Profgordons:The majority of a country's wealthy always reside in the country they come from. It is their dominant environment. Nothing about creating wealth. It is simple mathematics. There are more wealthy Nigerians living in Nigeria than elsewhere. |
IbeOkehie:While these statistics are interesting, and I resonate with why they left, most wealthy Nigerians live in the country. Obviously, that is a small minority, but it is the reality. Nigeria is not a nice place to live. Nigerian culture is just bad.To a great extent, that is true. The infrastructure is sub-par.True. The weather is hot and humid. So are Malaysia and Singapore, but most citizens there are not interested in leaving. In fact, their elites don't have dual nationality. On that aspect, they are better off than Nigerian elites. There are Japanese, Americans, Indians, Chinese and Singaporeans in Malaysia. The difference between Malaysia and Nigeria is infrastructural development and economic prosperity. If Nigeria were like Malaysia, it would have made much difference. Mass poverty has made the populace generally ignorant, nasty, desperate and cruel. Most Nigerians only see other people as targets for fraud, nothing else.Agreed. Positives for a rich dollar earner are cheap and easy sex, availability of cheap servant labour and worship from the mass of poor people who pretend to respect the rich.True. The black woman's breasts and well-marinated pussy are heaven made on earth. Many have weighed the options and made the choice to migrate. Where they don't migrate they send their children abroad. And most ultra high net worth Nigerians you THINK live in Nigeria actually live abroad and commute into Nigeria. This I know for a fact. Europe is a 6 hour flight away, North America 12 hours. Some of these people spend enough time in NY to qualify as residents for tax purposes.True. No Nigerian elite has just the Nigerian passport. They have passports of the EU and North American countries. I see a growing number possessing Brazilian and Mexican passports in the future. |
What OP needs is a job where you learn how a structured business operates. Do so for at least three years, save then decide which path to take (entrepreneurship or career progression). |
Nazgul:Apart from continuous capital infusion, everything you have said is the truth. It takes time to build wealth. It involves a lot of delayed gratification, planning, new ideas, trial and error, persistence, determination, hard work etc. The worse is when Nigerians come online to ask how much profit they will make a day after investing so so and so amount. Our people mistake revenues (not yet break-even sef) for profits. Another one is using the revenues they generate to build a house. ![]() |
remsonik:I am genuinely interested, what are the dirty lifestyles and lies you or your friends see in young Nigerian men that are discouraging? |
My advice: you need to be friends from a platonic point of view. Sex distorts how you see a person especially if it is done continuously. You begin to disregard certain principles because of it, which is bad since you are aiming for marriage. You need to see people for who they are from an unbiased POV. Check the female friends you have and assess them from a strictly platonic POV. Don't go and become the boyfriend of a woman who doesn't offer you commitment/fidelity. That is a loss. You are becoming responsible, but collecting zero benefits. Most importantly, you need to either move out to your personal apartment or get somewhere suitable for your mom. Ever since I read through the comments of a Facebook post where almost all women preferred a man who earns 150K per month living in a self con over a businessman who lives with his immediate family, I knew that women don't like being with men who houses his mother/sisters. |
franchasofficia:I am sorry, but I find that to be distasteful. There is nothing wrong with chasing women, but giving them free money in a bid for them to like you as a man is terrible. You don't spoil women to like you, but you spoil the woman who likes you. What you have described is basically buying love. What about when the money finishes? He has financial issues like the Tinubu economy is doing people? Why should money be the image he offers to women? You have written elsewhere that men, especially those abroad, should not put a false financial image of themselves. So, why are you advising men to give free money to women in a bid to get them to like you? When the money no dey again nko? If a man cannot get a woman to genuinely like him for who he is, rather than the free money he doles out, he better remain single. After a few hang outs, invite her to know your place and then be bold to make attempt to kiss or romance her, if she rejects don't fret, apologize and let go, while you try next time, after one or two or three trials, she will definitely agree, and once she agrees, don't listen to relationship experts writing theories, make love to her and from there she will become serious with you. If she rejects your intimacy advances and also reject kissing and romancing, discard her immediately and delete her contacts and move on to others.Make she carry the man go Twitter say the man wan rape am? Stop begging girls for relationship, do what you are supposed to do as explained above and assume the position of their boyfriend. The bold is the only thing he should do. But he should not assume the position of a boyfriend. That is a loss. He would be responsible but never get the benefits. He is paying to a system he gets no benefits from. Why should he assume the position of her boyfriend when he is not her boyfriend? Do you know the responsibilities attached to the position of a boyfriend to a Nigerian lady? ![]() Unfortunately most Nigerian girls will never take you serious for a relationship until you have had good sex with them. While doing that remember to keep constant communication via Whatsapp chats and calls, but avoid being a pest or bug on her, always give her space to miss you after you have done your own partNa hook up be this na. For this to happen, he would be charged money after each visit/round. No woman offers sex for free. The man must pay. |
JustPowerApps:That is a lie! Say you are more attracted to such women, rather than labelling Nigerian girls as such. The ladies I know would never have anything to do with a tout or irresponsible folks! Never! Maybe while in school, they mingled with them because it was an academic environment. But as of now? Big Hell No! Change your circle of women or actually be responsible. I find it hard to believe that a responsible man gets irresponsible women as admirers. That is not true and goes against basic biological principles. |
Mcslize:]] Oh! He even supports APC?! No wonder he wants young and ambitious Nigerians to remain there! Nah!!! The average APC supporter is cruel, wicked and disgusting! The evidence is too glaring for anyone to deny it. |
ogbonti:Good! Clap for yourself! You have done well. However, everyone isn't like you. Mind you, the people you fought for campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2011. 2015 and 2019. Now, they have voted for a man because of his brain, not his body. Is that the same people others who didn't vote for should fight for? What do you think of ENDSARS where northerners didn't participate? What about the accusations that Igbos wanted to burn Lagos? See, the best solution is for everyone to answer him papa name. That way, if you fight, you know you are fighting for people who think and look like you. Fighting for Nigeria in its current state is a stoopid ordeal which will only end in sifia pains! |
bodeyX:So, Fulani herdsmen who kidnap, fleece farmers and slaughter them is not the cause of food inflation, but innocent traders who are subject to changing farm gate prices are the ones behind the inflation? Nigerians, who do una this thing na? IbeOkehie: Your people are at it again. |
successmatters:An intelligent man called RickyJesus said it was the best thing since sliced bread. ![]() |
We want his brain, not his body. ![]()

RickyJesus:Cry me a river!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Go and sweat the more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI, I am not here to make anyone happy! I didn't register on Nairaland to make anyone happy! If you don't like my posts, scroll away! The ret@rd you voted for in 2015 closed borders. Now, the Emi Lokan you voted for is closing supermarkets! Tomorrow, you will claim you are intelligent?! N E V E R Talking about the West and Russia: https://www.nairaland.com/7801886/multipolarism-versus-hegemonism-great-power I have written more detailed posts about geopolitics than your sweaty brains can ever grasp! Better look for ice block and handkerchief to cool your kon kon head! P.S. Those who campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015 are UNINTELLIGENT! |
RickyJesus:So my posts are gibberish when describing Buhari, not the ill-fated policies of his administration? Why do most Nigerians hate the truth, for crying out loud?! Buhari was thoroughly incompetent, and those who campaigned and voted for him in 2015 were thoroughly unintelligent. I am unapologetic about that stance! Some even voted for him in 2019, and some actually did the same thing in 2007 and 2011! But one random RickyJesus is pained that I maintain that stance?!!!! So saying Buhari is incompetent makes me a tribalist, but Buhari, who described the southeast as a "dot", isn't? The same man who proclaimed that "dogs and baboon will be soaked in blood" and was begged to call to order his irate and blood-sucking supporters in 2011 after they had slaughtered corp members across the north. Buhari did not respond to the pleas from international observers until THREE DAYS LATER! That is the man a prolific Eccrine gland secretor says I am a tribalist for lampooning. Go and sweat the more! I hold no apology whatsoever! No wonder you want to relocate to Russia ![]() |
tensazangetsu20: ![]() This even makes it worse, considering his predecessor failed WAEC. At least, Buhari could be forgiven because he was a stark illiterate. What would be the excuse for Tinubu? |
ehizario2012:Hopefully, the second generation blacks all across Europe understand this. Those in the US are excluded as their case is different. Get the passport, experience, money and contribute to your homeland. It must not be Nigeria sef. One second-generation Brit who worked with Shell dey Rwanda cultivating crops for exports to the Middle East and Europe. If black dentists are declined in the UK, I dey wonder how it is for black medical professionals (assume they exist there) in Switzerland and Poland. ![]() But to be frank, if I were Polish, I would rather have someone who loos like me work on my teeth. There is that psychological comfort. It is a human trait. Shey it is the same new immigrant moms in the UK prefer to be attended to by black nurses rather than non-blacks. Humans are tribal. |
RickyJesus: ![]() Guilty conscience ![]() I didn't mention any ethnic group. I only said, "those who campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015". After sweating under intense heat and inhaling generator fumes which was powered by petrol you struggled to buy at over N700 per litre (which is never accurate) and groaning under blood-sucking mosquitos, you log into Nairaland to dey bant with me. ![]() I remember your username: Just to pain you the more, those who campaigned and voted for the incompetent feudalist by name Buhari in 2015 are very unintelligent, cruel and disgusting folks! Go and sweat the more! ![]() |
ogbonti:Coming from someone who lives in the US. It takes a coward to detect cowardice. |
pansophist:Fair deal. At least, you didn't vote for Buhari in 2015 and fled like resident Nairalanders did. ![]() |
Karleb:Those are poor people regardless of whether they have lived in the US at a point. |
saintopus:Mention one. P.S. No such agency exists. If it does, why have the agency staff been idle? |
Liadi2:Wow!! |
Nigeria is a Muslim majority country. Nothing wrong with what Tinubu did. |
pansophist:Fair analysis. Which is why this thread exists: https://www.nairaland.com/7496716/what-exactly-does-one-enjoy But I am surprised, your comments have changed overtime regarding relocation and living in a place where the majority don't look like you. P.S. We must acknowledge one thing: The majority of wealthy Nigerians live in Nigeria. |
Karleb:But the majority of wealthy Nigerians live in Nigeria. It is actually a standard thing to do - the wealthy set of people reside in their dominant society. The purchase of second citizenship is to ease movements and offer a second option considering Nigeria's fractured state. I want to bet many wealthy Namibians don't bother buying a second citizenship. Money gives options, so wealthy people will opt for greater options. |
Those making dollars while in Nigeria have no reason to japa. An instance is the children/close relatives of cocoa farmers and exporters. If I see any such person japa, I will ask hard questions. |
ednut1:When did Nigerians become LMIA qualified? Are Nigerians qualified to be waived for LMIA? |
JuanDeDios:They became complacent and comfortable with the position they found themselves - a wealthy East Asian economy, which was the world's second biggest (as of then). After all, the yen has been undervalued since forever and remains so. There seems to be a crippling lack of innovation in the country's technology sector - seems na there the wahala dey.The Chinese came along and were more nimble, responsive to change, aggressive, fast implementators and had higher risk appetite. Before the Chinese were the South Koreans. Also, the Chinese population attracted huge investments, with which China had a strong and big internal market. It is why only China can compete head-on with the US. Another worthy challenger in the future would be India and maybe Indonesia. |
JuanDeDios:Please read about the "Plaza Accords". Before the meeting, American lawmakers and companies rattled that the Japanese were playing "unfair" in trading with the US. They attacked Toshiba, Toyota, SONY and every major Japanese company then. For a country the US bombed twice using the atomic bomb, rebuilt and the defeated people becoming your bonafide ally, the US forced the Japanese to sign the Plaza Accords. Now, they are using the same playbook against China. But China no gree. |
saasala:Except for those who are Canadian citizens, no difference between the UK and Canada o. Australia and US are good tho. |
easiest:The West and her allies would not accept that fighting Russia (increased energy prices) and now China (reduced demand for goods from their countries) causes more harm to the West's economies than Russia and China. These two don dey used to suffer, they can withstand the social and economic shocks. Not so much for the Western without excessive borrowing and quantitative easing aka print money anyhow. South Korea and Taiwan's economies don dey face problems because they allied with the US not to export chip-making equipment and materials to China. The West should accept that time don pass. These kids on the block are more solid than the Cold War era. |
