9jacrip:That has been done so many times, but the owner of the site is too frightened so he either fixes the votes or changes the poll. |
ChinenyeN:I'm guessing Nsuka is a village group that was urbanised. |

Who? |
Even better: "Educational attainment: Women (no education) North Central 35.5% North East 68.1% North West 74.2% (wow) South East 6.3% South South 6% South West 12%" "Men North Central 15.4% North East 45% North West 40.7% South East 0.9% (wow) South South 2.3% South West 5.2%" Makes me wonder what would have happened if Lagos and Abuja weren't capitals at one point. |
Though he was himself an Ibo and a lieutenant-colonel in the army, he had not been involved in this Ibo-led plot, nor, less surprisingly, did he take part in the second coup, six months later, which was led by northerners. He was a federalist, which is to say he believed in keeping Nigeria as a federal state.Bookmarked! The colonel was clever and more educated than his counterparts, which may have been why he would not defer to his antagonist, Lieut-Colonel Yakubu Gowon, the federal supreme commander; or perhaps he was just proud and obstinate, as his critics had it.Bookmarked! At the time, though, Biafra still seemed to offer the prospect of a country better run than most others in Africa, and the fears of genocide were certainly well founded.Bookmarked! |
Use of Insecticide-Treated Nets North Central 4% North East 4% North West 4% South East 11% South South 9% South West 5% Nigeria's average: 6% Again, every region apart from the "south south" is half of the south east. The only test failed is violence, and by failed I mean the south east matched the average. All this with no foreigner filled former capital. It seems the south east are more health conscious (or more enlightened?) so their health rates will obviously be lower than regions that don't have adequate check ups, for example the HIV testing, where 1/4 of south easts young women are getting their proper check up, which gives it a higher HIV rate than Nigeria's tiny 1/10. The same can be said for the Infant mortality rate (the south east has the highest Births assisted by a skilled provider). Nigeria is holding people back. |
My own take on the matter is that the SW is the best zone, aside from the oil-rich SS. Either #1 or #2 in each of the following statistics: Higher GDP, GDP per capita, life expectancy, IGR, literacy rates, JAMB pass rates, JAMB take rates Couple this with the migration we see to this zone, indicators like construction projects we see on sites like Skyscraper city, # of banks, reports like the following (http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/12/01/honda-place-opens-in-ibadan/), etc, and the picture becomes pretty clear. Then again, this isn't anything new, I suppose. Prior to the discovery and large-scale production of oil in Nigeria, Yorubaland was also the wealthiest part of Nigeria.
In this thread, we're trying to back things up with accurate trustworthy sources. |
Regarding HIV, see this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-646183.192.html Ekiti is the 2nd lowest in Nigeria period, it seems. SW as a zone is 3rd behind NW and NE, if I remember correctly (NC, SS and SE all higher)
"Previous HIV Testing among Young Women North Central - 5% North East - 3% North West - 2% South East - 23% South South - 11% South West - 9%" |
Actual facts trump loud mouths and their follow-follow's. |
This thread should be on the front page. |
And more fatherless children stumble their yam heads into their favourite past time: making a fool of their people. |
Where is the generalisations? Ogun state? Murder capital? |
What do you expect from low lives? Low life jokes. Where is the follow-follow to follow up? |
VERY GOOD! Ngwa Massob, do your job! Perfect time for propaganda. Shut down Ala Igbo. Col. Ojukwu must be buried while rapped in a yellow sun. |
In fact, this PDF is making me sad, certain regions are misrepresenting other regions. How can 23% of the south east's women be doing their duties and getting HIV tests regularly, yet Nigeria's overall percentage of those getting HIV tests is only 7%. South east teenage child bearing is 8%, yet Nigeria's average is 23%, south east vaccinations coverage is 43%, Nigeria 23%. Holding people back! |
How did ACN capture an Igbo state like Ogun ![]() |
EzeCanada:Can anybody help a follow-follow? They can be led to do anything including mocking the ill. |
So that was a quick thread. Conclusion: No one's being marginalised, different cultures provide different results (for better or for worse) |
Obviously from the PDF posted the south east/"south souths" standard of living is WAY above Nigerias' as a whole. |
23% of the south east women get HIV testing and the closest region to the number is "South south" with 11%, WOW! |
From best to worst: South east "South south" the rest |
ode remo:Yes, this definitely sounds like the south east, and the other incident at Shagamu as well. Ogun is in the wrong region! |
lmao @ bling bling an eyelid. Seriously, I wish those boys could have joined the party. "Rich" Politicians doing bling bling owanbe when people in Ebonyi are begging for food. Simply a shame.
No one is Ebonyi is begging for food, should have stuck to the beggars you know in Ikwikwi state. |
pro01:Envy that their Western nations are ripping these people off? |
LOL at feeling victorious over international thieves. What would I look like being joyous over Orji kalu's victories. |
Or get a bunch of foreigners to own it. (I haven't read the article) |
She's talking about armed robbers AKA politicians. |
And the follow-follow rotten bottom tumbles in. |
