You should look for that girl that you've been admiring for long that is still single, go out of your way to make her happy and you'll see that it will be easy for you. I'm past mid twenties and only son and the pressure is fierce but I'm taking my time.. With the right person I think your hustle will be blessed more even!

L0velyn:
Dear young guys at 22 to 28
Don't make silly mistakes, marry now with the little you have, don't wait to be a millionaire, have kids early so you can grow with them...grow with ur kids and succeed with ur wife, you will never finish making money or achieving your plans, you might still not succeed at your target year, so start your life early with consistency you will grow, I had this one friend at 22 he told me he was always on making billions before getting married so many years later billions didn't come yet no wife or Kids, he had an opportunity to marry the love of his life very early after he graduated, but his fear was "can he take care of her" she's married now with two grown up children. ...the guy she married was still schooling then, but had the courage they worked hard and succeeded together

So if you can feed your self , you can feed ur wife, you have to believe it marry early don't wait don't start regretting after.... You see ur childhood friends who are already married most of them are not doing well as you, but they are happier, trust me it isn't about money only, but Rather your happiness depends entirely on your wisdom with a well planned life they are happier...

So what your problem? You wanna build mansions? Roll Royce ? Marry Sharon stone type but still you don't have those things you dreamt of and of course the years wasted!!! And still can't have them....

Don't pray to be 60years old and your kids will still be in their 20's, what are you , Supposed to be at that age, their grand father??
Get married, don't be afraid that girl you are finding fault In has many good qualities if you look well, don't ever think you will get everything before you settle down, God can change your life in a blink with a good wife by yourside you will succeed!!!!
,,,, hmmmm, seems this post is been directed to me. I have really hustled and made some figures # and still making more, got capital securities too. but I am still afraid and felt it may not be enough to give me the kind of life I wished and cherished for. #32 by Nov & everyday is just war Btwn me and mother.even friends & relatives do recharge their phones atimes just to call and remind me of marriage. "Growing up experience still hunting me", life wasn't easy at all.

He told me that his girlfriend walked up to him and asked for a 2months break. He said they never had issues, nor quarreled at all. He was so in love with this girl that he was so upset with himself. He kept on asking for forgiveness even when he didn't do anything wrong to the girl.

my questions are..

what could really be the reason why she asked for a break?

what should my Friend do at this point ?

Phones / Re: My Experience With Infinix Note 3 by Fidecoo(m): 9:24am On Mar 22, 2017
Smallbaby:

Size matters in almost everything we do, you cut your coat according to your size right? What of your shoes? Should that of phone be different? I don’t think so.
Whenever I hear someone say a ‘big phone’ what comes to my mind is, screen size, battery and RAM/Storage. I was however impressed when I read about the Infinix Note 3 here and I was sold. The Infinix Note 3 have taught me the importance of using a big phone as it were. What makes the Infinix Note3 different or what makes any big phone different?
Firstly, the Infinix Note 3 solves one problem I have always faced with many smartphones—battery issue. The Infinix Note 3 comes packed with a 4500maH battery that gives me a 200 mins talk time with just 5mins charge. It is the ultimate dream of any smartphone user, to have a phone that stops you from carrying charger with you every time. Secondly the 6” screen is a dream come true for gamers like me, it makes both game playing and movie watching experience an unforgettable one.
Lastly, theInfinix Note 3 is everything to me, the 2/3GB RAM and the camera is something to be proud of. I have been enjoying the phone for almost two months now. I even heard that the prize have reduced, but am enjoying it and I have no single complain so far. So if you are a lady like me (or a guy) and you like it big, please go ahead and get the Infinix Note 3. That is my humble opinion about the Note 3.
,,, pls what's the current price for now? I need 1. Thanks
Car Talk / Re: Which Is The Best Cost Effective New Tyre? by Fidecoo(m): 8:46am On Mar 18, 2017
Flashaldrin:
Hi nairalanders!

I bought a fairly Nigerian used Toyota Camry 2006 model early last year, and they came with recently changed tires according to the owner, all of the tyres are model contiroveter evolution with manufacture date of 22/14. They all look OK.

However on my way to my PPA in Benue last month, two of the tires had issues, one ripped completely on my way, while the other irreparably wore down at the centre when I got there.

Now I'm planning on changing all tires. Please I will appreciate any advice on the best cost effective tires for replacement and their current relative prices.

Thanks.
, go for D.K. Had a complete 4 for 60k since 24 Dec last year, have travelled for like 3-4 times to the village still benue state and they still give me confidence.

Romance / Re: The Paradox Of Nigerian Men. The Most Hated And Loved On The Continent. by Fidecoo(m): 9:50pm On Mar 15, 2017
SSBN:

Kenyan women always favour foreign men. Be it the Dutch village priest, or the British ‘Johnnies’ will always have a head start compared to Kamande, the local County Rep. A foreigner stands a better chance any given Sunday. White men are primarily preferred as passports out of the country, and yeah many women profess undying desire to sire a child with a white man. ‘They are so ‘cuuute!’ They often pipe, swooning.

What beats me is how the Nigerian ‘Oga’ men have overtaken our revered Omondis in matters of love and romance. For a while, our lakeside brothers made the rest of Kenyan men look like beginners in front of women. And as long as romance was measured in terms of flowers, cards, and flattering language, men, more so my clansmen had absolutely no snowball’s chance in hell with fair-skinned, curvaceous women.
At some point I had a personal grudge when I twice lost beautiful ladies to Luo men!

Now Nigerian men are the most sought after in Nairobi. And they are everywhere. From the leafy suburbs to middle-class estates such as Lang’ata and South B, to the dusty Umoja. They have barber shops which I am persuaded are just facades for something powdery.

The best bad boys in town
They are currently the best bad boys in town. I don’t think they are any more handsome (and I am straight) than Kenyan men. While their borderline arrogance evokes suicidal and xenophobic thoughts in us, some women find it sexy.

They have fat egos, talk loudly, and have a sense of entitlement that is as repulsive as it is unmanly. Real men are calm, moderate, and rarely loud. But you can hear Nigerians arguing from the 18th floor of Hilton from Uhuru Park.

These execrable habits that all Kenyan men hate are the very things our sisters fancy. I will be forthright: It is the money. There are women who can stand all forms of abuses as long as the sex and the money are good. These breed’s mantra is ‘it is better to cry in a Range Rover than laugh on a boda boda.’ Utterly hair-brained.

We often hear of incidents of ‘Ogas’ kicking hookers from the third floor without paying them. They abuse their girlfriends, yet most choose to suffer in silence provided the rent for that SQ in South C is sorted. Most Nigerian men treat local women cheaply. Indeed, most can hawk their soul for an iPhone, some tasteful furniture, and a weekend of guaranteed rum and single-malt whiskeys that local men can ill-afford.

Men from West Africa are overbearing, and the laidback nature of most us has made them conceited they walk around as if we don’t even exist.

I am sick and tired of these ‘brodas.’ And now that our women entertain them, I’m sure they might scatter their wild oats and in future we will have children born of arrogant fathers and mothers who sold out their Third World souls to West Africans.

I am a Pan-Africanist and want the Nigerians to prosper here as I would like to prosper in Abuja. But they should behave with some decorum, cut the noise, and be respectful to their hosts. As for the ladies, don’t be too cheap, cheapskate. There is more to life than Dom Perignon and fancy Galaxies. As you grow older and your Nigerian man’s clandestine affairs are busted, you will need your soul back. Someone ought to rein on this exotic curiosity of Nairobian women.

,,not our fault bro!! Kenya men are too soft when around ladies. Saying from experience. I once worked with some back then in Dubai. They are like vegetables, around ladies.

Romance / Re: This Day In History- St. Valentine Beheaded by Fidecoo(m): 8:55pm On Feb 14, 2017
irririchris:
On February 14around the year 278A.D., Valentine, a holy priest in Rome in the days of Emperor Claudius II, was executed.
Under the rule of Claudius the Cruel, Rome was involved in many unpopular and bloody campaigns. The emperor had to maintain a strong army, but was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. Claudius believed that Roman men were unwilling to join the army because of their strong attachment to their wives and families.
To get rid of the problem, Claudius banned all marriages and engagements in Rome. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.
When Valentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. Valentine was arrested and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. The sentence was carried out on February 14, on or about the year 270.
Legend also has it that while in jail, St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer’s daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it “From Your Valentine.”
For his great service, Valentine was named a saint after his death.
In truth, the exact origins and identity of St. Valentine are unclear. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “At least three different Saint Valentines, all of them martyrs, are mentioned in the early martyrologies under the date of 14 February.” One was a priest in Rome, the second one was a bishop of Interamna (now Terni, Italy) and the third St. Valentine was a martyr in the Roman province of Africa.
Legends vary on how the martyr’s name became connected with romance. The date of his death may have become mingled with the Feast of Lupercalia, a pagan festival of love. On these occasions, the names of young women were placed in a box, from which they were drawn by the men as chance directed. In 496 AD, Pope Gelasius decided to put an end to the Feast of Lupercalia, and he declared that February 14 be celebrated as St Valentine’s Day.
Gradually, February 14 became a date for exchanging love messages, poems and simple gifts such as flowers.

Romance / Re: Ladies, What Do You Think Of Guys That Can't Cook? by Fidecoo(m): 7:55pm On Jan 21, 2017
Friendzone:
Is it endearing, because he's old-school? Pathetic? Or totally cool?

Here are the opinions of some ladies :

#1. It's cool, I'll cook Myself

"I'm the Julia Child, and it doesn't bug me at all! We each have our strengths and hobbies. Cooking just happens to be one of mine." — Sabrina, 27

"I'm an aspiring Julia Child, and Kyle really didn't know how to cook so I've been teaching him. He made us dinner the other night and he can make lasagna and bake cookies by himself. He needs help sometimes, but he's willing to learn and try, which is very important. If he didn't care and just ate pizza every day or expected me to cook every time, it'd be a deal-breaker. I also don't blame him for it because his parents never bothered to teach him." —Amanda, 26

#2. We don't cook anyways

"Totally 100 percent cool if he can't cook because I live in New York and eat out or order in, anyway. But if he wants to cook, that is nice! That would be a nice but completely unnecessary bonus." — Jennifer, 27

"My husband and I both do not know how to cook. We have come to accept this and have a great relationship with Seamless.(Fast food)" —Randi, 35

#3. If He doesn't cook, it's no big deal

"I've enjoyed many good meals prepared by my lovers, and I am a competent cook as well. But some of my very important relationships have been with men who don't cook or shouldn't cook. Everybody in my family is a good cook, so I'd rather he doesn't cook if he's bad at it." — Tracy, 37

"No biggie. I can cook, or we can order in or go out. And he can always pick up a thing or two as we go." —Sarah, 36

#4. It's all about learning and making an effort

"My husband lived on bachelor chow before we met: top ramen, hot dogs, cereal. When we started dating and I started cooking real food, he took an interest in learning and now I'd say he cooks about 20 percent of our dinners." — Colleen, 30

"He has to be able to cook at least SOMETHING or be willing to suck at it trying." —Jen, 36

#5. He has to be able to cook, No exceptions!

"If a guy is over the age of 29 and can't cook for himself, at least a few meals, it's just sad." —Kate, 31

"It was cute when we were dating. Not so cute anymore!" —Kelsey, 33

Ladies, what do you think?, let Us into your heads smiley, I work hard in life so as to enable me get some things I don't have!! (I hate cooking as a guy and I just can't cook. I can't even boil water for tea, talk much more of noddles).i rather get food from an eatry for decade(s),than cook even for once.

Hello house,
Permit me start by introducing myself. I am Efiok joseph, I hold Bachelors of Science Degree in Marine chemistry(2008), Masters of Science Degree in Chemistry(materials science and explosives-NDA:Distinction :4.4-2016). I may not be the best brain around but I am humble, teachable and versatile. I am putting up this thread because at this stage in my life, I am having a great pressure within and outside my sphere of influence. I have done everything I think is worthwhile to have a descent life. I Am almost feeling frustrated and depressed, this is due to the fact that at 30+ and still living in my parents house (insult me if you like), I feel I am just alone in this entire world. I can barely afford basic need of life. Before you crucify and blame everything on my laziness, let me give a bit of what I have been up to lately.

Rewind to 2008/2009- I had a job with a hotel..was paid seven thousand as start up, I took up the job not even considering my academic status, I believed in God, while I was there, I was able to save money and I enroled in many trainings and seminars. Some include basic safety course, customer service relationship, I also obtained a diploma in basic ict/computer appreciation, oil tanker farmilirization, LNG HSSEQ and other related oil and gas certificate courses. I saved enough money to buy a car and registered business name as a logistic enterprise, I was able to get an office space for that but some how high taxing and unfriendly business environment made me close down the office and returned to taxi (town drop) services. I had an accident and was forced to sale the car into instead of total loss, i could no longer afford my rent and moved in with my parents, i was devasted. As the saying goes that quitters never win and winners never quit, I picked up my pieces, swallowed my pride and enrolled in sure-p, luckily I made it through the selection process and I was placed as an intern with an entertainment company with 15k take home after all sortings.

I simultaneously ran this alongside my MSc program which I almost single handedly sponsored myself till late last year..well, I had a further knock when in lost my 4yrs+ relationship, my fiancee who was hitherto very supportive left without any sign, I went bipolar, I hated life and depression set in. I sometimes wonder if there anyone out there with my kind of experience....as I write this I am sited on the road side, I am confused, I am tired, I am teary...I sometimes think I have offended God so much that he has forgotten about me. I have updated my CV, I have applied for countless jobs, adjusting my CV accordingly. I have tried my hands on all sort of things, from marketing job, phone call business, laundry services trust me, have hustled. Many times I have contemplated suicide but I know its not the best option coz I would break the heart of my parents and all those who believed and invested in me and most importantly, God. I have listened to lost of motivational/inspirational CD to stir my faith, but trust me its as if its taking forever, I am losing it BIG TIME. I bought form for PhD this yr but on a second thought I considered I need a stable source of cash flow to to balance my life in whatever endeavour going forward and my parents are aging, so I dropped the idea.

I have read of stories here on Nairaland about people who carried placard and some how were lucky, while others give testimonies on how God visited them. i am using this opportunity to beg you all for your assistance for a JOB or a loan.....I have written my proposals for companies telling them about the ideas I have but some of them end up hijacking them. I seriously need an urgent help, even if as PA, voluntary, paid, partial paid...anything' I am ready to relocate if need be.
Thank you and God bless you.

I have a friend(a lady) a very cute and brainy one at that but she has an issue i guess she's unaware of which is some offensive odour emanating from her... The odour gets worse as a function of time... e. g in the morning it's not as offensive as leta in the day or atimes vice-versa...
We happen to be a little close, i did made a promise to take her out(for lunch) sometimes ago... But when i met her as planned, the odour i heard put me off... It was very thick.... She asked why i did that, i gave some flimsy excuse... Now my question is, Can i inform her about this?
If yes, what's the proper way of doing so without hurting her feelings/ego?
or do I just ignore?
,man up and jokingly ask her if she is on her code red time, that you seeing some noticeable sign.just joked that you nose magnets aromas easily. She will understand and get the message quickly. But do it with smiles and humour.
