mekaboy:If Peter Obi advised Jonathan on removal of petroleum subsidy, I wonder what was the job of Finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala? Peter Obi holds major stakes in Fidelity Bank, breweries, shopping malls and trading company which Ndibe his brother runs. Prof. Soludo can't take this entrepreneurial accomplishments from him just as he would never dream of accomplishing what Prof. Soludo achieved in research, conceptual propositions, many undergraduate and postgraduate students guided that are helping the economy, the Nigerian banks he strengthened through his recapitalization policy, his valued advice as a consultant to International Development organizations, etc |
mekaboy:There is nothing wonderful about Peter Obi's performance in Anambra. Yes, he tried in meeting millennium goals and of course improved on road infrastructure, which Chris Nigige started but that didn't leave Anambra State anything near a developed state. And you can't tell me that Peter Obi didn't touch Anambra State's money as well as rode on his official position to secure lucrative shareholding deals with MNCs. Look, no matter how you paint Gov. Obiano black, his name will be forever engraved on that airport, ICC Awka and other infrastructure that drives the image and economy of a state. And don't even touch Prof Charles Soludo the first class economist that became world acclaimed economist. Recall he thoughtfully gave African leaders reasons why they should halt Covid-19 lockdown immediately to save their economies and they adopted his idea without argument. His opinion is trusted that much. Peter Obi is a shrewd trader but Prof. Soludo Is an intellectual and a development expert. Don't play with him. He is a premium asset. |
This is not 'classroom lecture' but an invitation to Prof. Charles Soludo to SHARE his wide knowledge and deep experience. It is a good one from the APC governors. Note that each person in the audience also has knowledge and experience, which Prof. Soludo would be eager to learn from to expand his. That's how knowledge spread without display of any ego. Meanwhile, ndi Anambra are joyfully warming up for SOLUDO SOLUTION. |
I bet you, FFK will now sleep one eye closed when frolicking with his small small yellow pawpaw babes. |
Ok |
officialfoodie:It was my personal decision. It doesn't have to rhyme with yours. |
FLYFIRE:Point of correction. I didn't support the North against my own people. No, I supported APC and Buhari's candidacy against PDP, which was becoming an albatross on Nigeria. My agitation against the status quo and unnecessary shenanigans by the North is because it will NEVER lead to prosperous Nigeria. Restructuring will help. I am not a lover of secession for secession sake. Any attempt at secession without a roadmap and without carring the critical stakeholders along will end up being worse than status quo Nigeria. |
Coronabirus:You sounded too angered by my write-up but that doesn't change anything. I stand by my opinion. Now to the realities of today's Nigeria, which you are wishing away. Who would ever thought that SW will one day agitate for Oduduwa nation. Listen, most emerging nations are birthed in the consciousness first and it endures and then keep popping up until certain issues are addressed or something gives. As at today, SS particularly the Ijaws are wooed with immense determining power being bestowed upon them by tricky North but for how long, if the application of EQUITY is still relegated for political numbers. The reality of today's Nigeria is that federating units are no more going to be pawns of divide and rule by the North but active partners in Nigeria project. Restructuring will go a long way but certainly this status quo you see today will NOT stand the test of more years. Take it or leave it. |
Before 2015, in pursuit of their regional interests, Northern political leaders led by Fulani deployed diplomatic tact and political trickery in dealing with the leaders and people of Southern Nigeria. They projected Northern Nigeria as a BIG BROTHER out to protect and enforce the unity of Nigeria, which evoked political reverence and deference from Southern leaders. On assuming office in 2015, Buhari presidency jettisoned "tact and trickery" and exhibited uncompromising stance in pursuing Fulani interests as national interests. This hardliner attitude woke the political consciousness of the people of Southern Nigeria in an IRREVERSIBLE manner. So the reality of today's Nigeria is that thanks to Buhari Presidency, Northern Nigeria has lost its fear factor as well as the political reverence and deference, which it hitherto enjoyed among and from the Southern Nigerians. The earlier Northern elites realized that the drumbeat and dance steps have changed, the better for them and Nigeria. Therefore without enthronement of EQUITY, mischievous statements from Coalition of Northern Groups or Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Consensus Movement, etc carry little pressure or persuasion. Meanwhile, with due respect, elder Audu Ogbe is a clown for not even mentioning Fulani attacks on Benue citizens as part of the ACF meeting agenda. |
Emmanuelhector:Vote for Maduka. My vote is for Soludo Solution. |
FuckOsuPigs:Nice try. You are not doing badly as budding stand-up comedian. Keep it up. |
Assuming this conspiracy theory is true then the suspect Chidinma should go to hell if she could sense prospect of deathrow cell and still protect the identities of the supposed 'killers' in your conspiracy theory. And why didn't the supposed killers simply aid her disappearance from Nigeria instead her helplessly hiding in her parents' house. I disagree with this conspiracy theory as put forward. |
APGA's light can't go off in Anambra State. The light, which Ikemba lit will keep burning. Prof. Soludo is a worthy candidate. He is too experienced not transform Anambra State in 8 years. Time to go to the field and spread the good news! |
Nigeria is meant to be a 'regally-dressed elephant' but our leaders' lack of vision and conservative sense have made us a 'naked ant'. STOP SHARING CRUMBS. Restructure Nigeria to unleash the massive economic potentials in geopolitical zones and watch Nigeria prosper and become world economic power. |
Time to unleash soludo SOLUTION! C H U K W U M A S O L U D O Positive vision. Blazing intellect. Brilliant ideas. Creative resource management. Audacity for paradigm shift. Global exposure. Deep and wide value delivery experience. Long live Anambra State. |
This is all about envy, competition, logic and reality - Envy because there is no justification for Seun's unnecessary verbal attack on Wizkid other than why should it be Wizkid. - Competition because Seun felt that Wizkid's songs are not better than his lyrically, in message content and in terms of being originally African beats. So, Seun should win Grammy and not Wizkid. Well, truth be told, Seun's songs do have message in them but unfortunately not popular. - Logic because rationally, "Brown Skin Girl" is basically Beyonce's song and not one of Wizkid mediocre songs, which in Seun's assessment would never be qualified for Grammy. Interestingly, none of Wizkid's song has made it to Grammy before this Beyonce's collaboration. But truth be said, to be considered by Beyonce to be put on her song is big and starting off on the song shows the big respect and recognition Beyonce has for Wizkid. Fortunately Wizkid delivered big-time - Reality because no matter how much Wizkid weighs in Seun's mind, nothing can change the fact that Wizkid's name has officially entered Grammy's history book as a winner forever. Another reality is that this world no balance. That's it, folks. |
There must be some kind of 'curse of confusion' on Anambra and Lagos PDP. I can't remember the last time Anambra State PDP had a properly elected state Exco. From time to time, a new caretaker committee is imposed by court order, then other set of members would go to court and after some months, another court sacks the existing caretaker committee and enthrone another one. Then another set of members would go to court and the musical chair game goes on till today. Lagos is no different. |
Look, if Fulani people can live peacefully in a community and respect the ways of life of that community, then there won't be any problem. The same way Igbo traders live peacefully and respect the ways of their host communities anywhere on the surface of the earth, which is the key reason why they are accepted and thrive. Nobody hates Fulani herdsmen for the fun of it. After all, they have been operating peacefully and accepted down the South for years until they began deliberately destroying farms, killing innocent people who complain about their atrocities, kidnapping for ransom and of course raping helpless women. My only worry is handing over security of the various Iwo communities to Fulani as the Oba said. The young men of Iwo should be able to secure their communities. |
Congratulations to Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and to APGA. APGA bu nke anyi always! |
Yes, basically every deity is a piece wood carving, metal work or moulding into which a demon or demons were invoked and carefully programmed into and then enthroned in a place (shrine) to serve a purpose to a family, clan or community by mutual agreement in return for allegiance and worship. Thus, whenever a community that owns a deity decide to end the relationship with the deity by abrupt break-up by a superior power rather than by negotiation and mutually ending the relationship, there is need to allow that community to decide what to do: burn or hand over to a museum. But the people must be 100% SURE that the demon has been cast out because the demon could be tricky and lie low in order to unleash destruction and wickedness much later. Without the presence of spirit or demon, a deity is mere piece of artwork. |
ChoCho54:Corrections made. Thanks for pointing out. |
I pray Miyetti Allah would not just kill this man Ibrahim Salihilife for saying the truth. |
There must be some kind of curse of confusion on Anambra and Lagos PDP. I can't remember the last time Anambra State PDP had a properly elected state Exco. For Lagos PDP, they don't go to court but still they change state chairman like olosho would change clients. |
This spokesman for Livestock Breeders Association of Nigeria (LIBAN), Kaduna State chapter, Hussaini Salisu sounded ignorantly disjointed. The 'world of Nigeria' does not revolve around the Fulani. I don't know what the Fulani elites are thinking but if they still believe that the status quo will continue, then they are dreaming. That Hausa people were docile and accepted Fulani domination for whatever reasons doesn't mean Southern ethnic groups will be. Change your mentality and come to the table like an equal partner and not as a master, which you will NEVER be. Gbabe! |
byteem:As someone who is familiar with Northern Nigeria, I disagree with your submissions but you are entitled to your opinion. |

This is 2023. Without enthronement of equity in Nigeria, mischievous statements from Coalition of Northern Groups or Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Consensus Movement, etc put zero pressure or persuasion on people of South East. |
First, it is fallacy to say that money from then Northern Region was used to develop the other regions because like the Northern groundout pyramids, Western Region exported cocoa, Eastern Region exported oil palm. However, it is a fact that Northern Nigeria has great agricultural and mineral potentials that are underutilized while average young notherner is poor and most are idle. Why? Because unlike in the 1960's, current state governors do little investment in Agriculture but wait for oil revenue from FAAC in Abuja. The fact is that food production and processing employ more many more people that oil industry, spread wealth to many more people and earn as much as forex as crude oil. Even the South South has tremendous marine resources that is begging to be tapped. No geopolitical zone is left in mineral and agricultural resources. Here lies one strong reason for restructuring for more prosperous Nigeria. |
