My friend who relocated to Sunderland 6 months ago analysed to me that Japa to UK is still better than Nigeria. That He saves 500 pounds monthly after bills ( which is about 500k naira) compared to me doing white collar job and earning 300k naira salary in Nigeria. Unless he intends to return to Nigeria in the nearest future, it is not advisable to convert your abroad earnings to naira. it makes no economic sense because you are not spending naira in the abroad. I rather convert it do dollars. Also, even with returning to Nigeria, inflation would have reduced the spending power of his savings, except he has a base to build on using the savings.

It is possible and can even cost more than that if it is in London (like the YT video says), and she targets top universities in the city. For instance, MSc Computer Science at Imperial College costs 40K pounds for foreigners. Almost all STEM courses at UCL, KCL or management programs at LSE or Warwick or Durham are close to 30K pounds or above the figure. Tuition fees alone.

So, it is possible.

I would not advise advanced-age folks with huge investments to japa. However, they should plan for their kids' education and citizenship. Having African country citizenship can be quite restrictive when it comes to assessing economic opportunities in the global economy. The latter has a guaranteed/sure/almost 100% chance of being a permanent resident than the former. That is my point. Yes, NiW is an option, but it is not guaranteed compared to Canada's route. If OP had an offer from ETH Zurich, I would say take the American option because getting permanent residency in Switzerland is not easy for a black African (excluding marriage).

Not in all industries. The US has the most diversified economy globally with plentiful of opportunities. Then, as a black person, the US is the best place to succeed. Actually, that is the same one of my guy plans doing, just as many of our kith do here. Provided it works for the family, it is OK by me. If he was going for his MSc, then that is a great option, including getting her pregnant. However, OP does not have tertiary education and undergoing tertiary education in the abroad is way expensive than graduate studies. Plus, his age almost disqualifies him for a visa if he is going for an undergraduate course. I don't know which graduate program admits foreign students without a bachelor's (3 or 4 years).

She does not have to work. She can be a SAHM managing the homefront. Rather than spend thousands of naira sending your children to daycare centres, you have the mother taking care of them. Inflation, competition for scarce resources and low salaries don scatter the system. But if you can make enough money, it is very OK for the wife to manage the homefront. Although caring for children cannot be quantified, it is an important contribution to society. She can learn online and if smart enough, can do one or two jobs online while managing the homefront when oga is doing work.
