drag_on: http://www.thoughtleader.co.za/williamsaundersonmeyer/2013/10/19/saaf-from-fighting-force-to-flying-farce/I even wonder how is the Nigerian military faring with only half the SANDF budget, if it is facing such challenges. You want to rule Africa with such a small budget, smaller than that of ordinary municipalities in SA. All Nigerian military equipments are either second hand or low cost made specially to suit their small budget. Your country can never run SANDF, it will run dry before it could even think of it. Our national budget is four times larger than West Africa combined together. Shame on you!! |
Augustine Again: oh ! if that is your wish, then all south african nmilitary weapons imported and quoted as delivered by SIPRI ORD database, are hereby cancelled too and labelled as non-existent, and that includes all the remaining Exocet missiles on your valour frigates apart from the 5 you test firef, there is none left. Why are you now behaving like a stupid, everybody knows that Nigeria has 4 old scrapyard Mi-24's in their inventory. Now show us where is says Mi-35's were delivered. As for Gripens and Hawks, the whole world knows that SA has such machines because they are being seen frequently flying such machines even on the net you can google. . Gunships are like mobile car, you place your order and buy them immidiately and will be delivered in a due course, unlike ships, aircraft carriers which will have to be build first. |
Augustine Again: hahaha fool of sowetoWe have already noted about those old 4 Mi-24 hinds. It doesn't matter, Nigeria has no such wish list on their inventory. Sipri mainly highlights orders made irrespective of whether they were successful or not. An order does not mean is a successful transaction. You are making a fool of yourself, you will wait and wait and wait. |

Augustine Again: you really a dumbo, nigeria has about 30 combat helicopters (M-24 Hind, Mi-35 Hind, Mi-171s Terminator Armed version, AW 109 LUH Armed version) and south africa has only 11 RooivalksNigeria does not have that wish list on its weapon inventory, chief. Only 4 old hinds gunships are currently rocking their sky. Whatever appears on sipri does not mean a country made an actual purchase, I hope you teach that to your misinformed beegeagle. |
Heavy procument of transporter aircraft and maritime surveillance aircraft through project saucepan is underway. http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-32829/ |
agaugust: source :The big brother is being helped while the young brother does everything for himself. |
chris365: Another dreamerLier!!! South Africa even today still proves to the world that it has weapon manufacturing potential. The former white apartheid scientists were very technical and skilled in the field of medicine, chemical warfare, nuclear engineering and weapon technology. That's why our universities today are one of the best in the field of nuclear engineering. Stop telling people lies, the only ally of SA during Apartheid was Israel. |
Denel chasing orders worth R35 billion. http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-32546/ Denel on the 21 Nov won a missile contract in UAE. http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-32761/ |
My father is way older than a country called Nigeria which is claiming to be brother of SA. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria |
Umkhonto R also called block 3 with an extended range of up to 80 000m has already been developed. Due to budget constraints denel looks for a partner for large production of this masterpiece. Just send your low-cost Chengdu F7-Ni in Soweto to have a taste of it and they will tell you thereafter when your pilots arrive home on body bags.
agaugust: even the 20km range umkhonto missile is NOT YET in service. still under testing, it takes time to complete missile tests to avoid failure in battlefield engagement. so please dont ever post the fake imaginary 80km variant on this forum again, you hear me ?What do you understand by phase1 and phase2 in any project. The project is ready to be used anytime South Africa engage into war. As we speak Umkhonto missiles can be fired from GBADS. Denel (SA government owned company) has plenty of these in stock. Remember, this is not Roland which can just be jammed by an ordinary fly and which cannot even fire at night when its radar has been tempered with. This is UMKHONTO IR
Umkhonto Surface-to-Air-Missiles can now be fired through land based launchers, the GBADS, meaning that they can now be used by the South African Army. Here are the variants of Umkhonto: 1. Umkhonto IR B1(Range 12 000m) B2(Range 15 000m) 2. Umkhonto ER (Range 20 000m) 3. Umkhonto R (Range 80 000m) http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-32171/ http://m.engineeringnews.co.za/article/denel-demonstrates-greater-surface-to-air-missile-range-and-local-air-defence-system-2013-10-09 http://www.defencetalk.com/denel-tests-extended-range-umkhonto-surface-to-air-missile-49350/ |
rka1: Even if true, so what? It just shows you can shoot from a distance, but no show close up.Shekau, the man reported to have been killed.
agaugust: i am beginning to see signs that nigerian military top brass have analysed every threat possible from all other african countries and have a combat solution to every possible threat.Agaugust busy ranting like an embecile "blah! Blah! Blah! Blah!" Without facts
drag_on: Which group would you honestly want to belong to,no lie o!! Nigeria or South Africa.South Africa.
agaugust: any dummy can post lies on wikipedia dude, reason why i use it with caution and compare other sources, then i use my common sense too.SANDF members are not supposed to commend anything that concerns UN activities. The UN has spokesperson to do that hence no South African has the authority to over step such boundries. The snyper shot is a reality chief, even the dead officer of the rebels will confirm that to you that he was wiped out of the face of the earth from a long distance that he could never imagine can have an impact. SANDF spokesperson are not fools like Nigerians spokesperson who would go and tell the whole world that Shekau is dead. Our spokesperson are first briefed by intelligence, and thereafter they are being adviced of whether it willl be worthwhile to overstep boundries and comment about activities that involve another organisation. In that case, they are more likely to play ignorant. |
agaugust: .... a smart palm wine tapper that hangs your south african air force officer uniform on a tree topYou can only hang the uniform of the people below. That's only how far you can go.
chris365: Do you even bother to go through facts before talking this kind of giberish? Do you think Cuba just appeared on Angolan soil without request from the Angolans? Which country runs into a conflict like a cowboy without invitation from the host? Pls just gimme one.Is this another analysis from a palm wine tapper or what? |
agaugust: i just showed you how useless mandela nation's shiny missiles areThis is an analysis from a palm wine tapper.
agaugust: nigerian army did not directly fight in south africa against white apartheid military forces, but we trained and armed some african freedom fighters.Your mind is too short for that of an MBA graduate, infact it cannot even equal that of a high school student. Wonder why your fellow countrymen have even neglected you? Is because the salt that you used to have is starting to dissolve away and has subsequently turned you into a moemish. Your story is not coherent. Countries voluntarily support who ever they want to support based on what they believe in. It is not that Nigeria could not see that South Africa was bullying Angola and Fidel from many miles away gave his selfless support, irrespective of whether was communist or not, he needed your support, for which you failed to offer, because your very country was also in turmoil. So how can a blind man guide the way for another blind man. |
agaugust: south african technology was directly transferred, some stolen, some copied, some purchased wholesale from Europe, America, and Israel.Beware the South African home grown technology which has even consumed the whole of Africa. Anybody born in South Africa is a South African, whether is black, yellow, green or purple. Don't blame me for Nigeria's misfortunes of not being a diversified country. I am proud to have been born in a diversified country. Proudly South African, all the way
agaugust: .......Talks does not help with anything. Honour goes to the people of South Africa, Cuba and Russia who could not waiste any of their times in talks, talks, talks with the UN, an organisation which was backed by supporters of Apartheid, America and Israel. Tell me did any of Nigerian soldier shed blood for the freedom of people of South Africa? No. Did any Cuban and Russian shed blood? Yes. So chief what is your argument. Is good that they rate us second dullest but considering what we produce in the world of technology, the dull beat the giants Nigeria, who have never designed anything extraordinary in the field of Engineering or technology. Beware mzansi technical mind
agaugust: there are still 5 million whites residing in rich areas and ruling south african economy from behind the scene, or have you k.illed all your millions of white men citizens with sangboma witchcraft in just 20 years ?For your information we have even more than 5 million whites, that number is still very small. Well, you are right the means of production is in the hands of white people because majority of them were unfairly empowered over black people for more than two hundred years. Surely you cannot expect such an imbalance to be redressed in a wink of an eye, like what Zimbabwe has done. ANC will have to introduce more and more of redistributive policies to shift wealth from dominating white capitalist to the peasants of society. |
agaugust: go back to page 806 of this thread and see how nigerian F-7 jets and Alpha jets sank the whole south african navy fleet of Valour frigates to sea bottom after making your Umkhonto missiles useless with its major weak point being the 10km maximum altitude/ceiling, nigerian air force attacked from 13km above sea level.SA navy frigates are still alive and kicking in Cape Town and have never been sank by any low cost chengdu polished machines. There is no way that F7's can come any close SA valour frigates, not even the latest Americas fifth generations fighters. Your simulations was very childish and full of moemish. Even though I did not get to read it but from the few sentences I could see that something is missing. There is no pilot with a sound solid mind can ever risk to attack frigate fully loaded with air defence missiles.
agaugust: i am NOT racist, i just want all south africans to remember that whatever nigeria achieves today, it is a 100% black nation. What makes you to be that sure, because that country is now run by blacks and is developing more than ever, because the former white government were only concentrating developments only in one area. What Tanzania, Kenya and Nigeria could achieve, black South Africans could have doubled it even without Whites in equation. Ever since the fall of apartheid South Africa has been the centre of attraction. The whole world flock in Mzansi just to witness beauty and developments brought about by the so called black ANC government, which is not always the case because ANC is for all.
agaugust: the south african foolish cube satellite, a students on campus university experimental toy was built by whites/french south africans. Why are you being racist. South Africans are black, whites and Asians. I am a coloured of Asian decent but I am a South African. Who has the audacity to tell Americans of African decent that they are not Americans? South Africans are South Africans irrespective of the colour of skin. We are very different from Nigeria where you only see black wherever you go. We are on the same level with the UK and US in terms of diversity.
agaugust: Nigerian NNS ARADU's missile superiority over South African VALOUR FRIGATESuperior with weak defence. How does it help? South Africas valour frigates are loaded with one of the best air and sea skemming missiles defence system. Check the one above is attacking @Agaugust low-cost Chengdu F7-Ni and that one over there is sea skemming to collide with @Agaugust superior missiles. Our valour frigate are fitted with CIWS denel guns which can fire thousands of explosive projectiles at a single shot making it difficult for any bomb or missile to penetrate.
agaugust: hey dude ! didnt you read your own source weblink ?It doesn't matter where you rank the Rooivalk, for so long it makes the top 10 list and is way far beter than Mi-24 hind. Rooivalk is much more sophisticated and advanced than your Mi-24 which is now an old cargo. Rooivalk has some qualities which are unmatched by even Apache. This machine is dangerous boss, "izo ku bulala wena barry" beware the Rooivalk.
agaugust: nigerian police is not military. nigerian prisons warders are not military. dont mix their numbers together.Nigerian police and prison, yes they are militarised. It shows you know nothing about your country. Wonder why police are also used to fight Boko Haram, it is because they are military and that's why they are wearing beret to signal military culture. It was not long that SA police were militarised as well, because all along were structures of public service. They had to change their rank structure to that of military, and now almost all the police in Africa are military. Do not downplay the numbers, BH killed over 3000 nigerian uniformed soldies some of which were hidden away from media reports.
agaugust: south africa is NOT leading satellite game in africa with your $70,000 cube satellite that i can put in my shokoto trouser pocketNigeria does not have cube satellite, FACT!! All that they have are big buses on space. SA is only one of nine countries in the world to launch nanosatellite and you should be grateful that SA respresent Africa in visually everything. When people look down on Africa and say that Africa doesn't have this and that, SA introduces it in Africa and level the world. Africa never hosted world cup showpiece before but SA convinced the world that Africa can make it. Olympics have never been hosted in Africa before, but the olympic commitee seeing that S.Africa is the only country in Africa to be seem capable, with peace, order, stability, resources, infrastructure, etc, came down to SA to beg them to put their bit forward and represent Africa since the continent has never hosted one. It is often these things which make the likes of Agaugust to remain eternal enermies of the progress made by Mzanzi. @Agaugust keep on asking themselves how can it be that SA always achieve this big, while the GIANT seems to be lagging behind. The giant of Africa is just a name and does not signal that it dominates everything in Africa. South Africa is way far older and ancient than Nigeria and we have some buildings which are far older than Nigeria herself. Nigeria might have bigger population because family planning might have been the concept which was introduced late in them. |
agaugust: Rooivalk's systems are fully published because soweto is broke and hungry for export sales that may never come.Rooivalk is ranked way above MI-24 go and make that research. Your knowledge about military hardware is limited to jealousy. Rooivalk is the best Gunship in the world and in fact it makes top 10 list. SA designed Rooivalk and what did Nigeria design. Oopps!! Naught, not even a scrap. So stop arguing like a child and get a sense in your head with facts. http://www.military-today.com/helicopters/top_9_attack_helicopters.htm http://www.wonderslist.com/10-best-attack-helicopters-in-the-world/ http://defence.pk/threads/top-gunships-helicopters.235248/
