The OP is quite correct in his observations. Most times the women would want to win a argument and force their opinions, thoughts, ideas and believes down your throat. Whereas they would like someone who is independent minded and liberal in outlook, the moment you start a relationship with them, they start attacking your views and everything that makes you liberal. You start hearing 'you love others more than me'............women, you never understand. |
iceberg54:That was brilliant and intelligent! . This particular set was quite tricking. Thanks man. At least you don open our head small. Cheers. |
lanre2009:I have taking time to analyse the puzzle and I still think I am in order. [1] Taking a look at the two samples, for the first one there is a relationship between the numbers flowing to the left hand side i.e 12, 6 in the box and 18 in the triangle i.e 12 + 6 = 18. Similarly for the second sample 9 + 6 = 15. [2] The three numbers at the top increases from left to right incrementally by 3 So to solve question 20: 8 + Y = 17, Y = 9 Question 21 Y + 10 = 10 , Y = 0 for Question 22: 13, 16, ? . So applying rule [2] above the next number is 16+3 = 19 also applying rule [1] 13 + 30 = 43 Question 23 7, ? , 13. The missing number is 7+3 = 10 note applying rule [1] 7 + 6 = 13 Question 24: 14 + 8 = 22 |
Hmmm I have read plenty comments and advises. Firstly, it's a good thing you have shared it. At least you feel a bit light having done so. Next with the torrents of advises flowing in, you need Godly wisdom to navigate through. In doing so, you should have at the back of your mind that while the sin of adultery and fornication are grievous before God Almighty, yet He is merciful and can forgive ALL sins no matter how bad and dark. Whatever you have committed have consequences. Some may already be manifesting - like your wife having miscarriages even though doctors have told you your wife is okay. In the things of God, science and laws of nature are suspended. You must seek genuine repentance in prayers and fasting - 3 or 7 days. If your pastor is a true man of God, seek his counsel and let him lead you by the leading of the Holy Spirit, the steps to take. If you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you guys, He that knows the end from the beginning will see you through and you will have peace at the end of the day. If you use human wisdom, brother I can assure you that you may not live to tell the story thereafter. I wish you the very best in Jesus name, Amen!!! |
lanre2009:Sample 1 : = 4² + 6² = 16 + 36 = 52 Sample 2 : 7² + 5² = 49 + 25 = 74 To solve question 29: 9² + Y² = 106, Y² = 106 – 9² = 106 -81 = 25 Therefore Y = 5 Hope you are okay now madam. But meanwhile you go employ maths or lesson teacher for ya pikin or better still ask Google next time ![]() |
lanre2009:Taking a look at the two samples, for the first one there is a relationship between 12, 6 in the box and 18 in the triangle i.e 12 + 6 = 18. Similarly for the second sample 9 + 6 = 15. So to solve question 20: 8 + Y = 17, Y = 9 Question 21: Y + 10 = 10 , Y = 0 |
lanre2009:To solve sample 1: (5 x 15) – (5 x 5) = 75 – 25 = 50 To solve sample 2 (60 x 6) – (10 x 6) = 360 – 60 = 300 To solve question 5 therefore = (9 x 7) – (4 x 5) = 63 – 20 = 43 |
lanre2009:To solve sample 1: 8² + 6² = 64 + 36 = 100. Also 8 – 6 = 2 Sample 2 : 3² + 1² = 9 + 1 = 10. Also 3 – 1 = 2 To solve question 27: 8² + Y² = 128. So Y² = 128 - 8² = 128 – 64 = 64 Y = 8. Note also that 8 – 8 = 0 Question 28: 7² + 4² = 49 + 16 = 65. |
lanre2009:To solve the sample 1 : (1² + 2²) , (3² + 3²) = (5, 18) To solve sample 2 : (2 x ½) , (3 x 2) = (1, 6) To solve question 1 using the above logic: (3 x 5) , (4 x 2) = (15, ![]() Question 2 : (Y² + 6²) , (3² + 8²) = (61, 73) Therefore Y² + 6² = 61 so Y² = 61 - 6² = 61 – 36 = 25 Y = 5 Question 3: (7² + Y²) , (5² + 6²) = (74, 61) 7² + Y² = 74 Therefore Y² = 74 - 7² = 74 – 49 = 25. So Y = 5 Question 4: (½ x 4) , (3 x 5) = (2, 15) |
lanre2009:The product of the numbers on the 'cliff' = sum of the numbers on the "valley" Ex 1 : 4 x 3 = 6 + 6 ex 2 : 5 x 4 = 10 + 10 ex 3 : 9 x 2 = 12 + 6 so for the question, 3 x Y = 7 + 11 OR 3Y = 18 Therefore Y = 6 |
lanre2009:Multiply the numbers on one arrow. Do same for the other arrow and subtract the lower from the higher example 1: (6 x 3) - (7 x 2) = 4 ex 2 : (8 x 3) - (7 x 4) = 5 ex 3: (4 x 5) - (5 x3) = 5 so for question (5 x Y) - (3 x 4) = 13 (5 x Y) = 13 + 12 = 25 5Y = 25 therefore Y = 5 |
lanre2009:Using simple logic, the upper figure increases by a multiple of 3 while the lower bar decreases by subtracting 2 or your question 37, subtracting 2 from 7 gives 5 |
lanre2009:Add all the numbers to your left hand side and divide the sum by the number in the triangle. so for the example 1 : 8+4+12 = 24 divided by 3 = 8 example 2 : 6+5+9 = 20 divided by 4 = 5 Ex 3 : 15+10+24 = 49 divided by 7 = 7 so for the question 33 : 4+12+2 = 18 divided by 6 = 3 |
Very interesting learning some bit of history. Thanks |
internationalman:My brother, saying that is the best age bracket, doesn't follow oh. Some other person will tell you the gap should be within 5 years. Personally, if the gap is close, it's better. The couples relate very well and 'grow up' together. It's fun. Most couples with wide age gap I have seen, relate more like father (daddy) and 'son'. By the time the lady is 40 (married at 21 to a 40 yr old man), the man is 60 looking like real papa, the lady will not be proud to show him around, especially if bread (money) no dey. Meanwhile her mates whose husbands are 45 are looking dapper, sharp and even younger; having the best of fun. My take oh. |
My dear pray and commit to God first, then let Him lead you. However from your post, it seems you've already made up your mind. It seem also that the man is very comfortable and your senses (or instincts) tells you he can solve your problems; that may be why you love him. I don't think you spent time to think deeply from all angles. The man is just like a means to an end. But remember that all that glitter is not gold. That is why I made that first comment. Cheers. |
nextstep:The insult for this thread na wa. The sniper is basically being used by those guys for preservation. The trader is preserving those beans with a diluted sniper. Note that the active ingredient in that Sniper is a compound called dichlorvos Two years ago, the European Union (EU) banned Nigerian beans because of the high level of dichlorvos pesticide residue at 0.3, which was beyond the 0.1 acceptable limit in the beans. The issue here is we don’t know if the level of concentration is within the 0.1 limit. Other chemicals like Chlorpyrifos, Cyhalothrin, Dimathoate, Trichlorphon, Omethoate and so on were also discovered in high, unacceptable levels in dried beans for export. These pesticides were either applied in the farm during cultivation or at storage to preserve the beans from weevils. To tackle this problem, the Purdue Improved Crop Storage (PICS) system was developed by Larry L. Murdock, professor of Entomology at Purdue University, USA and scientists in Cameroon in a research funded by a USAID and the university’s International Programs in Agriculture. The PICS consists of two high-density polyethylene plastic bags, and an outer sack of nylon that protects them. It can store grains safely for eight to 12 months without the produce being damaged by insects. To make the technology available to farmers in Nigeria, a company based in Kano State has been given the license to produce the bags for farmers and merchants for grains and beans storage. The system reduces the amount of damage the weevils inflict upon stored beans and other grains. |
An attention seeker, trying to scam gullible Nigerians as usual. If you check her timeline, you will definitely understand what I am talking about. It's a pity quite a number of people have still fell for it. |
Alzirida:I just love your sincere remarks. Spot on Seems you must be nice. |
Good morning everyone. The thread was meant to be enlightening but unfortunately, it's been mostly bashing from all angles. No joy at all Sometimes you will not blame them. They are simply reacting based on what they see, perceive or have been told. The Nigerian engineer averagely may not be seen to be doing exploits as on would expect. Nevertheless, there quite a number of them that are doing the nation and their respective establishments proud. I would narrow my scope to the oil & gas. Most times we are not proud of our own. The govt does not even help matters. No conducive environment to develop, harness and build on our creativity. The so called Nigerian Society of Engineers do not even have a strong push. I feel pained to see graduate engineers earning N30k and even below! I met a friend in the field some years ago (say 2007) who told me he was being paid N15,000! I could not believe my ears. These are things the NSE and COREN could look into, just like the NMA (for the medical doctors) do fight for their members. However I always feel happy when I see our Nigerian engineers engaged in intellectual discussions on projects, busting up design proposals from foreign companies; telling them look you guys made some mistakes here and there etc. This is because some of our people are wired up on this default setting that Nigerian engineers are lazy, cannot think etc. While a percentage are truly like that, there are still some very good ones either trained by their employers or resorted to self development. The little I know in my field of specialty at the moment is largely from hands-on-site exposure in the company I did my youth service with and other companies I have worked. We do have a problem with our educational system in Nigeria. The curriculum/style of teaching is not tailored to our need and not abreast with current technologies. Students do not have get places for the industrial training all through their 5 years in school. Yes with your first class in mechanical engineering, as a fresher from school, you still do not know jack about why I should use a low speed high volume pump here and use a high pressure, low volume pump there. You only get to know, when you are luckyly engaged in a good company that afford you the opportunity to learn. For those aspiring, please after your first degree, go for certifications in ares of your choice, learn AutoCad, learn how to us MS word, Excel, Project (very important), learn how to write reports. This is one critical area most of our graduates are lacking; when it comes to writing. Above all read wide and believe God that you can make it in your chosen field. Thank you. Pls don't mind if you see some typo errors oh. |
Liliyann:My sister you need Jesus! |
How is this a sinkhole. This is simply a failed construction work. |

This is pretty serious. I was even trying to call my dad to ask the situation at home. I guess they are not experiencing anything for now. However i read about flooding somewhere in Tsekelewu community in Delta State. Seriously, the govt at all levels are not doing well in this respect. We thank God we don't experience the kind of tornadoes and hurricanes that ravishes other parts of the world. Simply to dredge the rivers Niger and Benue channel that has been silted since God knows when is a problem to successive govts. So we have a situation where once it rains to a certain level because the channels are not dredged to the delta, the flood water just pours onto the surrounding coastal plan areas. If not, even with the heavy down pour, the level of flood disaster will be minimal. |
zinaunreal: Dey there dey jonse! Well since you took it as not true, so be it. Overall, the thread was very insightful and I thank the Op. It has opened the eyes of those still in school, it has made many realise that some people they envy is not necessary; the need to think beyond salary and for those earning pretty well to always thank God. |
Shezkid:Peaklane Schools for the one I said a staff earns above 260k oh. It is located around Akute |
Babayoutoomuch:Madam, you can go online to learn on just anything for far less. A facilitator revealed this in a seminar I attended some weeks back. Majority of the course are for less than N4,000.00 each. Here is the website. https://www.udemy.com |
zinaunreal:And what is the rumor? Whether you believe it or not, I know what I am talking about. Besides FYI, there are some top notch secondary schools in Nigeria that pay teachers upward of N300k. If you don't know, you don't know. |
Ndkings1:I beg to disagree. Some private schools pay moderately to very well. For instance I was surprise when i learn't that a staff in my children school earns above N260K. Other category of staff including teachers are well paid and they are fed at least once a day. This even better than most oil services companies in Lagos and PH. |
giftygirl1:You be better wife jare. |
EmmGee:You are correct. However the op asked a very dumb question. 1. He alone knows his home; the number of children; the type of housing; the quality of the living condition etc. 2. So he can sit down with the wife to write out what makes up the running expenses and sum up. 3. Next is look at the inflow; in this case his earnings for the month. 4. Running expenses (including feeding and energy costs) for the home shouldn't take more than 30% of his income 5. If it is more than 30%, he has to discuss with the wife to see areas to cut down. 6. he must remember he has to save for the rent, school fees and other projects. |
kenlinzo:I can't agree with you more brother. It becomes better when the man discloses how much he earns. This is so that she understand with her man whenever he gives her something as upkeep (for herself) after all other running expenses for the home. |
. This particular set was quite tricking. Thanks man. At least you don open our head small. Cheers.
