HITsquad:The best environment for raising children remains a two-parent household. That is what the data says across the world. You are no different from this woman (assuming she had children for the man). Having children with a baby-mama might be desirable for you, but it is not the best way to raise children properly. The best outcome is for children raised in a two-parent household. Before you counter my post, please check publications globally. |
bestman09:That is not true. Southern Kaduna is a PDP zone. They gave bloc votes to Peter Obi during the presidential elections. Honestly, with Tinubu coming in eh and El-Rufai getting a plum position, it will be hell for Christians in the north and even south. |
Chochovini:The last time they did, the Nigerian army seized all their dane guns and rudimentary weapons. Few days after, jihadists swept into those communities killing any moving object and razed down houses. |
maak400:Focus on coding. Digital marketing has a low barrier entry. Any field with a low barrier entry has lower salaries and stiffer requirements for immigrants. They also factor in language understanding. |
omotodun1:Only for him to reply that it is women that are unfaithful meanwhile, more married men chase after women than married women do after men. That is the fifth time he has lied through his fingers. Honestly, if na so majority of Nigerian men dey reason eh. I fear for the future of that country. As for the rest of your post, I have preached it donkey months, but block-headed unam ikots believe it is women who dictate the sexual attitudes rather than men. https://www.nairaland.com/6643241/nigerian-men-failed-women |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Jesus Christ! Similar to the lie that there are more women than men in the world. So, the men who pursue women like dogs everywhere are not the unfaithful ones but the women wey sit down on their own? So in your last post about our men bringing young girls to dance with while their wives were at home, who was unfaithful in such a scenario? Yes I know Nigerian men have their poverty problems but that does not give the woman the chance to open their legs wide for anything which comes inside. You warn/caution the men, not the women. The men chase/woo these women. The men seek for these women. If men stop seeking for sex, prostitution as a trade will stop. It was not Nigerian women who brought young university boys to dance and sleep with. It was Nigerian men. You stated it yourself. How many Nigerian women in the abroad have you seen bring young university boys in that country to dance and fvck? So why blame the women? Are these women you accused of sleeping with ghosts? The women this date in Nigeria can do anything for money their life means nothing.Nigerian women mostly resort to sex trading, which is way better than cybercrime, ritual killings, cultism, armed robbery, and cocaine trading which are associated with Nigerian men. When Nigerians are arrested for criminal activities in the abroad, 9/10 are men, not women. Most Nigerian ladies will not go into a relationship with a guy and build a financial future with the guy rather they want to enter a house which is fully furnished. There is nothing wrong with that. Women are hypergamouss. Nigerian women's hypergamy is a learner when compared to Swiss women or Singaporean women, or South Korean women. If you think I am lying, check the calibre of Swiss, Korean or Singaporean women our men marry. They are not the top women in those countries. Gerrard59: |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Again, they do so because of immigration status. Are they marrying those women? It was here on Nairaland that someone warned Nigerian men to be careful around Kenyan women. If Nigerian men are so much in love with foreign women, interracial marriages would have increased as a result. But it is not common. I have given you verifiable examples in two of the world's racially diverse societies - people don't easily marry out of their ethnic group/race/religion. When you go to their party you see how they will be bringing young young girls from those countries in their party and leaving their wives back in Nigeria suffering like dogsSo, how come you are blaming Nigerian women? Who brought those foreign women to frolick with if not our men? Did those girls sleep with ghosts? Because they fvcked those girls do not mean they will marry them. Nigerian men do the same with university girls in Nigeria. It is a commonality associated with almost all men globally. Testosterone has to be satisfied. The average man anywhere in the world likes to fvck because of that hormone. Nigerian women these days have nothing to offer especially Nigerian guys abroadThat is what you people said, but na Nigerian men dey complain say women scarce for abroad. That tale has been demystified. Foreign women, except those in other African countries where poverty don nack dem tire, are not interested in Nigerian men. It is Nigerian men, not Nigerien men who complain of lack of toto or foreign women not interested in them. The belief that Nigerian men are hot cakes in the abroad is a big fat lie! You have lied for the fourth time in a row. https://www.nairaland.com/7514994/nigerian-men-women-sexually-frustrated How many of the children of those people which are born and brought marry Nigerian women or girls not even oneI am beginning to sound like a broken record - the vast majority of Nigerian men who marry foreigners do so because of immigration status. If they have a legal residency on their own, many don't opt for foreign women. A good example is Canada due to her immigration policy. The vast majority of Nigerian men who got PR via EE don't marry foreign women. They marry Nigerian women. Cultural traits are major factors. In other parts of the world, especially in places with few blacks, a substantial number marry other African women. Which means they factored in similar racial group. The vast majority of humans don't marry outside their ethnic or racial group. How many times am I supposed to let you know this simple fact? |
benzion72:You mean the Irish who fled famine in Ireland to America? Italians who ran to Uruguay and Argentina? Japanese who ran to Brazil and Peru? White, especially the British and Dutch who went around the world from Australia, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, India, South Africa etc? As I write, wealthy Chinese are leaving China in droves. South Koreans are moving to Canada, ditto young Japanese to work elsewhere. Migration is as old as human history. It was recorded in the Bible. Why didn't the Israelites stay put in their land? Huh? Your grandparents and parents, are they where their forebearers were? Why dem no remain solve the problem in their homelands? Anyone who wants to stay in Nigeria should stay. Those who want to leave should do so. Finito! https://www.cicnews.com/2023/02/ircc-unveils-the-top-10-source-countries-of-new-immigrants-to-canada-in-2022-0233180.html#gs.viw4y9 |
klawaaa:Femi Gbaja, Tinubu and his associates ALL worked or studied abroad. There is no difference. Fine, not everyone will japa. It is not even mathematically possible. However, the lie that Nigerian elites did not japa at a point or worked abroad is entirely false. |
LeoDeKing:People who suck Tinubu's preek cannot survive outside Nigeria. There is no free meal out here because you hailed one politician. You lots cannot survive in a merit based society. |
Tadadobe:I am not discounting anyone's experiences. I am only saying since they willingly relocated to the abroad, they should focus on the reason that made them do so. If they have attained what took them there, they can always move back to Nigeria. I find it ridiculous when Nigerians complain that abroad is too boring or bland or depressing because of the differences in cultural activities. What were they expecting? A Nigerian-like scenario over there? Anyone who wants to enjoy his cultural activities should stay back in his/her country. No one was forced to relocate. This is the same way some Muslims move to European countries and start demanding Sharia laws. If you so much like Sharia laws, why didn't you move to where those laws are implemented? Alternatively, you build your society to your taste and dictate how things should be done. That is how the Chinese have done in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. For instance, the Hong Kongers who were invited by the British government to live in the UK because of the new laws in Hong Kong, more than 40K returned after one year out of close to 160K applicants. More are still returning to Hong Kong. Why? They complain of the cost of living, poor weather, high taxes, different cultures etc. They willingly returned to Hong Kong, some to Singapore. It is that simple: if you don't like it, move to Africa! You think when I have attained what I want and abroad tire me, I would stay put or whine as these folks do? No, I would not. They have built their societies to their tastes. It is either I fit in or move out. The last thing I would do is complain about how another man runs his house when I still reside there because mine isn't OK. zrocky:Oyibo can complain because it is his country. You as the immigrant complaining, have an option - move back to Nigeria. If you want your environment to be what you want culturally and prosperous simultaneously, ensure you vote for the right leaders. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:For the umpteenth time, these women are not sleeping with ghosts. Hold the men responsible. Men approach women for sex, not the other way round. Nigerian men love foreign women see how they kill themselves for foreign women. They do so because of immigration policies. When a Nigerian man is legally settled in a foreign country, 9/10, he goes back to Nigeria to marry. It is a lie to say Nigerian men are killing themselves for foreign women. The foreign women wey no even want them sfe? No be Nigerian men dey complain say toto/women scarce for London/Canada? Even in Canada, Nigerian men who got PR go back to Nigeria to marry. They don't marry the white women there nor black women who were born and bred there. Those who target foreign women are the ones who legal status is on K-leg. Stop lying unintelligently. Instead of you try to do the correct thing that there are encouraging the young guys to get married to who. Let me inform you one thing if you put a Nigerian woman and even a African woman from another African country, most Nigerian guys and Men would prefer the other African women because of the sweetness of the pussyAnother big fat lie! The vast majority of humans marry themselves aka the same ethnic group, race and religion. Even in the US, the most racially diverse country, less than 20% of the married population is inter-racial. In Brazil, another racially diverse country, it is less than 30%. Then it is other parts of the world you expect it to be common? You lie a lot, and terribly so. |
pansophist:Especially within a two parent household. |
Kobojunkiee:Wouldn't you rather love Kobojunkie? ![]() Nigerian men have lost the moral right to lampoon sex workers after all, they are the ones who perpetuate the system. They are the ones paying hooge fees to ensure the legs of these girls are open. The ones who complain are terribly poor. I keep saying it, no well-to-do man in Nigeria bemoans the sexual liberty of these girls. The religious ones do it because their holy books say so. Even then, they still patronise these girls. Right from university days, I knew pastors and top clergymen who had concubines. The character of one even made a girl who was pious when she entered university to be carefree before she left. She stopped going to church till she graduated. As for marrying foreigners, it's a game of numbers. The vast majority of Nigerians are in Nigeria and will always marry themselves. Even those outside Nigeria still look forward to marrying a Nigerian woman all things being equal. Cultural similarities are major factors. Humans will always gravitate towards their own as they are tribal in nature. |
internationalman:Well, it depends. If it's IT related, you don't have to start in the US. Starting from Nigeria is very OK and will be cheaper. IT related certifications are recognised globally. For instance, COMPTIA certifications are recognised globally but are expensive from a naira POV. So, nothing stops you from starting the learning process now in Nigeria then brush over and acquire those certs while in the US. After all, you want a path to financial success without university education. Also, the US offers one that path. |
INDUSTRIALFAN:The same here. It helps if one is an introvert even though their introvert pass our own. Because if one is extremely boisterous, wahala go dey. Alternatively, one can use the opportunity to learn new things and better themselves. It's just to reallocate the time and energy appropriately. As for fvck because it seems our men like sex too much, they should again focus on the money. What's the point having ready and easy access to sex when the economy isn't good and the future looks precarious. Like I've preached countless times, nothing stops them from returning to Nigeria when they've achieved what brought them. I just hope they will be different than the previous generation who japa'd, witnessed how things are done in developed societies only to return to Nigeria and double-down on Nigeria's irregularities. Those who relocated and returned are suppose to change things for the better to reflect their exposure and education. |
LordAdam16:Thank you. Please ooo, they should keep that door open.I do agree with you here. It really brings out one's fighting/competitive spirit because you know home isn't good, and you have to better yourself. In other words, no room for complacency. Me sef don dey multi-task than I did in Nigeria. My mom is even surprised I can speak the language whereas I couldn't even speak her language even though I had knowledge of hers. Developed countries are pressure valves, you're correct. Earlier today, I read a brief account about the East African Indians. Two-time migrants. First to East Africa as majorly indentured servants in British Africa. Then to the UK during the expulsions. How come the ones already settled in the UK before this set didn't come become such? Maybe bad 'ol racism considering how Britain supported Apartheid etc. Hopefully, our sojourners in Asia do well too. India will not be where she is today without her emigrants. Why do you say "this generation of Nigerians are a lost cause...?" Also, which generation in particular? About the progeny, I recall Ednut1 writing some became LGBTQ, others developed mental illness kini kon, some relocated to the US for greater opportunities and others were average. I also recall Areafada2 saying his children's contemporaries get to attend Imperial College, King's College, LSE and with the education are set for life. Then brother Sukkot says majority don turn knife stabbers. ![]() So e get as e be. More countries lowering standards is fantastic.I'm actually happy for this, but our people should learn to be realistic and focus on the economics and what took them there. They shouldn't expect the same cultural heritage. They should just focus on the koko. I'm actually glad I created that thread as it puts me on focus too. Lets me wetin carry me come here. |
zrocky:You live with it or take the next available flight to Nigeria. Alternatively, you ensure things work well in Nigeria so that you enjoy your cultural heritage and live in prosperity. |
hikiki:It's a lie na. It's not possible. Stop reading those lies. Those people are folks who couldn't japa and they are frustrated. However, if you must gain full benefits from the japa expedition, do so legally. Know why you japa'd - it's very important and remain focused on your goal. It's a personal journey. https://www.nairaland.com/7650379/points-consider-before-after-japa |
LordAdam16:It's the reason I made this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7650379/points-consider-before-after-japa I think they had high expectations, sold off their assets for a student visa etc. I seriously doubt an auditor who moved via work visa will say the same. But they complain bitterly and it's tiring at this point. I even expected those in non-English speaking countries to complain, but such isn't happening. Even in the English world, those in Scotland and Ireland - countries abut to the UK - are not complaining. Those in Australia and the United States aren't either. The quality of immigrants to the UK leaves much to be desired. British embassy for Nigeria no try. If I was a British-Nigerian, I can see reasons not to associate with these people. |
TheEnforcer:Travelling is good and I like it. Do you intend to relocate at some point?Already relocated. |
internationalman:I have been on Nairaland for too long to know it. Anyone with a pressing issue can access the Internet rather than have his/her brother do it. Well, start with learning python, said to be one of the easiest programming languages. From there, you can specialise. You already have a pathway to naturalisation unlike many people. So don't fear for lack of jobs - it's the United States - or visa issues - you become a permanent resident and eventually citizen (the US immigration system is too broad for me to grasp totally). You see that US citizenship? It's like goldmine! The US economy is extremely diversified and plentiful of economic opportunities. Many Nigerians in other developed countries wouldn't mind going the extra mile just to work in the US for a while and retire where they hold citizenship. Europeans do it, ditto Asians. |
What a story! So if I acquire assets in my mom's name DURING marriage, it can be termed marital fraud? But wait o, why should properties acquired in my mom's name DURING marriage with my OWN money be termed marital fraud? It doesn't make sense to me. |
Etinosa1234:So, how many jobs have you created in that Australia you relocated to? How come Australia accommodated you but you believe it can't accommodate others? |
ednut1:There is one popular go-to car dude on nairaland wey quote you saying e better to drive Toyota Camry/Corolla of 2009 instead of 2018+ because of kini kon. ![]() |
Semaj77:It will make the news as it means the person is likely the first black or first black blah blah blah. Also, the majority of the represented countries have few black people. Also, these are folks from the undergrad level, so the possibility of say an African student being a participant is almost zero, as to be an undergrad in those countries, you need to know the language. Add the low proportion of blacks in the overall country. |
internationalman:Cybersecurity, for instance, has many certifications and some of them require working experience to be certified. Also, they are very expensive, and most people have their companies pay for them the costs. He can start with Python and build up. But ultimately, he should get citizenship. Heck, he can even do a two-year diploma program at any nearby university since education in the US is expensive. He must not do the standard four years. Or go through the community college if he likes. There are many options. How old is he? Abi is the He in question actually you? ![]() |
Klass99:.
|
Zahra29:Thank you for your explanation. So the UK is not as bad as many made it to be. If na so, Sukkot and his people should outline ways to become financially buoyant in the UK. That is what this section lacks rather than the "don't japa, don't japa" threads ubiquitous. |
Rokiat:cc: Amumaigwe Na woman talk that one o. Have you seen it? In traditional societies, the men ensure women don't out-earn them because they (the men) would not want to share trousers in the household. Women are naturally hypergamous - which means when she starts contributing substantially to the household finances, what was her hypergamy for? Wouldn't it have been better if she was single? |
Amumaigwe:Presumably so. No be Nigerian men dey fear say their wives should not out-earn them? It actually makes sense that wives should be submissive to men who cater for everything. You don't disrespect the person who pays the piper. |
