pappilo: I also Searched the CBN website but couldn't find a diary or schedule of planned auctions.

Seun/Feelamong

How much do the banks charge for helping a customer buy T Bills?
banks and discount houses charge 0.125%.. so for N1m you pay a charge of N1,250=

PoliticsRe: FG Awards 13 Roads Contracts Worth N47.8b And N3.6b Satellite Map by feelamong(m): 10:18am On Mar 28, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Very good developments, especially with the inclusion of contract sums. That is ACCOUNTABILITY and TRANSPARENCY that is the norm with this govt. There's nothing to hide.

With this, NGO's that are interested in anti-corruption can at anytime determine if any contract is inflated or not.

Also impressive is the fact that the govt is keeping its promise of giving certain category of road contract to Nigerian contractors so as to encourage them to grow. I hope such Nigerian contractors will reciprocate the good gesture by performing excellently.

Now that contracts have been awarded, cost of projects known and contractors moved to site in some places, can the media perform their constitutional role by following up with this projects? I guess no. The Nigerian media is too busy reporting GEJ, Buhari, APC,Tinubu, PDP and other political issues, with NO TIME to report DEVELOPMENT. For them to report development, you have to PAY. In Nigeria, you have to PAY to have the media broadcast good news. As for bad news, it sells like hot cake and nobody pays for it.

Since the return of the railways for instance, no Nigerian media house has deemed it fit to give it tangible coverage, besides Premium Times (the recent live blogging of Lagos-kano train ride), NTA and newspaper reports. While foreign media organisations like BBC and I think Ecomiums had written about the comeback of Nigerian railway.

In conclusion, I wish the ACN state governors and indeed other governors nationwide will begin to tabulate projects like the above, with contract sums following every project. It enhances ACCOUNTABILITY and TRANSPARENCY. There's no law prohibiting governors from fighting corruption.
shaaarrap there!! how many times have we heard contracts given for lagos Ibadan expressway??

let them complete the job first then we will clap for them!!

At times it seems like you are preaching when you tell people to take time and study the market and coys they are investing in...Manie has said it all!

For anyone to make money in any endeavour, it takes time and energy! you also have to be patience!

I have made money and also losses in the market but in all I have made more money than losses! Just a few of months ago.. I bought Diamond bank at N1.99, sterling at 0.99k and UBA at N2.

I intend to hold these stocks for the next five years at least before i start selling for a start up...

The less people that understand the market.. the better for us!! no wonder its so diff to make the kind of money we make in the NSE in the LSE!

After seeing what Berger Paints did as per the 0.70k dividend its payings its shareholders, I have looked around the market and all i can see is NASCON PLC!!

Current EPS of 1.07 and a P.E ratio of 8.50. Last year they gave a dividend of N0.70k and who knows, they can even suppass this in the current year.

Please who knows why I should not start to accumulate this stock Today?

I grew up with the determination to make it in life (via hardwork.)I believe in working for my money. I am a source of motivation to a lot of my male friends. I started investing in shares right from youth service- I recall I saved 100k after youth service and bought gtbank and fbn then.

Abeg make 2pm nack make we know wetin market carry 2day.
After i go send my daughter to you make you mentor her wella for me!

Really impressed! I inherited a lot of shares but only started buying in 2008! i have decided that my kids will have to learn early enough how to make money for them selves..Financial education and marketing are too key subjects everyone should know no matter your course of study..

Born 2be Rich: I had an unusual dream 2days ago...

The dream was about a stock that have never even crossed my mind ( i dont think it has crossed most people's mind)...

The stock is FTN cocoa...

I saw this stock yeilding very high profit in one of their results and generating above 200% price appreciation...

I asked myself what fundamentals does this stock have presently to move it up but found none...

To be honest, this year i had some dreams and they came to reality...

This may sound foolish because as an investor you have to make proper analysis and get the required information/data of the stock you want to purchase.

I am not a prophet niether am i saying that you should buy FTN cocoa ...

However, this is what came to me and i just decided to share it with everyone...
Bros, I beg u! Try give me a shot of that thing wey you smoke last nite!

E don tey wey I been dream last!
InvestmentRe: Transfer Of Shares From Stockbroker To Stockbroker by feelamong(m): 4:00pm On Mar 18, 2013
You can actually transfer your shares from one stock broker to another easily these days with the CSCS online Portal!

Just send your letter of authority seeking the transfer to your target stockbroker then they will just go online and send the request to your former brokers aftewhich it will be approved by CSCS.

Basically it takes about 2 weeks or even less these days!
