If you write GRE by Feb, Admission? Yes but funding? No. by the way, you seem desperate, I hope you dont waste your money at the end of the day. It is more than just crossing the ocean which requires proper planning and hardwork.

There is no point rushing, what is worth doing is worth doing well. If you are writting GRE next Jan/Feb, just plan towards fall 2019, dont waste your money. Most good schools would have closed their applications by then.

Really? Most schools will ask you first to pay for courier or opt for them to send it by regular mail. some schools also send for free with courier but its not strange, guess its because you have been out of the system for so long

Hello Great people of NL.. please i need help for my cousin. He as been granted admission and his on the stage of i20. He submitted his Dad's bank statement with reference letter from the bank but the school emailed him yesterday saying they need a CERTIFIED financial documentation from the bank sent directly to the school before they can issue his i20. We are all confuse about these because reference letter from the bank was also attached to the statement.  Please if you have an idea of what that document is all about please kindly help out or anybody.

Is the SOA you submited stamped? If no, you need a stamped one and if yes, you need to contact the admission office and ask them what they realy want.

go and register on ets website, www.ets.org. After creating account, go to schedule exam and you should see all the GRE centers in lagos. GRe is only taken in french connection Ajah, JKK house on anthony road and one other center in anthony village or so.

It is impossible..There is no way you can land in the US by December on F1 visa right now, your chance is zero. The earliest chance you have is August next year and you ought to have started the process by now, even August next year is eluding you right now as we speak if you don't get to work quick.If you can read the whole thread, read my posts and you should get some insight.

It’s october... you have no idea how to register for the SAT, you have no idea what school you will be applying to (or even the country)! or their requirements and whether the school is worth your effort with respect to your long term goals (if you have any). You don’t know the structure of the exam neither are you prepared for it. You have no idea how much schoool will cost you, neither have you planned for contingency. All you know is that you want to be in the states by December (2 months away).

Many people have advised you on what to do but it seems you have made up your mind, do you know how hard it is to study in the US without funding? You want to be thinking about how to pay your next rent and Tuition while also thinking about numerous homeworks, course to study and semester project? My brother/sister you don't want to experience that. Very few schools will accept IESLT, TOEFL is the most acceptable test of English in the US and its much more easier than ieslt. The earlier you follow the advice they have given you the better. You have a 4.49 gpa and you don't want to write GRE to boost your profile for funding? If you start GRE preparation today, you should be able to write it and get a decent score by Mid Dec. There are many good schools that have funding deadline as Jan 15, so you can still meet up with Fall admission cycle. I don't think you are ready. NO SCHOOL IN THE US WILL WAIVE GRE FOR YOU EXCEPT ITS ALL THOSE ONE BUILDING SCHOOLS, even international students who have had a masters degree in the US still need to submit GRE score for P.Hd application not to talk of someone that doesn't have a degree from the US. It irks me to see students with good cgpa that don't want to write GRE. You dont want to limit yourself because of lack of GRE which will make you apply to one nonsense school, there is life after school. In some schools all you have to do is your part and jobs will come while some you will have to work your ass out before you get that much desired job. The choice is yours to make.

Tuition waiver? Are you the dean? Most thesis masters dont get tuition waiver in UMD takeless of a one year masters program that adds nothing to the department

Its all depends on how u present yourself, your confidence and spoken English and way of expression matter a lot here. U must be untop of your game wen u meet your friend ( VO).

The first sentence is unnecessary and Please each applicant is different. You are not the first and you wont be the last. What works for you, might not work for someone else and vice versa

Then go and renew your passport and try to correct the name, you didnt know this initially? How can you be inconsistent with your own name? The only means of identification for GRE is international passport, so the earlier you work on getting your international passport right the better

please what's the best way to get 1-20 form..the school said I can pay for express mail n get it within three working days or wait for dem to send it through the normal mail with no tracking . and I guess that will take longer time. my academic session begins for spring 2018..am not financially buoyant now

Look for someone in the US you can tell them to send it to and the person can send it to you using USPS tracking, not more than $65.

No its not, most school admission deadline is Dec 15 and some few ones have deadline as Jan if you want to be considered for funding.

1) Your WES evaluation should be between 3.38-3.41/4.0 cant be 3.5 except there is a miracle or error somewhere

2) No school will explicitly tell you, you will be admitted or funded, most will tell you to put in your application first. The best person to send a mail to in your proposed school is the grad cord in your department, 98% of the time..He/she will reply you. you could ask some of the following questions as the case may be.. a) Please would there be opportunities for M.Sc/Ph.D students advising in this area of research, in Fall 2018?
b) Are the specific minimum requirements for MS.c admission listed on the departmental website followed strictly? Peradventure I am deficient in one aspect say, GRE score by 2 points but my other application material like GPA, SOP LOR are excellent, do I stand a chance of getting admitted?? (You should be asking this if your GRE fall a little below the listed minimum)
c) What are the opportunities for funding?
d) Do I need to contact a faculty before I can be admitted?
e) Is teaching assistantship awarded to incoming International students? (Some schools don't award TAs to new incoming students, so you can use your discretion to either apply or not based on the reply)

However if you can retake the GRE, give it a shot but if not, try to make your other profile materials close to excellent if not excellent. If you are not so particular about ranking, you can check Texas A&M kingsville, they seem to admit alot of Nigerians and with your score you will definitely get admitted. However, you cant really say there is a school where funding is sure except there is a firsthand info from current students, so start connecting students on linkedin and inquiring about funding scenario in their schools.
