Committees to be reconstituted headed by the Honourable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Nse Ntuen and adjourned till Tuesday 4th, December, 2018. It's. Very shocking to read some of your comments and you want the best for this country, you sit in your various homes and take sides with some we all know that is wrong and at the same time you all want a better lives for yourself. Yes PDP it we all kicked against it, so we all want it to be a way of life now in Nigeria, one Niger republic will take over Nigeria and some of us will not see anything wrong with. Whatever that's going on in Akwa ibom state is wrong and should be condemned by both parties, it's wrong and we should not see it as a way of doing things. PMB contested elections for how many times before he won, so if you don't win today you will certainly win tomorrow. Its not do or die |

16Ebiscoo: The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Monday sacked the Managing Directors of three television and radio stations in the state.
According to Wike, they were dismissed because of their failure to attend a meeting organized by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) led by the Chairman, John Momoh.
The stations whose MDs were sacked are: the Rivers State Television, Radio Rivers and Garden City Radio.
Governor Wike said he was embarrassed that none of the state’s owned broadcasting parastatals honoured the meeting.
He also charged BON to always stand on the side of the people and speak the truth concerning the issues in the country at all times.
BON is in the state for its 71st General Assembly meeting, which will be focusing on raising the bar in the digitalization of the broadcast industry.

PDP is dead in Imo, the further factionalization of the party between Anyanwo and Ihedioha would finally bury the party in the state. JosEast: Sen. Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, said that the presidency had directed All Progressives Congress (APC), candidates should base their campaigns on issues in the 2019 elections.
Enang said this during a church service at Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ibiaku Parish in Ibiono, Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom on Sunday.
He said that the APC-led government would do real campaign without rancour or politics of bitterness during its campaign in the country.
“Let us go and do real campaign, speaking clean words, marketing what we have done, saying what we will do, saying what we have done and saying what we will do.
“We are not going to beat people to vote for us, we are going to beg people to vote for us.
“We will not tell lies of what we have not done but tell the people what we have done so that they can judge us in the elections,” he said.
Enang reassured the people that there would be no violence in the 2019 general elections, saying that the people should go out enmass and vote for candidates of their choice.
“There will be no violence in 2019 general elections, we should listen to values and virtues of each of the candidates and political parties and vote according to our judgement.
“The APC-led government has requested that they should vote candidates in all the elections,” Enang said.
He restated that APC government had sustained peace and development in the country.
Enang said that President Buhari was not religiously bias but a lover of peace and unity.
Also, Mr Edet Ikotidem, candidate of APC, Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency in 2019 general elections, said he was in the church to seek God directive and to commit his campaign project to God.
He said that his ambition was not for selfish quest to amass public resources but burning desire to provide reasonable service through novel leadership schemes.
“I started my journey with God and I will not complete my journey except I consecrate myself to God,” he said.

babadee1: There is nothing fascistic by definition about this government. Even during the military era we didn't have fascism then not to talk of now. Nigeria is too diverse a country to ever come under fascism. It requires a willing subjugation of the citizenry to one common identity defined by the ruling authorities. It's impossible in Nigeria for that to happen. You can claim Buhari is dictatorial and you may have a point, but fascism has a very precise definition. Fascism made Germany a Nazi country under Hitler. It made Italy a nationalist country under Mussolini. But Nigeria is still Nigeria under Buhari we have not assumed one singular national identity. How can you say Nigeria is still Nigeria under PMB, have you forgotten the infamous 97% and 5% , it all starts gradually. |

Gen. Buratai by now should have brief the media and stop acting as if we are in 1900.
PMB need to bring new men to head our military. We need new squad with new formation. They should bring those soldiers with padlock in their mouth, they normally deploy to the south anytime there uprising, it is a shame they had to come up with such when they should in the command center planning an major onslaught against them |

Politics › Re: METELE ATTACK: Poor Orientation, Not Lack Of Weapons Was The Major Culprit by gare(f): 2:04pm On Nov 25, 2018 |
PatrickOkunima: First, may the souls of our soldiers who lost their lives at Melete find eternal peace. Their sacrifices will not go in vain. It is also my prayer that the Almighty God console their families.
I have watched the footage of the recent attack on our soldiers, as well as the previous ones and most commentators, including civilians and soldiers (retired and serving) attribute the heavy casualty to lack of equipment.
Having served in the military, I have a first-hand experience of how sophisticated hardware can be a morale booster to a soldier. There are other factors that affect morale which I am not here to discuss. So I know what I'm saying when I say lack of equipment is not the major problem.
All the Boko Haram videos I watched, I observed a common trend - Our soldiers did not put in adequate resistance or did not resist at all. That is "unsoldierlike" (if there's any word like that).
As a soldier, you hope for the best and prepare for the worst. What do I mean? I have seen soldiers, Nigerian soldiers who served 35 years, and throughout their service, the only time they fired a rifle was at the range. They never had the opportunity to shoot at a real enemy. On the other hand, we have soldiers who in less than 3 months of passing out from the training school, found themselves under enemy attack and lost his lives in the process. You see, best case scenario and worst case scenario. Everyone hopes for the best, but if you are not prepared for the worst, you have no business being a soldier - That's by the way.
People may have different opinions as to why the casualty was high - over 70 as reported, but for me, lack of orientation was the problem. An average person believes that the best way to escape danger is to run. That may be true in some cases, but in the war fronts, nothing makes you more vulnerable than running away from the enemy. Let me rephrase, the easiest way to die in the war fronts is to run away from the enemy. If you're a soldier reading this, please take note. If you're not a soldier and you have a friend or brother who is, please tell him or her.
Let's try to look at it this way. Every other factor remain constant, assuming all the soldiers at Melete base are 100 in strength, and were attacked by Boko Haram (500 of them). If each of these soldiers had stood their grounds and engaged these terrorist, do you think we would have had up to 70 casualties? No, I very much doubt that. The worst case would have been 15 - 20 deaths.
The probability of me losing my life:
If I do not fight the enemy is 70/100 = 0.7
If I fight the enemy is 20/100 = 0.2
With this mindset, every soldier will prefer to engage the enemy and increase his chance of survival.
"If the enemy attacks, what and what do I do to survive?" That's the question I ask myself each time I find myself in a volatile environment.
Then, I outline my plans:
1. If I'm not armed, I dash down to the armory.
2. There won't be need for 1, If I have a weapon.
3. I Take cover.
4. I cock my rifle and open the safety catch (I do not put my rifle on rapid)
5. I take position, aiming the barrel of my rifle in the direction I anticipate the enemy to come from.
6. I place my finger on the trigger, waiting for the enemy.
7. I scan for the enemy, and pull the trigger as soon as I have a clear shot.
NOTES: There are some steps I did not highlight, like charging my magazine and loading my weapon. But one thing that is not in my plan, is to turn my back at the enemy and run away from battle.
And the only conditions in which I can surrender are:
1. I run out of ammo.
2. My weapon got jammed and there's no time for me to fix it.
Though I did not see a lot of action, but the few I saw, the only reason I survived is because I engaged the enemy.
The Nigerian Military should put it into the skulls of our soldiers that when they refuse to engage the enemy, they suffer more casualties. They should also conduct simulation exercises for the men (If they have not been doing that already) before operations and in preparedness for an attack. They should not assume that everyone knows what to do in the event of an attack.
Please share, you may be saving a life. Bros you are Joining the Fight against Boko haram I will pay for your services. |

axcerin: A Dallas woman who was on life support after receiving a cheap nose job in a Mexico hospital in October died on Saturday, her family said.
Laura Avila, originally from El Paso but now living in Dallas, went to “Rhinocenter” surgery center in Cuidad Juarez on Oct. 30 to have work done on her nose, according to the family’s GoFundMe.
She never woke up.
“Without knowledge to her fiancé, Laura suffered a cardiac arrest for four minutes,” the GoFundMe said. “She was then placed into a medically induced coma to prevent further damage to her brain that was caused by the complications she experienced during anesthesia.”
On Saturday, her sister, Angie Avila, said her sister died at 8:30 Saturday morning after being in a coma for nearly a month.
“My heart aches, and I truly don’t know how or if I’ll ever overcome this pain,” Angie Avila wrote in a Facebook post.
After receiving the botched surgery in October, Laura Avila spent six days in an Intensive Care Unit in Mexico before being transferred to a hospital in El Paso. She was having seizures due to brain damage.
Only after Avila’s family paid the hospital bill in full in Mexico did her doctors grant her transfer to a hospital in El Paso, her family said on GoFundMe. They hired lawyers in Juarez to get Laura’s full medical records.
The family’s fundraiser for Avila had raised about $80,000 of its $150,000 goal as of Saturday afternoon. The family said $25,000 in medical costs was incurred in Juarez and the entire family has missed work for weeks to be with Avila.
