12Ebisco: Over 1000 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, have dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The defectors were received by the member representing Ajeromi/ Ifelodun Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Rita Odichimma Orji.
While receiving the defectors at the playground of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Ajegunle, the lawmaker assured them of full integration into the activities of the PDP.
She commended them for the courageous decision in leaving the APC.
“The party has failed to deliver on its promises to Nigerians. It is clear, beyond any reasonable doubt that since the inception of the APC-led administration, the nation has continued to grapple with loads of socio-economic and political problems.
“It is worrisome that today there is so much division in the country unlike before, while bloodletting and spates of killings of innocent Nigerians and other acts of violent crimes have become the order of the day, mainly due to the cluelessness and leadership failure of the APC-led federal government,” she said.
In her remarks, Mrs. Maina, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BOT), charged the defectors to be loyal to the party and to work in synergy with other members to ensure the victory of the party in coming elections.
In his response, leader of the defectors and a former chieftain of APC in the area, Chief Tajudeen Balogun, said that they were forced to dump APC over inability “to implement its promises to bring the much talked about “change” to impact on the lives of Nigerians.

Politics › Re: Why Buhari Deserves Second Chance – Amaechi by gare(f): 2:52pm On Sep 12, 2018 |
CROWNWEALTH019: The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said Nigerians will enjoy 24 hours power supply if President Muhammadu Buhari is given a second chance.
Amaechi also said the Buhari led administration has achieved a lot in security, road, fight against corruption.
The Minister also said the government is tackling killings associated with herdsmen
Amaechi disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday during an interactive session with the media.
Speaking on why Buhari and the APC government deserves second term, he said: “Nigerians have taught me a lesson I learnt in politics and that is why nothing bothers me again. The people praising you today, if you see them when you are out of power, you will be shocked. Those singing hallelujah and hosanna will still be the same people to shout crucify him tomorrow.
“We have done much more than transport. In terms of Corruption; this economy was a rent economy. Public money was spent anyhow and it was an economy that was not worked hard for. That is why you see politicians today very rich and one year after government, they are poor. They are like that because they don’t know how to manage the money.
“When Buhari came, he said no and that we cannot continue to spend anyhow. Buhari has not said people should not steal, he has rather kept quiet to see who can steal because there is a consequence for stealing.
“I don’t want to say it has stopped completely but it has reduced. Before, there were so many empty houses in Abuja. People were building and speculating that new politicians will come in and buy but we came in and could not buy because of the economy. So if you say Buhari has not done anything on corruption, you are being most unfair.
“Also, the 2016 budget was 6percent capita but we are doing 20 percent capita now. We are doing 80 percent recurrent and 20 percent capital. We believe that in the next two to three years, we will get to 30 percent capital and we will get there if we reduce the current expenditure and deal with wastage.”
He continued: “It is also unfair if Nigerians think the ministry of works is not working. The road to Bonny was abandoned after Obasanjo left government.
“The road was below N39bn but it is now N120bn. When I was Governor, I wrote to federal government under Jonathan that I wanted to do the road for N39bn but they didn’t reply me.
“My final year as governor, energy wrote that they will take care of 50 percent of the bill and I wrote again to the Federal Government but they didn’t reply because I was in APC. Now that the Federal government wants to do it, the cost is now N120bn.
“So, Buhari government is dealing with corruption, building roads. The worst roads in Nigeria used to be between Uyo and Calabar but it has been awarded.
“The road to Enugu too that people are complaining about, contractors are working on the roads already. The work may be slow but they are working. When we came oil was $28 per barrel and our budget was $35 and suddenly it dropped but the Minister of Budget managed it for us to survive. Now oil is $74 but we still have not reached $110. If we get to that, things will change rapidly. Also the Ilorin-Jebba road. So many roads have been awarded.
There is also an improvement in power. We have from 3000megawatt to 7000 but we are distributing 5000 because some of the Infrastructures are not in good state but we are slowly fixing them.
“The expectation is that it should be 24 hours power supply but there will still be a gap but if you give us a second term, that gap will be closed.”
On insecurity, he said: “There are improvement in security. When the president promised security; he was looking at Boko Haram. Boko Haram no longer have the power that they had then. Before we came, the situation was worse, churches were not safe but now you can go to church freely and nearly all the security agencies that had special protection have reduced their protection gates because fears have reduced.
“The threats which used to envelope the north has reduced and we are addressing the ones in Borno by the federal government unlike before where they will overrun villages and put their flags and say they own the villages.
“If you ask of our achievement, I think many people can attest to what we have done. People no longer go through rigorous searches before going into places.
“We have also done well with herdsmen. Herdsmen is a huge problem that started and we are facing them with the deployment of Army and the President also said that it is the right of Nigerians to enjoy peace and stability and hence the military must address all manner of insecurity to end the herdsmen attack.

Success100: The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, has urged Japan to follow in the footsteps of their Chinese counterpart, and partner Nigeria on concessioning loans.
Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport, stated this when he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan to promote infrastructure investment and continuing cooperative relationship between both countries.
Stating that the concessioning loan interest rate falls around 1.5 per cent, he said: “we will be glad if the Japanese government can come in as the Chinese government has come in”.
Amaechi signed the MoU with Japan’s State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Tsukasa Akimoto at the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, Akimoto, who was accompanied by Japan’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yutaka Kikuta, said: “As the State Minister in charge of infrastructure in Japan, I have been impressed that there is still a great deal of scope for Japan to co-operate on building the infrastructure in your country.
“As you all are aware, Your Excellency, Japan is putting in a great deal of emphasis on providing high quality infrastructure and in that respect, we are known in comparison to other countries such as China, Korea and European countries. If you look at the country’s cycle of infrastructure developed by the Japanese, ours is the most cost effective.
“You are aware that in the past, there has been much discussion of Japan’s cooperation with Nigeria in providing the other railway and development plan in Lagos Island, and we hope there will be more opportunities in the future for Japan to provide technical expertise and capacity building, and also to provide high quality infrastructure here in Nigeria.”

akelicious: Former governor of Kano State and Presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has dismissed the claim by President Muhammadu Buhari that All Progressives Congress, APC, defectors are weak.
Buhari on Tuesday while accepting the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest the 2019 presidential election said that those who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to other political parties, were the selfish and weakest members of the ruling party.
Buhari was quoted saying “The weakest whose sense of expectation do not align with our vision have exited our party.
“We now have a party of strong and patriotic people who are ready to work for a strong Nigeria.” Reacting to Buhari’s statement, Kwankwaso speaking through his Principal Secretary, Hajia Binta Spikin challenged Buhari to come plain and state names of defectors he was referring to. Spikin said Kwankwaso was neither weak nor selfish contrary to Buhari’s statement.
YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO BE PATIENT, IF YOU WANT TO BE PRESIDENT,IT IS NOT EVERYTHING YOU MUST RESPOND TO.
The statement read: “The President should have come plain so that we would know who exactly he was referring to. But my leader and the Rabi’u Kwankwaso that I know is not weak because his achievements are there to speak for him. “What he has been able to achieve in Kano in four years alone defines him as a strong, visionary, compassionate leader who knows what he wants and how to get it. “He is the only leader that I know who has been able to put Kano on a sound footing and erect infrastructure projects – over 6,000 of them between 2011 and 2015; they are there for you to touch, feel and use. A weak person cannot achieve that. “He cannot be selfish too because he remains the only governor of Kano who did not collect the security vote. The man’s cult-like followership is because he is strong and people know that he is not selfish, and he can deliver.”

Freetech: Hurray good news to the patriots. Here is the global rating of Nigeria economy so far so good in 2018.
A standing ovation for the wonderful team of PMB.
Forbes rates Nigeria as 2018 best economy in Africa -

Do you agree, please present your argument with facts and figures.
Before you begin to write consider the following points.
Technically this government have liquidated all the loans she took so far. Wait before you cry foul. Nigeria total debt @ December 2014 was $67bill this converted to Naira @ N179/$ is N12Trn. However this same amount converted at current exchange rate @ N310/$ is N20Trn. Now add the 5 months salary borrowed to pay civil servants, N200bill subsidy debt and N1trn owe local contractors.
Considering the fact that current debt profile stood at N22Trn @ N310/$ is just $70bill. This is the fact the opposition doesn't want you to know and the reason they only quote Nigeria debt in Naira to deceive lazy Nigeria who cannot think on their own.
While one will forgive not so intelligent Dino, it's highly pathetic that Peter Obi also follow up on this lie.
Below you will also find Nigeria foreign reserve journey to date
Finally, talking about resources available. Comparing the first 3 years of Gej and PMB, Gej made $393bill while PMB made just $96bill. According to the link below Gej depleted foreign reserve to $29bill and PMB grew it to $45bill. You know what they both did with the resources.
Are you still not convinced, take a trip to Venezuela, or Agentina where interest rate is 60%, Greece, Zimbabwe and I'm sure how mismanaged economy look like

The order according to a DSS source was swift. The portrait of the new boss took less than 24hours to be mounted at the offices.
Along with the signal, the President issued an indefinite blanket embargo on media coverage of the DSS activities. The embargo also halted all communications to the media on DSS activities until further notice until the perceived volatility caused by the sudden sack of the former DSS boss is considered quelled.
The sudden sack of the former boss of the DSS by the then acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo had sent uncontrolled shockwaves through the hierarchy of the DSS and across the top officers at the presidency. The shockwaves quickly turned to a pressure to return the former DSS boss. Among those spearheading the show of force to return the sack DSS boss was the embattled chief of staff, Abba Kyari. - http://247ureports.com/abdulsalam-intervenes-buhari-confirms-new-dss-boss-places-embargo-on-media/ OK THAT IS WHY SENATOR TWITTER AN DICKSON WENT TO SEE ABDUSALAMI, IT IS CLEAR NOW |

Politics › Re: Ojukaye’s Court Victory Has Ended Wike/abe’s Conspiracy Against Rivers People by gare(f): 2:03pm On Sep 10, 2018 |
kcmichael: …Describes the adoption of the Indirect Primaries by the Rivers APC as a masterstroke and the death knell to this devious plot
The recent perpetual injunction granted by an Abuja High Court, affirming the Ojukaye Flag-Amachree as the undisputed chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state has been described as the end of the conspiracy to stall the party’s progress.
A chieftain of the APC in the state, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, who noted this in a statement he signed and circulated in Port Harcourt on Monday, also thanked God for putting the enemies of the party and those of the leader of the party in the South-South, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to shame in Rivers state.
According to the party chieftain, plans were afoot by the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, and Senator Magnus Abe to create crisis for the APC in the state so that it would be difficult for the party to put itself together, put up a strong candidate, through whom the party can dislodge Wike from the Brick House next year.
“Governor Nyesom Wike knowing that his time as Governor of Rivers State is up collaborated with some elements within Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress to plot for the decimation and dismantling of APC so that he has an essay sail back to the Brick House come 2019”, he said.
“This plot that resulted to the formation or rather setting up of an illegal chapter of APC in Rivers State addressed as Magnus Abe chapter knowing very well that APC has a chapter well constituted after duly constituted Congress that brought up the authentic State Chapter with Ojukaye Amachree as State Chairman.
“The plot which will cause Governor Wike to be elected unopposed by 2019 while paving way for Senator Magnus Abe to take over the reins of governance of Rivers State come 2023.
“With an Abuja High Court 14 presided over by His Lordship, Hon. Justice A. O. Musa ruling on Tuesday granted an Order of Perpetual Injunction restraining the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the National Chairman, His Excellency (Comrade) Adams Oshiomhole (1st and 2nd Defendants) from ‘tampering with the mandates of the elected Officials/Delegates elected at the 1st Defendant’s Ward, Local Government and State Congresses in Rivers State on May 19, 20 and 21, 2018 respectively, either by nullifying, removing or in any way refusing to give effect to the outcome of the said congresses or by purporting to conduct another congress in respect of Rivers State.” have rendered Wike and Abe’s plot useless and worthless.
“With this affirmation by a competent court of jurisdiction it becomes imperative to formally declare the Abe’s chapter of APC in Rivers State not only as illegal but assemblage of law breakers that must be dismantled as a matter of urgency before they hatch another devious plot to make Rivers State a laughing stock”, the statement said.
Eze commended and congratulated Ojukaye Amachree and his Team for not only reviving the true spirit of APC but positioning it as the party to beat come 2019. For a very long time in the politics of Rivers State, Wike for the first time is at his wit end and confused on how to handle the twist that Ojukaye have brought to bear in the politics of Rivers State.
Eze congratulated the leadership of the Rivers State APC for adopting the indirect primaries in electing its candidates for the 2019 general elections. “Apart from saving cost, this strategy will save the party from the devious plot by Wike and Abe to flood the State with PDP elements from Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States to vote in Abe and his cohorts during the primaries to the detriment of the genuine party members”. The adoption of the indirect primaries is truly a masterstroke and death knell to this devious and wicked plot to deny the Rivers State chapter of APC credible representation during the 2019 general elections, he said.
Eze counsels his good friend, Prince Peter Odike who is being used as a scapegoat to act as an illegal Chairman of a none existing political structure which may lead him to have problems with the security agencies.
Eze finally reiterated that, “With three Senators in our kitty and with an international and well respected figure like Pastor Tonye Cole coming in to rescue Rivers State from the shackles of backwardness, the days of Wike as Governor of Rivers state are truly numbered. To the people of Rivers State, we need to celebrate and thank God for saving the State from the devious plot that would have caused the State more years of backwardness”, he said IS WIKE IN APC NOW, WHY ARE MENTIONING WIKE LIKE HE IS IN APC, CAN YOU SHOW US PROOF OF ALL YOU HAVE SAID OR YOU THINK ABE DOES NOT HAVE A MIND OF HIS OWN, APC YOU ARE FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO BUT LEAVE WIKE OUT OF IT, BY 2019 YOU WILL TEST WHO IS MORE POPULAR. BRINGING WIKE INTO YOUR INTERNAL ISSUES SHOWS THAT APC IS NOT ORGANISED, AND IF I WERE YOU GUYS YOU NEED TO FIND AWAY TO SETTLE WITH MAGNUS BEFORE 2019 BECAUSE AS IT IS OGONI VOTES IS GOING TO PDP, I DOUBT IF YOU GUYS IN APC CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE MAGNUS |
