Afam4eva: Is this man calling Igala people antelopes because of Ahmadu Ali. I think this is tasteless and very racist. How can a black man be a racist to a person of the same race? And when has Ali=Igala with this yet again wannabe writer? |

oxford: 1. BREAKDOWN OF LAW AND ORDER IN THE NORTH:I thought you said that the people you mentioned are the brainchild, won't make sense then that when they come to power that the insurgent will stop, how is it going to be a filed day going by your own analysis? oxford: 1.I thought the election is won and lost, how is it denied as if someone give it or take it? And if the South-South restart their own wahala, whose brainchild would that be, since you subject the one now from the north to those you mentioned. In your opinion some insurgent are good and justified while others aren't? Is that your point? oxford: 1Where do you get all this stuff and conjectures from? Nigeria from day one had always been all about upheaval, so what different does another doze makes? Its normal. What is one Nigeria without upheaval? Get over your self and your fear mongering.oxford: 1.So we don't have foreign debt as we speak? So you will complain if there is a !00% subsidy? Which anyway is highly unlikely- stop spreading fear. there is always another way. Men always resort to fear. when they run out of gas. Its those benefitting from the so called economy worries about its collapse, to an average man on the street, things has always been the same as they don't know the difference between a Nigerian booming economy and a collapsing one. oxford: 1.This government is a continuous of the one that started since 1999, so by 2015 it will be 16 years old and you are rambling on about a road project unfinished in 16 years? A child born 16 years ago is now approaching manhood, getting ready for university education, can father a child, can be a mum to another human and in all those period, you cannot finish a road project that will be abandoned by another incoming govt? More reason you have no business piloting peoples affairs in the first place as a government. |
Sincere 9gerian: WE are in the season of political anomie in Nigeria and the vultures are already searching for carrion. The alarm bells are ringing where normality is undisturbed and the names and reputations of innocent people are the subject of sadistic imaginations of the character assassins.I think I knew more than what is happening inside Pentagon/CIA than this writer seem to know what is happening inside PDP's inner circle. |
Billyonaire: PDP is already registered my friend, we are only concerned about new parties that may not afford 1m, that is to show you that PDP welcomes more political parties.I think when lion start caring so much about the Zebras and antelopes in the kingdom, it means there is trouble in the jungle ![]() |
stankezzy: 2nd niger bridge, chief of army staff, former power minister, etc jonathan all the way.Former power minister! (Thats an achievement?) You guys will kill me slowly. |
tinnymerit: If its true, then buhari is a mistake,he has a bad record with the southerners and he has intentions of islamizing Nigeria, only that bakare cant discerned then that he was been used as a puppet to tame the xtians populace but unfortunately he has put fig trees in the eyes of many xtian leaders. Can any of you tell me what this bad record with the east are? Lay out this his Islamising of Nigeria intentions, how and when? You think you are more discerning than men like Bakare and out dearest Chuba Okadigbo or his own wife? I am not saying you are wrong, but I will like you to present to me with facts to support the bave claims, not an article your read or how you feel, but facts. |
jmaine: 10% is even too generous. . . . . .And how many percentage do you think an Igbo man will get from where Buhari comes , when its your turn to aspire or just Igbo vote will be enough? Some of you lacks the sophistication of playing Nigeria version of politics. Don't always lay out your card in the open, keep it to your chest, because tomorrow is very much pregnant, you don't know what it will deliver. I personally do not see Buhari needing Igbo vote to win Nigerian presidency and I don't see him ever winning election in Nigeria as long as there is PDP and INEC alliance, but if by any chance or some mistake he wins, what will some of you do in that scenario, having laid all your eggs in one basket? Something to think about. |
mailemy: GEJ all the way if this is what APC can come up with. Buhari and Rochas combination is total rubbish to me. Even as an igbo man,I cannot vote for Rochas.Tell me any area Jonathan is better than Rochas, Chibike Amaechi, Godwill Akpabio or Sullivan Chime? Is it intelligent, personal achievement outside govt, oratory, charisma, outspokenness or bravery? |
alexleo: GEJ enlisted Anambra State as oil producing state without delay. If it were a Northerner, Anambra wouldnt have been an oil state by now. Not even in the next 20 years. Some you don't know how ridiculous you sound with such above. You make this oil statu sound like a chieftaincy title bestowed by a benevolent king on his subjects that tickles his fancy. If Anambra is with a crude oil producing statu, its simply because Anambra actually has a crude oil on her land to produce and got nothing to do with whether Jonathan is president or not. Why don't he give Ebonyi the same statu, since he is such a miracle worker of oil statu, even when they don't have any so far? If Anambra is what you said they are now, it purely based on merit based on what nature has given them, not because of a politician. This is the kind of mindset that has make Nigeria unworkable, where natural process is regarded as a political gift and the politicians plays on it. So if the messiah GEJ leaves tomorrow, what then? What you should be asking him is to use his power to hand over everybody what rightly belongs to them, to manage by themselves, so that you don't have to go and bow to him for calling you a name, nature bestowed on you for free. But he has never addressed not a single issue of resources control. The Igbo army chief of staff was there by his own right and well qualified to do what he is doing and that is his personal career success, got nothing to do with yours or mine's day to day life as person. Its the same army that he commands that are murdering our young people (MASSOB members) on a daily basis, if his position is such a wonderful Igbo liberation. |
oga all these long talk cannot make us vote for buhari the man is a terrorist! we are better with GEJ than buhari! a buhari will never allow an international airport in enugu or owerri
I will be insane to ask you to vote even for my father in Nigerian politics. I am trying to make sense of the argument of the thread. I didn't ask you to vote for any one last time, why will I be asking you now? Who you vote is your business. 99.99% will always vote based on religious, ethnic/tribal leaning, and that is not a brainer, but when some of you try to make academic of that choice as if its not based on those sentiments, the whole charade looks ludicrous. You claim not to vote for Buhari because an Igbo person is playing second fiddle and I then ask you based on the same sentiment, how do you justify your choice of GEJ even when an Igbo man isn't playing any kind of fiddle with his ticket? It has nothing to do with GEJ or Buhari as persons, I am only going by your own line of reasoning. |
emmasege: This is the only man in PDP that i can wholeheartedly give my vote in 2015. Highly intelligent, vocal, self-confident, de-tribalized, go-getter. I think it's time Nigeria produced another world-class president in the person of David Mark and regained her position in the international arena. i hope this will not draw the anger of oga at the top o, since he's head-bent on a self-destructive journeyWhat is de-tribalized about David Mark? Give me a single example of that quantification? I don't know any Nigerian, especially the political class who is not a tribal bigot, though the degree of exercising it may differ from person to person. |
4kmukina: The era of playing second fiddle to hausa is OVER! they tought they can win over igbo vote by making Rochas VP, and b4 u know it they impeach him or kill him like Chuba Okadigbo. How does this your analysis make any sense? You don't want to play second fiddle you said but want to thumbprint GEJ all the way, even a ticket without a 3rd fiddle in it? If some of you are that desperate to rule Nigeria, I will then suggest that you most likely hope toward it through the route Rochas and his group are pursuing. I can't see PDP not fielding a northerners in 2019 assuming Jonathan manage to remain there. But Rochas as an assistant to a Buhari who is his 70s has more chance, than some of you hoping that by some trance Jonathan will hand over to an Igbo man, when he cannot hand over to himself. In fact I will say that Jonathan may be in luck if APC pairs Buhari with an Igbo person, because many Yorubas may decide in secret to give Jonathan a protest vote or boycott it as they did in 2011. |
Reference: When I say the structure is more important than parties or people folks here take no heed. Now the APC is faced with a catch 22 situation. Let me see how they will square this circle. No structure of Nigeria is about to change any time soon. If you change the structure, were does that leave one Nigeria? The present structure is what is keeping one Nigeria and any time or day it changes, Nigeria itself will disappear in flash. The winners of the war created the structure for a reason. They are not stupid. |
Onitsha Sea Port. Ugwuta Lake Port. Ugwuta Power Plant Anambra's Oil State Membership Enugu Airport's International Status. All these are landmark investments which would fast-track the development of YOUR South-East, and they would never have been possible under a northern bigot.
All these listed above how many are plans and how many are reality, functioning and operational as we speak? So God's given oil in Anambra is down to him, how is that? People of South East and what you guys call south south want hundred percent control of their natural wealth on their land not some membership of a club. The day Jonathan is brave enough to table the bill that he wants everyone to control their stuff, then you guys can then talk. Jonathan is just a lackey of the old establishment with a different hat, just like OBJ, NOTHING HAD CHANGE OR WILL EVER CHANGE and stop kidding yourselves. |
Goddex: Afam, why can't APC pick a flagbearer from South East? You can reverse your question and ask why can't GEJ step down for an Igbo man, instead of planning to hand over to a northerner after his 2nd term (i.e if he wins it)? Why some of you, even if drunk ever think that an Igbo born person will ever be president of Nigeria? Nigerians are terrified of an Igbo man. An average Yoruba man will rather eat his balls than to vote for another tribe in an election let alone an Igbo man. It will never happen, unless another Yar Adua/Jonathan happens (highly unlikely) Some of you are naive about this Nigerian politics. Nigerian presidency belong to North/West, the winners of the civil war. They viewed that position as the booty of the war, that why they have combined to ran Nigeria aground without minding. Jonathan was a mistake, unforeseen natural process has forced on them and they don't want it to continue. What many of you always forget was that Jonathan was not chosen or became president because of his brilliance, his intelligent or the love they have for him. He became president by shire unexpected luck of Yar Adua dying. APC will always put Buhari on the first ticket- One single reason alone, he has 12 million ready made votes even in the faces of INEC/PDP's rigging machines. Which of Rochas, Fasholas of this world has that figure voting power behind them? Some of you should really, get real with the reality of the real Nigeria. |
Ilaje Omuro: 6. In 1993, when there was agitation for return of power to the South, unofficial result of the 1993 presidential election showed that Bashir Tofa, the NRC candidate won in Abia (58.9%) and Imo states (55.1%). Abiola won in Enugu and Anambra states with slim 50.8% and 57.6% respectively. When you sat down by your computer to write the above, what is exactly is your point of achievement? In 1979 election despite having Olu Akinfosile as his deputy, Zik got less than 0.5 percent of the vote across Yorubaland and you're having a fit that Abiola actually won some states in Igboland and a sized in the states he came second despite NRC having one of the greatest Igbo son and former governor of Biafra central bank (Ozo Igbo-Ndu Colins obi) as their vice presidencial candidate? In 1979/83 a Yoruba dominated UPN party has members in both Imo and Anambra houses of Assembly while the 5 Yoruba states had 100% UPN members except those NPN rigged themselves to victory. Please tell me any election ever in Nigeria, where Yoruba has ever supported a non Yoruba candidate? You are quick to mention the role of Arthur Nzeribe on Abiola's foiled presidency but you conveniently forgot that the Chairman of that ABN is one Abimbola Davis, you forgot the role played by OBJ (Abiola is not the Messiah speech), Sijuade-Oni of Ife (Annulment is an act of God speech) Adedibu and Arisokola Alao (Abacha grassroot organisers) Shonekan, Diya, Abdulkareem Adisa, Tunji Olorin and many others. Olu Onagoruwa was Abacha's chief law officer that wrote all the decrees, take a good look at your house first before blabbing about another man's house. There is no forest without a green snake, only that some of you makes us to believe otherwise. I never try to get involve into this ethnic fight but never you think that we all have short memories, because we don't. |
Ilaje Omuro: The Igbos don't want to acknowledge that they need Nigeria more than any other ethnic group. Saddled with a God foresaken landscape that they find unbearable to dwell, one would expect them to show some level of respect to their host communities wherever they live. But this pomposity and over sabi attitude will always pitch them against other groups. Some one was asking you why there is this hate between Igbos and Yorubas and you are busy rambling meaningless stuff that has no bearing to the question asked? |
alexleo: [b]Yoruba totally ungrateful people —Ahmadu Ali[Three times. He did it as aThe victor will always tell the tales as he wishes. We thought they said that Effiong surrendered, now he tellS us he was bundled to Lagos before Gowon and forced to sign whatever they wanted him to sign. ![]() |
Peter Odemwingie has launched a fresh Twitter attack on West Brom after being consigned to the substitutes' bench since his failed bid to leave The Hawthorns in January. Odemwingie delivered a series of Twitter rants against the club after having a transfer request rejected at the start of the year, and he has once again vented his frustration after being omitted from the Baggies' starting line-up for the last four games. He tweeted today: "Keeping me on the bench now is worst than what they did on the 31st. New advisers told me to take say its all my fault cos its better or me. "If they like they shouldn't even give me 10 mins to play. Threatening to ruin my career? Career I closed already last summer? No harm to me. "Want to treat me like an average player. The abuse and praise I get is it average ? So get some extra from me too." The 31-year-old striker had been a target of QPR throughout January and had repeatedly voiced his displeasure at not being allowed to leave. Odemwingie then memorably turned up at Loftus Road without permission on transfer deadline day only to be left in the cold as his planned move to QPR collapsed, an act described by Baggies head coach Steve Clarke as "total lunacy". The Nigeria international last month apologised for his actions during that period and also accepted the disciplinary action taken by West Brom for his conduct. The Baggies would have been hoping that was the end of the issue but, after only featuring as a second-half substitute in the club's recent fixtures, Odemwingie has once again hit out. He continued: "Former Albion sporting director in the presence of the new and Manager apologised to me in private. Publicly not good ? "Drive was lunacy ? Missing in the training section that day also lunacy ? They forgot to complain about that though cos they knew were I was. "Things have almost got back to normal till Peter spoilt it again. What's normal ? We see things differently obviously. "Has anyone seen me give interview to clubs website for a year now ? What about an interview in match day magazine ? I am on my own there. "Was ready to give half of the contract there and earn less to make it happen. Forcing a move really is when u want to leave 4 free." Odemwingie is under contract with West Brom until the summer of 2014. |
emperorchedda: Y'all shud stop dis s.hit...d joke is now overused and getting extremely boring...let's all grow up plzz!If something is boring, how come it attract your attention and even commented on it? One man's boredom could be another person's live-wire. If the joke is boring you, next time you sees it, please tell your mouse to click on something else. The joke must continue because it carries a lot of moral soul searching for Nigeria and their crook rulers. A man given so much opportunity that maybe doesn't deserve it came to a live feed TV programmes trying to be smart in a world full of smart people, instead of him to humbly say that I don't know the authentic website, he tried foolishly and crudely to wangle is way out of it like they normally do. Typical Nigerian attitude-lets give this man a break, by which they meant, lets brush it as always under the carpet and move on to the latest scandal and the wroth continues. |
omonnakoda: Nothing fraudulent about it. We should separate sentiment from law and objectivityThank you. The problem with Nigerians is that, their opinion is strictly based on the emotion and bias of who they support, not anything to do with legality/law, moral or even reality. Its what governs opinion of both supporters of original APC and their fake APC (PDP) cousins. |
kabba7: Please can anyone educate on why overtime there is a dirty job to be done in Nigeria there will always be available an Igbo person to do it .Okay now that you asked to be educated, let me help you a little bit without any pay. It was't an Igbo person they used to lure Kudirat Abiola to her death, is it? If I remember correctly IBB used Oni of Ife to manure the June 12 annulment-remember its an act of God speech? And Shonekan was used for burial of June 12. Both are not Igbos. Adedibu and Arisokola Alao was used by Abacha to locate the hiding places of NADECO apostles, they are also not Igbos. The likes of Olu Onagoruwa (Abacha's decree law writer), Jakande and Oladipo Diya were all used by Abacha to cement his foot hold on power at various stages of his madness. Neither of them is Igbo. Its was Richard Akinjide expertise in maths equation of 2/3 of 19 states that Shagari/NPN used to kill Awolowo presidencial ambition of 1979. Akinjide is not Igbo and it was Akinloye that provided the brain and Abiola the capital, neither of them were Ndigbo. Now you can use your tongue to count your teeth. Not everyone has short memory. In every family including mine there are always sorts of characters, let alone a whole nation or tribe. Now if you are pretending that yours is pure, while others aren't, maybe you need more education and I quite willing to help. Now, thank you will be nice. |
What a hail? Why the word "like"? Why not I have already changed? Why the punk does he like to tell us about it? He can change into whatever he likes-After all the ambition of most NigerianS are change to British, Spanish, even Albania etc all the time. Another tribal bashing setup I will assume. |
thelastPope: This is a fact and it isn't new. Go and check all the news and even threads on NL dating back as much as 3 to 4 years and you will see it clearly. Alameisegha was the biggest factor behind the Niger Delta amnesty. You guys always have a ready made explanation for everything, irrespective of how jaw breaking it might sound or look. So Alam can now be compared to our Ikemba and you nodded in affirmation? Nice to know! Without Alam skills the boys from the Creek will go crazy? but forgetting that the Creek insurgency started under his watch as governor of Bayelsa and that they are the remnant of the forces he used and dumped for his election rigging into power in the first place? If Alams is all this skillful in crises management and manufacturing of peace, then maybe Nigeria got the wrong person as president, they should have given it to him and by now he could have sorted the Boko Haram issue, of which the one there is clueless on how to go about it. |
hornipipe: I won't wear any of these, I hate wearing shirts with shitty write ups on them. Its not meant for you then, no brainer there. |
taharqa: LOL..d US Govt shld be d last govt to 'condemn' anoda country's use of d instrument of pardon to 'forgive' criminals; their record of such pardons, even for persons with worst crimes than Thief Alams, is less than ideal for such pontificatn. Besides, I doubt d US Embassy wud be dumb enuf to 'condemn' a host country's internal decision from a TWITTER account........all dese is without prejudice to d very condemnable act of d granting Pardon to Thief Alams though..So you are copying the U.S or trying to beat their record of pardoning criminals? Even if Jonathan is walking about with waste on his clothes, I am you call it the latest fashion trend. Jonathan has always been the biggest opponent of his own government through his unexplainable actions. Tell me why pardoning this guys is on top of his worries? Its crazy! Talk about shooting yourself on the foot all the time. Even if it's someone's idea, he doesn't need to be a genius to vote it instantly, because it can only be bad news and a stain to his own credibility. Anyway, what doe s it matter, when did Nigerians and their rulers ever care about credibility- a foreign word in their dictionary. |
bamosagie: Nah, not a one man action. You may be right and that may be the case, but as we stand, we only knew one man. If you knew another person other than Ikenga based purely on the Lawyers statement, then tell us. |
slimghost: How is it a one man action? So the Ezennia guy was supposed to have visited the lawyer with all his party members or what? Bros what's ur point pls? Tinubu nd co should face the truth and stop whipping up unnecessary childish sentiments. They are not ready yet, maybe in 2019, since they can't get simple registration of party right. Buncha retardsMy point is, unlike some of you I am saying things based on what I read, not what I felt must have happened. The guy has gave us a name, the person, not persons or group that hired him for his professional services. Unless you have further inside information other than what he said and you read, then you can tell me. We can only wait for the whole thing to unravel. For example- will the PDP officially distanced themselves from Mr Ikenga? Will Mr Ikenga go ahead with registration? Will he make a statement now as the official subscriber of the new party with possible others behind it? Does he still claim to be a member of PDP, while trying to register a new party and calling PDP names in his paper agenda? Will the young lawyer still be his legal representative? If that is the case, who is the new legal representative or firm? Until then, any other opinion is based purely on speculation and hearsay and not fact and I prefer factual than speculation. |
Everything about what he did is unlawful. If you fill out a government document, a sensitive issue like INEC registration with false information. Meaning you INTENTIONALLY MISREPRESENT the facts on that document. Then it is fraud. Nothing more, nothing less. You can try to spin, but this is glaring fraud. For him to be paid in cash and with gadgets. I wouldn't be surprised if he knew about the whole plan. He wasn't expecting to be exposed this badly. He was promised protection. The thing he didn't count on was that the media today is more sophisticated that the 90's. So this game is hard to play now. Anyone can even record you on a phone. To get your picture all they need to do is go to facebook and type your name. Almost everything has become verifiable. No one can be truly protected. He is doing damage control for himself as he has no choice. Since the expose everyone of his supporters have vanished and his family wants no part of this. Don't try to downplay anything. He knows what he did, he is a lawyer and he understands very well the implications. When he was contacted initially by investigative journalists, he too vanished and denied knowledge. But when he saw his backers left him high and dry, he had to protect himself and salvage whatever was left.
What is false information in what he filled? Did you see or have read what he filled? Are you in some way privy to what he filled? Don't speculate based on how you feel, just react to what you and I read, unless you knew more than what you have just read like everybody else, which I believe you don't. What happened is not abnormal,it happens all the time in any area of life where registration of identity is involve, be it business name, internet domain name or logo etc. I have once filled in a business name/logo, and the form was returned to me twice because another name/logo exactly or close to my choice is already in existence. The difference here, is that it was deliberately done to embarrass the merger APC people, but its not illegal, even if its morally flawed. |
Onyegecha: Are you saying what you know to be true or just re-echoing a political propaganda that is sour to the ear? Please there is no real education going on in Imo State public schools right now. Nothing has really changed, except for the worse. I make bold to say that the quality of instruction in the public schools is at its lowest point now. Are you aware that virtually all the pupils and students in these schools are yet to be given any books for their class work. Teachers don't even have the courage to ask them to buy any book because the government says it is an abomination to do so, yet, they have failed to go beyond vain promises.I can only speak in the area I my wallet is directly affected. I shell out thousands of my own cash every new term paying school fees of my relatives in Imo from here in England but since a year now, I no longer pay those fees because they told me, they don't pay them anymore. I can honestly say that I now use those cash to solve their other pressing needs. This is my personal experience from afar, if its a propaganda, may it continue because I am saving some cash. |
zenith7: Nne, you're on point, leave all these praise-singers. They don't know what is going on in the state. They have been deceived by Rogue-chas.And what is going on in the state? ![]() |
