Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Create The Tree Of Good and evil If He Didn't Want Man To Sin by folks4luv(f): 2:45pm On Apr 10, 2016 |
analice107: Create this scenarios in your mind's eyes.
Am your Mum, sovery rich. Everything you want you can get, I have a mansion which you live in it with me. One day i call you into a room empty, I mean nothing to eat in it, and then I give you an instruction saying, "Am going out my son, see that you touch nothing in this room till I return. Remember, it's an empty room, and am telling you not to touch anything. What's is there to touch?
Again, I am your parent, am very wealthy. You of course is my child, and so lives in my mansion full of everything. But I call you and instructs you and say "Son, you can make use of everything in the freezer, every thing, only just this "wheat Bread", pls don't touch it", and I went out. I left everything to your disposal, no restrains. There's assorted of everything. All kinds of breads, eat your fill, but don't touch the Wheat Bread. But you left every other thing you are free to touch and eat, but went to the only one I instructed you don't touch. In your head or mind's eye, what do you see?
Let me help you. God Wanted to teach Adam Obidience and control.
In the first scenario, the room was empty, so Adam would of course have nothing to touch. If he touched nothing, because there was nothing to touch, would you call that Obidience? Will he be exercising any control? No.
The second scenario. Every thing but ONE is given to you. BUT you are instructed, leave the Wheat Bread alone. But u left the flour bread or corn bread and went for the wheat bread. Would you say Adam did well? Can you obey instructions without control? No. If you love me, you will respect me, if you respect me, you will obey me. Finish. When you ask questions first think. I love ur illustration, really detailed, lemme just add this to it. aside from God wanting obedience, he created them a free will agent, so God gave dem d opportunity to choose, 'I lay before thee life and death, good and evil, blessings and curses'. God created man, but he wanted man to decide his own destiny, to choose who he will obey. God still do that today, he doesn't force his will enough, He wants us to love Him enough to Choose him though we have options. |

I really agree with the op. I didn't talk about going to heaven or not 2. if Christianity is a way of life, don't u think having a right mindset wen fellowshipping with other believers is part of that way? 3. most u insult odas to make a point? shows how much u truly respects urself |
Christianity Etc › Do Not Go To Church If You Have This Believe by folks4luv(op): 7:54am On Apr 03, 2016 |
A friend of my late dad said something recently that got me thinking, he said when they were younger, they had this mindset that they were doing God a favour each time they go to church, so they only go once in a while. speaking further, he said now that he is more advanced in years, he realised their stupidity because he and his friends obviously needed God more than He needed them and they weren't doing God but themselves a favour by going to church.
I have realized this is the mindset of a lot of people, especially the younger generations. each time we go to church or attend a religious programme, we think we are doing God a favour, or sometimes, our parent most particularly our mother a favour.
But let me ask you, what do you think God have to lose if you do not attend services? Having such mindset is haughtiness and God loath the proud but is close to the humble.
Do have a great time in His presence today. And remember to pray for Nigeria. |

Agubushmenyo: It has never bin better!!
From Obj to Yaradua to Gej.
So I dnt see why people should swallow Buhari alive because the Economy isn't too good now. We have experienced worse cases. I bought fuel for 400naira under Gej.
So all I do is lookout for loopholes in a Government and survive.
Selling Black Market of Fuel is also an option. Don't you think so too?? not an option for me. but wait, are we still talking about d same thing? bk to d main issue, I don't think d president of a country chilling with Obama, a President of another country is something worth celebrating or flaunting, celebrating that as an achievement is more of a slave mentality right? that was d point of d 'talk'. u c it have nothing to do with criticizing d govt? |

You get my point?? n am sure u wouldn't have considered my comment a rant if you were objective n less sentimental. if course, neither APC nor PDP care, yr right there |

tomakint: From all indications and going by what this Senator just revealed to us, Saraki is already in PDP and here is a man who rode to power through APC's back....tell me what type of human does that if not a useless, desperate good for nothing politician. I think any PDP man can be the Senate President besides Saraki....that's OK, since the APC stalwarts in the Senate are already used to that. PDP made Saraki into who he is today not APC, Saraki crossing to APC n APC accepting him was d main reason I stop believing in d sincerity of APC. Saraki used PDP structure to win Kwara state for APC, what do u call that?I call it betrayal. APC used saraki to fight PDP, now d trend has changed, don't think anyone should complain, esp APC. |

Expansionary Fiscal and Monetary policy is always recommended in economic situations like this. But no time is too late shaa! looks like u kinda understand this report, but am a lil confused. there was a report here on nairaland that d FG plans to infuse 3trillion naira, fund gotten from TSA into economy to give it a boost, but here, d CBN planning to withdraw billions from d economy, aren't d two actions a contrast ? or both can run on a parallel? |

sammhi: How? what concrete plan is being laid so it could be better? tell me one? If the man since he assumed power had focused on one thing.., by now result wl be showing. But if I may ask you..what exactly are you expecting? Your response may open my eyes. I for one want him to succeed.. since am not a politician. but how will he do it when he is not even laying the foundation. GEJ within one year , there was no more fuel queues, Food was abundant, solved the lingering minimum wage, put in place system to establish universities etc. So even the world economic melt down of 2010 didn't affect us, the flood disaster of 2012 , we didn't feel it.. there was food security... My point is in year is enough for PMB to have laid down. concrete foundation... secondly, it is very difficult to build...so don't think to improve on something is easy...it requires hard work.. a lot of it.... PMB may be working hard but in what direction..? it appears he is not used to carrying people along.. one of d most sensible n intelligent comments I have see on nairaland. that exactly is my point too, of course we need to wait for change to happen, but it is wise to know what we are waiting for |
Christianity Etc › Re: Ese Walter Denounces Jesus, Says She No Longer Believes In God by folks4luv(f): 7:36pm On Mar 28, 2016 |
Benite: I disagree with those who believe its coza pastors ordeal that changed her mindset. We all as Christians go through disappointments and heart breaks by people we trust but God sometimes allows these to happen too build us up and make us a better person. The word trust is only Absolutely true for God, as we are living by grace and can disappoint even ourselves by our actions, telling you that you should not trust yourself but God alone as he is the author and finisher of our faith. Psalm 118 vs 8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. If her alleged ordeal with the pastor could discourage her about God, then i wonder if she caught him doing fetish/diabolic stuff to her how it would have been. If she is discouraged then she should re-examine her life, because God allows things like this to happen so you can learn to trust fully on him. have you being abused and deceived by a man who came to u in d name of The Lord? if u v not been, am sure u cant understand what must have gone through her mind that drove her to that decision. |
