Is there anyone else having this problem? Last month I tried to top up my Stanbic mutual fund but the money kept bouncing back after two days, I tried it three times and it was the same problem.
Two days ago I tried to top up again and I just received my money back this evening.
The easiest way of toping up with them is to do a direct transfer to the fund bank account (e.g Account Name: StanbicIBTC/ First Trustees Guaranteed Investment Fund - Bank: Stanbic IBTC- Account Number: 9202475343). Then in the Narration/ Payment details/Reason for payment space, you indicate your own mutual fund account number and name. I have done this twice this week and my account was credited without hassle.

Please between FBNquest and investmentone which one is better in terms of customer service, interest rate etc. I want to open one of the above because I no longer understand Stabicibtc fund managers. I know treasury bill rate is almost none existence but how can they keep crediting my account with less and less interest no matter how much I top up? The daily interest is approximately 1.7% sad Please has anyone else noticed this?
Most of the time there is no visible between in interest because their MMF rates especially is determined by Treasury bill. Treasury is now below 1.00%. In the alternative you can move your money to equity fund. That's where I think will returns will be fair now but with that; you will need to be constantly on guard as even the capital is not guaranteed when it starts it's downward movement.

No, it will not. As long as Nigeria practices liberal democracy or any form of political ideological rule, there will be dissension regardless of how well the country is run in the views of majority international objective and independent observers.

What we need in Nigeria is a culture of political critiquing that focuses on governance, party polices, aims achievement, superstructure etc but that does not insult, abuse or threaten Nigeria and Nigerians.

I remember the day Prof. Ijaya tore my crazy jean right in front of the whole class (200L days). The jean tore to an extent my pant can be seen, as per rugged guy I just walk out jeje climb bike along the second guy...I still don't know why I can't hate Prof.Ijaya after tearing my Jean...I too like that man.
You can't hate him because deep down in your mind you know he was trying to make you appear responsible even dough you wish otherwise.

Oga, have you ever seen the audited reports of Jaiz Bank and Providus Bank in the newspapers? What about Heritage Bank? Don’t they receive deposits and funds from the members of the public? Why don’t you go to them to demand their audited reports and see if security men no go throw you out inside dirty smelling gutter? Zenith Bank is a publicly listed company and that is why it must publish its annual reports for the members of the public. Privately held banks must file their reports to the regulators but not to the members of the public. A whole billionaire entrepreneur and serial investor like you should know that na undecided.

For your info, I have never invested in any forex scheme and will never invest in them as I do not believe in forex trading as an investment. So don’t even come at me with that crap.
You missed it. Jaiz Bank is a publicly listed company their audited reports must be public for all to see. For Providus Bank, the people (the investors) that have something to loose there must have a way access to their audited reports if and when they so desire to be able to act when need

Banks customers these days does not loose money. The worst that has happened since Prof Charles Soludo's era at the CBN till date is another bank taking over with the the depositors money intact. The losers are mostly the shareholders/ the business owners.

Financial institutions (Banks) in Nigeria today can merge or get acquired by their peers if they are to go insolvent. They can also be taken over by AMCOM, get some money injected into them and make them a going concern before selling it again. AMCOM takes over the management of their assets and liabilities. They is also a maximum insurance of N500,000 for the bank customers incase anything happens.

Customers are different from shareholders/owners of the Investment. That a customer fixed money, request for loan or asset financing from the bank does not make him a shareholder in them.

With Ponzi, the highest regulation their agents can boast about is mostly registration of company with CAC. That's is not tenable when it comes to Financial Institutions in Nigeria. When the bubble burst, the customer money goes. Unfortunately, customers too are seeing themselves as shareholders whereas they are not. Nothing protects a customer in Ponzi. No known access to take over because at best they only open one shop in Lagos, Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano; furnish them well to convince customers and when their target is met, they stop going there.

They was no name they didn't call SEC. The slogan was "is it your money"? They further told people that the government and the people trying to educate them are jealous of them.

Their paid agents attacked everyone that dared to have a contrary opinion. Just like it is happening on this thread now.

Eventually, everything went south then the Nigerian Mavrodi disappeared with their pay.

Good morning,

I need clarification on the above topic.
Under normal circumstances, a pregnant woman whether married or unmarried is not supposed to be camped because of the rigorous activities in the camp. However, these days people are now being allowed. Not to seriously partake anyway but she can get some form of exemption from the camp activities then go to her PPA and finish the remaining after camp.

Why are you defending MBA Forex??

If you are cashing out from it and not working with them.. Why should Ahib comment vex you

I've seen how a whole lot of strange monikers in that MBA thread are always quick to insults whenever someone asks a question about them
That is the modus operandi of all Ponzis and their promoters in Nigeria. They insult you to get angry and leave the thread to allow them perpetrate the scam.

emmanuelewumi:
Just don't like the way some of the promoters or people who are on the payroll of such schemes attack those who are trying to educate the JJC about the dangers of such Investments
The attack is to get you off their back because the knowledge you try to impart in the JJCs will equip and make them not fall prey. Have you forgotten how the promoters of MMM came all out to attack everyone back then? Even try to attack statements from CBN ..their usual slogan was "is it your money"? They also kept saying the government is envious of them because they were doing what the government could not do. People that didn't listen were scammed and the rest is history.

Some businesses never recover from civil unrest like this. Worse for anyone that took loan, that will be the end.

Those supporting crisis only have to look at how prosperous Libya once was and where it is today.
This has been my major worries since the beginning of the protest. The innocent will suffer it more. The spill of effect will be much. Somebody has to pay for all the public properties destroyed if the government decide to replace them and that somebody eventually will be everybody even though everybody did not partake in the disruction. The provider of good and services would be taxed and the cost will be transferred back to the consumer.

However, on the side of private business owners that their businesses were destroyed it is a total setback especially the one man businesses amongst them.

Eventually many protesters will discover that they were used but then the did had already been done.

For those abroad, there are safe but they still have relatives. For us at home, let us all brace up anyone can get caught up in the situation as things are now getting out of hands especially in Lagos.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 12:11pm On Oct 15, 2020
Firstly, I blame SARS and the police authority for acting out of line and for not addressing these the issues with SARS till it got out of hand. Their misbehaviours, unwholesomeness and the lack of decisive action against them, as and when due created the avenues for some political jobbers to advantage of.

SARS misbehaviours have been around for a while and something should have been done about it but it wasn't. That does not mean the protest itself is about police brutality as it is being presently potrayed.

Before I proceed further, I will like to say that any political aspiration that has something to offer to the people would not have to create any form of unrest to distract and discredit the present leadership to use that means to convince people.

I see a particular pattern with what happened after presidential broadcast on January 1st, 2012. These set of politicians knew that the masses have issues with government increasing the fuel price. The Government then has its own share of the blame by not engaging/convincing the masses well enough before the removal of that subsidy. However, all the political elite knew it was the right to do but those against the divide used the situation to their advantage. Today, much is fuel? We all know the answer.

Unfortunately, the present government benefited from that pattern. Now, people are not favoured with the present arrangement again then they decide to look for another area affecting the masses to leverage on. Unfortunately for SARS their misbehaviours have gone unchecked for a while; Committing all sorts of atrocities because they are privileged to serve the nation. They become the avenue to use this time.

I believe the country has many areas of disadvantages that could be used as point of campaign. " Every country has." So why always inciting the public?

I just wished this protest was actually borne out of the masses being tired of things not working right and correcting the wrongs rightly observed. However, it may not be clear to the ordinary eyes now but eventually the masses will discover that the organisers and profiteers of the protest are just used them in preparation for their own ambition for the next election year.

When a married ex doesn't respond to your messages but constantly views your social media pages.

It is confusing at times. We didn't break up but got separated cos he traveled abroad and we lost contact.

When he came back I was married but we couldn't see each other, he travelled back and marries a South African lady.

But the few communications we had before he started ignoring me was as if he was angry, every conversation must be diverted to marriage, something like this, : am I the father of your children, you dey vex for me I give you belle? You didn't leave a marker when you had the chance. Etc.

I told him that am sensing he is angry with me but he said not at all. Am married too. He is my first love from secondary school.

We are from the same village. Is this the attitude of a friend?
From the example of conversation you give in your post. You have been begging him for money.
I believe he is not disposed to giving you that money you are asking for

Shares or any other form of investment bro
DexterousOne:
Well
First of all, you will need to do some self education
Reading up on how shares work and how relevant ratios help in stock analysis

That done
You open a brokerage account (think of it as a bank account, but instead of storing cash per se, you are storing your stocks in it)

Morgan Capital/ Meristem is what I would recommend

Then you do some more research into the companies you might be interested in (Bloomberg has good material's)
Then lastly define your strategy and goals

Are you a long term investor who want to reap the benefits of long term cashflow from dividends as well as Capital appreciation?

Or are you a trader who want to profit from the short to mid term oscillations in the market ?

Personally I'll advice to be the first, but the choice is up to you....

Cheers

You & emmasoft are misleading people here. To liquidate my fund your company said 3 working days. I have filled redemption form since last week Wednesday, today is Tuesday almost one week yet no response from anyone in your office. I contacted emmasoft but he is non chalant

The worst is the 7.5% they are promising which am not sure it is true as my online account is showing different thing. But will confirm this after full liquidation
I will not say there are misleading people. I will say they are doing a very good PR/marketing job for their organisation but their organisation is not always acting along.

Of the 4 Mutual Funds (StanbicIBTC, United Capital, Investment-One and FBNQUEST; ) I have dealt with; Investment one had the worst withdrawal process. My Vantage Dollar Fund Investment with them back then for 9 months yeilded nothing as returns.

A marketer can only market. The bulk is on the operations, values and ethics of the company.

The year will end in 81 days time, what are the investment mistakes we made in 2020? What are the deals, investments and businesses that made good money for us in 2020?
My mistakes/missed opportunities for 2020 plenty...

Firstly, my Tashere funds were majorly in TB; invested in batches. Instead of terminating when all signs of devaluation were showing, I let them mature on their own.

Secondly, investing in Sukuk 03 less than I could because I felt 7 years is too long to just tie down fund. So I just invested something I could do with out.

Thirdly, not buying enough USD @ N358 when all signs showed that everything was going to skyrocket. Only to discover that after 3 months I would have cash with at least N100 per USD.

My final investment mistake of 2020 was selling my tashere; Zenith, UBA, GTB and Wapco early before it started moving. I have never bought Zenith Bank shares before 2020 but after the dividend payment someone on NSEMPA; announced that it was about its IPO priced. That raised my antenna so I got a little around N10.75.

I sold that Zenith at about N13,50, My UBA averaged about N4.50 was sold for N5.70, GT of N17 was sold for N21, and Wapco averaged N10.90 sold at about N13,00 amongst others.

It's all part of the learning process.

She does not have the understanding. That crowd with kiddwaya is like the crowd that follows the politicians to rally. They do not come in appreciation and love for what politicians do or have been doing. They go only when they are assured of something or they already got something. N500 each or a take away pack of rice. So there is no love and appreciation there, just rented or give away seekers.

The adults you are talking about (especially above 50) are the ones that grew up with the colonial masters, many of them still have a responsible streak in them, it is the present day youth that I fear the most, those ones want to earn without working or believe in rituals as a form of wealth creation rather than hardwork.
Most of the adults we complain about still have the concept of hardwork pays
Seriously, I wish I had a solutiion
This is where I would come in. With all due respect to the generation of the adults we are referring to now. They caused the whole mess we are in as a country today. Especially the educated ones among them, after enjoying free education and juicy jobs. They felt their children must enjoy same so they try to do everything by all means to make it happen. Even when there are not fit/merit the position.

The people before them at least did something, they fought for independence even though I feel we were not ripe for it when it happened. Now the generation of 50 and above adults what value have they inculcated in their immediate generation after them? No value at all.

They messed everything up.
