Na wa. How many popular people this month? The death rate is just too high.

If you consider the number of those who died in accidents too and other undocumented deaths, it's just too much.

What's going on?
May the soul of the departed rest in peace. He sounded way older on radio. He'll surely be missed.

People dont have money for proper healthcare and feeding hence the increased deaths. I BLAME BUHARI! huh cool grin cheesy

Fantastic goal by Oliseh. When Nigerian football was a force to reckon with and the big teams would shiver if they had to play Nigeria. Those were the glory days.

The man below is the best player Nigeria has ever produced. Just check him out.

Many christians because of ignorance thought and believed that those verses are violent commanding Muslims to kill the unbelievers.
Well that is not the case because all these verses are always quoted out of context by non Muslims just to paint Islam bad.

If you can at least read the preceding and the subsequent verses, then you will understand the truth and everything will fall into place. The verses were not commanding Muslims to kill the non believers but rather commanding them to defend themselves against the pagans of Makkah at that time who were constantly attacking the Muslims to the extent of killing some of them.

The Prophet (SAW) migrated from Makkah to Madina to practice his religion peacefully, but those pagans wouldn't leave him alone and they intensified their attacks this time in Madina. This was the time Allah SWT said enough was enough and commanded the Muslims to defend themselves from those pagans who only attacked first.

Muslims were never commanded to kill innocent non believers or those who there was treaty between them and the Muslims.
And that still stands up to today.
Some of you wonder why the arabs dont regard you as true muslims or see you as less than human? Flawed as the argument below may seem, it however asks pertinent questions which cannot be overlooked.

African Woman Destroys Black/Liberal Praise Of Muhammad Ali With 1 Question

Mona Walter is an ex-Muslim Somali activist who wants to know why black lives don’t matter to black liberals who are praising the death of a man who converted to the religion that’s enslaved hundreds of millions of her people.

After the recent death of famous champion heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali, liberals, blacks, and even conservatives have flooded social media with praise for the sports legend. However, one African woman is wondering if blacks who are mourning his loss have lost their minds — and it’s all because of one thing most are too star-struck to realize.

Mona Walter is an ex-Muslim Somali activist who is determined to expose what her former religion has done for 1,400 years and is planning to do to Western countries. After immigrating to Sweden when she was 19, she was given the opportunity to read the Quran for the first time. It was discovering the violent passages and racially charged scriptures against blacks and Jews that prompted Mona to convert to Christianity and dedicate her life to exposing Islam. However, she not only sees this dangerous ideology infiltrating through mass Muslim migration but also being glamorized through celebrity gossip.

Because of Mona’s extensive knowledge of slavery in the Quran and hadith, including the Islamic Prophet Muhammad’s trade of black slaves, she wants to know why Muhammad, who claimed he was escaping “slavery” of the white Christianity, converted to a religion whose holy man enslaved blacks.

“Something is wrong when [a] black man converted to Islam in modern time,” she says. “Something is wrong with that because Islam is the religion of slavery. You know, his name is Muhammad Ali. Muhammad is a master, a slave master. So how is that this Muhammad Ali is fleeing a slave master and he went to another slave master?“

She goes on to explain that white people beat themselves up all the time for slavery in the West, while Muslims, who own over 14 million blacks to this day, have no apology for their bigotry and inhumanity. She points out the hypocrisy of blacks demanding reparations from whites since it was the white Christians who fought and died to abolish slavery in America.

“Do you know, the time Muhammad Ali converted to Islam, the black people were in chains like this in Saudi Arabia. In the 60s, Saudi Arabia had enslaved all the Middle East. The Muslim Arabs, they had slaves, black slaves like me, from Africa! They had black slaves in the 60s! And this man converted to Islam. Something is wrong with that. That is you are a traitor. You betrayed your African race.”

Mona expresses her disbelief that many don’t know that it was the Arabs who were raping and kidnapping millions of Africans long before they began selling them to the U.S. In fact, it was the Arabs and African Muslims who initiated the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, with many enslaving their own people because of their newfound religion.

After receiving her first introduction to Islamic text in early adulthood, Mona still can’t believe how any black person could willingly convert to Islam. According to the hadith, the Islamic Prophet Muhammad would trade 2 blacks for 1 Arab slave, reducing their worth by even more than they were already considered. Aside from this, he often pointed to his black slave, Nabtal, to describe how Satan looks.

Ishaq:243 “I heard the Apostle say: ‘Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal!’ He was a black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks…. Allah sent down concerning him: ‘To those who annoy the Prophet there is a painful doom.” [9:61] “Gabriel came to Muhammad and said, ‘If a black man comes to you his heart is more gross than a donkey’s.’”

Further building his Caliphate on racism and slavery, Muhammad ordered a black slave to build the pulpit from which he preached Allah’s commands. However, the most offensive scripture comes from Muhammad himself, who said that when Allah created black people, he meant for them all to go to hell.

Mona explains that when she read all of this, she knew she must warn her people of this deceptive ideology.

“I didn’t know what I was a part of. I didn’t know who Muhammad was. I didn’t know who Allah was. So, when I found out, I was upset. I was sad and I was disappointed,” she recalled. “It’s about hating and killing those who disagree with Islam. It’s about conquering. Muhammad, he was immoral. He was a bloodthirsty man. He was terrible man, and Muslims can read that in his biography — what he did to Jews, how he raped women, how he killed people. I mean, he killed everyone who didn’t agree with him.”

Unfortunately, millions of blacks will never listen to Mona or the racist scriptures within the Quran and hadith, as blacks continue to convert to Islam and ignorant Westerners praise those who do. In fact, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the U.S. and the world.

For centuries, Islam has relied on brutality and slavery of blacks to force them to convert, but now, they rely on their ignorance of the world’s most racist, violent religious prophet to keep them coming back.

bless u. this problem might not be religion, but illiteracy. imagine the few ones that can read and right still posting rubbish on the net. imagine someone that passed through the tutelage of an half baked islamic scholar, what do u expect from such person. besides, the woman only said ablution should not be done in front of her shop. i
I hate when people blame stuff like this on illiteracy. There are illiterate christians, pagans, polytheists and atheists in other parts of the country and even in the north. My question is why are they not violent? Because their beliefs or lack thereof still embodies some semblace of HUMANITY in them. That clearly is lacking in Islam. This has little to nothing to do with education. Islam encourages violence. If Yoruba had majority of muslims in its demographics, say 90% like in the north, the same issues will play out. This is not a case of one group being more educated than the other. Engage a Yoruba muslim in a religious discourse where you point out issues with Mohamed's teachings and see how easily they get worked up and ready to fight (if their numbers permits them).

A whole lot of these folks are educated but would still tacitly approve of violence against people of different faiths while publicly pretend to condemn such acts.

Truth is that there is inherent violence and consequently evil in islam.

It baffles me how nobody is saying anything against the alleged blasphemy when we all know is wrong. Imagine somebody abusing your father or mother in your presence much less the noble prophet who every Muslim loves more than himself and his parents and the whole world. You don't hear Muslims abusing the christ for instance. But believe me there is a lot of hatred towards anything Islam or Muslim. This is just because with all the bad portrayal of Islam the religion keeps growing and winning converts, is just the will of God
How has a trade dispute become blasphemy? She asked her accuser to perform his ablution in front of his own shop, how is that blasphemy? Islam is a cursed and violent religion. Some folks just apply civility to it to give it an attractive outlook, but it truly promotes violence. Go read your sunnah and the hadiths and figure.

PoliticsRe: Proof Buhari's/APC Fuel Subsidy Is A Scam Planned Months Ago To Decieve Us by Fawklicant: 7:32pm On May 12, 2016
lawyer:
Buhari/APC are very smart. I now understand the format.

Make Fuel scarce for 8months.

Make Nigerians very Frustrated.

Make them buy it at exorbitant prices from 150-250 Naira per litre.

Make it very difficult to even get the fuel even at that price.

Make them beg for black market fuel at N300 per Litre.

Continue to blame Gej and Pdp for the fuel Scarcity.

Make FX scarce. Make people queue for hours and ignore their cries and pains.

Tap into a typical Nigerian's excessive calmness, patience and dislike to queue and suffer.

Promise them Fuel Scarcity would end May 7th.

Re-Introduce the Fuel Scarcity on May 9th.

Make people start begging Buhari/APC to ‪#‎endfuelqueues‬.

Send Buhari to the U.K on May 10th to disgrace us and tell the whole world "Yes Nigeria is Fantastically Corrupt" to deflect attention on what is going back home.

Increase Fuel price from N97 to N145 on May 11th without considering the masses or providing any palliative to cushion the effects of the massive inflation that would result from it to further impoverish Nigerians.

Lie to Nigerians that NLC and all the Governors and Senators are in support. ( Meanwhile its not true)

Change the narrative that ‪#‎OccupyNigeria‬ 1 wasn't about reversal of Fuel subsidy under GEJ but because they didn't trust GEJ to do it well because he was corrupt.

Promote a lot of Social media activists and APC fans living outside Nigeria to tell the world why the new fuel subsidy removal is the best thing to happen to Nigeria since Fried Rice and Chicken because they trust Buhari.

Forget to remind Nigerians that since we do not have 24 hours light, we rely on Generators to run businesses and homes.

For example i spend 20 liters daily on my car to shuttle between Mainland and Lekki. I suffer at least 2 hours of Traffic inside heat so the A/C must be on. If i buy Fuel now for N145 per litre, that means i spend N87,000 a month on Fuel in my car. (Where i wan see am?)

When i get home i must buy at least 10 litres every day for the home Generator. That's N43,500 in a month Making a total of N130,500 a month on Fuel. Let me not add the 20liters per day i buy to run my office generator o!

I have not added cost of food, Fashola's (aka Minister of Darkness) new high increment in Nepa bills, taxes, food, inflation on every damn thing and miscellaneous expenses.

Why then would Nigerians not be Fantastically Corrupt to survive when Buhari's Government only understands Increment, taxes, tolls, pain and suffering and the minimum wage is N18,000 per month while they rejected just 2 weeks ago to increase workers wages. APC lied that if Buhari wins the election, Fuel would be N40 per litre. Little did we know they meant N145 per litre. Every single thing Buhari met in May 2015 has increased 100% just under one year.

We could live with his bland and vapid economic policies but why compound it with an 80% increase from N86 to N145? This is beyond heartless and cruel. Nobody deserves this kind of wickedness. Even convicted Murders don't deserve this kind of suffering talk less of hard working Nigerians.

Since May 29 2015 almost everyone i know has complained that Business has been bad and their wallets are getting slimmer. No economic improvement or sign of better things to come. Rather its one propaganda or the other about how Minister A chop money or Governor F Stole $100 billion meanwhile the hard working Nigerians who have nothing to do with it are getting hungrier everyday and starving because there is no economic blue print but out of the blues ..BOOM!!! N145 per liter. Pay it or jump into the Lagoon.

To you guys abroad supporting the wicked policies of Buhari on twitter or Facebook, don't think you are exempt from it. The families/relatives you left behind in Nigeria are going to suffer it too and you would be getting daily calls from Nigeria for you to send Western Union because "Hunger they catch them". The money you intended to use to do something good or feed your family would finally end up in a petrol station in Lagos till you finally get fed up.

NLC over to you. We would join you whenever your ready to shut Nigeria down with #OccupyNigeria 2 to make Buhari reboot his brain and reverse his archaic and medieval 1984 economic policies.

- Omonile Lawyer
I have always said it that the end game wpuld be to hike fuel costs even as recently as march.

Very unfortunate.

While I will support anyone to criticize and urge the govt to act very swiftly against the terrorists called Fulani herdsmen, this reality is the more reason to support the govt in its bid to establish controlled ranches across Nigeria.

Chest-beating and bragging (just like the guy below) that these terrorists will be dealt with should they come to carry out their act of terrorism of maiming and killing innocent citizens will not solve any problem but instead worsen it. They are terrorists and you bragging to face them are not. So, who wins?

The herdsmen, from time immemorial, have been known to be violent and act irrationally. The only difference now is the advent of social media and better news coverage. While growing up, I could recollect some of their atrocities I witnessed.
You seem to be justifying their actions based on the reputation they have garnered as violent criminals. It is like saying that because armed robbers are known to be ruthless, people should just prepare thier loot and keep for them to collect at will and the police should let them roam free. Sometimes, the best way to quell violence os through violence. A raging forest fire can be countered by starting another fire in a counter direction. Nobody has a monopoly of violence or irrationality. The damage would be done once and then regeneration follows with each party having mutual respect for one's choices.
Nigerians cannot continue to live in fear because the marauders are irrational. Ranches are a no no! Its a no deal. That is like giving them free reins over a people. What makes you think the normadic herders will be contained within a ranch and not seek pasture elsewhere?. If establishing grazing ranches is the government's idea of solving the conundrum, why not establish them in the north, their homeland?.

There is a sinister motive behind this plot and it is either you are too naive to see it or you are one of those paid to propagate such a ridiculous idea online. The beauty of social media is it gives a voice to those who would have been hitherto voiceless.

What will happen to all the Naira they amass that cannot be converted into usable currency? This is not a case of foreigners milking dry, this is the Bretton--woods agreement in effect. Proud African man. All I need is a proudly African woman ready to stand by her man. Unfortunately for Nigerian women, the grab all you can mentality is only increasing by the day. The average Nigerian woman has a way of making a man feel inadequate as she is always on the lookout for a 'richer' dude, the ready--made mentality. With a lot of other African/foreign women, you feel like a king that you are just the way you are. Why would I want to be with someone whose major attraction to me is my status/.bank account?. Men need encouragement just like women need attention, how many Nigerian women encourage their men in perilious times and not nag the hell outta them?

She pretends she loves you regardless right? Tell her you are not predisposed to proclivities like an elaborate wedding ceremony or birthdays and guage how she starts looking for the next exit.

A lot of Nigerian women are no longer supportive. They are selfish and see their man as competition of some sort. I do not mean to bash women, no! Far from it, but just stating the obvious. Men got thier issues too. Plenty! But more often than not, a woman would make or mar her man. A true African woman knows that the power to make a marriage work rests mostly on the woman. This doesnt absolve the man of any culpability, but a wise woman will more likely work out her marital challenges than a regular one. Most truly successful African men have their wives/.mothers as their pillar.

Nigerian men a lot of times voice out these imbalances and are termed women bashers. Yes, some take it to the extreme and need to be berated but you hardly see a Nigerian man with a true African woman partner complain about these things. The men too are evolving in horrid ways. The root cause of this malaise is what @Fawklicant cannot explain at the moment.

it's obvious your father didn't waste money on your education. I've lived in The Netherlands for more than 5 years and I can tell you that the way they do things here is light years ahead of Nigeria even in the next 200 years. They're 12 provinces here in The Netherlands and each province has autonomy. I reside in Overijssel and the laws that applies here doesn't apply to the others. There's this competition amongst each province and that's the reason they're very developed. There was a point in their history that a particular region was seeking self determination and the Dutch government intervened by tackling the root cause of their agitation and as we speak that agitation has died a natural death. That's what the Nigerian government should be doing but rather they're shooting at innocent protesters. There's no respect for human lives in nigeria. Every group has a right to self determination as long as it is done legitimately. You can never kill the spirit of biafra in the blood of the igbos. As far as I'm concerned, biafra is their birthright and biafra is a religion and not just an agitation. The North has contributed little or nothing to this country but have collected a lot. What crimes have the igbos really committed? Is it a crime to demand freedom from a union that's not in line with them?
The pogrom and sidelining of ethnic nationalities in Nigeria since independence is INTENTIONAL. It is designed to subdue a nation they see as a threat, but they are only making them stronger. The Igbos know how to turn adversity their advantage and the Nigerian state keeps breeding ethnic animosity. Consequently the Igbos(in loose terms referring to ss/SE) will always thrive regardless. Just like the late Chinua Achebe said, Nigeria can never grow UNTIL it fully integrates the Igbos in the scheme of things. This has been the bane of Nigeria's underdevelopment both of human capital and otherwise. They fail to see that BIAFRA is a consciousness imbued in the Igbo man's mind and mental processes and not just a mere agitation.
The Biafran spirit is the Igbo spirit, so Biafra comes first before Nigeria. It is no different with the Yorubas or Hausas. The yorubas see themselves as Oduduwa kins first, afterall Awolowo was the first to even form a socio--political movement(Egbe omo oduduwa) along tribal lines which later transformed to Action Group(AG).

Majority of Nigeria's myriads of problems arise from the tenacity of the north to hold on to power and governance. So even when a S/.westerner is in power, the notherners still hold brief in every other sphere of governance. That is the status quo they dont want altered.

Seriously, this biafran issue is gaining more popularity by the day. Every group has a right to self determination as long as it's carried out in a peaceful manner. It won't be a bad idea if a referendum is carried out to put an end to this whole Biafran heated argument once and for all.
Exactly my point. Regardless of the outcome of the referendum, the Nigerian state needs to restructure its government and unwritten policies. There needs to be equity and fairness. Unfortunately, this present government is dividing Nigeria along ethnic and religious lines more than any previous government since the 4th republic and it will only get worse until the crack turns to a gulf.

Some of you kids need to pick up some history books and learn. Stop relying on verbal accounts of some of your fathers, they were mostly drunk during the war period to remember any significant event.

For your information, the nigerian soldiers were not even skilled or brave enough to even defend Nigeria, they had to hire chadian, Nigerien, malian and western mercenaries to prosecute the war for them. Go and research.

That guy is not american, he's just a fat lightskinned guy talking about a subject he knows nothing about.

Why hasnt prime minster bibi Netanyahu said anything concerning biafran? He is also a jew just like the ipob
I guess he knows biafran is not actually a just movement

That phatass wouldn't know what persecution looked like if it fvck'd him in the face
The isrealites under pharos that was persecusion
The jews under hitler, that was persecution

The igbos own majority of the business world in nigeria and yet they cry of persecution.

I pray God never sends real persecution your way. Because even after been rescued those tear will never stop flowing
That the Igbos own majority of the business world in Nigeria after starting with only 20 pounds shows you how creative and resourceful they can get. The fear of the Niherian state is that if these set of people are given equal opportunities in government as their nothern and southern comrades, the Igbos would excel like they did pre--civil war. That is a genuine fear. Igbos excel in everything they set out to do whether good or bad, legal or illegal. No half measures.

It still doesnt change the fact that they are constantly persecuted nor does it erode their right to self determination since the Nigerian state comtinues to treat them with disdain.

Some of these imbalances would aptly be corrected if only the nothern hegemony would implement the resolutions of the last soveriegn national conference. But you and I know that it is as good as dead because the resolutions therein would see the north make a lot of concessions on priviledges they enjoy alone and the south west is only too happy to remain a lapdog and scramble for crumbs.

In my opinion, let Biafra seek a referendum. At least that would put paid to this issue once and for all.
FamilyRe: Our Present Society Keep Marginalising The Male Gender. by Fawklicant: 6:00am On Apr 19, 2016
The context within which @drabee has his understanding is totally flawed. Using Linda/.whizkid's feud as an analogy is irresponsible to say the least. Threat to life of any gender is frowned upon by the law regatdless of gender. Linda is a juornalist of some sort and if she publishes falsehood about whizkid, then he has every right to institute charges against her and not make public threats to her life. If the stories are true, then he can get mad all he wants, Linda has a duty to do her job and do it well.

That being said, the gender equality thing is being taken out of context world over to literally mean male subservience to the female gender all in a bid to foster some sort of balance and protect women in precarious situations. The same victim mentality displayed by most women at the home front has been taken to the world stage mostly due to the male gender's own overzealous and callous interpretations and undertsanding of nature's provision for women in the order of things.

Biblically, God didnt create a slave for Adam, instead he created a helper for him. Many cultures refused to see it that way. Now the tables are turning in favour of the women folk and then we get to see that we are all the same after all, just a matter of who holds power.
