I was denied visa telling me that I don't have legitimate business purpose in Canada after receiving the appointment letter for conference
It's quite unfortunate to hear your visa was rejected. It may also interest you to know that the discussions on this thread are based strictly on Canada study visa and not Visiting/Business Visa. I will advise you redirect your query to this group VIST/TOURIST VISA THREAD, as they will be in the right position to assist you in your next visa reapplication.

Is there any implication if you link your paper application to online to track the process. It’s getting close to a month since I did medical. And the status shows that I passed medical.
No implications! Follow this step-by-step procedure to LINK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE

Please has anyone ever received biometrics validation mail, and did it come after medical request or before medical request?
Most times it comes after medical request FLASH BACK. Majority of persons that got it before medical request were rejected. So, cases differs! Pray harder!

Hello Everyone. i want to apply for a 2nd masters, however, i heard that, if you have more than 5 years education gap, you might be rejected visa. i had my b.sc in 2001 and my masters was in 2012. Does this mean that, the V.O can refuse me student visa because of the gap?Though, i have work experience to show for it.
songozi,

Why second Master's degree instead of a PhD to show academic progression? The possibility of you getting an approval boils down to the rationality level of your SOP. Well, there are different ways you can adopt to convince the visa officer that you're truly a bona-fide applicant. Assuming that your first Master's program in Nigeria was a course based and your proposed masters in Canada a research based program, this will be logical to convince the VO. First, you can tell the visa officer that a research based Master's is what you need at this point in time as you intend furthering for your PhD in the nearest future and only a research based Master's can aid this. Secondly, You can make reference to the dearth of the unqualified lecturers in Nigerian institutions which you plan to occupy upon your return home and continue making conscious contributions to your society. Furthermore, elucidate in detail that you've been in gainful employment for the past 6 years and now travelling to Canada to advance your career prospects, better yourself and help the future of your home country. Also, your long and short term after study plan must be well demonstrated.

I drop my pen! Good luck!

Dear All,

Please I need your advise.
I applied for Canada student visa in August 2018 but visa officer said he/she is not sure I will return to Nigeria after my study.
I was to study 8months program.
Below are the little info about mu application.
I am on paid job(employee) and I have family business that is being run by myself and my wife.(Genuine)
I submitted below documents along with receipt for full tuition fee.
1. Consent letter from my wife
2. Cover letter from myself
3. Certificate of incorporation from family business
4. Tenancy agreement on two acres of land owned by my wife and myself.
5. Survey plan on house owned by us (No C of O yet)
6. Family dependents are 3 my wife and 2 kids.
7. Introductory letter from my employer
8. 3 statement of accounts(my salary account, family savings account and family business account)
I have deferred my admission and I need to reapply with full force. Please I need your contributions on what was missing in the application.
I will appreciate all your contributions
treeofhelp,

You've a very good profile that can land you a TRV approval. It seems like you didn't write convincingly to why you're travelling to Canada to undertake your proposed program. Your home ties to Nigeria how was it addressed in your SOP? Did you list out the above documents (landed properties, and registered Bussiness) and explain in detail how those properties would induce your return after studies? Did you also let the visa officer know that you're leaving your beloved family behind and will be coming back to reunite with them?,. I am very much interested in your next application, your chances of getting approval is high.

Have you being called for medicals? It appears that your application has been finalised long ago and a decision made on it. But, a decision hasn't been communicated on your online MyCic account. A friend of mine requested for his application to be withdrawn and after few days he got an approval. I hope the same applies to you too.

"""Dear Henry,

You will be notified via your online account once a decision has been reached.

In order to ensure we provide the highest level of customer service to all clients, we are unable to continue responding to enquiries on this case.

Why this so much delay after medical passed

Your passport request is close. Do as instructed by some persons here that you should order your CAIPS file. It will speed up your application processing and a decision communicated.

Thank you bro. How is your application going? Any news? Had a crazy exams on the 5th. Studying for another on the 14th. You will get to Canada man. Don't worry! How's my shithole country doing? Frank, runaway from that dead zone. See Una president de struggle with waec result, and he still wants to rule. Please runaway!!! Nigeria is dead!!!
LOL grin this Guy! You don't seize to amaze me with your detestable field of vision about our dear country, Nigeria. Even though we are all travelling to Canada to acquire quality education, advanced knowledge and be useful to ourselves. Let's also remember our origin and our beloved ones (parent's and siblings) whom we are leaving behind and are looking up-to us. Nigeria is the best place to invest when you must have successfully made a good living and secured a well paid job in Canada. It's grief-stricken that we are being governed by bad leaders who are only eager to grasp opportunities for their betterment and not for the masses. As for the incumbent President, I don't see him ruling this country for the second time. He has proved himself as an incompetent leader, who can't take Nigeria to the ladder of success and we can't move forward with such kind of person on seat. Hence, he doesn't fit in as a president and must be voted out. In respect to my application, it's moving on well. I wonder why it's taking them so long to make a decision. Nevertheless, there is a huge progress. Thanks for the kind wishes my bro, and I hope to be there with you guys soon. I wish you the very best in your ongoing exams. Stay safe Bro!

Hello Peeps, Just stumbled on this. This are the list of accredited Physicians by CIC. Children Practice isnt there again. What happens to peeps that have already done their medicals there ?
Those that completed their medicals with children's practice in the past won't be affected because the hospital accreditation was still valid as at then and CIC are fully aware of this and won't pose to be a problem. Therefore, anyone that has undergone a medical exam with them recently (this month) after they lose their accreditation will be affected, that's the more reason I decided to share this info on this reputable platform for the benefit of others.

For those that were called for medicals recently or plan going for an upfront medicals, your best bet will be IOM Abuja or Lagos, as Q life hospital is fully booked till February 2019.

I wish everyone the best in their various applications.

Hello Honourable Men and Women. Greetings to you all.

I will like to bring to your notice that Children Practice Ikoyi, Lagos is no longer among the accredited medical panel physician's by CIC. Their accreditation is pending until the purchase of all newely required medical laboratory equipments prior to the conducting of medical exam again. If you've completed your medical exam with them in the past, count yourself lucky. I thought to share this vital information with you all. Do have a brilliant weekend.
