1.APC apologists cry that fuel is not being subsidised...well it is. Landing cost was N720 as at October, now it is N1000..meaning subsidy costs rose from N20-140 to N300-420 per liter today. We are pushing ourselves into more debt so see where we are

2.IN 2012 january, landing cost was N99 per liter, now it is N1000. Fuel price was N97 per liter now it is N580-720.

Assuming Nigeria kept fuel at N97 per liter as some PDP apologists wanted , by now subsidy would have risen from N2 per liter to N920 per liter ...and note that fuel consumption has risen over the years.

We would have a debt that would make our current debt look like the pocket money you give your 10 year old.

See how much subsidy costs? But all of you, be it PDP or APC or LP, many of you want it.

No one will come out and tell you how they got their job through connections. I once worked for a company and the head of programming was not good with programming the reporting application which I was brought in to help them build as he was an electronics guy. The director was very pleased with my work and his big clients liked the application I was building, some time later the director, who was a nice guy told me confidentially that the head of programming is his inlaw, they then brought another guy that knew nothing as lead developer, then the two of them to mess up the application for them. I decided to leave them as I could not work with such people and guess what about two years later the company folded up.

Once a self-taught gets a role through connections, all he does is use node.js, react or something they think they are good in for an application without understanding the best tool for the job. These are some of the things you learn about in a good CS or a programming related degree like SE or Computer Engineering. It's like a self-taught builder that builds a house without knowledge of architecture, structural engineering but just knows how to paint and some other minor stuff and builds a house with it, compared with a builder with a degree in building.

I have been in the software industry now for about 2 decades and I know what I'm saying that you need connections as a self-taught to get a programming job both front-end or backend.

A good CS or programming related degree gives you the skills and knowledge to learn any language you may need at work.

I don't have a github account but have being working for a top email marketting company in USA for over 5 years with an annual salary in $$$$$. I also use my free time to develop a SAAS software which earn me $$$$$ per month.
Money is easy to earn online but most Nigerian developers arè just lazy to brain storm for ideas and earn decent cash instead they preffer working for useless companies in Nigeria and earn stipends.

U guys in lagos are enjoying o...buying fuel at 605, for abuja na 660.

Some people stay far away from their place of work so i understand where this guy is coming from it's like you live in keffi. Even from abuja international airport to inside abuja isn't up to 50km.

My daily commute to and fro is about over 50kms. My muscle 2010 with fuel consumption at 9.3L/ 100km , thats close to 7k daily that if I nor branch go somewhere. Minus weekend waka and church during weekends and sunday

Truly, I get OCD with fuel sha i nor go lie. I don't let it get lower than full tank. So every time I go out, I must buy fuel so the pointer would be above full.

After I buy the fuel the fuel consumption on the dash board would show 5.1L/ 100km initially but with driving in traffic it would increase to 9.2 or 9.3L/100km
