Obiagelli:Very hillarious!! But you are wrong. The president has a property in a town that they claim is part of Biafra - even though he is still trying to trace the location. “President Buhari also has two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt. He is still trying to trace the location of the Port Harcourt land. |
Mynd44:Thank you. I had to re-read the list again because I thought I was the the one not seeing properly. Besides, these are not fresh appointments. These are redeployment to another post/positions. And to think that someone attribute this redeployment to PMb shows how inept some people are. Na wa for wailers oo |
The answer is simple. No body is holding them!! The moment they are serious about going, nobody can stop them. But what we see is that: 1) They are still asking for more states in their region so they'll also have six states in Nigeria just like other regions 2) They are still asking for appointments in the country they don't want to be part of; from a man they rejected during the elections. 3) The companies of their major business men like Jim Ovia, Elumelu etc have branches all across Nigeria and these business men are not ready to let Nigeria go. So no body is really holding them!! They are the ones holding themselves. PMB only need to give them "juicy" appointment and they will sing another song. |
centje and all the docs in the house. I have an issue I hope you all can help me with. My child (6+ yrs) has been visiting the hospital an average of once a month for over a year. What usually take him to the hospital is his relatively heavy breathing (in most cases accompanied by cough - especially in the night). And he always has running/stuffy nose. Funny enough, ALL the doctors say they are reluctant to declare him asthmatic. That kids of his age sometimes get over the condition and live like any other person. Even a consultant said its allergy (or is it allergen?) In all cases (i.e past trips to the hospital), the doctors place him on nebulizer (one or two rounds) after listening to his chest and he will be fine for like another 30 days or thereabout before he begins to experience heavy breathing again. Now this is where I need help: I have been told (and I have read online) that I can buy home nebulizer kit to treat him during such very odd hours like in the middle of the night when the cough and heavy breathing become uncomfortable. But my fear is the composition and the dosage of the drugs to put in the nebulizer. I have no idea what medicine to buy and what dosage to use for such home emergency treatment. To make matters worse, there seem to be zero information on this online. Your help will be highly appreciated. |

The op is just acting silly. The news came out long before apc had their national convention whre Ikimi was booted out in favour of oyegun. To make matters worse, his source/link is fraudulent. |
I have a very simple solution for those crying about equality. Just go and lobby for the cut off for Anambra and co to be reduced to 2. That way the cut off for SE and northern studenys will be the same and you all will be pacified. |
Crocz:That is not entirely true! The entire nation is filled with greedy red-cap-wearing stubborn goats politicians. Just take a look ![]()

I am a Yoruba and a core pro PMB supporter. I also don't give a damn about who PMB appoints to office. In fact, as far as I am concerned, PMB can appoint mallams in sabo markets into his cabinet on the condition that the level of good governance to date is maintained. BUT I will not subscribe to a post that "labels" an entire region as "goats" There are people from that region that are strong supporter of this administration. They are not blinded by bigotry and are not demanding they be appointed. There are political goats in every region. The message could have been passed without sounding like that region is the only place that goats reside. |
ba7man:My brother, I just tire for this country. Imagine someone complaining ahead of time that PMB will reserve the portfolio of "minister of state of***" to their region. At a time when we are asking for elimination of unproductive government expenditure. Ola17:OF course! No sensible person should support any government unconditionally. I will withdraw my support for PMB if/when he deviate from good governance. People used to import tooth pick, egg etc to this country to this country - effectively creating jobs abroad while our youths die trying to get into NIS. Trillion was spent on ghost of petroleum products, and these are being address. My support for PMB is not unconditional. The moment these kind of stories resurfaces, I will withdraw my support for PMB. But at the moment, let PMB go to sabo market and put all the mallams into his carbinet - he still have my support. And wailers can hug the nearest transformer ![]() |

I trust my people. |
Passingshit:Let's just leave GEJ out of this. All politicians are a$$holes, but GEJ happened to be the biggest of them in recent times. Sure he was running around in the twilight of his administration (re)commissioning power plants. But what does it take a "commissioned" power plant to remain in service? What we saw was a consistent decrease in output by PHCN with every (re)commissioning that GEJ did. Granted PMB has not touched the issue of electricity but you can't take away the fact that electricity supply got progressively worse before May 29 and now a lot better in 100 days after democracy day. Do I need to talk about the humuliation of the Nigerian Army in the hands of Boko Haram until it was apparent GEJ would lose election before he acted. And now we all can see the difference PMB has brought. On the point that many APC members were former PDP members, shouldn't that be the exact reason why we should place priority on who get appointments? Shouldn't that be the reason why we should place more emphasis on performance? And this hypocritical talk of federal character, why were many of the wailers when SW was "supposedly" marginalized? Why didn't they speak up at that time? Can we then conclude that if the appointments had favoured some people in south at the detriment of other regions, these same wailers would have kept quiet. On the Issue of SW and marginalization. This is what I posted elsewhere: .....the Problem most westerners had with Uncle Joe was two-folds. It was a case of double jeopardy. The main issue was performance! The marginalization just compounded it and made things worse. Most westerners wouldn't have cared much if he had performed. Most would have looked beyond the marginalization if he had delivered dividends of democracy. But most people found it very difficult to point to one aspect of their lives that GEJ improved and to make things worse, he made unnecessary enemies by offending some powerful politicians who capitalized on the marginalization issue. Just listen to Fashola during the APC interactive Town Hall Meeting in the buildup to the election: |
It because of people like this that Nigeria still has hope. Truth is always bitter. |
haul:Thanks for the quote from the little but might book "The Prince" That quote is what world leaders all over the world use. Emotional and excessively religious people will strongly disagree with many of its content but if you are serious of getting desired results and remaining relevant, then you better read, digest and implement the teachings. At the end of the day, it not about "how right" or "how moral" or "how balanced" you were (even though you need to pretend to have all these qualities). You will be judged on the basis of what you achieved without too much emphasis on the means with which you achieved it. It also looks like Buhari now has a copy of the book ![]() |
agabusta:@ the bolded Actually, Buhari is trying to christianize Nigeria. Shame on PDP and TANdroids |
Tinubu, the Nigerian Marchiavelli The man you hate to love ![]() Tinubu is just Making Use Of the Cat's-Paws. As stated in Law 26 of the 48 Laws of Power (which is practically a derivative of Niccolo Marchiavelli's book "THE PRINCE" ![]() You must seem a paragon of civility and efficiency: Your hands are never soiled by mistakes and nasty deeds. Maintain such a spotless appearance by using others as scapegoats and cat's-paws to disguise your involvement. |
Rose2014:Its not about availability of capable hands in the south. Everybody knows the answer is pretty obvious. It is about what is important to us. Appointment to kinsmen or delivering good governance. I hear many of the newly approved private refineries are from the south. Like I said elsewhere, even if each of those 65 refineries employs 100 people, that is a whopping 6500 jobs. I'll take 6500 jobs before considering if Ameachi or anybody from the south be given appointment. funkybully:Simple!! Then lobby to make the cut-off for the students from your state to be as low as that of the north! Why worry about the low cut-off from the north. People are being encouraged to go to school so they won't be readily available BH members tomorrow (and their girls married off at early age) and you are pained by that. If you are really desperate equality, then start working so the cut-off for enugu and anambra be reduced to the same level as that of yobe. funkybully:Now the highlighted part is the type of mentality that PISSES ME OFF. We are talking about cutting the cost of governance and you are still promoting 1 minister from each state. What has the number of ministerial portfolios got to do with the number of state? So if Ijebu and Anioma states are created tomorrow, we will have to create two extra ministerial portfolios as well. THAT IS JUST CRAP! And again, since you mentioned it, let me ask what the hell is the minister of state doing that the main minister cannot do? For example, will the ministry of education collapse without a minister of state for education? Is this not the wastage we are talking about. So you will be pissed off if PMB chooses to run a compact gov of 20 ministries abi since obviously the potfolios will not go round to every state. You may want to read what Festus Keyamu has to say about the legality of not following the usual 1 minister per state bu1lsh!t http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/keyamo-buhari-can-appoint-less-than-37-ministers/210359/ Finally again, I read Keyamu's perfect responce to people like you on another thread on this appointment saga: https://www.nairaland.com/2560234/keyamo-blasts-politicians-against-buharis |
PassingShot:First, I don't recollect where I picked up fight with the OP. I understand the fun part of the thread. I also understand the constitutional provision. But sincerely, this is where I actually have issues with the wailers. Many of them have derided the north for being parasites, that they don't contribute and are just "there to fulfill the federal quota system". They have long called for the federal character "thing" to be abolished. Well on a light note, now that it has been "somewhat" done away with, they are still wailing. That's why they say be careful of what you wish for because you may just get it. I said in an post earlier today and let me repeat it here. I am a Yoruba - proud one at that. But what did we gain when OBJ/Bankole were in their respective offices? Same goes for people from David Mark and Ekwerumadu's village. Now we have the VP and two slots in HOR, are we supposed to be happy just because our sons are their? Is that our dividends? OBJ our son sunk billions into PHCN without much to show. Now PMB is less than 100 days in office and we have recorded highest electricity transmission in our history. There are many more examples that I am sure you are aware of. The point I am making is it will be nice for PMB to follow federal character but that should be a secondary requirement. The main thing is to get the job done - even if it means choosing his team from one village. Will the people of Ogoni care about having their son in power now that PMB has given the order to clean their land? A feat their son could do in six years? We are in emergency situation to correct the rot created by 16 years of pdp misrule. we need to reduce corruption, win the war against insurgency, we need good health care, education and other social amenities. This is not the time to give federal character priority. And BTW, there are still other appointments to made. |
Rose2014:Sorry my friend, I refuse to by styishly co-opted. Why did you leave out the other part? gists: |
PassingShot:It doesn't need to be defended. As far as some of us are concerned, we will criticize PMB on the basis of stopping any laudable project started by previous administration or anything in that line. We will not criticize him on the basis of who he appoints or where such people come from - no matter how hard the wailers try. We voted for him to get the job done and not to mandate him to choose people across board. It will be nice if he choose his team across the country, PMB can as well choose his team from one village for all we care ![]() Oh BTW, the OP can screw the membership form in his anus. |
I don't reply to blog and facebook posts. But, I'll just say not bad. |

Alero3Arubi: Alero3Arubi:If this is true, this is the first time that PMB will be offending me ![]() Anyway, the source is not reliable. I'll believe it if I see it on punch, vanguard, thisday etc. But I sincerely hope this is not true. |
Wailers can continue to wail till thy kingdom come. Transformers are now working. you guys are free to hug the nearest one. Meanwhile, at the moment, PMB keeps delivering good governance. I will criticize him if/when he stops delivering good governance. socialmediaman:Thank you socialmediaman A certain fedora hat wearing son of the soil was in power for 6yrs, yet Ogoni land was not cleaned up. PMB took over and in less than 100 days, he orders a cleanup to make the life of the people better. Yet some are still hanging on to quota system. Ironically, it is still this same people that has been hypocritically asking why the quota system has not been abolished. |
cramjones:Thank you jare |
christinie:Pele (i.e sorry if it pains so much) we ENDURED the six harrowing years you people put this nation through with this same fo0lish religious/tribal politics. We will not allow you to distract the president. You can wail till thy kingdom come if you so wish or hug the nearest transformer (mind you the transformers are now working)
|
christinie:Two questions: 1) Did you vote for PMB? If not, save us the sermon 2) If you voted PMB, did you vote him to deliver good governance or to appoint people from all regions. As for me I voted him to deliver good governance. And at the moment, he is over-delivering! What on earth was my gain personally when OBJ was the president, Bankole was the speaker, now we have 2 principal slots at HOR and not to mention the VP from my state too. This is what I care about: Nigerian army establishes command in Sambisa Nigerian airforce uproots BH PMB orders clean up of Ogoni land PMB approves 65 private refineries (if each refinery employs 100 people, that's a whole 6500 job!! not much but FAARRR better than compared to NIS scam that killed Nigerians) Electricity supply hit all time high in Nigeria Refineries working etc....etc.... In Prof. Pat Utomi's voice: “Let’s get serious. Let‘s get to move this country forward and away from all this small, petty issues. To me it is not an important issue and I don’t want to deal with it. The President can appoint everybody from one village. As long as the people can get the job done, let them get it done. That is what Nigerians wanted and that is what they voted for”. |
dayo23:I didn't vote PMB to give my kins man appointments. I voted for him to perform. This is my take as I posted on another thread: gists: |
fulanimafia:May be you are right. But at the moment - I DON'T GIVE A DAMN! BTW I am Yoruba.
