Politics › Re: It Doesn’t Make Sense To Export Crude And Not Supply Dangote Refinery — Rewane by forgiveness: 5:34pm On Nov 28, 2023
seunmsg:
The problem is that we've mortgaged all our current and next year crude oil production during the Buahri administration. We sold everything on forward contracts so all our production have been paid for already. What we are doing now is simply producing and supplying what we have been paid for. So, the only option is to increase crude production what we have sold on future contracts. That's why the president is trying to settle some of the OML and OPLs currently not in production as a result of dispute. That is why the ENI case was withdrawn in Italy and why government has commenced the process of auctioning oil wells. That's why the president is moving from UAE to Saudi Arabia to discuss how to increase our OPEC quota and how to get them to invest in the expansion of crude oil production in Nigeria.
Buhari don finish us. However, I hope withdrawing from that case will bring benefits to us.

Anyway, I now understand his trips to the aforementioned countries but it could take long to gain from those investments. Then how do we pay debts?

Politics › Re: It Doesn’t Make Sense To Export Crude And Not Supply Dangote Refinery — Rewane by forgiveness: 4:11pm On Nov 28, 2023
Exactly. Crude oil in Nigeria must first be sufficient enough for local production before selling it abroad.

It's nolonger business as usual.

Chinese is tell you local engineer don't have experience.

What experience does China have before they established construction companies?

China products were tagged Chinko because of low quality but overtime with continuous practice, they became masters in production.

Nigerian engineers need to be encouraged to gain experience.

Must be super profitable to be a banker in Nigeria.
That kind of arbitrage is crazy.
If you're connected - buy dollars at 850 - in bank
Go to the backstreet - sell at 1150.
Cool - 300 Naira per dollar - easy money - zero work done - zero risk. Almost 30% profit.

The Zoo cannot be fixed by Tinubu unfortunately - the dysfunction is too much
Exactly. But the zoi is ya backyard.

Why would someone go to a Hausa businessman selling dollars more expensively than their local bank?

Make me understand. Are Hausa using guns to stop people from going to buy cheap dollars (850) and go the backstreet for 1150?

You're incredible.

Black market exist because the commercial banks cannot meet dollar demand. They cannot meet because there is free market - where demand and supply forces - work to align.

Banks should sell dollars at 1150 like black market - and soon nobody will go backstreet.
Because banks don't sell. So, where do you buy?

Banks are part of the problem.

Banks are allegedly accused of using it to do business. The reason new policies are underway. Banks must also recapitalize.

I'm of the notion that ijebu ancestry is different from the ife. All ijebu came from ijebu ode that is as old as ife.
My greatest surprise is me not see ogunmodede
56 Ladejobi leaving ife to ibeju will have to be investigated. The people who should dominate that region should be aworis and ijebus from ijebu-ode.
43 What do you mean by Epe Sagamu? Ikorodu founders should be from sagamu, what is Oga from Epe Sagamu?

Is Ogunmude same as ogunmodede?
Actually, 13 towns came together to form what we now know as Sagamu in the 18th century because of war. Epe, Makun, Ofin etc were part of the towns that came together to form Sagamu. They were independent towns before then.

Freely floating yet people are still buying from backstreet.

Nigeria need to do what I have always told you - long before brilliant Tinubu came - and implemented.

FREELY FLOAT NAIRA. It not freely floating now. Do you hear of black market dollar rate in Kenya or South Africa.
Doesn't change the fact that naira is sill freely floating.

New policy against black market will be unveiled very soon.

Remember, blackmarkert is the source of income for an ethnic group in here hence the need to tread cautiously to avoid being tagged as witchhunting them.

Why havent he allowed Naira to freely float until we dont have a black market rate?
Why did he chicken out at 850 naira.
Freely float Naira and let it drop until it find it base.
Then it will climb.

With reforms - you go full length.
Naira is still freely floating until this day. Nothing like chicken out.

Still crying over elections while Ruto is getting worldwide attention for his reforms?

Kenya is doing very well - it's put in reforms that only Tinubu has attempted to follow but seem to be losing fights.

These reforms are going to pay off.

Quick ones last year - are paying off. Kenya harvested 16M more bags. For first time we are 65M bags of Maize and we dont need Tanzania or Uganda maize.
What do you mean Tinubu is loosing fight?

I highlighted this before the season started, but most of our fans were carried away by 'yori yori' performances here and there.

I don't know if his height is making him too slow to unleash a shot. I can't see how we can make first 4, with a striker with no predatory instinct.
Dude has no predatory instinct. Chelsea has to get another striker.

See that pass that fell before him. Instead of one time volley, he wanted to control and dribble.

With Jackson, Chelsea are going nowhere. See the chances he throway before Newcastle led.

The coach messed up. He saw the pressure that led to the second goal due to Chelsea inability to control the midfield because of Ugo but he refused to bring in another midfielder to change the game.

Newcastle obviously pressed our defenders. Chelsea needed a player like Caicedo to stabilize the midfield.
