Kongi is certainly going senile grin grin
There is a difference between immoral public relationship and private lives . The law decides what is immoral , and the law is largely derived from "religious" observations. I am yet to find a single religion that embraces homosexuality. In case anyone wants to get started on the relevance of religion ; it is that "room" where we enter to get out of the unregulated insanity outside in the rest of the world. On the other hand , yes Prof you can have sex in whatever position and with whatever object you like in your bedroom. The law , and the rest of us just don't want to know.

I wonder how much suffering Nigerians will face before they gather courage and start seriously protesting.

Good. The social benefits are enormous. It will make a lot more children eager to go to school and progressively destroy the almajiri culture and the Boko Haram consequences in our backward northern states. Thumb up GEJ.

Much of the argument in this thread is wrong though. LIBYANS DID NOT DESTROY LIBYA . NATO DID - Using some criminals masquerading as freedom fighters and who are now showing their true colors. My heart bleeds for the majority of Libyans who were bombed into submission by imperialists.

Of course the West will not release the money to Libya for "security reasons" . It is in their banks now propping up their almost destroyed "democratic" Western economies
Politics › Re: Osun Indigenes Commend Aregbesola For Resurrecting Train Service by felifeli: 10:36am On Nov 12, 2011
This is so amusing.  I laugh in Ujesa   grin grin

I have been restraining myself to contribute to this thread. I wish the people of Osun State well, if truly they are satisfied with their governor. I am  in the diaspora but I certainly don't share this "commend" thing at all from the little I see whenever I visit and from what I hear from my people living in the state.
As for this thread, it astounds that the only quotes we ever find in support are from Osun Defenders - a paper wholly set up to prop up and to promote Aregbesola. (Do  note that Osun Defender was started as a campaign organ for Aregbesola when fighting to become governor after his "stolen election" and  was rabidly critical of the previous governor Oyinlola, so it is really not Osun Defender but rather Aregbesola Defender  grin)

In any case my bible says that the truth will from the mouth of two or more people be established , not from only one. Is there any other newspaper that corroborates these Osun Defender stories ? If so please always place  the links alongside.
Thank you

Gbawe:
Here we go again with sentimental, emotional and feudalistic writing. So mental illness is now your latest charge against Aregbesola? Does what you write make sense to even you? "Silence is golden" indeed. As Nigerians , we all have civic duties we should live up to even if you don't appreciate that concept. If you are even minimally politically sophisticated you will realise, especially because Nigeria is poorly led, that a lukewarm attitude to the actions of Political leaders is what got us where we are today !!!! Sorry if I am not prepared to be "silent" when I see blatant lies and crude propaganda flying around that could endanger the future of a Nigerian State. Besides, it speaks volume of your motivation when you have only constant condemnation for Aregbesola even when it is proven he is the victim of malicious lies.

We all say we want a better Country yet glaringly displayed in this thread , perhaps to a non-Nigerian reading NL, is ample evidence that extremely poor followership is also heavily to blame for Nigeria's problem. We have many endorsing lies and even adding their own lies. We then have others telling others to be "silent" regarding the malicious lies they can see that is fit only for the consumption of 6 year old children !!!! Very sad.

Gbawe:
You have gotten it the wrong way round. I should write that "I have never seen any State Governor maligned with so many outrightly ridiculous lies". At the end of the day, some of us just hate primitive deciet and mischief while it appears many are happy to swallow lies and even quote what commonsense indicates is pure fabrication.
So you imagine you are improving things for him with all this desperate online duels ? On the contrary, I thing you are assisting him to multiply the ridicule that he has become. Have you never heard that silence is golden ? Does the Uduaghan (or whatever his name is ) put people on Nairaland to fight for him ? Have you ever seen GEJ's agents exchanging blows with his many haters on Nairaland ? Or you want to say more bad things have been said about Aregbeshow than GEJ on Nairaland.
I think your man has mental problems. Poor Osun state citizens to be saddled with such an unfortunate situation .
Politics › Re: PDP Asks Aregbesola To Account For N100bn by felifeli: 9:40am On Nov 02, 2011
If even just only half of the energy that Aregbeshow has organised to defend him on Nairaland is used in improving situation on the ground, Osun state will be a paradise on earth.
I have never seen any state governor so rabidly defended anywhere in the world.
I am moved to conclude that either this fool has something to hide or he is clearly PARANOID . I think both. grin grin grin
Webmasters › Re: Eyowo: The Payment Gateway You've Been Waiting For! by felifeli: 8:09pm On Oct 31, 2011

@ chaircover - using reliable courier is still dependent on the kind of product or service you are paying for. I don't expect a recharge site to use DHL to send me airtime. While a typical cakes and cream would rather deliver to my house themselves as they have their own names to protect as well.

Refunds, delivery charges i believe are still reliant on the merchant. If i were Eyowo, would i want to refund someone for a recharge card he has loaded on his phone?

Most of this questions should be for merchants and not eyowo jare… this guys have done a very good job and we should applaud their effort.
Guy your VERY FIRST POST ON NAIRALAND is to praise Eyowo ! grin grin
You could have at least been more tactical by posting a few bits somewhere else so that it won't be so obvious who sent you here.
In any case courier company or not; merchant or not; if too many people complain about losing money through your eyowo it won't take long for your business to be closed down. what we want to know is the names of the directors of your company that will find themselves in court; though I pray not grin grin

Seriously guys; take that website offline and go do your homework properly , or tape "beta-testing; not yet doing business" on it. It could be good business in the future; just don't rush this.

I actually won't argue with you because I know your type are those who like to hide behind the monitor just to criticize how bad Nigeria is, and how backward it is, while cannot come up with any tangible contribution to society. Just get a life.
What is my "type" ? I am giving your business constructive advice before you stick your neck out too far and your head gets chopped off , and you are saying I am criticizing Nigeria !
Actually it is half baked ideas like this which do Nigeria so much injustice. Instead of trying to equal the standards of models that are working, you are advocating a "ko bad now, sebi this is Nigeria and not Oyinbo country" approach . Again , my advice is to go ask for standards that are required for a website that intends to carry out financial transactions. Look for the most stringent from any part of the world , and TRY TO EQUAL IT , instead of doing something that will leave the public open to fraud and bring the financial system in Nigeria to more disrepute.
Guy I don't hate you or your guy at Eyowo; but the implication of a major fraud in a system like this will set confidence in online purchasing back several years o much that people who eventually do something that is actually good may not find support anymore.
For example if I pay for purchase from a third party through your system and the other party does not deliver my goods, who you gonna call ? Ghostbusters ? I mean who gets my money back for me ?

And by the way anyone can purchase Verisign and it guarantees nothing. You can even get a FREE 30 day trial of Verisign but I am sure your website is not running on that FREE trial subscription smiley

Some people like you like dropping irrational comments. Name one payment gateway that has not had problem at start-up. Even paypal has been hit with so many fraud lawsuit by customers. We should be supportive of people who have taken time to come-up with something many Nigerians back home are being deprived of. Waiting for people like you to come with a solution will take ages. Always playing devil advocate.

There must be problem on the short run, and company will adjust based on it.
Hmmn ,  probably the same guy as OP , applauding his own speech . grin
My personal view : Count me out of this; the concept is good but the IMPLEMENTATION  sucks  big time.
Don't you have a street address ; and if you do why is it not VISIBLY displayed on the web site ?
No privacy policy statement either. Any other part of the world your financial website will be closed down in a flash and you'll be in the docks before you know what is happening.

I stick by my irrational comments , and if I were you I'd address the issues I raised else this is not going to fly very far.
Webmasters › Re: Eyowo: The Payment Gateway You've Been Waiting For! by felifeli: 11:03pm On Oct 30, 2011
Guy , the concept is exciting (for Nigeria at least) bit not quite convincing yet.

1. The registration fee I guess is necessary for a purpose though I don't get it since you still make money on EVERY transaction. It is like kind of asking me to pay money to acquire a debit card. It sucks.

2. I think there are gaping security holes in this thing of yours. Having used paypal for nearly ten years I know what I am talking about. Can't specifically put my finger on it yet but I have a feeling,

3, What recourses are available to users who get burnt in this ?

4. Who are Soft Imagio ? There is no street address . I wouldn't do a financial transaction with an email afdress

5. I am still looking at this

But so far, I say NO THANKS  smiley

grin grin grin grin grin how many African countries will unit against the west?
You obviously know very little about the people of Libya. I give this so-called revolution 3 years maximum to become a fiasco. If Al-Islam is not dead before then , I see him coming to prominence again in Libya ,mark my words.

Meanwhile let us see NATO countries try to make capital gains from this. They dead bodies will be carried away to their countries by the dozens every week.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Gadhaffi's Son Vows To Exact Revenge. by felifeli: 1:54pm On Oct 25, 2011
But this Saif al-Islam is very intriguing though. First he was reported captured in Tripoli and later escaped. Then he was reported captured in Sirte, .Again he escaped. He must have some ogbonge babalawo behind him.  grin grin grin

I wish him luck though. He could become the worst terror the West will ever confront in future - together with the poor people of Sirte and Bani Walid, bombed by an army of occupation into submission. There is no "liberation" yet in Libya ;only a gathering storm which  may have the entire African continent uniting against the West.
Whatever Gaddafi has done in the past seems of little consequence now considering the hopeless animals that he has been contending with in Libya. The clear fact is that HE WAS MURDERED in full television glare, and with assistance of UN and NATO.
Long Live Gaddafi . Even your death  showed us the real face of Imperialism ; Long Live Gaddafi  grin grin
