Mobsync: :/ really? You can't use an unconventional war with the Taliban or Somalian Jihadist to compare a possible war between a country against another country. Taliban or the Somalian terrorist don't have have a base, no command and control, don't even wear uniforms, you don't even know who you are fighting against etc |
Did Agbaso take the bribe or not? Set up or not, he should have had enough moral capital to resist the setup.
Don't mind the pinheads, you cannot be successfully setup with a bait you don't like or hated. That why worms and maggots are used by fisher men to catch fish, because their target love maggots and worms. If you hate taking bribe, how can you be setup with a bribe money? |
kitlady02: Rochas bought the gulber seat ticket frm d older Agbaso a lot of money with a condition of making his younger bro, d deputy and commissioner for works(which has never happened b4 in Imo). Why commissioner 4 works? because they know that is where the money is.And you were there when this agreement was signed as an eye witness? |
Nigerians and their warped sense of reasoning. Last week you were all crying into your drinks that Alams was forgiven of his sins by Jonathan and today you are also crying that some was impeached for taking bribe. What exactly do you want? What has this person taking bribe got to do with whether Rochas likes him or not? Was he impeached because Rochas doesn't like his face or because he was caught with bribe taking? Some are comparing criminality by asking if those that impeached doesn't take bribe too?-So you are happy for a bribe taker to carry on until a clean Jesus comes down to impeach him in your behalf? Instead of focusing on the person that took bribe and was punished by being booted out of public office, you are whining that he may not be the only one, Rochas is behind it, the assembly people are also corrupt? What a people! |
Urgent Please! To whom this may concern! Can someone find Dayokanu and ask him to call the police? That Edwin the godfather is molesting his underage sister. |
mike404: Ghen ghen, let the WAR beginExactly! let it commence, while I get my popcorn ready. ![]() This is a season of who betrayed who. |
thelastPope: Their fundamental mindset is that the FG is supposed to take care of them. That is why they hardly ask questions of their state and local governments. It is only in the south we talk about corruption. The not don't care about corruption. They actually believe you should just share government money and everyone is happy. You are wrong to believe that just the southerners cares about corruption. Maybe majority of southerner shouts louder about it because of their much access to media, cultural background and the religious impact. Apart from their tiny middle class, how many northerners from Kebbi for example knew about Nairaland and compare it to Imo or Ekiti? Because of what one Nigeria had done to our psyche, we often sees thing all in black and white. The most common stereotype is that northerners are lazy-what a load of rubbish! |
PointB: Eziachi will say virtually anything these days to promote core north, nay buhari, I wonder what motivates him. Surely it's not any altruism if you ask me.What motivates me is always trying to see thing objectively, based on reality. We all have our little prejudices or stereotype against others, just as they have against us, but the reality is that its not always the case. An ordinary northerner's first care of the day is how to feed his family, just like those in the south. Its the elite that defines all the sentiments. If thats what you meant by promoting the north or Buhari. Well, I am afraid, you couldn't be more wrong. I have always maintained that the problem most us southerners had with Buhari, especially since 2011 is simply that he is a northerner, a moslem, wrestling power with a southern/Christian Jonathan. Most things you guys says about Buhari is just motivated by this bias. If he was quietly farming his land in Daura, non of you will be bothered with him. Its the same wicked wrong portrayal Ojukwu had suffered from both the north and West all these years, purely based on prejudice and stereotype, defined by the political elite. Its not simply altruism, but stating the obvious with being bias. |
well I dont care if I do not benefit from it. I am also not saying GEJ should not be voted for in the 2015 election(s). All I am saying is that if what I have being hearing on politics all my life is true, it should be an easterner to rule next(for a fair Nigeria). As I have said before, I dont care if I benefit from it or not. I am not even in the silly country anyway, so the ''first 1000 top easterners'' can enjoy the money for all I care.
Unfortunately its not everything we heard all our lives, even from our parents happens to be the truth. I am sure you definitely cares, because if don't, why bother about something you don't care about? |
lain: i ve always suspected that killernubu to have a hand in funsho williams death.. Nigerians should be careful come 2015.. Its either we vote pdp or any other party not that criminal organisation Acn(except if buhari would be their presidential flag bearer) led by the devil himself tinubu...Which part of the interview covered your above sentiment or did I miss it? Why not react to what you just read, instead of your personal imagination running riot into a reality? |
This is reality in display. Yorubas in Nairaland always make us believe that two people disagreeing with each other amounts to total disunity. They make us believe that everybody is programmed to talk the same, think the same and act alike in their own kingdom. That Igbos are not united because Peter Obi had a political disagreement with maybe, Chekwas Okorie or Victor Ume. If this thread was- I cannot work with Rochas, APGA a party of rebels- Alex Ekwueme, you will be hearing all sorts of sermons now by experts on Igbo affairs. Disagreement is part of life and in a land where everyone behaves like programmed robots is unreal. If Tinubu did not rebel with others against Falea and other godfathers as they dance naked for OBJ, he would never had been a political force he is today. It was those naked dance that paved way for illiterate crooks like Akala or Fayose to have ever smelled such a high public offices. Falea should swallow his ego and face reality on the present. How can you tag someone a rebel when you equally left the same AD to form alternative DPA, just like the rebelled ACN? ![]() |
I am in support of what you said. since I was born I have not seen any easterner rule the country. The stupid Hausas can go and seat down with their illiteracy and violence. was it not a northerner that ruled Nigeria from 2007-2010 till he died as a result of health issues? was he killed? stupid hausas need to learn to be honest and smart in situations like this. by the way I am a Yoruba sister too.
Apart from the bragging right, an Easterner ruling Nigeria will make not a single jolt in your life, except you are among first 1000 top Easterners.Go and ask an Otueke person how his life has changed since Jonathan becomes the president or ask common northerners how much their lives improved in the 38 years their brothers calls the shots? It benefits for the very top people, their friends and families and a bragging rights for the rest. Thats the reality one Nigeria. |
Feed me more: Can the north really do without the South? If there's any region who really crave for one, it is north. So I think Lawal Kaita is just bluffing. This where some of us southerners are always wrong because of some of our little stereotype of the north. Its the northern elite, just like their southern marriage mates that crave for one Nigeria. Their masses don't care about one Nigeria. |
Feed me more: Can the north really do without the South? If there's any region who really crave for one Nigeria, it is north. So I think Lawal Kaita is just bluffing. This where some of you are wrong. |
ROSSIKE: So no more Super Eagles? We will ask Ethiopia what they did with the one they won with Eritrea. |
qualified: Good! Let us divide. Does that aboki thing Nigeria was developed with groundnut and sugar cane money? Help me remind him, it was oil money and they have none!In reality, majority of their population may be better off with groundnut and sugar cane money than oil money. Groundnut and sugar cane employs a great majority of people, especially the unlettered. Oil only employ and benefit a handful. No matter how much oil and money you got, you must look for the man of groundnut and sugar cane for your food as no one drinks cruse oil for his breakfast, lunch and dinner. If Nigeria separate today and the north happen to get honest men Like Buhari, Abubakar Umar etc as their leaders, some of you may be surprised how better-off they can become based on any agro based economy. One day we will appreciate even the simple onion that goes into our jelloff rice of which we don't ever think about now. Its their elite, who had been drunk on crude oil that faints anytime dissolution of Nigeria is mentioned. If not for no other reason, its the fact that they don't want to be isolated with their masses alone, where there no longer will be, southerners to be used as a pawn in their tribal/religious selfish games. They are terrified of their masses. Right now, one Nigeria offers them a buffer in that regard. |
Clerverly: After all these Jega's initial gra-gra. Maybe he has sensed where the pendulum is swinging toSo what makes men like Tom Ikimi a progressive? Is there anybody in the Nigerian politics who would br called a real progressive? |
Tolexander: oh boy, stop the goof!Where did you see 3 good years?
I am glad you find your pleasure just in little mathematics equation, instead of the meat of the bone. Maybe you should try and find out what the word approximate means? Lets me make it three (3) good months, lets see whether it changes the significant of the original argument? |
Delafruita: of course he contributed a lot.he spent many years in prison...ooohh that was soyinka.he fought to keep nigeria one...ooohhh no..he actually served in the biafran governmentAchebe and Soyinka are great men of Africa, they are not in contest, in fact they are great friends with mutual respect for each others talent, its only inconsequential time wasters like you that spend their energy trying to create a non existing conflict. Listen to Kenyan, hear the British. We know the type of heroes you aspires of their praise, and that is the Iboris of this world. My ancestors says that a palm will never cover the moon, no matter how much it tries. Mazi Achebe is the grandfather of modern African literature, a colossal moon. And its in vain that your tiny palm will try to cover the light that this moon emits. |
Eko Ile: What are you crying all over the place about really? No one is crying and no one should cry either. It meaningless debating the action of one man (Zik) as the action of my forefathers. Yoruba as nation decide to fight a war against Biafra. It wasn't the action of one man. Even if that is the case that now Zik is our forefathers, then we have seen the reality want to our own part. What about you? You are still forwarding the course of your forefathers in 2013. I can't answer or be saddle by the action of Zik or my forefathers. I am in charge of my destiny now. I wish I can say the same for you, because your are all still Mr One Nigeria but hate the idea of those you wanted dead or alive as Nigerian living on your land. As thing look, you seems to be more comfortable and relaxed with the mistake of my forefathers than I am. |
Jobless Kids! You needed to see how those Yoruba ladies were all over my joystick during my service year in Ekiti. I lived with a high Chief who spoke Igbo very well, his daughter told me openly that "I'll marry you if you propose" Lmao! Omo na there fear come catch me. When my Ada's, Chidinma's and Chinenye's never finish? If I hear! Yoruba women adore igbo men like crazy! Its like the mere sight of an igbo man gives them the raw chiver of a real man. There was hardly any lady I met who I didn't ![]() When them see sure "omo ibo" to dun dada ![]() Abeg make una forget all these things jare, we are all one ![]() I Love Yoruba Women
Its not about your joystick. ![]() |
Eko Ile: Very crude and uninformed conclusion. It may be crude and uninformed, but if you know anything better, let me hear it. You guys want one Nigeria but complained that a Nigeria citizen is an eye sore on your land or trespassing in his own country. It doesn't make any sense. The solution is very simply-start the process of kicking Igbos out of your land by supporting Igbos like me that wan't nothing to do with one Nigeria. Then you can talk. |
dayokanu: We fought Ibos because they aggressed our land in ore and we fought to crush them and teach them a lesson that anytime they take their palmy they should know where to faceNothing to do with anyone on your land, because You didn't show the same concern when the Fulani took Kwara for keeps and a fulani Emir is still ruling Ilorin as we speak. Are you sure Igbos are still aggressing your land (I don't even know what that means)? Because if that is an excuse, don't you think its has long expired, judging by the way you guys jugs up anytime MASSOB, BZM or Biafra is mentioned? I don't think so. |
slimghost: And do you think that would be possible, bearing in mind the history between these two tribes?Every group of people has history. Germany and Britain fought two world wars that took millions of life, but today, they both share a mutual respect both in NATO and the EU. They don't have to love each other, just respect, irrespective of history. The same for Japan and China. If you expect Igbos and Yoruba to be ever in bed together-holding hands. No chance in hell!!! I have more chance going to the moon than for that to ever happen. And that the real truth and reality. |
everytime ibo elders hold conference on ibo future where di they meet at? they meet in yorubaland. when hausa chase your brothers from north where they run to? to yorubaland. ibo currently exist in name only. your political future is ruined, your homeland is ruined, your women are marrying other tribes and finding a new future for their children, your biafra is ruined, ......pretty soon the ibo tribe will be history, on paper only!
You see why I said that the dream of unity is a wail wind fantasy? If the above rant worry you so much, you should blame your fathers for supporting the the north when Biafra wanted to leave your paradise and be on their own. How wonderful it would have been now for you seeing Igbo begging you day and night for their visas into paradise? You can't kick a child and at the same time trying to stop the same child crying. Let it be a lesson that a man pinning another man down in the mud will always remain in the same mud with him. Its too late crying about Igbo man on your land now, because its what you wanted, what you fought for, what you shed blood for and your own blood shed too in the process. If Igbos are such an eye sore, you should not have fought for 3 good years trying to keep an eye sore. That is stupid. In life we only fight for something we viewed as valuable. Until time is called on the charade called Nigeria, I am afraid, you have to bear living with the cause of your consternations. Any Nigerian who finds it unbearable seeing Igbo man in his village square should petition his senator to table a bill for a referendum on the one Nigerian question. If not just shut up and get a life. |
If truth is to be told, there are no such unity anywhere on this planet. Ndi-Igbo and Yoruba only needed to have mutual respect for each other. The word unity is fantasy that doesn't exist in this corrupt world, even in our families. Respect? yes. |
Mazi Chinua Nwa-Achebe, just as Nasio Fontaine will sing- A prophet is never, will ever be honoured in his own land. You are an epitome of that truth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OlHgLiz0Os |
When a man on his journey out defecate in the middle of the road, on his return journey, flies will follow him home-Chinua Achebe Its not for nothing a dog follows a big belly man, because the dog knew if he does't defecate, he will vomit- Chinua Achebe When a young boys has got to a matured age and starts questioning who or what killed his father, whatever killed his father will easily kill him too-Chinua Achebe. A man can't be carrying a whole carcases of an elephant on his head but uses his toes searching for a cricket- Chinua Achebe |
EzeUche: I just do not understand how Wole Soyinka and Fela Kuti can be members of the same tribe of those who are disrespecting Chinua Achebe.Like I said before, there are people who still believe that out earth is flat. Trying to change their views is a waste of time. There are Yorubas programmed after the war to believe that every thing across the Niger is bad, but that doesn't mean that all Yorubas are like that. It just that internet has given some of them a hiding place to unleash. Unfortunately there are Igbos like that too. Just unfortunate. |
Eko Ile: Save your rubbish for your Olodo kind. You foolishly equated a singer with a and all of a sudden you are deceptively claiming some idiotic and moronic idiom...I am glad you finally got the gist. I am tired now after all that going round in a circle all night. |
EzeUche: My respect for Fela Kuti and Wole Soyinka is being put to the test because of some of these Yoruba bigots speaking ill of this great man.No one should force you to change your opinion on who you admired their God's given talent, just because of some internet tribal warriors. Soyinka is my icon any day and anytime, even if he comes from Timbuktu. And no one can do that. How foolish I should feel in I have to decent to that low live level? This same people dance naked in the market about one Nigeria, but hate one Nigeria in reality. Mention separation to them, to go all crazy and abuse anything that moves. Confused bunch, who don't really know what they want. They don't like other so called Nigerians and hate separation of Nigeria too. Pathetic! |
Eko Ile: Uncle, are you foolishly admitting that you goofed and you know not the difference between a singer and a writer? What's next? Sunny Ade get Nobel too.?In Igbo culture we use to say that if an idiom or analogy is explained to a boy, the dowry paid on his mother is all in vain. I was using a scenario where 2 face wins a grammy therefore someone concluded that hence he is better or bigger than icons like fela Kuti or Obey because they never won a grammy themselves. A simply analogy, you still don't get it? ![]() Can you imagine myself belittling the achievement of Soyinka, just because he happens to come from another ethnic national than me. That wil make me a foolish human worthy of existence. Which exactly the mindset of most of you, that anything that doesn't come from out your village is rubbish and should be pulled down. |
