Yes it was but it was still showing on the ewallet. When I checked later, I noticed the course registration has reflected remaining the exam and project registrations |

Samisha500: PORTAL REFRESHED FOR COMMENCEMENT OF 2021_1
I hereby bring to your notice that NOUN website, nouonline.net has been refreshed or updated this evening in full preparation for 2021_1 academic session. Although the semester has commenced since December but now is the most appropriate time to start your registration.
Furthermore, I want to remind you that in NOUN, it is mandatory for all students to do ''portal registration'' otherwise known as semester registration or activation. Let's say you don't have enough fund to register courses and exams in present semester, ensure you do portal activation in order for your profile to be active in the database until you are ready to resume academics.
Finally, when you are about to login on the website in view, you may see the message ''incorrect username or password'' so just do portal activation. https://www.nouonline.net/stuser_reg.php
Thank you for reading.
MISHA CARES Thank you for this information but I noticed that the Courses and examination registration that was done before this updating of the portal was wiped out and not showing on students portal. Any information about this? Also, are you aware if exam carry over Registration have begin? |

Staness: This new policy goes against everything NOUN stands for. The flexibility that Noun is known for has crumbled. Imagine telling someone to register for 200l first semester without being done with 100l. It doesn't make sense at all. Do these Policy makers consider the plights of the students before making absurd policies Please who knows the email address of the new VC and key officials, let me air my grievances. Plus what is this news I'm hearing about NOUN staff joining ASUU. Shey I never enter one chance bayi Don't worry NOUN will never go on strike. As for this new policy, we are watching as things unfold. The major reason for this is to curb examination timetable clashes. So there will be no case of a student writing 2 or more exams in a given time |

Ribasandez: I really pray our certificates will be sent to us after the convocation ceremony. It's the information associated with this certificate acquisition that keeps me bound to this platform (noun nairaland)
I must hold on to all documents for personal reasons.
If anyone has information regarding that, it would be a relief.
I rue the day the pandemic reared its neck and hissed at me. But I'll always prevail. Well, the certificates won't be sent but instead you will have to go to Headquarters to collect it yourself. A date will be fixed for each faculties to go to Headquarters for the certificate collection. |

Tessyy1701: Since they can collect gown from each study centre why can't they give them their certificates at each study centre? Why must they travel to Abuja again? From the inception of NOUN, certificates have never been collected from the study Centres and it won't start now. NOUN Management will have to schedule days for each faculty graduands to come collect their certificate in order to avoid too much crowd. |

Enskynelson: Just leave some persons to continue to whine. Instead of asking questions, the OP is there shouting. He wants to collect his certificate without paying for it. 5k for gown will be refunded 10k is towards his certificate ...but he never knew cos he never asked. The fact that NOUN is a Public institution and is moving ahead without losing any session despite the lockdown and Covid 19 should be appreciated. They are even convocating students when all other public institutions are lagging way behind should be an avenue to appreciate their steadfastness, but instead, we Nigerians never see anything good in any thing Nigerian. We should learn to appreciate some things in this country. |
Education › Re: NOUN Virtual Convocation: Graduands To Pay N15K For Gown by Fkj202004: 11:37am On Jan 20, 2021 |
Well, I have a question to ask.
Have you seen any University organise convocation for its students and convocation fees are not paid? Why are we now questioning this?
NOUN have Study Centres in all states of the federation and all graduands are expected to pick up their convocation gowns from the study Centre. This convocation gowns are to be returned after the ceremony which is going to be held online.
As graduand, you are expected to put on your convocation gown and join the ceremony online. The 15k comprises of 10k for the collection of certificate and 5k for gown (this payment for gown will be refunded).
Now, everyone is complaining because the students are paying for convocation fee which every University in the world pays. Even Private Universities that did online matriculation during the lockdown collected money for convocation. |
