Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is this fair on a job applicant? by folks4luv(f): 10:29am On May 13, 2016 |
donigspain: Employment Agencies are professionally run organisations which maintains very high ethical standards. The companies DO NOT in any way deduct from employees remunerations. Outsourcing is about the provision of services to organisations who ordinarily would have handled the outsourced functions internally but rather decided to outsource in order to focus on their core competencies/functions or business.
Employees are given Offer of Employment Letters which detail the Gross remunerations of the concerned staff, and this is strictly adhered to. They also deliberately domicile the salary accounts of their employees working in the Banks with the respective Banks they are posted to, so as to allow for transparency. This gives the Bank the privilege to check if they short change the employees.
They do not have any need to deduct your salary when you get the job because they are paid professional fees by the clients they provide outsourcing services to. can you please name such agencies? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is this fair on a job applicant? by folks4luv(f): 10:26am On May 13, 2016 |
not really bad to pay them for like 2 to 3 months, they functioned as a bridge, press buttons for you, you should pay them. but I have prob with those that collect salary on your behalf and give you out of it, that one is modern day slavery. those that ask you to subscribe yearly too are fraud, they don't get the job for you, you pay them to submit your CV and if you don't get d job, not their biz cause you v paid them in advance. |

Romance › Re: Help! He Thought I Loved Him, But I Was Only Playing by folks4luv(f): 11:33am On May 12, 2016 |
nlfan: Our company recently employed this guy, we worked in the same company before, then he was a manager and i was a junior staff.
I left the company years ago and joined another, so few months ago he got employed in my new office as a Director.
When he resumed, being that i knew him before, i started playing around with him, like when he was introduced to us, i was like oo, common, i hug him tightly and people were surprise at our closeness before i informed them that we have worked together before.
I am a jovial person, so each time i go around his office, i will call him boyfriend, my love, hope no girl is trespassing cos i will fight o and his subordinates will laugh and say you are not serious.
On the job, we get to work together at times cos i am a Manager now, we go for meetings etc, then some of his job includes doing some short production, even though i am not employed as a video producer, i told him i can do those for him personally, cos i recently learn those, he was surprise before but he decided to give me a try, i did it for him and he liked it, he became close and said i was helping him solve alot of problems.
Recently when he comes to my office, he will ask my PA where is my woman and that one will laugh knowing i started it but i just thought that was it though.
So last month when we went to the Palms Mall, to seek for permission to film their facilities in the short production work we had, we were together then he decided to do some shopping, i helped him carry the things he bought and just had fun, he took me to shoprite and ask me to shop, i just pick two things, drink and rice and he said is that all i said yes, he started showing me things, take this, take that i said i was okay, that it wasnt appropriate to come here and start shopping like its month end. So we left, in the car he said, you do have some very good attribute girl, i said like what, he said never mind and we drove off.
After that he started asking if we can have lunch but most time our lunch time dont sync, so i told him not to worry, then he asked for a dinner, i close late, im a workaholic, so most times i will agree but i will work till 9pm and he would have waited and get tired and left.
Finally i get to have a dinner date with him and he ask if we could do this more often, i said why not boyfriend jokingly, the next time we were having dinner, I said boyfriend let me greet that guy there, i really needed to meet him, he has a contact i need for work, he held me and said you call me boyfriend jokingly, i want you to mean it lol.
After i met with the guy, he started telling me how he loved me and how he will really love us to be in a relationship, he doesnt expect a yes and he knows its so wrong on all level because we work in the same place, but i can think about it and give him a response later that he will respect any decision i make.
I said thank you o, but since then, dude is so soft and nervous when he sees me, i can see the butterflies even when we are in a client meeting.
Even though he tries not to make it obvious at work, after work he is all over me
Last night we were together, i told him i am scared as he is almost 40 and not married, that i believe any guy who gets to that age, with enough money but has not married is a play boy lol. He couldn't say a word for like some minutes then he said, yes i am old enough to have been married and i had relationships, beautiful relationships with wonderful women, some didn't work because of my mistakes and because of things i neglected and some didn't work because it was not meant to work, but above all have learnt alot to be at least a better man and i am ready to make it work this time i promise, i have no doubt if you are the right girl because have known you for long and have never had a second thought about my woman, so forgive me for not making it work all these while, i want to make it right this time - MEHN THOSE WORDS RINGS IN MY HEAD LIKE KILODE, i loved the fact that he didnt put the blame on the ladies he's dated.
Now on my own side, I do not feel anything for him but i like him alot, i like that we should be hanging out, go out, do dinner and talk from morning tonight but i do not feel anything aside that. What do you guys advise. I think u need to sort out ur feelings ASAP. as a woman, it is possible to be fond of a guy and not love him, fondness is not enough. but then, ask urself what you will be losing by letting him go, a part of u or just a friend you are fond of? how will u feel deep down if he get hooked up with another girl after u let him go? once u are sure u don't want him, find a time to have a heart to heart discussion with him, let him know u respect him and u don't want to take advantage of him. then try stop being a friend. stop being overly jovial n close. of course it will hurt him, but you just have to do it any way. and BTW. that company of urs looks like a PLC I will love to work. can you hook me up? |

“Thank you to the Archbishop. We have great admiration for the good relationship between our two countries,” Mr. Buhari said."
Above quote caught my attention. Not sure the Archbishop specifically mentioned Buhari or Nigeria in the video but assuming it's true it only means as much as our president is single out from us in this highly embarrassing remark, he is fine with it. Says a lot about his love for Nigerians. To him every Nigerian is corrupt except him. Not fair. I'm a Graduate seeking employment and have bills to pay.. I joined some channels on BBM where I get lots of information, some time ago, someone posted a BBM pin of a person who offers ushering/weekend jobs. Being broke and needing to get some legal and fast money, I added the pin and it happened to be a woman.
She sends BC's of jobs she has and most times she'll tell me I can't do jobs like that cz I'm a Muslim and I wear hijab. She said if I can pay agency fee to her friend, I could get ushering jobs from him.
She has been on my list since February and we talk once in a while, last week she said there was a 3day job in ikeja and I could participate if I paid 7k as agency fee. Without thinking, I transferred 7k to the account number she gave me and even invited 3 of my friends who also paid. I asked her for the address of the venue but she said I should wait till she finished compiling the names of the girls that had paid, so that she could send it to the agent and then get the address. This was Wednesday night.
On Thursday morning, we got ready and set out to beat the traffic from Alagbado to ikeja hoping she would send the address since she said the event was to start by 11am. We got to ikeja some minutes to 11 and then she said we couldn't work last week, we should bear with her and she would fix us for this week. I started pinging her and sent her a whole lot of messages but she didn't reply.. I asked for her number but she said she doesn't give her number to clients.
On Friday, she later replied and said I shouldn't worry, that we would work on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. And that she couldn't refund the money cz she has added our names to the list already and if we don't work on Tuesday and Wednesday, she will give us our money.
Yesterday was Tuesday, she hasn't replied any of my messages since Sunday but she has been reading them. But she still hasn't deleted me and the other people I gave her pin to.
What do you guys think? I'll post the information I have if needed.. Thanks in advance and please go easy on me!
Pls mod in charge! Help do the needful.. Thank you! I registered for d same job on a website some weeks ago, eventushers.com or something. I submitted a few personal info n pic n they sent me a mail that they v hired me cause I am best fit for d job, without interview or seeing a full pic o. they also said I should pay 5k for reg fee, that was it. I figured such agencies make money by taking their commission of ur pay, but they must get u a job first, that way, its a win win or lose lose situation. I kinda believe you have been scammed. wait for a couple of days more u may report to d police, with d account number, the fraudster can be traced . good luck sis |

scully95: The chances are TeeBillz will have his parent take good care of the child which is the best thing to do here or if he gets married on time to another woman. Then all things being equal.
I am very sure why the helders decided this is because kids learn faster from their mother and it's the reason they say mother's tongue. Meaning no matter what Language the father speaks to the kid, it is the mother's language or tongue he or she will grab first.
For that reason i think kids will learn faster to be a prostitute living with mother than living with father. By the way Tiwa neither has time for the Huband nor the kid. So what are we saying ? just ignore my initial post, can see you are more sentimental about this issue than logical. do you know why some guys are abusive today? they saw their father abusing and dehumanising their mother. dunno where our get the theory of a child learning faster from the mother than from the father from but it is dumb and shallow. both the father and the mother owns the child, but in case of separation, where ever the child goes to, hebor she carries the name and identity of the father. why should we a child who have a mother that is capable of providing care be left with a relative if the incapable husband, I mean, what happens to logic. I learnt my father's dialect first, but grammarian called first language mother's tongue, so now, my father's language is my mother tongue, see that? |

scully95: Who is talking about bride price here ? The Child belonging to the Father, means it used the rope to tie the wife down to the father right ? If the wife wants to go here, she's also free to go. So what's the point ?
How did that tie the wife down to the Husband ? She can also visit but the father will have full custody of the child (especially when it's one child) and when Child grows up to 18 he or she can decide where to go.
And this is simply because of Ladies generally. Single ladies in Yoruba land are always suspected to be fcking about anyhow or some even turn prostitutes. (Even when they are married they are still fcking abt carelessely, and kids learn very fast from them especially when these kids are not with their fathers or the two living together)
So you expect the kid here to grow up and be like her mother right ? Again this is not London or Uk or even Russia where they have a different culture. This is Yoruba land and the helders must have seen a lot before coming to this conclusion.
If we are to even go by your idealism of slavery, it's catholic here that is doing that. As we speak it's almost impossible to get a divorce and marry again in Catholic church. What is that ? kinda understand your points but you need to slow down a bit and consider this case. TJ doesn't have a regular income, we need no prophet to tell us he is going through psychological trauma. what If all Tiwa's allegations are true? what if the guy is on drugs? leave the boy with him in the name of culture? The western people you cited as an example doesn't give custody to the mother or father automatically, but they examine the parents and then decide who is fit to take care of a child. now, that is commonsense at play. is our culture so devoid of commonsense that the custody of a child will be awarded to an irresponsible parent cause it it is automatic? |
