Thank God president Obasanjo barred the airing of "Miracle videos" on television in Nigerian during his regime. It was too much mockery. I think South Africa should follow suit because this days, a lot of controversial pastors are deceiving people and getting a way with it.

OAP Toke Makinwa’s and Husband, Maje Ayida Are Officially Divorced

It took only 3 years. What a world we live in today. Toke Makinwa and hubby's divorce is now official. An Igbosere High Court in Lagos has finally dissolved Toke Makinwa’s 3-year old marriage to ex husband Maje Ayida.

Toke filed for divorce in March 2016 on grounds that her husband committed adultery. Ayida according to Justice Morenike Obadina, filed an answer to the petition but did not give oral evidence to support it.

She said the position of the law was settled as pleadings did not amount to evidence and therefore dissolved the union. Makinwa, is the co-host of the ‘Morning Drive’ on Rhythm 93.7FM, a blogger and an author.

“Pleadings on which no evidence was led are deemed abandoned. Therefore, Ayida’s evidence is deemed abandoned. “The effect being that the petitioner’s evidence is unchallenged and uncontroverted,’’ she ruled.

The judge said the issue of cruelty which the petitioner (Makinwa) relied on was established because of the “mental and emotional stress” she was subjected to by her husband. He said Makinwa had sufficiently proven that the husband committed adultery and continued to flaunt his adulterous relationships even to her face. “I hold that the marriage has broken down on grounds of intolerable behaviour. “I hereby pronounce a `Decree Nisi’ dissolving the marriage between Makinwa and Ayida which was administered at the Federal Marriage Registry, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Jan. 15, 2014.

“The order Nisi shall become absolute three months from today unless within that period sufficient cause is shown why it should not be made absolute,” Obadina said. Makinwa had told the court that her husband committed adultery with his mistress, Anita Solomon, adding that the relationship produced a child. She said since their marriage was contracted, the husband had “behaved in a way she could not reasonably be expected to continue to bear”. She also said the husband was cruel towards her, adding that their differences became irreconcilable.

NAN also reports that during the trial, the petitioner (Makinwa ) testified in court and tendered some documents including their marriage certificate which were admitted in evidence. In her testimony, she said that after their marriage was contracted in 2014, cohabitation with her husband ceased on Nov. 8, 2015, without any child from the marriage. She also told the court of an instance where her husband threatened separation and even drafted a separation agreement because she discovered that he bought a ticket for his mistress to travel to London.

The first respondent (Ayida) who replied to the petition when served, however, instructed his counsel, Mr T. O. Lawal, not to continue with the defence. Ayida through his counsel, therefore, foreclosed all evidence. The mistress (Solomon), who is the second respondent, refused to join issues with the petitioner.

Sickness Outbreak - Monkey Pox Virus: What Nigerians Must Avoid Eating – Minister Of Health

This is serious and instruction here should be adhere to to the last letter. The Federal Ministry of Health has told Nigerians to avoid the consumption of monkeys, bush meat and dead animal as doing so could expose one to the risk of Monkey Pox disease.

According to reports, Bayelsa State has a medical doctor and no fewer than 10 persons reportedly been infected and quarantined as a result of the virus.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, gave the advice in a statement by the Director, Media and Public Relations in the ministry, Boade Akinola, on Thursday According to the minister, the disease neither had a cure nor a vaccine, noting, however, that there was no cause for alarm as it was mild.

The statement read in part;

“He (Adewole) said the virus was mild and there was no known treatment and no preventive vaccines, hence the public should be at alert and avoid crowded places as much as possible. “He advised the public to avoid eating dead animals, bushmeat and particularly bush monkeys.”

The minister also revealed that test samples had been sent to the World Health Organisation (laboratory ) in Senegal but the result was still being awaited. He, however, called on Nigerians, who had symptoms of fever, back pain and rashes resembling chicken pox, to report to the hospital.

It added, “The symptoms include headache, fever, back pains and in advanced cases, rashes bigger than those caused by chicken pox.”

Nollywood actor, Chinonso Chukwujekwu aka Boss man, who died on September 4th 2017, has been laid to rest in his home town. He was interred at his father’s compound in Nnewi, Anambra state yesterday October 5th.

He was just 27 years old. May his soul rest in peace Amen.

Former senate president Anyim Pius Anyim who served during President Olusegun Obasanjo regime has openly denied link with the United State-based Nigerian actress, Blessing Anyim, her US based daughter or (her alleged daughter) because of comments she made regarding the treatment of Biafra by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The actress had lent out her voice to address the ongoing Biafra agitation posed at President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying that celebrities are in best position to use their influence on the stability of peace, which she tagged unnegotiable.

She was quoted as saying;

“Celebrities have the biggest platform to persuade or grab the attention of people. The roles celebrities can play to ensure the stability of the country can not be overemphasised. Instead of keeping mute, they should use their platforms to influence and persuade the Nigerian society at large for peace stability.”

Stressing further, Blessing lamented lack of democratic respect in the Nigerian societal system. “In this part of the world, people don’t respect the democratic system of governance the way they are meant to respect it. Of course you have the right to vote the candidates who best represent your ideas and beliefs, so when situations like this present themselves we have leaders who can come together and think of a solution to avoid the killing of innocent people.”

In a swift reaction, the former senate president said he never had any child by that name, and that all his children are based in Nigeria.

"My attention has been drawn to a publication credited to one “Blessing, Anyim Pius Anyim’s daughter” in Nairaland online platform. I want to use this opportunity to clarify the following:

That none of my children lives or had ever lived outside Nigeria

That I have no daughter that is an actress. My only daughter just finished her first degree examination in Nigeria last month and so is yet to undergo her National Youth Service talk less of engaging in any carrier.

That as at today, I am the only politician in my house and so none of my children or even my wife has any political interest or any opinion on national issues.

May I state that the statement though may not be hurtful but is not from anybody related to me in anyway and as a matter of fact nobody in my family knows the actress under reference.

Gulder Ultimate Search Winner's Alleged Murderer Says He Only Got N7000 For Killing Him

The braim behind murder of a former winner of Guilder Ultimate Search, Hector Jobarteh, has said he only got N7,000 for the job. The 49-year-old suspect, Ismaila Adeyemi, who is in police custody with five other accomplices, said they originally set out to rob Jobarteh, not to kill him.

According to him, he only took the victim's mobile phone and sold it at N7000, through his brother, Usman Adeyemi, who has also been arrested. The suspect said he gave his brother N2000 out of the money while he took N5000.

On September 3, 2017, Jobarteh, 38, was shot dead after the assailants trailed him to his house on Olufowora Close, New Oko-Oba, Agege, from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. It was gathered that the deceased had gone to pick his younger brother at the airport. Four other suspects, apart from Ismaila and Usman, are also in police custody in connection to the incident.

According to Pulse News, the suspects include an Uber driver, who took the gang to the victim's house, and the buyers of the stolen phone. The Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, paraded Ismaila on Monday, October 1. Narrating the incident to journalists, the suspect identified some of his gang members who took part in the robbery as Nonso and KK.

He said a lady, who is still at large, led them to the deceased's residence. He said, "I knew KK through Nonso, whom I worked with in a filling station in Apapa some years back. I met Nonso about five months ago and I gave him the address of where I live in Sango, Ogun State. KK just came back from abroad that time.

"I did not know who the man was before the operation. On that day, we parked at a filling station around his house and a lady came to meet KK. After a while, he received a call from the lady and we saw the man (Jobarteh) drove into the close.

"We followed him, but did not know where he entered. KK approached a woman and lied to her that the man’s car hit his and he sped off. He begged her to direct us to where the man entered and she did. When we got into the building, we saw the car and met another lady on the premises. "KK asked the lady to lead us to the man’s apartment, but she declined. It was when he pointed a gun at the woman that she complied and took KK upstairs. He called us to come upstairs, but by the time we got to a living room upstairs, he had shot the man’s father in the hand.

He added that the gunshot prompted Jobarteh to come out from a room to the living room, where KK immediately shot him dead. "I did not shoot at all, although I was holding a gun too. I quarrelled with KK for shooting them, because our plan was just to rob. He threatened to shoot me and I kept quiet. It was a pair of shoes and flowers that were in the bag we collected from him. We didn’t find money there.

"I took away only his white handset while KK went with the bag. I gave the phone to my brother, Usman, to help me sell it. He said he sold it for N7,000. I collected N5,000 and gave him N2,000."

But the Lagos Police Commissioner, Edgar Imohimi, insisted that Ismaila shot the GUS winner.

Churchill Responds To Tonto Dikeh's Claim - I Am Not the Son of The Ex-President Obasanjo's Gardener

Actress Tonto Dikeh as been frequent on the social media this days, either she is standing against domestic violence or she is accusing his ex husband for one thing or the other. The later been the one she knows how to do best.

Just few days ago, she claimed that her ex husband, Olakunle Churchill's father was a domestic staff (Gardner) to former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Recall that she earlier claimed that Churchill was the ex president's son. Less I forget, the fight between the duo has made her curse journalist Azuka Ogujiuba over her comments and assertions on their matter. Azuka released damning evidence to prove that Tonto Dikeh lied against the husband.

Churchill however has responded to Tonto's claim and he explained everything on his page while replying to a question posed by a concerned follower:

"I'll take time out from my very busy schedule to address these lies quickly. King's mother had him through CS operation ... it wasn't a natural birth. Her healing process took 3 months and the doctor strongly advised against copulation for the said period. We lived together for only six months and with 3 months without copulating a 4 months pregnancy that got terminated by domestic violence is an impossibility which clears me of the claims of being a murderer and causing her to lose the said pregnancy that was a figment of her imagination to make the false claims believable.

Secondly;the gold pedant she had on in the pictures showing her scars I bought from Switzerland and I handed that to her 1st December 2016. Just 2 days after the incident at my mum's house she held an event where she fixed roads for the disabled colony without make up and she had no facial scars; dec 22 2016 which backs up my claims that I never raised my hands to her through out all the damage she wrecked; also the last time I saw this woman was in December . Google is free and you can graciously use that medium to confirm that what i just said is the truth and nothing but the truth.

About being the son of a gardener; my mum's pictures are on the internet, she had being living in the U.K before I was born. Does she look like a gardener's wife?

So what if my father was a gardener? Which he apparently wasn't, our Lord Jesus was born a carpenter's son. Where you come from should never determine the limits to your greatness in life. My father wasn't a gardener; that's very untrue. I never raised my hands against my ex wife. She was the one who violently attacked me with knives and weapons at every altercation. I am a man of few words and I do not fight at all neither can I cause bodily harm to any human. I was raised better than that.

Scornful people will stop at nothing to taint people's image but it is God's work to vindicate a man. People need to stop getting bamboozled by lies they read on social media; any one can lie about sensitive matters to get public sympathy but it takes real eyes to recognize real lies.

when things don't add up from too many lies a person tells just to sound believable because they are aware they have become a persona non grata on the internet and a laughing stock in the society at large. 6 months of marriage is too short for all these testimonies and claims. As for domestic violent there should be at least witnesses, her younger sister stayed with us and nanny, where is the doctor that treated her?

Does that she look like the kind of woman that you can beat and go to sleep,she will stab you before the next morning,and she doesn't joke with evidences,if she doesn't have one she rather sends you a false text message that you won't understand as evidences without your replies,then she posts up. The most painful part of all this is that I was warned by everyone not to get involved with her and look at what I get for giving her benefit of doubt.

The only good thing that came out of that relationship was my King so I just take it all as one of those things that life throws at you."

The death toll at the Las Vegas concert last night has risen to 50 with at least 200 people injured according to reports. Dozens were killed in a shooting outside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino after a gunman unloaded hundreds of rounds of ammo on a Las Vegas country music festival on Sunday night.

This insistent shooting is really taken a tool in America lately. Witnesses said shots were fired from an elevated hotel position. More than 100 people were wounded. There were 30,000 people in attendance at the event.

According to LVMPD Sheriff Joe Lombardo, Off-duty police officers are among the dead. Their identities have not been released. Two police officers are also being treated for injuries with one officer in critical condition and the other has minor injuries.

Reports suggest that the shooter is a 64yrs old male and his female companion has already been arrested. The 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, a resident of nearby Mesquite, Nevada, who opened fire on the festival taking place at Las Vegas Village from a room across the street in the Mandalay Bay Hotel shortly after 10pm.

Officers say Paddock was shot and killed after they breached a room in the hotel, where he had stashed an 'arsenal' of weapons used during the massacre.

It seems marriage is going nuclear this days as the world evolves. More and more women today are settling for ‘living happily apart’ relationships and not "Happily ever after". No matter how you look at it, it works.

Yes is true almost all ladies had dreams of the stereo-typed relationships "meet a prospective partner, get married, have desired children and live happily ever-after", but things seem a little complicated this days.

But reality is far from all that. When I got married,’ said Lisa, a medical doctor, “I did because I was pregnant. Both of us were in medical school and my family wouldn’t approve of me getting pregnant out of wedlock.

“Marriage is for life,” preached my prim mother, “and no child has a right to be born a bastard if both parents could help it.” “So we got married and married life was not what I expected it to be. My new husband was always studying and it was soon obvious we got married out of necessity than love.

We eventually qualified and went on to have two more children. I was lucky to have a cossy apartment that went with my job whilst my husband stayed on at the teaching hospital. Marriage was dull. I was in my 30s and not prepared to hang on to a hum-drum existence for the rest of my life. Then my husband was given the accommodation he’d applied for for years and he wanted me to move in with him. I refused.

The apartment I had was on a good part of the city – why leave that to live in a block of flats? “We parted amicably and got divorced shortly after. I eventually met a man I really fancied. He was a divorcee too – he’d been for about seven years and had four children. A successful businessman, he wanted us to get married straight away.

I was happy in the relationship and was actually in love with him. The more I thought about the prospect of re- marrying, the more I convinced myself that what mattered most to me was romance. Romance had quickly died when I first got married, and I resented staying at home to look after the kids, see to the cleaning of the house and hold down a full-time job. “That was when I made up my mind never to live with a man again.

I sat my new man down, explained how I felt and left it to him to make up his own mind about the relationship. I was happy when he said he loved me and was quite happy to have me on any terms. He’d had some bad experiences in his marriage and didn’t want a repeat performance. To give our union a semblance of stability, we did a traditional wine-carrying ceremony just to appease our relatives. So now, he stays with me weekends till Monday when he goes back to his house.

His children are quite grown and either live abroad or stay in apartments given them by their dad. We’ve had this ‘marriage’ for five years now. We value the time we’re with each other and have a healthy social life . This keeps the romance and passion alive and because we’re not together all the time, we don’t get under each other’s skin. There are no rows about money or silly little things that drive a wedge between other couples. When he comes into my home, it’s on my own terms. His things are neatly placed – whereas in his home, he does what he likes. He always leaves lights and air conditioners on unnecessarily.

But he knows I’m conscious of my electricity bills and will turn off all lights and won’t leave things plugged in.

‘It’s the happiest relationship I’v ever been in and I put it down to living separately, I wouldn’t change a thing!’. According to Edurie, a renowned actress, “I love the fact that I can get on the plane to say Abuja with my friends instead of being tied to the house because I have to put hot meals on the table for my husband or breast-feed a child. After I had my daughter, 13 years ago, I’d decided one was enough.

I’m only human, and like any woman, have had days during a break-up of a relationship when I sit around in my nightie feeling depressed. Yet I quickly realise that, we came into this world alone and we all go out of it alone and there’s no point being reliant on anyone else to make you happy. ‘I’ve’ really had three boyfriends in my 40 odd years and all have been high-profile relationships.

My first serious boyfriend was an industrialist with whom I had my daughter and he still takes good care of us. I was engaged to the second one and dumped him when I caught him sleeping with a close friend. The third one was a bit younger and immature so we amicably agreed to be just friends. As a matter of fact. I’m on friendly terms with my exes and appreciate what I have learnt from all of them. It takes strength to look back on a relationship and learn from the experiences you had with that person.

‘This understanding comes with age, of course. When I was in my 20s, I was in a relationship because I felt it completed me. But now I look back and feel so grateful that I didn’t marry the person I was with then, I have changed so much as a person since then and I’m sure he has changed too.

With age and experience, I have become confident and happy in myself regardless of who comes in or out of my life. I certainly don’t want anyone to look at me as a 40-year-old single mother and feel sorry for me. I’m having the time of my life … “

There has been much rumors on socials recently regarding the split of duo Nigeria RnB singer, P-Square but they are rumors nonetheless. Following the much cryptic messages on their social media handle, there are reasons to assume that their split is eminent.

However, none of them has come out to state the reason for their actions, it seems Peter Okoye aka Mr P is already moving on for real this time. Peter who is in Philadelphia, confirmed he is a solo artiste using a video posted on his Snapchat with the caption ‘I’m on my own‘ as he was about to go on stage.

Popular Nollywood actor and producer, Friday Ugwu, famously known as Okaka De Don is dead. Ugwu, who is also known as DJ Kross died last night in a fatal road accident along Lagos – Badagry Express road in Ojo.

It was gathered that the actor was riding with his friend when a trailer lost control and ran over them, crushing them to death on the spot.

Confirming the sad incident, an official of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Benue State chapter, Gideon Ameh said his corpse has been deposited in a mortuary in Lagos while the driver of the vehicle is currently cooling his heels at the police station.

Ugwu, a native of Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State came into limelight when he produced and played the lead role in the movie entitled Okaka De Don many years ago.

He also produced the popular comedy series, Pintolo.
