Success2019:It should be dated with the same month of application submission. |
Success2019:You don't have to be gainfully employed. Simply, fill in the details of your secondary and primary school education there and use your school as the employer while the job position will be named as student |
realshifu:Your application was pretty fast. Congratulations! |
galala123:Valid! |
Damsyangel23:Sorry to hear this, please continue bugging them with mails until you get a response from them. |
Damsyangel23:This is way too much, your Application has overstayed the processing time without a medical request. Please try sending them a CSE Asap! |
COPR:I am very much aware of all this and I wouldn't like to go into any further debate. As you said, the decision is dependent upon the applicant. |
Chievoo:The reason why I said the applicant should wait is because of the deadline stated by CIC on his passport request letter. Since you confirmed that there is an office in Abuja that can renew this passport within a day or two. The applicant should go ahead and renew it. Personally, I prefer getting my stamped passport first before renewing my passport. |
COPR:The applicant is asking if he can renew his passport before submitting to CIC for visa stamping and not the other way round. Therefore, the answer should be NO, when he has finally received his stampped Canadian visa passport he can then apply for a renewal. |
Henkubert:At this point, I don't think there is anything anyone here can do concerning your ongoing application. When is your resumption date? You may want to defer your admission to winter as most schools in Canada has already resumed for the fall. Also, try sending a CSE to the processing visa office. |
Doyenrey:No! Don't renew your passport before submitting. When you've finally received your stamped visa passport, you can then renew it. Make sure while travelling to Canada you take along with you the expired/old passport and the new/renewed one. At POE you will be asked to present the expired travel document containing the valid Canadian visa together with the new/renewed travel document lacking a Canadian visa. The immigration officer at POE will issue you a study permit on your new acquired passport. Congratulations on your achievement. |
goingforward:He is truly a living God and will never fail those who put their trust and hope in him. Congratulations goingforward, I am happy your application finally scaled through. We pray and hope for more approvals this week. |
Goldenegg:Please kindly instruct the person to return home. Staying back in Canada when the vacation/visiting visa has already elapsed will endanger the applicant ongoing study visa application. |
emeify:Oh! Good to hear you're doing wonderfully well over there and the weather its quite favourable to you. As regards the TA, the info you passed across is very impactful and will be of an additional knowledge to me. Thank you Ma and enjoy your stay in Canada. |
thompson1510:Documents that needs to be notarized are documents that does not bear an official signature or stamp on them. Hence, if your documents have this, you don't have to notarized them. Countless applicants gets approved without notarising any of their documents. |
litterbug:litterbug, You have no choice, but to reapply to your school and have your acceptance letter (fall 2019) handy. You can't present a different DLI offer letter from the one you submitted with your application for CIC to approve your visa. Time flies, before you know it, we are already close to fall next year. Edited: Since you can't wait for fall next year, reapply to your school for the fall 2019, and at the same time apply to another DLI for winter term. Once CIC requests for an updated LOA from you, send the fall 2019 to them. Then, when you've gotten your stamped visa passport, simply go to your MyCiC account and change the DLI so you can travel for the winter term 2019. |
MISFITrep:Have you checked Conestoga College, Red river college, and centennial College? |
Awuuga:Your ties looks good! You can do better than the above by convincing the visa officer about your career prospects and plans after studies. How your proposed program will be of paramount benefit to you in future and to your nation as whole... What difference can you make upon your return to Nigeria?, how will your international certificate be of cutting edge over your contemporaries back home?, What is your short term and long term after study plan? All these can also stand as part of your unwavering commitments back home. |
Ayoola222:Check Brandon University Manitoba their tuition are relatively lower when compared to other institutions in Canada and they offer Nursing program. |
Awuuga:Are these number of persons (5) still under her care? If there are some that are already married or working in their respective offices, then her financial resources is sufficient. Moreover, the era of insufficient funds for CIC has passed, you're left with a big task to convince the visa officer beyond reasonable doubt that your intent of travelling to Canada is strictly for studies and would leave after your authorized stay by providing sufficient ties back home. |
emeify:Yes! I think RA/TA category are also countable to 20 hours per week for international students regardless of their funding. That reminds me, How have you been doing over there Ma? It's been a while. |
Awuuga:Awuuga, 1-)Your mother's financial establishment is sufficient only if she doesn't have much dependents to cater for. Please make sure she gets a reference letter from the bank stating that she's the sole signatory to this company account. 2-) I don't think it's important for her to transfer money to your personal account, reasons because she is your biological mother and it's generally known by the Visa officers that parents can't leave their children stranded in a foreign country. Transferring of funds is a good option when you're making use of third party sponsorship, those who are not close relative (uncle, aunt, company or employer) to evidence funds accessibility to the applicant. Hence, your mom already paid first term tuition is adequate to proof her financial commitment. It's left for you, If you want her to effect the transfer... Fine!, but it's not compulsory. Even if she wants to, let it be in a dorm account to show that funds are already in convertible currency and can be easily exported to Canada when your TRV is approved. All the best! |
makano:I humble myself boss! I also learn from you guys in one way or the other. ![]() |
mightyokwy:mightyokwy, The content of an LOE can begin this way... The Visa Officer, Deputy High Commission of Canada, 4 Anifowoshe street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Sir/Madam, Sub: Re-application for Study Permit Mightyokwy. 2 years Masters in Computer Science University of British Columbia. I applied for a Study Permit for Canada on the 15th of July, 2018 for my masters Programme in computer sciences at the University of British Columbia for the fall term 2018 and got refused on the 24th of August, 2018 the second time. The Study Permit refusal was based on the following reasons; • PURPOSE OF VISIT • CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION • LIMITED EMPLOYMENT PROPECTS • FINANCIAL STATUS/ ASSETS I also ordered my GCMS notes and have gone through the detailed rejection reasons. I wish to offer the following clarifications with a request to kindly reconsider my application and grant me the Study Permit. GCMS NOTES; COPY AND PASTE YOUR GCMS NOTE HERE: The ground for rejection of my Visa application and clarification are mentioned here under; 1-) PURPOSE OF VISIT - Discuss about the lucrativeness and reasonableness of undertaking your proposed program in Canada at a high expense when there are similar available program here in Nigeria. Show strong correlation between your previous studies, current employment status with your proposed program. Also provide documentations to evident your claims. 2-) FAMILY TIES IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE - In as much as we know that the visa officers are not custodians of knowledge, you need to provide sufficient ties that can compel your return back home like : Landed properties, business assets, investments, shares certificates etc. Go further by listing out the obligations you've here in Nigeria which you can't abandon for a foreign education. While doing this, provide documentations to support your claims. 3-) CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION - Talk more on the experience you have gained so far in your current employment and how it's translated to your intended program. Mention your duties at your place of work that have triggered your passion to further your studies abroad. Tender documents like employment letters, introductory letter, payslips slips, etc... in support of your employment status. 4-) Furthermore, pick out some points raised by the Visa officer from the GCMS notes, discuss about them and provide brief explanation. I would be grateful if you reconsider my application and permit me to study Masters in Computer Sciences at the University of British Columbia. Thank you for your time and reconsideration. Your's Faithfully, Mightyokwy I hope this gives you an insight of what you seek. All the best! |
olaxmatic07:olaxmatic07, The properties which you intend selling, will the funds be sufficient to cater for your first year tuition and living expenses in Canada? As a Canada study visa candidate, you're meant to show proof of financial sufficiency for your first year of studies in Canada without working and no recourse to public funds. By doing so, the consular officer will also check the source of income and the possiblity of funding for future years of study in Canada. At this juncture, you will need a guarantor that will stand to provide strong financial backing for your proposed 5- years program(Bsc Civil Engineering) in Canada. As an International Student, you're entitled to work 20hours per week during school hours and 40hours during school breaks mainly towards the spring/summer. Working and paying for your tuition, as well as your living expenses while in Canada as an international student is very difficult. I would rather say it's impossible, considering that you're heading for a lucrative undergraduate course in civil engineering. You will always need continued financial support from your guarantor at least to for your tuition, while you handle the rest of the expenditures yourself like.. Housing, feeding, transportation and taxes etc.. Be guided properly that getting a job as new timer (fresher) is also very difficult, in as much as most employers in Canada require employees with Canadian working experience. Many students stay up to 6-12months prior to securing a job in Canada. Therefore, don't have the mindset that once you arrive Canada, you can get a job straight up and commence work immediately. Now to the aspect of staying back after studies. After successful completion of your degree program in Canada, you will be eligible for the pgwp program (post graduate work permit), this allows you to stay back and work legally without restrictions as a foreign graduate in Canada, while making plans for your permanent residence. All the best! |
