BusinessRe: Learn Forex The Right Way And Make Money Consistently by Gbengageorge: 1:07am On Apr 12, 2020
The major problem people have in forex is how to avoid high impact news that can either make or mar your trade.

Meanwhile you haven't shown any evidence that you have mastered forex now, how will you convince anyone to learn from you.

chim14:
I dabbled into Forex and I kind of fell in love with it despite the risks involved. It has a way of developing your mind to think very broadly and analytically. You see a news you analyse the effect, if dollar will go up or down.

In Forex, nothing is impossible, you can take 2k and turn it to 5k or even more.

Alot of people are scared because of losses which is true, Losses are real, but the magnitude of the loss depends on a traders greed or knowledge. If your winning trades are more than your lossing trades you'll consistently make money overtime.

My real journey in forex started in 2018, I invested $200, and in like one week plus I turned it to $1003 dollars.

But then I didn't even understand forex, I was just doing guess work.

Something then in my mind said, "Withdraw $300 first" and continue trading with the rest.

I said for were am gonna turn this to $3000(This is mistake people make that make dem loss money) On one faithful day I lost the whole money cuz I took a very big risk on a trade hoping to make big money that day but it turned out, the trade went against me cuz I didn't understand the market condition for that day.

I was a novice then I didn't really understand how the forex worked, now I know better.

If you want to learn forex in a real practical way and grab a new valuable skill. Most importantly learn also to avoid what makes for losses

Not that you are still failing, there is something you are not getting right, even winners loses some times.

Acmepreneur:
Let me tell you another one
One of my teachers once told me I am olodo which means a dull brain person. I read read and read to proof him wrong during WAEC. I'm very brilliant truthfully, I just want to surprise all my teachers that thought I was dull because I was a new student in the school and very quiet, I'm not part of those stupid students always raising up their hands even if they don't know the answer, those I too know.
To continue my original story, I started reading late at night, morning and evening, I know all the chemistry laws, physics laws, I even did well in our physics mock exam, and our physics teacher was very surprised. I passed Jamb more than their best student, but I didn't tell anyone, in my mind, they will just hear I have gained admission, and be surprised.
My mother was so happy, I even wrote my WAEC and Neck very well, even Geography question came out and I saw it, its something I know before, I just glanced through again. Already calling myself a doctor, would spend all the night reading, finished Ababio chemistry, modern Biology, okeke physics, A-Z in English, and many English textbooks my parents bought for me. I started talking like a white person, British English.

But Alas, when WAEC Neco came out I failed woefully. Till now, I'm still failing in life. This is after 10years. Even my teachers that I wanted to surprise is dead.
This is the true story, no be all those Bollywood Yoruba film that people are commenting. If na everyone they end in success and range rover, noboyfor dey complain for Nigeria.

The story I told up there is my true life story

FamilyRe: My Wife Abandoned Her Matrimonial Home by Gbengageorge: 9:38am On Feb 03, 2020
Go and meet the Mum, tell her everything, tell her she is married to you she should allow her to fulfill her duties as she is fulfilling her own in her husband house, and if the daughter is really still interested in the marriage, she must move back before the next two months, (one year marriage leave) anything that happens after that ultimatum, she will have herself to blame. Make sure you are saying everything in a subtle voice.

Tunagee:
My wife started behaving strangely immediately I lost my job in April 2017. She leaves home to her mum at the slightest disagreement without even communicating or making to express her feelings; and to worsen it, her mum gives her a great welcome with a room and parlour for her to stay, without even calling me to discuss what the problem. Whatever her daughter says is always the final, and she concludes on that.

My wife literarily destroyed my image before my in-laws to such an extent that I can't even visit them again. She tells them i insult her and her parents, and i make negative remarks about them, that i abuse her verbally at the slightest provocation. Several lies against me that I did not allow her travel out, I don't give her money, I told her not to have another kid, that I told her not to work, her mother has decided to keep her with her as I speak without even calling me to discuss, even despite all my appeals. She has been with her mum now for almost ten months(my wife is a fully grown legally married faithful woman of almost 40 years)

All these disrespect, probably cos I lost my job two years ago of which I fulfilled all responsibilities to the home. i don't drink, i don't smoke, don't womanise(even till now) I have never beaten her, I never another child out of my matrimonial home, and never impregnated another woman.

Rather than resolve her marital problem by discussing with her husband, she takes it to her family claiming emotional abuse. Fine, I agree I get provoked cos of her persistent shortcomings, and of course, frustration which leads to unguided vocal utterances towards her, but this could have been resolved easily without having to involve her whole family. Now what she keeps telling my family is that her family said she should still hold on at her mum's place. This is the 10th month since October 2018.

The last time my mum went to her mum's house precisely June last month, she was asked if she was still interested in her marriage, and she said yes, that she does not intend leaving her marriage; but we should give her time. Her mother practically told me to go and do something meaningful, and that there is time to marry, separate, reunite and hustle. Her mum is the one controlling her movements and everything about her for now; not even giving her room to give me audience.

Pls advise on what to do.

We are legally married.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Things I Learnt During Interviews No One Will Tell You. by Gbengageorge: 3:47pm On Dec 17, 2019
You should have known that any form if lie at that point is a mess.

I applied to a place and my home address did not tally, that was the last I heard from them.

rationalmind:
BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT LIES, IT MAY RUIN EVERY GOOD THING YOUVE SAID DURING THE INTERVIEW

I picked myself up after the airtel disappointment, downloaded numerous videos on how to overcome fear and how to build confidence.

So when I got KPMG assessment centre invite, confidence was the least of my worries. I was well prepared, digested my course to a satisfactory level and was already looking forward to working with them cos I knew I was destroying the interview which of course I did.

The interview started in no time and everything was fine, I answered all questions extremely well until one tall, slim dark guy asked this question I'll never forget.

So rationalmind, how come you're having all C's in your neco result? He asked

I responded by saying it's even miraculous I passed the neco as it was waec I really prepared for and just wrote neco for the sake of writing since I was sure I'll pass waec.

When the result came out, as I had predicted, my waec result was very fine but unfortunately, I had a D7 in chemistry and that rendered my waec result useless. Since then, I've been forced to use my neco result.

How many A's did you have in your waec? he asked.

I could have told the truth but I lied, I told him I had two A's when I had none. All I had were B's. I felt since I had given them my neco result and the result satisfies their requirement, it doesn't matter.

The interview ended in no time, I thanked them and left.

The following day, I got a call from them. "Rationalmind, you told us you have a waec result with two A's yesterday" the caller at the other end said.

Yes, I answered.

Can you please send a scanned copy of the result to us now? grin

I paused and said I wasn't at home but will do that once I get home. I needed time to plan my next line of action.

I sent my waec result like that and explained it was a mix up bla bla bla

The result was a regret mail grin

We were both crazily in love years ago. She visited me around 8pm and we planned take her back home after a quickie.
We both slept off after 'knacking', woke up around 1.30 am. shocked She insisted that she would go home because her dad would kill her.

Well, I stupidly took her home at that time of the day but my problem started while returning to my own home.
Fear came set in. Suddenly, I began to feel the presence of someone or ghost behind me, following me.

Then, the person or ghost started chasing me. I have never ran faster in my entire life. Till today, I still don't know how I managed to get home.

I have never taken a risk like that in my life. I was tired, stupid, reckless and completely nuts.

FamilyRe: Wife Battery: Should We Drop Police Case, Though He’s Threatening To Kill Her? by Gbengageorge: 3:50pm On Oct 21, 2019
Just report the case to welfare, they will take up the issue, or any NGO that deals with women right. By the time they deal with him, he will get sense, before he kill that lady.

computergeek:
So I’ve never actually brought a personal issue to this forum, but this one is beyond me and I don’t know the best course of action to take here. I believe that there are people here who may have had a similar experience or might know what best to do. This may be a bit long.

So there’s this neighbor of mine whom I have an after-school agreement with. She’s a stay-at-home mum with two kids (a nursing baby and a four-year-old) while I have one child (also four). I usually leave my office at 4:00pm, so the agreement is, after-school at 12:30pm, I’ll go pick up the kids (they go to the same school) and return to work while she watches my son for me. I get my son his lunch and snacks before he goes there, even though she’s begged me to stop doing that, but I can’t saddle her with feeding a child that’s not hers.

The issue now is, a lot of violent things have happened in that house and as of this week, my son won’t be returning there. But I fear for the woman. Our homes are separated by a wall, but we often hear the arguing and crying sometimes. I knew she was having marital issues but I didn’t know the extent.

About two weeks ago, I went to get my son from the house and I noticed he wasn’t talking as usual. My son is the very boisterous type who likes to bounce as he walks, and he’ll usually try to take the key from my hand so he’ll open the door himself. That day, he wasn’t talking as usual. He seemed scared and shaken up. I knew the woman would sometimes punish the kids by asking them to kneel down when they fought, but she wouldn’t hit them. I asked him what the issue was, if anyone at school or home had been looking for his trouble, the guy said no.
He’s very close to his father (they are best friends), so when my husband came home I asked him to talk to the boy because he couldn’t choke his food down. After about a while, my son opened up. Apparently, he’d witnessed a very violent beating that he was struggling to find the right words to explain. He said that David’s father had been punching his mother in the passage with two hands at a time, and when she’d tried to run, he brought her back and beat her more. He said that he and David had to hide under the table because they were scared of getting hurt. He then said the mother raised a flower vase and hit him on his head, but the man continued beating her and shouting at her.

I didn’t know what to say. My son had witnessed a violent beating and it traumatized him. We soothed the boy and told him to forget about it. I then knew why the woman didn’t come out to hand him over as she usually did when I went to get him. He just came to me by himself.
The next day, I was skeptical about taking my son back there but he said he doesn’t want to stop playing with David and Sandra (the one-year-old baby). After school, I picked the boys up and drove them home. David’s mom came to the door and her face was badly bruised. I had to ask her what was wrong, but she hurriedly said she fell down and then took the kids from me.

On Friday last week, two days ago, the worst happened. It was around 3:00 or 3:30 when the woman called me at work. I picked the phone up and it was my son. He said that David’s mummy was lying on the floor and wasn’t opening her eyes. He said she was still moving but she couldn’t open her eyes. That blood was coming out her nose and mouth and their daddy had driven away. My heart literally flew out of my chest.

I called my husband as I was driving home and told him to meet us at the hospital. Long story cut short, she was badly battered and torn apart, almost about to give up life. I took her and all the kids to the hospital. While they were cleaning her wounds and hooking her up to the IV, I sorted out the bills. My husband tried to reach out to hers but he was rejecting the calls, so he went to make a statement at the area police command. They told us to contact them once she wakes up to give her statement. The police doesn’t usually like to dabble into marital issues but the woman was disfigured beyond imagination.

Sadly, you won’t believe what she said when she came to after a few hours. She started begging us to not report to anybody and not even call her family. That she’ll refund us the hospital bills and we should just call her friend that lives in New Haven to come and look after her. She was trying to protect the beast that had beaten her and left her for dead. We tried to reason with her because the man would certainly kill her sooner or later. She said he’s her husband and the father of her kids, bla bla bla. She told us that she’d been confronting him about a girl he’d been gallivanting openly with him, and that’s been the cause of all their issues.

She told me to use my number and call her husband because he doesn’t have me as a contact. I called him and told him the wife he tried to kill was in the hospital. He told me that she had better remain there because he’ll kill her if she ever comes near his house again. He hung up on me. She’s still insisting that he doesn’t mean it and she must go back once she’s discharged.

The issue now is, should we withdraw the police report or take the case up? The woman’s life is in danger and she doesn’t seem to understand the seriousness of her situation, writing it off as momentary anger. I don’t know why women choose to remain in these violent situations even when they have children to live for. She’s not even thinking about her one-year-old who has been with me all weekend.

Mature advice is needed here. Pease push to front page. I don’t know if we’ll be overstepping our boundaries by trying to help her.

TV/MoviesRe: Experience With Dstv October Double Upgrade Promo by Gbengageorge: 7:10am On Oct 13, 2019
Report to SON

fratermathy:
Hello Nairalanders,

I actually purchased a new DStv decoder last month. It came with one month free Compact bouquet subscription. Towards the end of the subscription earlier this week, I received a call from a DStv marketer (01 280 6877). I was asked to upgrade to a Compact Plus bouquet for N10,650 in order to get double upgrade to the Premium bouquet. Since I wanted to resubscribe anyway (I actually wanted to maintain the Compact bouquet), I decided to do the upgrade and pay the extra in order to get the premium channels.

I paid the money and went ahead with the upgrade, believing that I was going to get the premium channels. After 48 hours, I was yet to get the upgrade and I sent an email. My email was not replied. I decided to call the customercare to make my complaint. The agent that spoke with me then told me that the promo is not for me as my account was only created in September. I queried her on why the company's marketer called me for a promo that I was ineligible for without mentioning it. When I got the message about the offer, it wasn't explicitly mentioned that it was for old customers ONLY.

My anger now is that I was essentially deceived by the company and their marketers to upgrade even when I did not want to. I do not actually need a Compact Plus (it's virtually the same with the Compact, apart from new sports content which I don't need). I only upgraded because I wanted to access the premium bouquet. I expressed my dismay to the customercare agent and told her that the company had tricked me. The extra money I spent is not the issue but the thwarted expectations that I had. I promised the agent to call out DStv for this blatant misuse of advertisement.

I have also tweeted @DStv, @DStvNg, and @DStvCare on this issue and have not gotten any response. I am bringing the issue here on Nairaland so that all Dstv customers or potential customers can know of the deceptive tactics DStv uses in its advertisement. Before you deal with DStv, make sure you ask them to tell you ALL the clauses because they won't tell you. All they need is your money so they don't care about consumer rights.

I will also forward my complaint to relevant regulatory agencies as well.

You should have reacted violently, like driving her out of the house the first time you caught her, when you still have money, even though you may eventually pardon her, but because your reaction was subtle, she took you for granted that you wont do shit. So she continued in it.
Now you don't have a strong finance, she is capitalizing on that to go for more. So even if you try anything violent now, she will be like, you kuku no get money. But you need to threaten her now with divorce and see if she will be repentant. I doubt if she will be.
