Fulani herdsmen would lay siege to all the nysc mega farms
This is unrealistic anyway. So, I wonder why you are emphasising it is possible. Moreover, government entities should not operate businesses. Certainly not Nigerian government entities.

Fulani herdsmen would stop all farmers in the south of Nigeria from going to their farms
Yes na. They did demoralise many would-be farmers and even propelled the exit of one of the country's biggest rice farmers. See my thread, which graced the FP: https://www.nairaland.com/7723312/nigerian-kidnap-gangs-drive-big-time Do you farm more than Rotimi Williams?

Really how many are even fulani by ethnicity in contrast to the millions of other tribes living in Nigeria
It is not the numbers, but influence. Fulanis are the alpha ethnic group in Nigeria and wider West Africa.

They are insignificant in the grande scheme of things
This is an ignorant take. Thoroughly ignorant! So, the continuous abduction of farmers by Fulani terrorists across the North Central is insignificant? What about the continuous butchering of farmers in Plateau, Nasarrawa, Benue, Zamfara etc?

Nigeria lacks vision to use the fertile land to grow itself out of POVERTY

everyone is looking for oil and refined oil
People invested their hard-earned money during the twilight of GEJ's tenure and early years of Buhari's first tenure only to battle with herdsmen which wrecked across the country.

Even the pointless Dan gote refinery after it was built it was later revealed it will still need to import the same crude oil to refine
Because your darling Buhari did nothing to stop the continuous crude oil theft in the region. I called him your darling because I am cocksure you campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015. People who evade the Fulani herdsmen aspect are guilty of having campaigned and voted for the incompetent feudalist in 2015.

It’s not about boredom it’s about effectiveness as to how forex can be easily earned
We currently earn money via the export of agro-commodities, but we can earn more if farmers are allowed to farm in peace, not pieces.

Ivory Coast and Ghana do not have as much arable farming land as Nigeria
Agreed, but they have relative peace and security which promotes stability and attracts investment.

Both countries do not also have the NYSC scheme where major exportation mobilisation can be done overnight
NYSC farms would never work. The government should not be involved in business. Why should the government own farms in the first place?

That's the thing- a good number of food items still have fx component... we still import frozen chicken, fish, flour, palm oil, raw sugar and rice. Even some of our beans comes from d country- Niger... Now, the poultry farms in the country make use of feeds that are mostly imported. Also, diesel is the fuel that trucks use to transport the locally grown foods from the North, farms to the markets.. Diesel in the North is upward N1,300 today
Which is why subsidy should have been removed earlier as GEJ wanted in 2012 so that the monies would have gone into rail transport criss-crossing the north and south. But darling kwarruption pighter did train to Maradi. grin

Cardoso said, “In 1980, our import expenditure stood at $16.65bn, while our exports amounted to $25.97bn, resulting in a surplus of $9.32bn. Thus, during that year, we managed to fulfil the demand for dollars from our existing supply and still had over $9bn in surplus. In such a situation, the exchange rate (the value of the US Dollar) would not increase because, similar to any commodity, its supply surpassed its demand.
Lofty ideas, but you omitted Fulani herdsmen. Until you tackle that menace, sorry, your lofty dreams will never actualise. Ghana has more potential to achieve them. Even with the peace and security there, she and Ivory Coast haven't been able to go anywhere. But at least, they do well in cultivation and eventual export.

Fortunately for him, he got a buyer for his properties and left for the UK that same week we spoke. Guys, he called me this morning and told me how terrible things has been for him over there. This is somebody that is very comfortable in Nigeria, he owns a car, business, house. This person is now a cleaner over there in the UK. I really pity him so much. My advise to you guys is that no matter how hard things get in this country, japaing the wrong way isn't the solution, plan your waka well so that you'll not hear story that touches the heart. If you have similar stories, please comment below let's all learn!
The best form of japa is via work visa, which is arranged by the company and the person has gone through a standard recruitment process. Study visa is best for those with max three years of work experience. After that, any study visa is best done with scholarship. Examples are MBA programs. Don't sell your propati. Most will return to Nigeria in the next five to seven years.

Ohhh I see.

Yeah, I noticed that children born out of wedlock is heavily frowned at. I observed this in the many Korean movies I watch. The children are usually omitted from the Family Book/Tree and they're usually despised.

Lol. So the increase in birth rate is within themselves and not foreigners? Nice one.
Yes, it is heavily frowned upon. The wedlock rate in Japan is below 5%, which is abysmally low compared to other developed countries. I don't know about China or Korea, but in Singapore, government policies aimed at housing and certain subsidies deter it. It is frowned upon. In return, the poverty rate is low, there is social cohesion and order in the society. East Asia is a case study where the two parent system works and the society is prosperous. It is my go-to example for "saner climes". Most Nigerian netizens see the West as "saner climes", which I disagree with. There are other wealthier societies which are saner than the West.

In the West, birth rates are low because people have fewer children even though they are in a union. In the East, it is low because marriage rates are low. More children are born out of wedlock in the West compared to the East. So, when accounting for fertility, that distinction is important. In summary, marriage begets children in the East, but not necessarily so in the West. Additionally, the Japanese government counts everyone with Japanese nationality as "Japanese citizens". However, I don't know if this applies to fertility rate analysis. But since the government has certain subsidies and policies aimed at ethnic Japanese, I believe there is a way to account for the fertility rates of ethnic Japanese. After all, the overwhelming majority of the citizens are ethnic Japanese. Also, it makes sense to prefer people who look and think like you to procreate more. Humans are tribal.

Male actors are scarce? Interesting.
Sorry to ask, but what is the ratio of the population of women to men in Japan? Lower? Higher?
There is a slight majority to men, but more balanced than China's.

I don't even know how people enjoy Japanese porn. lipsrsealed
Boring and bland to me. But the ladies are facially beautiful sha. As you stated, it is not really fun. It's not surprising as her cousins (Koreans and Chinese) are the biggest consumers. I am pretty sure they don't enjoy Ebony Porn either. grin

Enlargement creams do not work actually but people still patronise these products. Your Nigerian men are still taking "agbo", "shekpe", "monkey tail" to last long in bed and do "snake in the monkey shadow" sex style.
Exercise, eating more fruits and spices (ginger & garlic), longer pre-intimacy duration, cutting down on alcohol and other deleterious things we consume would add more stamina to sexual intercourse than drugs. Drugs do more harm. Folks should go natural. Pans.ophist has emphasised this deeply.

I remember the story of that late Israeli billionaire. He must have been really insecure about his penile size. cheesy
Truly money can't buy everything. grin grin
I sympathise with him sha. He has the money, but cannot enjoy the best women. But then, there is more to penetrative sex. Most men don't last up to 30 mins via penetrative sex naturally. So, why bother when there are other styles which aren't penetrative?

I wish the foreign women the best in trying out the black man koboko.

When you say the foreigners aren't black, do you mean the Vietnamese? Singaporean? Chinese? Korean? etc surrounding Asia Or foreigners such as the Americans, British folks.
That is, a black man, regardless of nationality, would be admired (even if it is strictly sexual) in regions with fewer black people because the numbers favour black men. I don't see how black men would be admired in France compared to Mongolia. Scarcity induces curiosity.

I'm surprised black men marry Japanese women (I've seen more of Chinese and Korean). I don't think I've seen much of that mix. Although I foresee them having beautiful kids.
There are a lot o. A significant proportion are African American men who are stationed as US soldiers in military bases across the country (this applies to both Korea and Japan). Another proportion are African men, especially Nigerians and majorly Igbo men, who came in during the '80s and '90s. Then there is the group from the Caribbean, dem Jamaicans and Haitians. One Senegalese (who speaks better Japanese than myself) who lives in Yokohama told me that Japanese women who like black men prefer African American men to black African men. They only move to black African men when they don't see or cannot get an African American man.

P.S. I wager that there are more black African men than African American men in this country.

Also, he told me that biracial kids don't like black men, especially black Africans, as their fathers (black men) left the family, leaving the upbringing to their mothers. Raising a family anywhere is expensive. As a result, most couldn't get into the university due to high education costs (prepping to take the national exams costs a lot. Juko, like JAMB classes, are revered here and cost a lot). So, they carry that grudge with them. I can understand the POV of those black African men. The women were a means to an end (PR status) and/or they couldn't last long due to cultural reasons and/or the man planned moving back home and the woman no gree (logical enough).

Japanese are more exposed to foreigners than Koreans. So, the perception towards marrying a foreigner isn't as bad or negative as in Korea. Koreans are more nationalistic or preferential than Japanese in that regard. I am surprised you say you see a lot. Maybe because you consume more Korean content. But a black man, regardless of nationality, has higher chances of marrying a Japanese than a Korean or Chinese, all things being equal. As for the Chinese, that has more to do with black African men who went/go there for business and trading. I wager that very few African American men are involved due to the usual US-China historical relationship and the non-existence of US military bases in China. For instance, in Taiwan, it could be 50:50 with a slight majority of African American men fathering women with Taiwanese women because of US military bases there. In all, the white man is the most preferred after the native men across Asia. Yes, as a whole continent - from India to Malaysia to Japan to Thailand to the Philippines - the White man wins emphatically. Whether he is ugly, has less money or is fat, his chances are way way higher. Asian women LOVE white men.

Even in Nigeria here, it is still better to seek defined relationships than casual ones.
Causal relationships benefit men more than women. The presence of testosterone is a major factor. Women are largely more demisexual than men. Except for the religious folks who are not pretentious or hypocritical as most Nigerians who claim to be religious are, almost every man likes to have a taste of different women at some point in their life. As Chimamanda said, it is the men that are benefitting. As a man, I wish the sexual liberation ideology lives on forever. grin

That's true. Black men ALWAYS feel like they're the best thing after sliced bread but when they reach other climes, they know better.
Ignorance is the reason. As I said, except in regions with fewer black people. Else, we are at the back of the queue in women's preference of men. And even at that, African American men come first before black African men. That is the power of wealth. Women, regardless of race or nationality, are hypergamous. And heck, everyone wants the best for him/herself.

Oh, I thought you majored in Economics/Finance in your undergrad years.Cool too.
No, I did not. If I did, I bet I would have attained first-class position even without heavy study. I am naturally good at the theoretical aspect.

I had poor Math foundation in secondary school. I'm really terrible at it till date. I definitely have to marry someone who's good at that otherwise we're toast!

If so, then my bad. It must have been prior to the war.

Western audiences are completely misled about this war. I see well-meaning Westerners completely anti-Russian because of this heavy censorship and a one-sided story being pushed by the West.

Gladly, many, if not most are waking up to see that they are being deceived. As you rightly said, freedom of speech includes the right for others, even our adversaries to speak what we do not want to hear.

Hmmmmm! It's crazy to be importing contraceptives. That's really wild. cheesy
Or will you start it as side hustle? Be importing contraceptives from Nigeria to that side. You'd make cool cash. Them go rush you tire. grin grin
From an Internet search, it is just the government not approving contraceptives as OTC. Thus, anyone who wants it must get a prescription, which is a long process and can be difficult because of the language barrier.

Is it that the Japanese government want to regulate the birth rate of the entire citizenry?
The government is interested in increasing the birth rate. So, I posit that by making it hard to get contraceptives over-the-counter, citizens are forced to accept the possibility of marrying themselves if a child is the result of their sexual intercourse. In East Asia, wedlock is heavily frowned upon. So, once there is a child, it is expected marriage follows immediately. As a result, people either stay off sex, use condoms or the few contraceptives approved via OTC or masturbate to porn.

P.S. When the government says we want to increase the birth rate, it is focused on ethnic Japanese, not foreigners.

How's the Japanese Hentai pórn business faring these days? lipsrsealed
Big business, but facing a shoftrage of male actors due to the ageing of the population. There are even older female actresses (>50 years) in the industry, but as the population declines, male actors are becoming scarce. Maybe actors from China would come in, or South Korea - the two major consumers of Japanese porn.

Yeah. The average Nigerian man has average sized dîck, yet they still feel insecure about it and take penîs enlargement cream/pills to increase its size. It's crazyyyyyy.
The thing about some of the medicinal practices we have in Nigeria is how people cannot think why these medicines aren't popular beyond Nigeria. The question to ask is: why are these products not popular? If there is a product that increases the size of a man's preek, whoever is behind it would instantly become a billionaire. Anything concerning male sexuality will make money big time. As I have written on NL, men all over the world like to fvck largely because of testosterone. Enlargement cream no dey work, else that Israeli billionaire wey do surgery and later died would have bought them to increase his preek's size.

I don't know how big deek equates sexual satisfaction.
It gives off confidence. And since, on average, our women have big hips and yansh, it means the preek can do wonders. In fact, the belief that black men have big preek is why foreign women, especially those in places with few black people, might/would want to test it to see if it is true.

Black women love defined relationships, I am not surprised they'd do same over in Japan.
Wo, we all need our own person biko.
Because they are a minority and since most foreigners aren't black and a proportion of black men marry Japanese women, it is better to seek defined relationships than causal ones. The numbers don't favour black women. So, it is appropriate to be tactical.

If sex isn't there, dildós to the rescue.

Hahahaha your friend dey find long term relationship, make him come Nairaland particularly Romance section and he'd change his mind that "All women are useless and he doesn't need them". grin grin
Forget those miscreants, people wey never chop belly full. I am glad many Nigerians, both genders, have japa'd in recent times. That belief that black men, especially black African men, are hotcakes to young white women has been demystified. They have seen it for themselves, not dem say or person tell me. Black men aren't really prized. Many would go back home to marry. That is the truth. So, the slurs are from unexposed miscreants who have not seen the inside of an aircraft.

Humans are social animals. We seek communities, except the person is very antisocial, and this is a minority group.

Niceee. You seem like a Finance/Economics person. It's all good though. Learning the language is also wholesome.
Till today, some people ask me why I did not study economics or finance grin Sha, na poor math foundation from secondary school, hence my signature.

Yeah, make sense. Sex is risky. Life itself is risky.
Sure. But the ROI sex brings is very low. That is the truth, especially for men wey no too get money. It is good and sweet from a biological aspect, but bad from a financial POV. Once the numbers don't favour me economically, I withdraw.

I can't wait. Seems like sacking Tucker from Fox is the best thing that is happening to Journalism, that guy has gone fully wide, and out to make mainstream media look like a thief.
Even though I have some ill feelings (normal as a human being) on how Elon raps about DEI, I admire the fact he bought over Twitter. He must have seen what we haven't seen. Sometimes, I just feel there is this growing backlash by certain white elites and ordinary folks regarding how things/events have turned out to be. Peter Thiel go follow dey inside.

So, yes, it is good the interview will be held. I have always been a proponent of hearing from both sides even though one might not like what the other party has to say. I am all for free speech. Let's hear what they have to say. However, this is not the first time Western media have interviewed Putin if I am not mistaken. I think either French or German media have interviewed him. There are actually black women in the country, and I am sure the majority reside in the Tokyo area and environs (half of the country's population reside there anyway). Mostly black African women, but yeah, not ubiquitous as it is East Asia after all. What I suspect would be that black women would prefer to have sex within a confined relationship as opposed to causal sex since they are fewer. I have not asked any black lady how often she gets sex, but women have no problem having sex anyway. But sex shouldn't be hard.

After all, I have a friend who has been on dating apps looking for a long term relationship, but tells me women (Japanese and other foreigners) have mentioned sex, but he declines the interest. I cool off by reading financial newspapers and learning the language. Thing is, as much as I love sex, I am not an addict as I am extremely cautious of the risks involved.

I meant in response to Wizarab blocking you. It was needless since you are correct. I am not a fan of blocking people as long as they are honest. Even if I don't like the person for any reason, I will want to read/her what the person has to contribute.

It's not a matter of Earthquakes, but the matter of strong hold of traditions. Men and Women know their roles. If this roles get interwinned, then both parties should be flexible, and willing to take on the role of the other when necessary. Women take the roles of providers without second thought. Ask a man to enter kitchen, you start to hear stupid statements like "head of the house." Poor, incapable, head of the house.
East Asian countries have strong traditions which tend to interlap - respect for authority, deference to elders, not looking directly into the eyes of a senior/superior when talking, bowing etc. However, the degree of gender equality laws and policies in South Korea and Singapore supersedes Japan and China. Apart from China, the rest are largely Westernised, but only Japan bucks the trend in applying certain Western attitudes in certain aspects of their lives. The way Korean women go against the male dominated system differs entirely from Japanese women. Which is why I posit the prevalence of earthquakes as the reason.

In Japan, women still want to marry men and later become housewives. This is not applicable to South Korean and Singaporean women. Japanese women are entering the workforce enmass because of labour shortages, not because they want to. They like being housewives where they control how their husbands' salaries are spent and budgeted. The aspect of military service helps as everyone competes on a level playing field. The annoyance of Korean men and the growing discomfort by their Singaporean counterparts is because their birth rates are very low. You cannot ask for gender equal policies yet you no wan born children. In other words, as you no wan born children, then follow us do compulsory military service. China's case is an anomaly due to the One Child Policy. Now, governments are opening up to immigrants. Something they would not have done. Lastly, of all East Asian societies, Japan has the highest birth rate. South Korean own is just too low. Sometimes, I pity them.

On twitter just yesterday, one so called mumu man, was saying how he won't buy washing machine for his wife because he doesn't want her to be lazy.

Is the above type of man you expect a woman who also has a job to marry? Of course not. Why aren't men willing to take on "motherly" roles like women take on Fatherly roles? WhYhuhhuh?
Our own matter na poverty cause am. But with the growing education of women and wealth creation plus social media penetration, things go change. I don't know how it is in Southern Africa, but that is how I see Southern Nigeria becoming, especially for ethnic groups which are heavily exposed to Western values.

You forget to mention that women in the North are traded and treated, like property, compared to their counterparts in the south.
I meant Northern Christians, not Northern Muslims. Northern Christian women don't express the same feminism as those in the South. No one there begins to think of 50:50 splitting of bills or who would wash clothes when Fulani herdsmen are razing your houses. These ideologies na for people wey don chop food belly full and have security. Islam is an entirely different ideology from Westernisation.

2015? Jonathan deseerved to be kicked out of office. Let's not kid ourselves. Maybe not replaced by Buhari but Jonathan's body language was not of a leader but a sitter on the table of power. Power is never given. 2019? Now Buhari had no business even running for that election! He was perpetuated in office due to selfish ambition of a certain man who now seats in same office. But that's the weakness of the same democracy you guys said is required for development. It is the rule of the majority. What if the majority choose to be stupid? What can the vocal minority do but look on while their own funeral is being prepared? You see why nothing is absolute? If it were to be a truly egalitarian society, Buhari will be kicked out!! But you know the funny thing? If it were to be a wholly Hausa-Fulani state, Buhari will probably rule for life!! How do you now reconcile that?
I am very wary of Nigerians who campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015. I see them as unintelligent people.

Bye bye!

Well, you couldn't give a cogent nexus between racial dominance and economic prosperity. You summarily expounded that majority in the society must embrace capitalism for the society to be prosperous. Capitalism is not linked to any ethnicity.
Capitalism existed in African groups before the advent of colonialism.
The other one is political stability which you also attributed to ethnic dominance. That is also not correct as some of the most homogenous countries in the world have had and are still having serious instability and conflict. Chief of this is Yemen, Libya, Iran and Somalia. You seemed to cherry-pick and meander. A fault i find in Ibe too
If you scroll through my conversations, I mentioned:

Gerrard59:
While ethnical or religious or racial dominance is a factor, another aspect is the characteristics of that dominant group. Not all groups are equal, some are more equal than others. The dominant group has to be pragmatic, egalitarian, enterprising, preference for the rule of law, secular and hold people to integrity without fear or favour. It also helps if the dominant group is less belligerent, but this can appear as cowardice in the eyes of enemy groups.

Some groups have all of them, while some have few. No ethnic group in Nigeria has all.
Those countries in bold lack all those qualities. Regarding capitalism, some racial groups and ethnic groups even in Nigeria loathe profit making. They see it as immoral. See COVID. Also, when it comes to religion, some religions abhor wealth creation than others.

The good thing is, you must not agree with my posts. We can agree to disagree. The other good thing is that time will prove who was correct.

Private universities have less incidence of corruption because of less demand for them and that's to borrow from your principles. If they have to start catering for 25K+ jambites, 20K undergrads and over 5k postgraduate, you will see an uptick in their corruption. But to say they are better off than public universities is totally false. I have my facts. And I can see how you started making excuses for corruption in private institutions. Don't shift goalposts pls
This is akin to saying Exxon Mobil is more corrupt than NNPC. Private ownership of businesses leads to reduced corruption as there are consequences for those ill actions. It is why private firms that go bankrupt as a result of financial mismanagement do so because there are lax managerial controls in place. If not, why are privately owned companies the most profitable in the world? Even in China, privately owned firm outcompete State Owned Enterprises. If not for government subsidies, SOEs would have failed. And as mentioned countless times here, the reason SOEs can work in China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Singapore is because these societies have one dominant ethnic group professing the same religious beliefs. It is the very reason Temasek exists but nothing like that in Nigeria. Or the Norwegian Investment fund thrives: homogeneity.

Another example is Covenant University vs Madonna University; both are privately owned, but one promoted freedom in academic expression, applied capitalism to its tenants, and sought for the brightest academic staff. In summary, the very reason private enterprises succeed is because profit making: once profit making potentials are at risk, the management moves into action to protect their investments. Apart from legal tussles, conflicts and targeted governmental policies, private firms that fail do so because of mismanagement. No one is arguing that corruption does not or would not exist. Corruption is an integral part of humans. Humans can be corrupt if the conditions are present.

Pls!! This is the most pedestrian excuse for I've heard from you. They are at war is why US is protecting its economy from being a dumping ground for Chinese goods? But I guess Nigeria is in love so we should open our labia up for countries of the world. US is still receiving imports from Russia as we speak!!
The reason the West aka white man countries are against China is simply for global hegemony. Nothing else. It is a fight for global superiority. The West is not happy China has progressed to the extent its position is being challenged. It has nothing to do with dumping of goods. If not, why has the US bullied the Netherlands to instruct ASML not to sell to China? Wouldn't it be nice to dump etching machines in the Chinese market?
More has been explained here: https://www.nairaland.com/7801886/multipolarism-versus-hegemonism-great-power

This your tribal principle is alarming o. And I don't understand why you think tribal dominance or supremacy leads to economic prosperity. If I start to show you countries with tribal dominance but are dead poor, I'm sure you'll start making excuses again. It makes you sound like a tribal jingoist or puritan.
I have explained this already. Ibe calls it protection of property rights. I call it enterprising. Once you protect private rights and as a group, you promote profit making, prosperity is bound to happen. Going forward, as a diverse society, reduce government ownership of property. The government has no business in business. Mention one thriving government owned enterprise that you know? Again, I have explained this above.

Mtcheew. Dude. You're unaware you can obtain deed of ownership in some states. You're too fixated on Lekki. I have some with me. C of O means you own the land for 99 years and it's renewable so what's the fuss about. I actually thought you had something important o. Oga there are more Nigerian land owners than US land owners. That I can assure you. The 99 year mandate does not make you less of an owner. There are lands that have belonged to families for over hundred years in Nigeria, pre-colonial times and I've not heard any of them lose their lands. Pls don't be alarmist or reductionist. Besides, you're beating Nigeria for a system it copied from UK as vestige of colonialism or are your unaware the King statutorily owns ALL land in UK?
That is where you lie. Any land which is yours for 99 years is not owned by you, but on lease. Singaporeans know this too well. After the lease expires, the government can take your land because it is by law. You own a land when it is freehold.

Lol. A sentence on productivity means more SAP. Baba IBB dropped SAP in the toilet. He's not taking about SAP and I'm sure he was talking about Buhari and his constrictive economic policies. Anyways, I don't take kindly to people insulting Nigerians. It's a cheapshot and totally uncalled for. Nigerians are hardworking. Why blame them for poverty in the land when they have irresponsible leaders. You can blame them for docility but it's a cultural thing not natural. Have a good day
In 2015, the majority of Nigerians went out to vote for an incompetent feudalist whose livelihood of cattle rearing defied basic economic and biological principles. How can people vote for a man whose antecedents dated to 1984 showed he was thoroughly inept and unintelligent? The 2015 election was largely free and fair, so it is a mendacious tale to state that Nigerians are intelligent people. In 2019, they repeated the same thing and further etched it by electing the same party in 2023 which plunged the country into two recessions. Oga, how is that intelligence?! You mentioned leaders as if the leaders are different from the people. Nigerians deserve the leaders they get. These leaders emanate from the population. They were not imported. You cannot give what you don't have.

Besides, Nigerians are not homogeneous. So herd mentality can't be blame instead manipulations along ethnic lines seems more like the main culprit.
You knew this, yet you are arguing on how ethnic dominance leads to prosperity? So, how come Namibians or Ghanaians cannot be deceived along ethnic lines? When the economy of Ghana got terrible, Ghanaians went to the streets protesting. No one mentioned ethnicity. But during ENDSARS, Igbos were accused of fostering the protests because they "wanted to burn Lagos". There were few protests in the north, all by Northern Christians. When OccupyNigeria reigned, there was none of such throughout the south east and south south. Yes, I remember Ngozi Okonjo said the economy was bleeding 350BN naira daily, but because there weren't protests in Eastern Nigeria (south east and south south), the economy was still OK. OccupyNigeria only happened in the SW and Muslim North.

So, how can such a country prosper when there are divergent opinions?

Agboriotejoye:
Can you and IbeOkehie explain the relationship between ethnic dominance and economic prosperity?
Gerrard59:
Culture and ethnic/racial demographics play major roles in nation-building, prosperity and cohesion. The vast majority of cultures in Nigeria are not pragmatic, egalitarian, enterprising, hard-working and promote integrity. Additionally, Nigeria has too many ethnic groups, creating a divisive society full of mistrust, disharmony and disunity. Looking at examples globally, the most successful/prosperous societies are those where the dominant ethnic/racial group promotes pragmatism, egalitarianism, entrepreneurship, hard work and integrity. In return, the most homogenous out of them tend to be the most successful, peaceful and safest as this homogeneity endears trust, peace and harmony. Examples abound globally and within Africa. So if you expect component parts of Nigeria to be prosperous, you know what should be done.
Not all groups promote pragmatism and entrepreneurship. Some groups have socialist ideas and abhor profit-making, so they become poorer. Any group that abhors or loathes profit making is bound to be poor, no ifs or buts. A simple way to know a prosperous country is by checking the list of countries under the US Visa Waiver Program: those countries are prosperous. Prosperity begets safety, as almost everyone is doing well economically. China or Russia, which we know why aren't members of the VWP, have dominant racial/ethnic groups. This means having a consensus on how the country or things should be is very easy compared to Nigeria.

Even for less developed countries - India vs Pakistan. The very reason why the former outperforms the latter is because of those factors - dominant racial/religious group. It is the very reason nuclear families prosper in the long run compared to polygamous counterparts - consensus, agreement, unity, cohesion, less bickering, togetherness etc. Even when the country is poor, just like many African countries, because of their ethnic dominance, they tend to be safe. However, some suffer conflicts because the dominant ethnic groups or competing groups are belligerent in nature. All cultures are not equal; some are more equal than others.

As Ibe said, some countries have all, some have just two, but those who have all tend to be the most prosperous and safest.

There is no moral justification for violent extremism. Extremism itself is a threat to human existence. The truth is in a liberal world, you have copious of choices to make. Those women are either in the minority or are not highly educated or earn below the average salary.

The funny thing is that Nigeria women are unconsciously RACIST.
They feel belittled when other African citizens or Oyinbo approach them for marriage.
Even their parents are disappointed when they introduce anyone who is not a Nigeria or from their tribe .
How many non-black men approach Nigerian women for marriage? The Nigerian women who will easily opt for such would be second-generation Nigerian women. First generation Nigerian migrant women prefer men who look, think and speak like them. Humans are tribal. So, nothing wrong with that. Even in the US, black women prefer black men. More black men marry outside their race than black women. Humans prefer people who look like them. In South Africa, the United States and Brazil (three of the most racially diverse countries), inter-racial marriages no reach 30% of the entire population.

You must be living in fool's paradise for you not to realize that the majority of 'modern' ladies now set unrealistic standards of the the kind of men to marry. How convenient it is for you to blame men and accuse them of going for twerking ladies.

Try to approach those ladies in prayer houses disturbing God for husbands, maybe then you'll realize that their problem is not that suitors are not coming, but that the kind of men that meet their high unrealistic expectations are not coming for them.

Believe it or not, western civilization created a generation of greedy and insatiable women and that has put a strain on our traditional family system and created a chaos in romantic relationships between men and women.
Well, not entirely so, but education, economic empowerment and prevalence of peace contributed. In societies where conflicts are prevalent, this does not happen because men are expected to defend the society and women fall in. Although, when compared to Islamic civilisation, then yes, Western civilisation created something like that. The issue now: western civilisation leads to greater economic prosperity and safety.

Women have realized that they can obtain the same benefits and more from men without being married to them, and not bear the price, that is, marriage, for obtaining such benefits. The moment a woman is able to free herself from traditional norms sorrounding relationships and marriage, men become the prey.. And, of course, they lack the self control to notice they aren't the prey.

I tried telling SirDick this once, but he block me.
But what you said is not entirely wrong. In fact, two days, I finished reading the entire comments on this article by the Financial Times about how gender views have changed across the developed world. From my observations, it is creeping into Africa, especially English-speaking countries with a high number of Western-versioned Christians. Most notably Southern Nigeria.

Women have gotten empowerment as a result of education and contraception, and to be honest, there is no going back. In return, many males feel dejected due to the competition for good jobs, and because of their impaired financial states, they cannot afford to be in a relationship because while women have gotten financial independence, they have refused to let go of hypergamy. This has led to a significant proportion of single women in their 30s pursuing a tiny population of men.

In developed countries, this has led to low birth rates amongst the native population because many young men are either not as educated as the women, have lower incomes, have high housing costs, etc. In South Korea, it got worse as the young men voted for a candidate who promised to curtail the gender equality policies of the then government. This candidate is now the leader of the country. In Korea, men are mandated to serve the country, thus putting them on the back foot in career progression. At the same time, women are kicking against male-dominated policies and favouritism in companies because as they got more educated, they sought greater independence. As e con be na, men no dey gree marry. Women sef no dey gree marry. Nobody wan gree for anybody. The men now are pushing for women to also serve in the military because they say "Why serve in the military yet come to compete with women in the workforce and at the same time, the women are fighting us in the name of gender equality". The birth rate in the country is the lowest in the world.

In Singapore, the situation is the same because there are growing calls for women to serve in the military since the birth rate is low. In other words, what is the point of having women excluded from compulsory military service when they are not giving birth? Japan is different because there is no compulsory military service, lower housing costs and one factor I say is the prevalence of earthquakes. You know, in times of danger, na men dey in charge of defence and rescue. So, my hypothesis is that, when earthquakes strike, everyone's brain changes because lives are at risk. The women know that the men have to protect the country. Challenge them, and your children will die. Countries like Singapore and South Korea don't experience this phenomenon. With the empowerment women have now, should there be a major military conflict in the West, most young men would opt-out from participation because they feel it is not worth it. Make I go defend country so that feminist go enjoy? shocked

In the West, birth rates have declined as a result of high childcare costs, competition for limited jobs, high housing costs and what the article says: policies and movements that lampoon men. Birth rates in the Nordic countries have plummeted upon the generous childcare policies from the government, divorce rates have shot up, where most men tend to lose. Many men are growing into their 40s without having sex (lack of sex affects the male brain), and continuous bashing of men has led them to be on their own.

In our Nigeria, shey we witnessed the feminazi cults up until when that young dude died as a result of false accusations. Then, there was a rise in male focused accounts which fought against the claims of Ndi feminazis up to the point where an erstwhile feminazi defender Dr Fumilayo was falsely accused. What holds Nigeria back are tradition, strong adherence to religion and the prevalence of conflicts. Remove those factors, and many women would not see the need to have men. In return, birth rates would skydive. There is already a divide between the north and the south. This is why there are fewer Northern feminists compared to their counterparts in the south. You wan do feminism when Fulani herdsmen are killing your children? The people who would come to their defence would be men. The summary of the matter be say, if the society keeps lambasting and cursing young men while also reducing economic opportunities for them, they will withdraw from their expected duties and become more solitary.

cc: LordAdam1, remember our conversation? The article by the FT and comments have revealed everything. Social media has really exacerbated the gender wars and a growing number of young men are opting out and going their ways. As it is, the future is conservative because the birth rates of liberals have plunged overtime.
