honeyfave: Hi feelamomg,Many Thanks! Meanwhile lets start getting ready for the secondary bonds market that is about to be started on the NSE. At the moment only banks have been enjoying the excellent yields of up to 16% that some of these FGN bonds provide. |
So after more that 7 years in power: this is the best foot the governor and his cohots can put forward! TUFIA!!! |
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/01/16/nigeria-bills-idUSL6N0AL74620130116 Nigeria plans to sell 164.88 billion naira ($1.05 billion) worth of treasury bills with maturities ranging from three months to one year on Jan 24, at its twice-monthly auction, the central bank said on Wednesday. The bank said it will auction 34.88 billion naira in 91-day bills, 50 billion naira in 182-day notes and 80 billion naira in 364-day paper, using Dutch auction system. Nigeria, Africa's top energy producer, issues treasury bills regularly as part of monetary control measures to help lenders manage their liquidity and control the money supply. exago: take my interest upfront - what do you mean by this, can you be paid interest before your TB maturesYES in Tbills You can opt to take your interest upfront! There is no withholding tax (WHT) in Tbills unlike in Fixed deposits where you also have to pay 10% of your interest as WHT back to the government! The only charge for TBills transaction is 0.125% of the amount. For N1M this amounts to N1,250= only |
laceonline02: tanks house....i ll give it a trialyea go on and give it a trial. Notwitstanding the drop in yield, it still remains the best money market investment to me. I invest , take my interest upfront, and still get a rate far better than any Fixed deposit; yet witout any withholding tax! |
Oga Mods, abeg move this to the front page naa!! |
yemminz: it's 1M nothing less, i called them to confirm.ok try meristem securities at Ikoyi |
yemminz: @jamace and feelamong does that mean there is no option for we with less 1M to partake in this investment? what a quiet threadjust go to Kakawa Discount! Am sure they accept less than N1M there! |
passe: I seem to be having little delay based on my time target of shipment. This is as a result of running multiple projects with huge capital outlay at the same time.I need to sort out some pressing issues in Nigeria and Canada before I can ship my consignment. To put record straight,I have all my cars and bales of cloth ready for shipment but I need to sort out some issues that will probably take me some few weeks before I can commence shipment.I'm highly sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused anyone.Regardsok bro! so how long delays do we expect now? 0ne month? once its shipped just keep us in the know! |

Pacemaker: I totally agree with you but I can't quit my job for a hobby.haha..u actually do not need to quit! just do it during ur vacation or take a leave of absence for a couple of months! |
Pacemaker: Interesting thread. I did send brand new children clothes to Nigeria last summer and had a very ugly experience using families as middle men and also inconsistent buyers. Please be very careful sending clothes to Nigeria for when it gets there you won't be able to bring it back to your base if things dont go as promised. The excuse was that my clothes were too thick and for that they wont pay much for the goods. I had to cut my loss. Good luck every one and I applaud the honesty here. I would like to send bails of used first grade children clothes from States but the price I am seeing here for a bail wont cut my shipping.Lesson 1: Never use family and friend for business..Business should remain business even if you want to involve families or friends. Lesson 2: You need to go back for more tutelage and apprentiship on how these boiz that do import the bales of clothes do make massive profits on them. I suggest you take time off your office job and go stay with them at the factories or charity homes where they actually get the bales. then folllow up till the good are discharged in naija. Best of luck next time! |
Chai! so the ushers were even brought in from China?? Naija!! |
i blame Gej for this! |

Tochex101: Hello TP,hope I aint going off key but I wat to ask u what u know about IGI insurance company.I purchased a huge volume of the companys shares on private placement about six years ago.I feel swindled cos they have refused to come out publicly on the NSE since then.Pls is there any serious factor holding them back or is it just plain politics.....I'm sure many Nigerians would want want to know tooBros just forget all abt that IGI private placement you bought.. Na one chance dem carry u enter so! That baba has refused to list his shares as promised on the Stock exchange so as to avoid the scrutiny that publicy quoted shares do go thru. Just laminate the certicate keep. Maybe in 10yrs time it may be useful ![]() |

The zeal I am putting into this is because I surely know that if the meeting holds everyone will immensely benefit from the exchange and revelation of some businesses and money spinning ideas that will be discussed.Nice one bro!
