Head on pillow; phone in hand; Mary, Mary on the stereo. This is gonna be one lovely evening! |
Poverty and the lack of class. It's not all of our girls sha. Some will even offer to pay for your drink, literally and metaphorically. |
omanzo02: That range rover model cost between 55000€ and 70000€ depending on the installed options, if u add the bulletproofing options, that vehicle is not more than 110000€.I mean how can people even agree to the fallacy that the cars cost N300m naira each without proof!? The first thing I thought seeing d comment dat one was bought @ d rate of N300m was 'NA LIE'. It's not like the body of d car is gold-plated or something. A regular Range Rover, though bullet-proofed, for N300m? That's almost two million dollars, u know? Thanks for the analysis jare! Koro will do better following your lead. |
slap1: All these FIRE FIRE FIRE is scary...will the successful candidates be posted to hell?Hahahahahahahahaahahah... Una no go kill person. Lol* |
slap1: Haha. Ok. Upgraded. Palmwine and dried goat meat.Joor! Ur head dey there. Make me sef come join d feast. |
Mass ignorance is not a trivial issue o. Most of our religious bigots will rather love a skydaddy (an illusion by the way) than show love to their fellow human being who doesn't share in their delusions. When I look back at all the times I adhered to religious beliefs and blind doctrines, I'm usually like "what was I thinking!?" The number of non-believers in our midst keeps growing sha, and it's a most positive development. One love! |
Try and google 'The Yoruba Traditional Belief System' to learn about the traditional beliefs and practices of the Yorubas (You'll find enough literature on it online, I believe). The traditional belief system of the Yorubas revolves around Ifa - the Yoruba divination system. The Yorubas too have their own account of creation which, like the Adam and Eve story, is to an objective mind a myth. The Yoruba Traditional Belief System (YTBS), just like the Greek mythology, is plainly polytheistic in nature, seeing as the Yorubas belives that there are (at least) 400 gods, called Orishas. I can go on and on but I believe you'll get enough materials on the internet. PS: 'Yoruba' is just one of the over 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria, and each of these ethnic groups have their own traditional belief system. I believe you'll likely find more materials details YTBS online than most of the rest. |
revolt: though I think he was a fcknn tribalist, we can't rule out that every Yoruba millionaire owes his success directly or indirectly to awos bigoted policies. It appears you don't even understand who Awolowo was or what he stood for. You guys call him a tribalist, yet Azikwe & Bello did almost the same thing as he - stand up for their people. The political arrangement in Nigeria back then was such that it was a this-is-my-own-that-is-your-own setting. One thing Awo had over the rest was that he had the insight to read to present and the foresight to see into the future. His AG led the struggle for true federalism, developmental politics, democratic socialism as the basis for achieving a truly egalitarian society, unrivaled infrastructural and educational development, etcetera etcetera. Pertaining to his role in the Gowon regime during the civil war, he did not start the war, he helped end it. The very logic that war is an acceptable means of agitation is as faulty as faulty can be. Those who blame the other side for causing the death of hundreds of thousands (if not millions, depending on who you ask) do forget that their own actions too not only led directly to the death of hundreds of thousands on the other side, but also to indirectly the death of millions(?) on their own side. If there had been no war in the first place... Even Nzeogwu was opposed to the break-up of Nigeria. |
Came across this thread today, so I missed #SmartCareer2014 on twitter yesterday (I'll definitely read through though). Will join the discussion on saturday (Insha Krishna!) seeing as I'm currently one of the e-searchers. Will surely forward my CV for review too. Xie xie, TheKrine! |
Hehehe... These pastors are yeye people o. It's a pity Nigerians fall for their crap. |
You don't need a soothsayer to tell you these! |
Beautiful! NL post of the day. |
@OP - I say 'marry her'! She's your friend, your love, and you've known her for a very long time, so she's not a fake. And for pete's sake, it's not like she's 15 years older than you, she's your age-mate, so age shouldn't be an issue here; you guys are perfect for each other. What if you had married at 21, would you have married a 15-year-old? Above all else, use your head & follow your heart. |
Hehehe... GEJ should've sent it to Daddy G.O instead na. At least then he wouldn't have had to suffer this rejection. Who does Bakare think he is!? |
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe... That's what you get when an adult, who's supposed to know better, believes in fantasies. Some'll tell you there was no Jesus, not to talk of one who has boat-feet. |
Incomplete! You left out Davido's Skelewu. It should be No. 2, only behind Flavour's Ada Ada. |

Nothing! What happens on NL stays on NL. That's why we make use of usernames instead of our real names. |
Shit happens, sugar! And time takes it all away. Life goes on, it has to. Don't destroy yourself in the process of getting used to being alone, 'cause the truth is that everyone, no matter the attachment(s), is alone. |
Yes ke! I'll surely attend. |
