MY WIFE DOES NOT KNOW THAT I KNOW I have been married for 14years 'we' have 3kids(all boys) but none of them belongs to me. I know this for a fact but my wife does not know that I know. Let me explain. 5years before I met my wife, I was involved in a car accident together with two of my friends. We were traveling from Kasoa to Madina and our car skidded off the road. I was the only survivor of that accident, my friends died. I spent about 11months at the hospital and that left me with a condition that says I can't have children. I gave my life to Jesus Christ and became a committed Christian after the incident. In summary I became a pastor in a local church in my community 5years later and met my wife in the process. I did not tell her about my condition because I was hopeful that God will heal me. 6years into our marriage my wife got pregnant and had 'our' first child. To be sure, I secretly went for a DNA n it was clear I wasn't the father. I repeated the test for all 3 children and they are all not mine. I have been living with this situation for the past 8 years and I am beginning to get irritated by both the children and my wife. My wife pretends to be a good wife. She goes round preaching to young women in the church about the need to remain faithful to their partners but she has had 3 children by another man or men I don't know. I want to confront her, but I am confused as to how to go about the situation. I am just angry and irritated by everyone in my house lately. I feel like a total stranger in my own home. What should I do! https://mobile./899005560181154?view=permalink&id=2166005056814525&refid=7&ref=opera_speed_dial&_ft_=qid.6677098748022043176%3Amf_story_key.8676719285697770512%3Agroup_id.899005560181154%3Atop_level_post_id.2166005056814525%3Acontent_owner_id_new.100006312072963%3Asrc.22%3Astory_location.5%3Aview_time.1554633199&__tn__=%2As-R |
President Muhammadu Buhari says the spike in activities of bandits and kidnappers across the country has made him one of the unhappiest leaders in the world. Several states, including Zamfara and Kaduna, have come under repeated attacks by suspected hoodlums. The attacks have left many dead and properties destroyed. On Saturday, some protesters marched to the presidential villa in Abuja over the persistent killings in Zamfara. In a statement by Garba Shehu, his spokesman, Buhari said his mind is constantly preoccupied with the insecurity challenges in the country. The president described as “ridiculous”, claims that he is indifferent to the incidents. He explained that as human, he understands the pains of the victims of the attacks. “How can I be happy and indifferent to the senseless killings of my fellow citizens by bandits?,” Buhari asked. “I am human and I understand the pains of the victims and their families who have been traumatized and impoverished by constant ransom demands by bandits. “The politicisation of tragedy reveals the darkest sides of our primitive politics. Almost every week, I summon my security chiefs to get an update on the strategies being devised to defeat these mass murderers. “There is no issue that dominates my mind every 24 hours like security because, as an elected president, protecting the citizens of my country is one of the primary functions of my administration. “I constantly listen to our security personnel in order to understand their problems and needs, and I have never hesitated to attend to those needs in terms of motivating and equipping them to respond effectively to our security challenges. “It is, therefore, ridiculous to suggest that I am indifferent to these killings. “I have ordered rapid and robust deployment of troops to all the areas currently under attack from bandits and we are determined to tackle this challenge ferociously until these remorseless killers are crushed and utterly defeated.” The president reassured Nigerians that ending banditry remains a key priority of his administration. He added that he would do whatever it takes to ensure the country’s security system confronts the perpetrators of the crimes. https://www.thecable.ng/buhari-im-one-of-the-unhappiest-leaders-in-the-world |

Babachir Lawal, a former secretary to the
government of the federation (SGF), says he is
qualified to lead Nigeria. In an interview with The Sun , Lawal said the constitution did not limit the presidency to any part of the country. He was speaking on the issue of zoning the 2023 presidency outside the north. “Every part of Nigeria can produce a president, a competent one,” he said. “I know so many. Being a cosmopolitan man, I know Igbos not less than ten that can successfully run this country; I know Yorubas that can do, I know Ijaws that can do, I know Hausas that can do, I know even Kilba. “Hey myself, my friend, I can be president of this country. I consider myself quite competent to do so from a small tribe of 300,000 people. There are so many such tribes that can produce good, competent leaders all over Nigeria. “Even if it is in the north, if we say the north-west has produced a presidential candidate, the south- west had produced one, I don’t see why the north- central can- not produce or the north-east cannot produce just as south-south, south-east, south-west and even north-west can still produce. The constitution doesn’t say it is prohibited. And as I said, I believe every zone, every state, has capable people that can run this country effectively.” Lawal said the idea of deputies succeeding their principals is neither in the constitution of Nigeria nor that of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Also touching on the outcome of the governorship election in his state of Adamawa, Lawal blamed APC’s loss on Jibrilla Bindow , governor of the state. He accused the governor of hijacking the party structure. “Part of what led to this outcome was a historical position that the government of Bindow had on several occasions publicly declared that their government was a government of Atiku,” he said. “It is on record that in so many fora, his supporters, his henchmen had said it in his presence and he didn’t take any step to deny it. I remember at one of their road launching somewhere in Adamawa State, the then-led Chief of Staff, made a long speech in which he insisted that Adamawa State Government was for Atiku. Now, we did also point out the fact that the governor himself had claimed that it was Atiku’s money that facilitated his victory at the polls. “He had said that on several occasions. We have also had cause to protest that in Bindow’s government, there were about seven serving com- missioners who were very close to Atiku, including his own daughter. Without regard to their merit as qualified indigenes, but I mean, their political inclinations in normal politics will disqualify them from participating in an APC government. But the governor didn’t think so.” Lawal was sacked as SGF in October 2017, after he was indicted in the over N544m grass-cutting scandal. https://www.thecable.ng/babachir-lawal-i-can-be-president-of-this-country |
Five Star Music Star, Kcee has revealed that the music industry is full of fake people and that there are certain people who have monopolized the gains of the music business, making it difficult for others to enjoy its dividends. Reacting to Waje’s recent viral video, Kcee said, “I saw Waje’s video and I was touched. I was supposed to say something about it but I was busy with my album project. However, I spoke to a few people about it. The truth is that the industry is a fake one; I am not just talking about the Nigerian music industry, but globally. Everybody is struggling. I have been in this business for 19 years and at every point in time, you have A-list artistes and they are about ten” “These set of people are the ones making all the money. There are hundreds of artistes behind them struggling to get to make it to the top ten list. These other artistes keep spending the same amount of money (the A-list artistes spend) to just get there and they also have to live like a celebrity. This costs a lot of money. If you do not have the drive and focus to keep the fire burning, it is going to weigh you down” he told Punch https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2019/4/the-nigerian-music-industry-is-fake-kcee.html

Court orders Bukola Saraki, Dino Melaye and Ben Bruce to honour Police invitation over October 2018 protest The Federal High Court, Abuja has ordered Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Senator Ben Bruce and Senator Dino Melaye to honour the Police invitation of October 5, 2018 in connection with the protest staged by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP). Justice Okon Abang gave the order on Thursday while delivering judgment in a fundamental human rights suit filed by the trio alleging intimidation, harassment and threat by the police. “It is my view that the police invitation to theThe judge held that even though the applicants were not on trial, where there were allegations against them, they had an obligation to report to the police upon been invited. He insisted that the court could not restrain the police from discharging its duties as long as it was done within the confines of the law. According to the judge, the suit of the applicants lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed with a cost of N50,000 awarded in favour of the police. The trio had filed an application asking the court to nullify the Oct. 6 and 8, 2018 letters of invitation to them by the Police. They claimed that the Police invitation was an attempt to harass, intimidate and unlawfully detain them. The senators also asked the court to declare that the act of dispersing their procession with tear gas was a violation of their fundamental rights, and asked the court to award N500 million to them as damages. The three senators were part of the PDP leaders who led a protest on Oct. 5, 2018 asking the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) to conduct free and fair elections. The protest was sequel to the Osun governorship election which was declared to have been won by the All Progressives Congress. They carried placards which read; “Police is an arm of APC, we demand free and fair elections amongst other inscriptions. They were on their way to the Force Headquarters when policemen dispersed them with teargas. The police stated that the applicants and about 100 hoodlums riotously blocked Shehu Shagari way preventing motorist and other road users going about their lawful duties for several hours. They further claimed that they forcefully attempted to enter into the Police Headquarters and became totally hostile. They also said that they rushed violently in an attempt to force their way into the force headquarters to cause damage to police equipment and government property. The police said they were warned to disperse but they refused and the police had to use the minimal force allowed by law to disperse them https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/323905-court-dismisses-fundamental-rights-suit-by-saraki-melaye-murray-bruce.html |
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the
ministry of finance, led by Zainab Ahmed, to sell all
recovered and liability-free assets in six months.
A number of politicians and former government
officials will be affected by this because some
assets have been seized in the course of the war
against corruption embarked on by the Buhari
administration. Speaking on Tuesday while briefing the house of representatives joint committee on finance, appropriation, planning and economic development, Udoma Udo Udoma, the minister of budget and national planning, said the federal government is determined to improve its revenue generation in 2019. “The Ministry of Finance, working with all the relevant authorities, has been authorized to take action to liquidate all recovered, unencumbered assets within six months,” he said. “The Department of Petroleum Resources has been directed to, within three months, complete the collection of past-due oil license and royalty charges, including those due from Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) (a subsidiary of NNPC), which it had agreed to pay since 2017.” Udoma told the lawmakers that the president has directed that work should be concluded on the deployment of the National Trade Window to enhance customs collections efficiency from the current 64% to up to 90% over the next few years. He attributed the government’s inability to meet its revenue target in 2018 to the non-implementation of some one-off items. According to Udoma, these items include the N710 billion from Oil Joint Venture Asset restructuring and N320 billion from the revision of the Oil Production Sharing Contract legislation/terms, which have now been rolled over to 2019. Speaking on the production quota agreed on by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, the minister explained that there is no quota set for condensates. “Mr. President has directed the NNPC to take all possible measures to achieve the targeted oil production of 2.3 million barrels per day.” He explained that in allocating funds in the 2019 budget proposals, priority was given to critical infrastructure projects. https://www.thecable.ng/buhari-finance-ministry-sell-all-recovered-assets |
After weeks of massive protest in Algeria, the
President of the country who has ruled for 20 years
has been forced to resign. https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2019/apr/03/Abdel.jpg Abdelaziz Bouteflika Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has resigned after weeks of massive street protests. Mr Bouteflika, who has been in power for 20 years, had already dropped plans to seek a fifth term as opposition to his rule grew. The powerful Algerian army had called for the 82- year-old to be declared incapable of carrying out his duties. Protesters have vowed to continue piling on pressure until the entire government is ousted. The BBC's Mohamed Arezki Himeur in Algiers says there were huge celebrations in the city, with people shouting, waving the national flag and honking their car horns all night. He says the protesters do not only want Mr Bouteflika to go, but the whole system, in particular the government which was only appointed last weekend. "This is just a little victory - the biggest is still to come," one protester said. Mr Bouteflika, who has been ill since he suffered a stroke six years ago, has avoided public events ever since. However, he made a rare appearance on state TV to relinquish power hours after military chief Lt Gen Ahmed Gaed Salah called on him to leave office immediately. One man, Selmaoui Seddik, told Reuters: "God willing, we will have a 100% democratic transition, this is very important. We need to remove the whole previous regime and that is the hardest thing." However, one protest leader, Mustapha Bouchachi, said before the announcement that any decision by Mr Bouteflika to quit would still change nothing and that the protests would continue. News of the resignation came in a statement carried on state news agency APS. "The president of the republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, has officially notified the president of the constitutional council of his decision to end his mandate as president of the republic," it said. State TV then reported that this would be with immediate effect. According to the constitution, the Senate speaker should take over as interim head of state until fresh elections are held. How did it come about? Pressure had been building since February, when the first demonstrations were sparked by Mr Bouteflika's announcement that he would be standing for a fifth term. Tens of thousands protested across the country on 1 March. Mr Bouteflika's promise not to serve out a fifth term if re-elected, along with a change of prime minister, failed to quell the discontent. Leaders of the protests also rejected Mr Bouteflika's offer this week that he would go by the end of his current term - 28 April - as not quick enough. It seems the powerful military agreed. Its chief, Lt Gen Ahmed Gaed Salah, said earlier on Tuesday: "There is no more room to waste time." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47795108 |

Inhaling sugar could be a way to tackle lung infections, research suggests. Scientists made the discovery while investigating white blood cells called macrophages, which remove harmful organisms from the immune system. The Manchester University team said macrophages in the lungs need the right level of glucose to function properly. Stimulating the cells with more sugar might help the immune system fight off bronchial infections responsible for coughing fits and pneumonia, they say in the journal Nature Immunology. Rochas Okorocha, governor of Imo state, says the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) might have serious setback in 2023 due to the leadership style of Adams Oshiomhole, its national chairman. Speaking on Monday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja, the governor said the national chairman has reduced the APC to a regional minority party in the south- east. Okorocha also said any attempt to south-east in the election of principal officers in the 9th national assembly will worsen the party’s chances in the region. “I have been watching carefully what is happening in the national assembly, it’s a very interesting drama. But all I ask of them is that they should consider the south-east in their calculations,” the governor said. “This nation will not be properly balanced if south- east is not carried along properly in the affairs of the national assembly. Nobody seems to be talking about the south-east; it looks like the south-east doesn’t have a place anymore. That is wrong, politically speaking and that will not be good for APC. Because there is going to be a bigger APC after President Muhammadu Buhari must have left the seat. “My fear now is that APC might have a serious set back in 2023 because the Oshiomhole-led executive is actually turning APC into a regional minority party which shouldn’t be because of his mistakes. “Right now in the whole of south-east, we don’t have an APC governor. So if there is any discussion in Nigeria now within the APC governors and President Muhammadu Buhari, there would be nobody from the south-east. This is what the APC chairman has done in the south-east. “I think it’s a capital attempt to frustrate the efforts of the south-east but I appeal to every Nigerian to support the cause of the south-east – their cause is germane and it should be supported in whatever position that is due them. They shouldn’t think about giving south-east, whatever position for giving sake. You can’t just wake up and give them any position. South-east is a key primary zone in this country and if we don’t get the number one seat, we should get the number two seat.” https://www.thecable.ng/okorocha-oshiomhole-has-reduced-apc-to-a-regional-party

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the State House Medical Centre (SHMC) should revert to serving its original purpose, according to Jalal Arabi, state house permanent secretary. Arabi said this on Monday when he appeared before the senate committee on federal character and inter- governmental affairs during a 2019 budget defence session in Abuja. He said the facility was initially meant to serve only the first and second families as well as Aso Villa staff. The presidency official added that while the directive was a case of ‘‘cutting one’s coat according to your cloth”, it will also make the medical centre functional. “Without prejudice to what is currently obtainable at SHMC, the intention to revert to a clinic is a presidential directive,” he said. “This is to make sure that the facility is functional and serves the purpose for which it was established, ab initio. It was initially meant to serve the first and second families and those working within and around the Villa. ‘‘The overstretching of facilities at the medical centre by patients is some of the challenges the Centre have been going through. It wasn’t meant for that purpose. ‘‘Nobody was charging anyone for any services and relying on appropriation means we will depend on subvention when it comes to run the Centre. ‘‘Whatever comes is what you utilise and if the last patient comes in to take the last drugs based on the last budgetary release, that is it and we have to wait till another release is done. “But this new development means that services will be streamlined to a clinic that will serve those that it was meant to serve when it was conceived.” Arabi also said the centre had a total budget of N1.03 billion in the 2018 budget, with N698 million as capital expenditure and N331.7 million as overhead cost. He said while the allocation for overhead cost was fully released, only N231.9 million was released for capital expenditure. TheCable had reported that the clinic lacks basic medical equipment and drugs such as syringe, paracetamol, cotton wool. Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, had also lamented the poor state of the facility. The house of representatives subsequently passed a resolution to set up a committee which will probe how the N10.9 billion said to have been released to the clinic from 2015 to 2017, was spent. https://www.thecable.ng/outsiders-banned-from-receiving-treatment-at-aso-rock-clinic |
Femi Gbajabiamila, member of the house of
representatives from Lagos state, has declared to
contest for the position of speaker in the 9th
assembly. Speaking during his televised declaration in Abuja on Sunday, the lawmaker who represents Surulere 1 federal constituency, said he is in the race as a “beacon of hope”. Gbajabiamila, who is currently the majority leader in the 8th assembly, is a fifth-term member in the All Progressives Congress (APC) who also ran for speakership in 2015 but lost to Yakubu Dogara. The APC is expected to produce the next speaker of the house, as it currently has an overwhelming majority in the green chamber. According to the lawmaker, he is contesting for the position as “a symbol of encouragement and point of contact for the many young men and women out there who believe that with hardwork and commitment whatever the mind can conceive is possible.” He said he is contesting for speaker to bring government closer to the people and to “galvanise federal lawmakers to make life more abundant for Nigerians.” “We are not where we ought to be considering the abundance of talents and the blessings from God. However, I am rest assured that slowly but surely we will get there,” he said. “It is because of this unshakeable belief in the potential and genius of Nigeria and the majesty of our democracy that I today, after wide consultations with my colleagues, friends, family, party and stakeholders and in total submission to the will of God, today formally declare my intention to seek the position of the office of the speaker of the 9th Assembly and offer my service to the nation in this capacity. “With all sense of humility, I seek this office with a rich legislative background and pedigree and having just won a historic 5th term mandate to the house, I have in the last 16 years dedicated my life to the service of my constituents and Nigeria. “I have studied and understood the intricate workings of the legislature, a critical arm of government and I have come to understand the imperative of striking a delicate balance in the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government without compromising the latter‘s independence.” The APC and President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to have endorsed Gbajabiamila for the position of speaker. https://www.thecable.ng/gbaja-why-i-want-to-be-speaker/amp |

A female student of the Nasarawa state polytechnic has reportedly run mad in Lagos state, causing a stir among people. According to a report by SaharaReporters, an unidentified female student lost her senses on Saturday morning in Lagos. The fair-skinned lady is a student of a polytechnic in Nasarawa State. According to eyewitnesses, the lady emerged from the Country Club area in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, and started talking to herself. "Nobody suspected anything at first as she was merely just loafing about," said one witness. "However, as she walked down Joel Ogunnaike Street, she started dancing. Then she went to the refuse bin and started picking stuff from there and puting into her bag. At that point, a few of us started approaching her to see if all was well with her. "Next thing we knew, she started removing her clothes, starting with her trousers. And that's when we knew all was not well and we immediately surrounded her. "Someone laid hands on her and started praying for her and she calmed down and we encouraged her to put on her clothes. We asked her a few questions, which she attempted to answer, but after a few minutes, it seemed she was starting to lose it again. So, we took her phone, which wasn't locked, and went through it; one of us called the number identified as that of her brother. "From what I gathered after the call was made, it was confirmed that she is a student of a polytechnic in Nasarawa. He also said we should please make sure she doesn't get lost as he would start his journey to Lagos immediately. "Afterwards, she was taken to a Police Station by some people." https://www.tori.ng/news/119391/unbelievable-female-student-of-nasarawa-polytechni.html

Nigerians have been encouraged to eat more of 'ewedu' as it is rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals that fight diseases. https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2019/mar/30/ewedu.jpg Ewedu leaf Mr Olugbenga Jagun, a nutritionist at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital ( UATH), Gwagalada, has said that jute leaf known as ‘Ewedu’ can prevent cancer and coronary diseases due to its richness in antioxidants and phytochemicals. Jagun said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja. The jute leaf is one of the common African leafy vegetables cultivated in gardens and farms for home use.. He said that “Dieticians called it a pharmacy on your plate due to the numerous nutritional-health benefits. “It is a good source of vitamins and mineral elements such as calcium, potassium, iron, vitamin C, B, K, Folic acid. “These vitamins and mineral elements have a great therapeutic effects on our body such as the lowering of blood pressure and neural tube defects in pregnant women. “It is rich in both essential and non-essential amino acid, example is Lysine. ” He added that it also helps to prevent constipation due to the presence of fibre in it, making it a natural laxative. Jagun also said the plant could be ideal in the case of obesity because of its almost no-fat and low cholesterol level. “The leaf is a good anti-anemic which prevents anaemia due to high iron content and also facilitates the production of red blood cells. “Excellent and appropriate food for the elderly because of its calcifying action, that is the supply of calcium,” he said. Jagun advised Nigerians to consume the leaf due to its numerous health benefits. Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has vowed he will not heed to the court order directing for his arrest in UK. https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2019/mar/30/Nnamdi-Kanu-600x425.jpg IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says he will not allow the Federal Government arrest him in the United Kingdom as he has planned to challenge the order in the United Kingdom. The IPOB leader also tackled the federal government over his prosecution, insisting he is innocent of the accusations against him. A federal high court in Abuja had revoked the bail granted Kanu in 2017, after his continued absence in court. Binta Nyako, justice of the court, also issued an arrest warrant against the IPOB leader, citing the continued absence of the IPOB leader in court. Kanu, who is facing trial alongside other Biafran activists for alleged treason, had gone into hiding months after his bail only to reappear in Israel after one year. He then moved to the UK. Speaking during a broadcast on Radio Biafra, a recording of which was obtained by TheCable on Saturday, Kanu said he has instructed his lawyers to challenge the arrest warrant in a UK court. “The revocation of my bail will never ever hold; they can never convict us because we have done nothing wrong,” he said. “Every move they make, every decision they take, I will challenge. I have instructed my lawyers, we will challenge in a competent court of law here in Britain where law actually works. I am waiting for them. “Any day you instruct INTERPOL, that day I will take it up in court and they must answer because here is a civilised country. “First, I am not a Nigerian citizen. Your bail revocation will never ever work. Anybody interested in revoking my bail would have asked the army what they were doing in my place.” The IPOB leader said the cause for a sovereign state of Biafra is not a crime, and that the group — which has already been banned and tagged a terrorist organisation — will continue to advocate for its cause. “They have not even defined the crime they said I have committed. There is no crime in Nigeria called secession; secession is not a crime in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. Only armed rebellion is a crime, not self determination,” said Kanu. “If you are out to demoralise us, you will never ever succeed. We will continue to agitate; we continue to move forward because we are IPOB; we don’t relent and can never ever relent. Which crime did Nnamdi Kanu and his co-defendants commit? Somebody should name it. Secession is not a crime.” Share this news: https://www.thecable.ng/it-will-never-work-nnamdi-kanu-vows-to-challenge-his-arrest-in-uk-court/amp |
