Those girls will be made to stand for the entire workday (apparently you cant learn while sitting), some are sent home to do house chores. After all that stress, madam will charge them an arm and a leg for graduation. If only these girls knew that there are design institutes that cost around what they were charged and they won't be treated like slaves. Most people no longer learn these apprenticeship anymore. This is tech we should take incredibly serious because it can even be used in many urban areas to identify individuals according to their profile.
It can be used for vehicle identification as well in case of theft , violations, security etc... I'm also in the tech field so I know the effort he had put in to achieve this but the truth have to be said, Nigeria government does not need any AI to identify bandits and terrorist. They (the government) are the terrorist and bandits, and I mean this literally. The federal government knows every terrorist, bandits and smugglers that are terrorising Nigeria on a large scale. If the government does not know you as a terrorist then it means you just entered the business or you are inconsequential and are expendable. |

oz4real83: As good as this sounds, the recruitment procedure must be given due diligence, state police must not be treated the same way some states have been treating state vigilante agencies where cultists loyal to the ruling party are the personnel or workforce , protecting the people and properties should be the central theme across board, not cult-wars . I'm afraid, this is likely going to be the scenario in a place like Edo State for instance where even the deputy governor is a cultist. Worse still is that the governor's will not recruit enough personnel but they will recruit enough to manipulate elections. This so called state police will be rubbish. I'm just hoping the state police are not given the powers to prosecute otherwise we are about to witness another satanic era in Nigeria. |

Family › Re: I Feel Hatred Towards My Husband by gaddafe(m): 5:39pm On Sep 26, 2023 |
PaigeTaylor: Hello house. I'm too angry to type. Been married for 10 years with a kid. 10 long hard years.
He always assures me and portrays himself as a faithful man. I have never suspected him of committing adultery, not because he's not capable, but because I wanted to give him benefit of doubt. I wanted trust to be in my marriage because I'm extremely faithful to him. He disvirgined me on my wedding night.
But he does A LOT of flirting on social media. Passwords his phone from me. This has caused a lot of problems between us, almost leading to marriage break up many times, until people advised me to stay off his phone, which I did. I lost my job since February and have been unable to get another one.
Now I'm learning some soft skills online, using my phone but it got to a point where I couldn't proceed because it's an old phone. I told him yesterday morning that I would love to use his phone, he said ok when he returned from work.
Only for me to go to his browser to enter a website address, I started seeing past searches from him. LOVE SMS YOU CAN SEND TO UR CRUSH LOVE MESSAGES YOU CAN SEND TO UR EX GIRLFRIEND.
The one that shook me to the bone is, HOW TO SEDUCE MY SISTER INLAW. She came to visit two weeks back. She is very beautiful and plump and he has always told me he had a crush on her. So I know. And those internet searches are RECENT.
I feel so disgusted by his presence now, so much that I don't allow his body to touch mine on bed. I feel for my daughter, she's just 6 years and I don't have any money to take care of her. He doesn't take care of me either, but I have put up with him, I have struggled and suffered with him all these years. Only to see this on his phone. I'm beyond depressed.
He's talking of us celebrating our 10 years anniversary by December and thinking of inviting few family and friends. BUT I'M NOT INTERESTED. The love is dead. I've been played all along.
HOW WILL I HANDLE THIS? Compared to what I've faced in marriage, I will say this is a non issue. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: See Why My Oga Sacked Me This Morning. Did I Do Wrong? by gaddafe(m): 7:43pm On Sep 15, 2023 |
Standstrong: I picked up the gate man job ending of last month out of no other better options at the moment and seeing what economic hardship was making me pass through, especially waking up with no hope of where food is going to come from, make i no go steal, God abeg.
I have been doing the job well. Yesterday, while strolling around the area, I heard one man saying he is looking for someone to cut grasses in his compound. Being something I can do to collect the money to help myself as i was hungry and peniless, I met the man and told him i can do the work and we agreed on N15k.
So as my oga went to work, i rushed down to do the work. While I was on it, i dont know what brought my oga back to the house and he didnt see me at the post.
He called me and asked me where i am. I rushed down to the house. I told him i got a small contract of 15k to cut grass for someone in the neighbourhood.
The man got so angry on why I left his duty post to go do another job. Worse was that the person i did the job for was more like his enemy, as i later learnt they've not been in good terms.
He sacked me instantly. I begged this man as a human being to please forgive but he refused to consider me again. He even said, "go before you go and collect poison from my enemy to come and kill me".
Please what is my business with whatever fight the two of them are fighting?
That was how I lost the small job i just got 3 weeks ago and now back with nothing. He should have paid me for the 3 weeks right away but he didnt, rather he said i will find a way to pay you for the services so far.
Please, the country is already very hard and all I needed was something that could give me immediate money to survive on first.
Sad how struggling citizens are being badly treated everyday even while legitimately hustling for survival. How he will pay me for the 3 weeks, he didn't say it.
It's painful but it is not the end of the world.
I will make it too. Amen. I'm not sure you understood the job description before picking it up. How can you say you are doing your job diligently and the same time leave your duty post. It doesn't make sense. You were not trained before getting the job. I once worked as a security man to a popular bishop in Edo State. The man really liked me because of how I took the job seriously. The day I left the job, the second day I drove to the premises in my father's clean car and they were shocked I was from a decent family. They probably thought I was hungry. Learn from this experience. You were wrong 100%. If I were your oga I will not pay the 3 weeks because I will claim you had probably been leaving your duty post for other side hustle. |

May God help us. I don't think this is the same in every state because here in Benin city, it is difficult to get a teacher talk more of using them anyhow. So using them anyhow is out of the question. You disrespect them they leave. If you want to teach, do part time teaching. The holiday lesson is requested by the parents not the school. This issue has been overflogged here on Nairaland. Most parents that go to work don't feel comfortable leaving the kids either with the uncles at home or let the kids roaming in the area so they opt for holiday lesson.
