ogbonlowob: Good evening fellow members of this house! I have followed with keen interest the various contributions in the dv 2013 winners’ blog. I am really enriched and enthused about the contributions from the very first page. Just this evening, while listening to AIT Sunday news titled “week in review” , I was embarrassed when a major news on a 10 man NECO syndicate was displayed on the television. This is an embarrassment to our great country, Nigeria! You won’t believe it, but each member of the 10 man syndicate had his own area of specialization. Four (4) of the members were computer staff of the NECO. Others specialized in printing of blank certificates, impression of NECO seal on certificates and so on. The ring leader, who lives in Minna resides in a mansion in which the Chief Speaker for the State Security Services revealed that even if this man works for the next 50years, his salary wouldn’t buy such a house. The proceeds of the illegal business has made this man rich and thick, but his fall is shameful. Among items recovered were 1,000 Original NECO certificates ready for distribution to clients who must have paid dearly for the illegal services. Dear winners and prospective winners, do you now see why Nigerians are questioned over and over again by CO’s as to whether their certificates are genuinely obtained. In all these forged certificates, English and Maths would certainly have credit marks for each client. I beg of all of us – please, let’s do our best to be honest and not bring disgrace to our dear country. The corrupt tendencies of many have made it difficult for others who are innocent to obtain a visa. Please, avoid corrupt practices and go with clean hands, and by the grace of God, all winners will all obtain their visas. It unfortunate. I am not proud of this country. Some bad eggs have given the rest of us a bad name locally and Internationally. It's well. |
nery4u: House pls the embassy mailed me this afternon and i quote! You really have to pray. It's unusual for the embassy to ask you to come pick up your documents. If visas will be issued, there is a pick up point other than the embassy premises. I fear that your application may have run out of time. Since 29th and 30th were weekends, the DV 2012 officialy closed on Friday. Whatever the outcome is, life continues. Let the will of God for you in Destiny be fulfilled. |
Tiwanna: dv2012 is not over until @mr nery4u gets his visa.If what he has is a visa pick up appointment then he's got great hopes and possibilities. There can't be further appointments with the embassy in question of 2012 lottery. The curtains closed on Friday. It's officialy over gal. |
adzovia: please this is to the notice of the Ghanaian winners. please WE NEED AN AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. i called one of the 2012 winners and she confirmed it. please take note and get oneIf you ask for my opinion, I will ask every winner to procure one since it's within the discretion of the CO to ask. It doesn't cost anything to get one if you have relatives in the US. Since it's valid for 3 months, I won't be processing mine until November. |
BETTER IS THE END OF A THING THAN THE BEGINNING THEREOF. GOODBYE DV 2012. |
goldenfish4u: Hello my friend, pls i need your advice and who ever could help as well. Few months ago, i realised there was mistake with my year of birth on my Waec certifcate, i do try to contact my school and they advised i bring the original one which they took from me and sent to waec for correction, it was later i leant it takes a while for Waec to get back to those with similar issue. If that is the case what can i do here? i do have the photocopy of the original result I gave to waec. With my case number 11***, i will probably get interviewed in december or january. What is your advise pls or is there anyone with similar situation, pardon me if this has been asnwered before. ThanksTry to approach WAEC for a cover note or 'To whom it may concern.' This will give you a temporary relieve while the changes to the error goes on. Ensure the cover note states the reasons for the certificate recall which in this case is to correct the error in it. Secondly, you could certify the photocopy you have as a true copy and attach the cover note from WAEC to it. If they decline to give such cover note, a certified true copy and an affidavit to correct the error would do. Ensure you attach a scratch card from WAEC for online verification. The most authentic approach would be to have WAEC send a certified copy of your result (confirmation of result) to the embassy then you go for your interview with an affidavit detailing the error on your certificate and a cover note to that effect from WAEC. |

femsoj: I believe u are not to dictate for me on the right time to comment on a post.what i commented on was posted during the weekend and i just have an access to it this morning when i got to the office.its true we all came here to contribute but some people are just looking for a slite opportunity to insult others.Quite unfortunate. |
C Blessed: Hey!Any affidavit for the purpose of International processes should be done in a court of superior jurisdiction e.g High Court. You need not go to notary public. Approach a high court and all that will be taken care of by default. |
Leripa: Been so busy bro...thank you and keep up the good work you are doing on here. Thanks a lot. Just contributing my little quota in the belief that what a man sows, he reaps. If I can assist people on their journey towards obtaining their immigrant visa, then I should reap the benefits too. That's the motivation. |
Leripa: Long time...how are you doing?Hey Leripa, am cool and you? You went on recess. Welcome back. |
engyadewale: Okay thanks so much but what about the submission that I've not made. Am I not too late about itNot at all. Very much on time. Take your time to review your forms so as to eliminate any margin for errors. But ensure you submit soonest October if you must be scheduled for interview as of when current. |
engyadewale: I still don't understand how this Visa Bulletin notification works. Please I need your enlightenment on what it means for one's case number to be current and does it mean that one must be interviewed compulsorily in the month that one's case number is current. I need your help also about my forms because I have not yet submitted them but my case number is around 14***.(i.e fourteen thousand plus). I hope it's not too late giving the case number that is said to be current in Novenber. Please help me out House.14*** is not yet current but should be by early next near. Keep your eyes fixed on the visa bulletin until the visa number for Nigeria is 14*** or above, in which case you become current. That means, you are scheduled for interview. Visit previous pages of this thread for details on visa bulletin or Google it. You are not interviewed in the month you became current if you submitted your forms late. All these scenarios have been thoroughly explained previously. |

Flobzy4real: Hello House,CIA intelligence playing out here. Remain firm and consistent. Stick to the truth. You will always have to remember a lie in order to defend it. The truth lives with you. God will see you through. FEAR NOT!!! |
talatu.talatu:You are welcome. The visa is yours. Go for it! |
loconzo00: My wife, the main applicant will likely be 7+ months pregnant for interview and like 8+ months at POE in USA.You should be jubilating. Your child will be a US born citizen. An Obama in the making. |
Ibracadabra: Lol... I'm enjoying d english language debate. But as Gentiger said, it's important to polish your english language skills. It may not b written, but I'd like to think that your inability to express yourself in clear and coherent English may work against you in your interview. I'll advise anyone who has such problems to use this grace period to work on it. And to give "short" answers during d interview to avoid being asked to "explain further"...My dear, I have left the matter at the foot of the cross. I consider it a settled issue. If God was kind to select me for further processing out of over 8million applicants worldwide, it's nothing for Him to include me in the 7% that would be issued visas from Nigeria. I spend my time reading, browsing and seeing movies. As for December, it's some days away. It will surely come. |
rood boy: Let's us been sincerely speaking, like my broder said that english isn't is father's language, you are defenately rite, let us carry our language up, we can't leave our language and hold english as our personal language ahahah is bad, fine english is general language we nd too know it does not means we shld abandone our own language o, take a look at some hausa them say no english except their own language, some other countries does not depend in english except their language why us here, most tyme some ppl wil c that some pson does not undstd english well instead of them too back you up them wil be laugh at you, what them don't undstd that the place urs own end other start frm there let us think of it all the best my ppl.Let everyone speak according to his ability. However, if you're conscious of who and who is reading these posts worldwide, you may be compelled to polish up your English language skills. |
talatu.talatu:Your CN determines when you are scheduled for an interview only if you submitted your forms timely. If the guy with a CN of 3*** sent his forms to KCC in September, it's ridiculous to expect an October interview date though his CN is current in October. KCC requires time to process applications which are then sent to the US diplomatic post where the applicant will be interviewed. Sorting applications according to Case numbers and scheduling interviews are painstakingly done to avoid regrettable errors. I hope that clarifies the confusions. |
sami_1983: MY Case Number 2013AF00014000 I need to know my interview day is any can tell meBe discreet in the disclosure of your CN. This is a public forum. I'll strongly advice you pull it off. |
floreflora: UPDATE: They finally sent me the e-mail (Sept 19th). The interview is scheduled for Nov 6th. FYI, my CN is 2013AF000003** ! For sure there is a mess up somewhere... Getting ready for the day. Thx guys. (Everyone waiting for 2NL should exercise patience. Additionaly, the time you return your forms also plays an important role in determining your interview date fixation. |
ifeanyi.abdul:Such minor errors are anticipated. They are tapographic errors. They are often over looked. To be on a safer side, what you suggested above is the correct legal procedure. A court affidavit and a publication in a national newspaper. |
jack_syno: I had a successful interview today!!!!!!That's great. Congratulations. Please stop over at the Elephant joint along Marina. Eat enough. |
nery4u: I give all glory 2 almighty God cos is beyond my imagination. No single question was asked on my academics. Evrthin just centered on my rltnship. This's just lastd 4 only 3 to 4 mints.Every marriage claims is investigated. The period before they establish a contact is used to scrutinize your claims and to determine thru exhaustive enquiries if you are truly married. Be patient. The next call will be a call to proceed for your visa at collection center if you are cleared. |
floreflora: Trying to be patient but my case number is 2013AF000003** still haven’t received my 2NL. I called and e-mailed them many times and they are saying that everything on file is OK. I sent in the documents early June. What must be going wrong?Usually, 2NL is sent 4-6 weeks b4 interview. Be patient. |
ifeanyi.abdul:The truth is that it has never been done. I wouldnt know what inspired the decision to do it. It feels strangely different. Well, I hope they do for the benefit of those not already selected. |
