ATEAMS:
If you reason instead of repeating what is taught you; if you analyze the law and strip off those cloudy fictions with which it has been draped in order to conceal its real origin, which is the right of the stronger, and its substance, which has ever been the consecration of all the tyrannies handed down to mankind through its long and bloody history; when you have comprehended this, your contempt for the law will be profound indeed. You will understand that to remain the servant of the written law is to place yourself every day in opposition to the law of conscience, and to make a bargain on the wrong side; and, since this struggle cannot go on forever, you will either silence your conscience and become a scoundrel, or you will break with tradition, and you will work with us for the utter destruction of all this injustice, economic, social and political.

This might be misconstrued for Dr. Damina condoning the various acts of sin as we know them but that wasn't his submission.

His audience are eaters of the bony parts of the word already and not babes being nurtured on do's and dont's of Christiandom.

Most religions abhor sin in its very nature but are still classed "hell bound" by Christians just because they don't accept the lordship of Christ as the only begotten son of God.

Only mature Christians would decipher that message.

It's very easy to flee from fleshly lust ( as do the scribes and Pharisees), but crucifying Jesus a second time would need serious oversight.

He taught good there.

Jesus Christ never gave his bones for us to crack, he gave us his flesh and his blood. All these people claiming they are now cracking the bone of The Word, I wonder who gave it to them. Strong meat is still meat my dear. None of his bones was broken and you cannot break it, you can only conform to it.

Take it all leave it, we are at war between good and evil, light and darkness and

A DAILY DEVOTION FOR JANUARY 24TH

Watch!

READ THE SCRIPTURE: MARK 13:1-37

Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back — whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!
Mark 13:35-37

Jesus gathers up all the intervening time between His first and second comings and divides it into four watches—one long night of the world's sin—and He says, You don't know (and, I think He implies, I don't know) whether the coming is to be early in that time or in the middle of it, or three-quarters of the way through, or clear at the end. No one knows. I don't know; you don't know. But it is like a man going on a journey (here He likens it to His own going away) who gives his servants work to do, and he expects them to do it. And he sets a doorkeeper to watch.

What is he to watch for? Is he to watch for the master's return? That is the way this is usually interpreted. But that is not it, for he is to start watching as soon as the master leaves. He knows the master will not be back right away. What then is he to watch for? He is to watch so that no one can deceive him and gain entrance into the house and wreck and ruin and rob all the master has. So Jesus' word is, Be alert; don't go to sleep; watch! There are temptations and pressures that will assault you to make you think that it is all a lie, to make you give up and stop living like a Christian, stop walking in faith, stop believing the truth of God. Watch out for that. And in the meantime, do your work. Don't let anything turn you aside. Don't let anything derail you from being what God wants you to be in this day and age. This is the way you watch. We are not to be looking up into the sky all the time, waiting for His coming. That will happen when He is ready. We are to watch that we are not deceived.

I have been disturbed at how many Christians seem to have fallen away. I look back across many years of ministry, and I see men whom I would have sworn were solid, tremendously committed, faithful, Bible-teaching Christians but who are now denying their faith and have turned aside. And on every side, seemingly, this increases—people falling off into immorality and iniquity, turning away from their faith, saying, in effect, they no longer believe the Lord or the Bible. It is this our Lord is warning against.

Therefore, He says that we are to keep awake. Do not believe all the secular voices that tell us the world will go on forever as it is now. Don't believe the other voices that tell us there is no God, so we can live as we please, or that if God exists, He will never judge us. Don't believe the voices that whisper to us constantly and try to turn us away from our faith. With one sharp, arresting, ringing word of command, Jesus ends his message: Watch!

Lord, strengthen me and help me to stay alert, that I may endure to the end, that I may be faithful unto death, that I too may join in that great day with those who are given the crown of life.

Life Application

Do we need to wake up and smell the dangers of complacency and carelessness in our daily walk with God? Why must we be watchful, alert, and above all prayerful?

Truly for me the garden of eden story is what constitutes about half the reason I doubted God, or bible or God's love etc.
Like God so loved man, why would he place man on same planet (even same garden) with the devil, in fact I felt he should have atleast punished Satan before putting man on earth since he truly loved man and made him in his own image *except God wanted man to fail...
Also God being omnipotent should have known man would fall long beforehand. When the deed was done I think most if not all of the punishment should have been given to satan. So because of that one mistake nan gets to spend eternity in hell. There are lots that makes me have bad thoughts about God, but I pray I don't lose hope and trust in him.

I love your openness. If you love beans as a famer, you are likely to plant beans(allow beans seed to die in the ground that it might bring forth much more beans seed). The experience of discipline is an essential part of genuine love.
Please think on the words below;

WHERE ARE YOU IN LOVE?
LAW+√E(R)=LOVE(R)=The Word (R)
LAW= The Law and The Prophets
+= The Crucifixion
√= The Burial, The Resurrection And

E= The Epistles

The Law is the act of God, Love is His way.

A man can hear The Word and still be condemned, a man can preach The Word and still be condemned but those who do The Word shall be saved assuredly.

The story of Eden is metaphoric.
Adam is Factual

You are making a mountain out of a mole hill is not real but you are real.

Taking a rib out of Adam meant Eve was to be his support and they were meant to be one.

Should I go on

Please get my stance. The story of Eden is not only metaphoric (cryptic messages abound for us therein) but it is also factual. Balaam colt talking is factual, the parting of red sea is factual, that fish swallowed Jonah is factual and that the conception of Jesus was immaculate are amongst many factual but extraordinary events in history.

This garden of Eden story is one reason I stopped going to church.
Most Pastors including the OP don't know shit about the garden of Eden.
Knowing about the garden of Eden will change your perspective of religion.
Eden was a metaphorical place and as in all narratives once something is metaphorical you don't change part of it to become factual.
There might have been a real Adam and Eve but going into a deep sleep and removing a limb where all metaphors as well as the talking serpent, tree of Life, tree of knowledge of good and evil,

Understanding all this will make you understand and appreciate religion more.

If Eden is metaphoric then Adam can't be factual. The genealogy of Jesus Christ in the Bible is traced to Adam except you are saying that Jesus is metaphoric as well and that Israel as a nation is a myth which of course is not true.

Alexgman1:
10 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE GARDEN OF EDEN

1. Eden was good, but not yet fully glorious.
Eden was bright and beautiful, and we tend to think of it in terms of perfection. But rather than thinking of Eden in terms of perfection, we should think of it in terms of potential. Certainly, Eden was pure and pristine, ordered and filled, but the Eden we read about in Genesis 1 and 2 wasn’t yet everything God intended for his creation. It was unsullied but incomplete.

From the very beginning, Eden was not meant to be static; it was headed somewhere. We could say there was an eschatology of Eden. God’s intentions for his creation have always been headed toward consummation, toward glory.

2. Eden was abundant, but it wasn’t yet expansive.
Genesis 2:8 tells us that on the earth God created, “the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east.” He instructed Adam and Eve to, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Gen 1:28). Clearly there was an expansion project in the works. As Adam and Eve worked and kept the garden, and as they were fruitful and multiplied, Eden would grow beyond its current boundaries, and the glory of Adam and Eve’s royal rule would increase.

God’s intention to dwell with a holy people in a holy land could not be thwarted by human sin.

3. Eden was completely good, but it wasn’t completely secure.
As good as the original Eden was, it was vulnerable to evil, deception, and even death. This becomes obvious when we consider that Satan inhabited the body of an ordinary serpent and brought death into the pristine garden. In Revelation 21, John takes care to assure us that this will not happen in the greater garden to come. It will be utterly secure. “Nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life,” (Rev. 21:27).

4. Eden had a rhythm of work and then rest, but not yet unending rest.
God did his work of creation, and then he rested. In his rest, God was setting before Adam something to look forward to when he accomplished his work of subduing the earth, exercising dominion over it, and filling it with image bearers. Had Adam faithfully finished the work, he and Eve and their offspring would have entered into a permanent Sabbath rest.

5. Adam and Eve were made in the image of God, but not yet as glorious as God intended.
David wrote about the first man, “You have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor” (Ps. 8:5). Clearly Adam and Eve, having been made in God’s image had a measure of his glory. Had they obeyed, they would have been transformed from one degree of glory to another. “Transformed from one degree of glory to another” has always been and still remains God’s plan for those made in his image. Even now, as the Holy Spirit works in us, we are being changed from one degree of glory to another. But it is the fullest resurrection glory we anticipate the most. “We await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body” (Phil 3:20–21).

6. Adam and Eve were naked, not yet robed in royal splendor.
When we read in Genesis 2 that Adam and Eve were naked in Eden, it may initially seem to us to be a good or neutral thing. But Moses’ original readers would have recognized that something was lacking. These were royal representatives of the great king. And royal representatives in Scripture are always dressed in royal robes (think of Joseph’s coat of many colors, Jonathan’s robe given to David, the robe and ring given to the prodigal son). The report of their unclothedness indicated a need for royal clothing which would have been given to them had they faithfully exercised dominion. But instead of being further clothed, Adam and Eve lost the original glory that covered them. This is what made their unclothedness before God so unbearable that they sought to cover themselves up with fig leaves.

7. Adam and Eve enjoyed one-flesh intimacy, but their bond was vulnerable to brokenness.
The love story in Eden began with Adam and Eve enjoying bone-of-my-bones, flesh-of-my-flesh intimacy. But the same two people who were naked and unashamed are, only a few verses later, trying to cover up their shame. The same husband who held out his hand to his wife to welcome her, exclaiming, “At last!” only a few verses later points the finger of blame in her direction, saying, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate” (Gen. 3:12). This partnership that was intended to bless the world brought a curse upon the world.

Ever since this first marriage went so terribly wrong, God has been working out his plan to present a perfected bride to the perfect groom. The day will come when the shadow of temporary human marriage will give way to the substance—the eternal, unbreakable, most intimate marriage between Christ and his bride. This will be the happiest marriage of all time.

8. Adam and Eve enjoyed God’s presence, but they were vulnerable to his presence in judgment.
Adam and Eve experienced the joy of God’s presence with them in the garden before they sinned. But one aspect of his presence with them was the warning he gave them regarding the forbidden tree, “In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die’” (Gen. 2:17). When we read in Genesis 3:8 that Adam and Eve “heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day,” it was not as though God was taking his regular leisurely afternoon stroll in the garden. This was judgment day, which for Adam and Eve meant that it was also eviction day. No longer could they live in the holy sanctuary of Eden in the presence of a holy God, because they had become unholy people.

But God’s intention to dwell with a holy people in a holy land could not be thwarted by human sin. Instead, God began working out his plan to make it possible for sinners to be made clean and holy in order to live in his presence. The day is coming when, “He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God” (Rev. 21:3).

9. Adam and Eve could have gained the knowledge of good and evil without eating from the forbidden tree.
When we read about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:9), we might think that there must have been something essentially evil, even foreboding, about this tree. But it wasn’t forbidden because it was evil. Rather, it was evil because it was forbidden. God had put this tree in the garden to give Adam and Eve the opportunity to live out genuine faith and obedience. Adam and Eve could have used the wisdom God gave them through his word to judge the Serpent’s lies and rebellion against God as evil, while clinging to God’s goodness. Adam should have crushed the head of the evil serpent then and there. He should have squashed this rebellion rather than taking part in it. Had he done so, Adam and Eve would have been able to eat their fill of the tree of life, and enter into a heavenly life, without ever having to experience death.

10. Eden had the tree of life, but Adam and Eve were prohibited from eating from it.
We’re not told specifically that Adam and Eve could not or did not eat of the tree of Life that was in the midst of the garden. But it would seem that the fruit of this tree was a feast for Adam and Eve would enjoy once they passed the test of obedience represented in the forbidden tree. Revelation 2:7 speaks of eating of the tree of life being granted to those who “overcome” or “conquer.” Clearly, Adam and Eve did not overcome temptation. They were meant to rule over creation but they couldn’t rule over their own appetites. Because of their disobedience they were barred from eating of the tree.

Revelation 22 reveals that the opportunity for God’s people to eat of the tree of life is not gone forever. Instead, the tree of life is gloriously planted in the center of the greater garden to come. In Eden, the trees bore fruit in their season, which means once a year. But in the new and better Eden, the tree of life yields a new crop of fruit every month. In Eden, the tree of life grew in the midst of the garden. But in the new Eden, the tree of life grows on either side of the river. It seems to have multiplied and expanded, implying that everyone will have access to it; all will be welcome to eat their fill. And it’s not just the fruit that will feed us; the leaves of this tree will heal us. In fact, they will heal everything.

Sometimes we hear the story of the Bible told as Creation-Fall-Redemption-Restoration. But as good as Eden was, we’re not merely headed back to Eden as it once was. The story of the Bible is Creation-Fall-Redemption-Consummation. We’re looking forward to a home that will be even better than Eden.

You are now like Pharaoh who had a dream but could not understand it meaning. After this life where you can easily make a choice (seven years of abundance), another one awaits you(seven years of famine) were your experience will be dependent on how you lived this present life. Study your Bible and meditate on the Word Of God, He will teach you, if you will learn, how to live your life with the future in view and not to get carried away by your present freedom of choice.

Ecclesiastes 11:7-10 KJV
Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun: [8] But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity. [9] Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. [10] Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

If you see only the surface, you will choose to act the part of Cain because you do not want to be the one that will have to be killed for righteousness. Cain killed Abel and became mighty, expanding and building cities but his generation became wiped out during the flood in the time if Noah. Noah came from the linage of Seth. Seth means the one who came to replace Abel as The Holy Spirit came in Jesus' stead after the Jews killed him because they were jealous that He got God's approval. You are making a choice even now, think deeply through The Word Of God. Do not be an Esau who ate his gain and planted his pain and later reaped the pain in multiples but be like Jacob who embraced his pain and planted his gain. I pray that as you meditate on this, The Lord will give you grace and lead you to glory through the knowledge and understanding of His will in Jesus Name.

Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Reveals Rapture Date - 3, 6 Or 10 Years Time by FirePower1(m): 4:10pm On Sep 15, 2020
Openbusiness:
Not sure if am 100% correct in interpretation, but he said something like 2030 being a reference of some sort, according to his calculation and then the rapture could either happen like 3 years before then, or 6 years there about after, or 10 years or something. So it was like a theoretical analysis. Do I know if he is right or wrong. NO! I don't have any research or deep knowledge on it. But I won't just insult and ridicule him for putting out such a theory. Most of the scientific laws we have in the world today were once theories put forward by people and during their time many of them were dismissed by their societies as either being crazy or stupid or heretic or possessed or something negative. But the wise societies didn't write them off outrightly, they sponsored expeditions and research to thoroughly analyse whatever those claims were, and sometimes in the process of trying to check if such theories were true, it was either they discovered Yes, it's true, or NO, it isn't true and then because they were doing their own research they sometimes will come up with a modified theory or a new theory that actually works. These are the things that fuelled human advancement. There was a time the theory that man could fly was considered stupid and crazy and impossible etc, but look at where we are today, because some people actually took the time to verify or disprove those theories. So for me, I think theories are good. At least, it presents a challenge for rational activities and helps to expand knowledge as people try to either workout such theories as correct or prove them wrong. Whichever the outcome is, it is good for Humanity. Thomas Edison speaking relative to theories that birth research and inventions said something like, He didn't fail, he just discovered 1000 ways it wouldn't work. So sometimes, to succeed we must fall first. Is Pastor Chris right about his theory? I DON'T KNOW. I really don't have an idea. But I love the fact that he tried to do something significant. I mean, the rapture is averu significant event and if we are even able to compute and understand or figure out a correct period for its possible occurrence, I think that's a very giant leap for Christianity and the world at large. Now that he has put forward this theory, I believe and expect other people, maybe theologians or pastors or religious community to look at what he said, and make a review to try to understand it first of all, and then analyse it to verify whether it's accurate or not. In the process, more theories might come forward, and before you know it, someone might eventually come up with something accurate and factual, or prove whether this theory Pastor Chris gave is true or not true. So it will cause people to try to push their boundary of knowledge further and test their minds for better ideas, and this is a good thing for Humanity. This is how we made progress this far. All the scientific laws we have today, whether physics, chemistry, biology or science in general, they were all theories at the beginning. It was when people made the effort to prove or disprove them, that they became laws after their authenticity were confirmed. That's it. So me I don't know why some people now have to turn this thing to an insult contest. If we keep ridiculing people like that, then we will kill the drive for creativity in people, because they will be afraid to come out or speak about the ideas or theories they found about for fear of being stigmatized by society. So I won't support that. I support creativity, I support free thinking. Yes some crazy ideas may come from time to time, but it will die natural death when it is found to be false. But then again, the best ideas also come from creativity and free thinking. That's part of the beauty of life

I love people like you, I which I could have you as physical friend. There is this discovery I have been sharing which no one seem to get but if you are a Christian with your kind of mind, I don't think it's gonna be difficult to grab. It simple.

Suppressing the Truth

READ THE SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 1:18-23

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Romans 1:18-20

Here we see the cause of the wrath of God. The apostle explains that it is the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness that causes God's wrath. The tragic aspect of life is caused by the attitudes men have and the subsequent actions that follow. Notice the order of this — godlessness and then wickedness. It is the godless attitude that produces the wicked actions, and that is why the wrath of God is being revealed constantly from heaven against man. What is godlessness? Godlessness isn't necessarily atheism, the belief that God doesn't exist. Godlessness is acting as though he doesn't exist. It doesn't necessarily deny that there is a God, but it never takes any account of him; it doesn't expect him to be active.

As a result of godlessness, there is unrighteousness or wickedness, selfish and hurtful acts of men toward one another. Why do we act selfishly? Why do we hurt each other? Because we disregard God, and expect there will be no consequences. That is Paul's analysis. By means of these hurtful and selfish acts, the truth is suppressed.

Here we are in a world in which truth from God is breaking out all around us, but we are busy covering it up, hiding it, suppressing it, keeping it from being prominent and dominant in our thinking. The reason life has turned tragic in so many cases is because the world is deprived of the truth that is necessary for life and liberty and freedom and godliness, and it is hidden by men and suppressed by them. The nature of the truth that is suppressed is the existence of a God of eternal power and majesty.

How has God made truth plain? The Scripture says that God has revealed himself to man. Truth is not a vague, invisible, difficult thing to comprehend; it is clearly seen. God himself has insured that. How? The Scriptures say, It is seen in that which is made, i.e., creation. From the creation of the world it is visible; i.e., it has been always and everywhere present. There is no one who is left out — all can read this revelation of God if they want to do so. This argument from creation's design and order has never been rebutted. Those who disregard God cannot explain it because truth about God is breaking out everywhere around us.

Thus, says the Scripture, people are without excuse. No one who really wants to find God need miss him.

Father, help me not to suppress the truth, but to bow before you as both my Creator and Redeemer.

Life Application

Blatant suppression of Truth in the public square is undeniable. What about our lives? Are we suppressing God's Truth by neglecting to know and obey the revelation of Truth in His Word?

Poems For Review / Re: Poem Against Rape By Hashimyussufamao by FirePower1(m): 8:10am On Jun 02, 2020
My thought may be criticised but let's bring all to the table. A lot of financially weak women and men have been financially raped by people who are stronger financially. A lot weak men who can not take their eye off seductively dress women have been raped emotionally and are nursings their emotional wound when they masturbate in secrete. I think in fighting rape, we should look at all these angles because a lot of people are made to do what they would ordinarily not do and are suffering from the consequences silently because they have been weakened by prevailing circumstances. Rape in a broad sense is using what you have to forcefully suppress
(not convincingly impress) other human beings into subjection. If you make a man to surrender to your "ileke idi" (waist beads) and a sexual act occurs for that reason only then you have raped the man because waist beads are not meant for public display. Do not rape people physically, do not rape people emotionally, do no rape people financially. Rape is animalistic.
PS: Come to think of it, are African leaders not raping their followers?

Have you ever seen Trump or Putin with a face mask? The men are representing their nations, a covering on their faces is like a covering on their nation and it will be a thing of shame. With face mask, your identity is covered. The world might sooner get to the stage of mandating another type of identification other than your face but till then there will be a lot to talk about.
