Adindupeter:So who is the real slave here? The one that perpetually setup organisation for the elongation of the northern regime's tenure or the one that asked for regional autonomy at the last confab. Use your head dude. I bet by 2018 as we have seen in recent history, we will see another igbo man asking buhari to continue for another term. |
meccuno:Shame on you!! Is this all you can say? Is the topic about June 12? Did you not read where I said "and the rest is history"? Is June 12 the only point I raised? Confab was constituted last year and the SW was clamoring for regional autonomy; state police etc. If you online Biafra warriors had mounted pressures and gathered support for your representatives to also ask for similar reform, Biafra would have been much easier. Guess what your reps asked for - an extra state in NIGERA! Why should your reps agigate for an extra state/stake in country you now desperately want to leave. Hypocrites! A really big shame on you |
Why disturb us with Biafra? FUll disclosure: I am a full blown Yoruba man with no blood ties to other ethic group. I usually feel unconcerned by the secession proponent because I strongly believe any group of people have the right to determine what is best for them. AND THAT INCLUDE THE CALL FOR BIAFRA. Ordinarily, I also don't give a damn about the operation of the so called radio biafra because truth-be-told NADECO also operated a radio station! BUT the only difference is that NADECO did not incite the people against the nation and I don't recall any call by NADECO for people to take up arms. We have read the reports of the call for 1 million rifles and 1 million men to carry the rifles. This is where I get concerned and particularly because I see a huge disconnect in recent history and this hypocritical call for the cessation movement. June 12 elections was cancelled and the rest is history. But do we remember the role played by the Association of Better Nigerians (ABN) - better known as the Area Boys of Nigeria. That association was in the fore front of clamoring for the cancellation of that election and seek the elongation of the Babangida regime. That association was created by a prominent Igbo man - Aurthur Nzeribe. The question is where were the secessionist wailing babies when one of their prominent fathers pioneered the extension of a military regime led by a Hausa man at the detriment of their southtern brothers/neighbours? We all know (except for a few babies on nairaland) the amazing role played by another prominent Igbo son - Daniel Kanu in the call for the extension of yet another military junta led by non other than the infamous Abacha. May we ask again why there was no call for Biafra creation. Daniel Kanu also form an organisation call Youth Earnerstly Ask for Abach (YEAA) and organised 1-million man march in supporto of Abacha's proposed transition from military to civilian president. I guess Nnamdi Kanu hadn't received his Biafra calling at that time. By the way, I will like to see how Buhari will respond to this man when he tries to renew his Nigerian Passport ![]() We also know of a certain Ifeanyi Uba who also setup TAN to campaign for GEJ's second term bid. Yet again the wailers didn't see the need to call for Biafra and in fact supported and campaigned for GEJ's second term bid as Nigerian president. Honestly, all of the above cases didn't pain me. The one that infuriate me the most is the fact that the father of Biafra himself the late IKEMBA OJUKWU FORMED A POLITICAL PARTY AND CONTESTED ELECTION TO BE PRESIDENT, MANY OF THESE WAILING BABIES DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM!!! All of a sudden they hypocritically remember "Their Was a Country" to be re-created when their hero GEJ lost woefully in the last election. Now they will not let us rest and asking fo0lish question why the Yorubas are not calling for cessation? Well we also ask why should the some people alway seek the approval of other tribes to validate their ego. Is this not a big sign of low self esteem? Thank God their is life outside the internet. I have met and worked with many Igbos in real life and they are very reasonable people and far from the wailing babies on Nairaland. |
PMB my hero Tinubu my. . . . . Make somebody no sue me for copyright |
At least, there is no Masonic handshake sign. That's comforting ![]() |
Nigerians!!! The guys in CNN will be laughing big time at the fo0lishness of this thread. What is it with Nigerians that we like burning energy on non issue. So CNN calls Nigeria a Muslim country - so damn what? Even if it is not true does that make Emeka less a Christian. Will that force Bayo to start attending Jumat prayers? Will it convert David Mark to an Imam? I don't have the statistics of the demographs, but CNN can call Nigeria a Budist nation if they want - fact remains I know the God I serve and no article on CNN, Routers, BBC Aljazera etc can change that. And I guess same applies to everybody. Wailers can continue to blame Buhari for what CNN right. You lot can go and hug the next transformer. |
PassingShot:I have always said it that political will the missing link to constant electricity supply. How come many other private entities have sufficient gas to run their power turbines. So you may not be far from the truth with your Buhariphobia theory. We don't need any sensless bloody revolution that will lead to the death of millions. What we need an upright leader that will "dare" anybody to misbehave. Buhari fits that profile perfectly. Wailers can hug the nearest transformer because i hear say they are now working (my transformer don't blow so I can't confirm if dia is constant electricity) |
And what exactly is the point of this thread? |
I am for everybody and I am for nobody ~PMB Now I want to see the TANoids wail in their usual wailing character ![]() Now, the north will not come out and shout victimization but if a certain Ihejirika is invited for questioning, we all know we need to order container-load of handkerchiefs for many wailers. Like the police will say in their usual "respectful" manner. Oga Dansuki does not have to worry about anything. All he need do is just follow them to their office and explain - that's all ![]() |
I just hope the TANoids especially the Biafra wing will be sincere and honest enough to eat their words about PMB having a pro north/islamic agenda. Within a week, this administration appointed Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas who hails from Cross River State as the Chief of Naval Staff and now has arrested a top ranking Northern figure in caliber of Dasuki. PMB just proved that he is really for EVERYBODY and NOBODY. Now the change is beginning to manifest. |
Gravanno:You see what this people are doing to us? Now you remind me that Olise replaced Keshi. But I just remember that Keshi himself replaced Siasia; Siasia took over from Augustine Eguavoen. The north and the west did not complain all this while. Quite possibly, Olise will hand over to Dan Amokachi or Nnankwo or Okocha ![]() |
But sometimes people should be consistent with their claims and what they want. On one hand, their is this call for cessation. People wanting to leave Nigeria and form their own country called Biafra. The next minute this same people complain at the slightest opportunity to register their displeasure about not being carried along within the appointees of the Nigerian government - a country they so much desire to leave. On one hand they claim Biafra encompasses the whole of SS and SE. While the veracity of that claim is subject of another debate, one would think they will at least be pacificed that "one of their sons" Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas who hails from Cross River State is now the new the new Chief of Naval Staff - appointed by president Buhari. But what do we have, this same people now complain yet again that they are yet again marginalised by Nigera. This cast serious shadows of doubt about the sincerity of those saying SS should join the Biafra bandwagon. It is of course left to the people of SS to determine which way is best for them. They claim they developed Lagos and so deserve to have a good representation in the Lagos government. But when we point out their son within the cabinet of the government of Lagos, they yet again claim Igbokwe does not represent the interest of Ndigbo in Lagos. The question I keep asking is, is it until the Obi or Nnamdi Kanu is appointed by Lagos or FG that they'll be pacified? I am definitely not in the business of advising people and it is certainly not my business, but I guess for any group to be taken seriously, they need to be consistent with what they want/claim. They should take a lesson from man they so much hate with passion - Jagaban Tinubu- who refused to join the ruling party from inception and now his consistency has paid off for him. If history is anything to go by as a pointer, I bet by 2018, we will see some people from SE calling for Buhari to continue as the life president. Just as we saw with Abacha, OBJ and GEJ |
drss:What is your problem? is it the ministers you want or you want result? For all I care the perceived increment may just be because of higher tide in the main hydro power stations. But who know, PH_Whatever may just have sat up because of the fear of the president - the real oga at the top - not one clueless somebody. |
WombRaiders:I didn't this. pls tell me something. Did you conduct a survey or what? Keep wallowing in stup!dity UAE ISIS Airstrikes: Gulf Country Launches Strikes On Militant Group http://www.ibtimes.com/uae-isis-airstrikes-gulf-country-launches-strikes-militant-group-state-media-reports-1811190 UAE resumes anti-ISIS strikes http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/10/world/isis-syria-iraq/ Jordan and Emirates Carry out Airstrikes in Syria Against Isis http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/11/world/middleeast/united-arab-emirates-resume-airstrikes-against-isis.html?_r=0 Iraq launches operation to dislodge ISIS from Anbar http://www.cbsnews.com/news/iraq-announces-operation-to-dislodge-isis-from-anbar-province/ |
Unfortunately for TANOIDS this news does not fit into the narrative of buhari is an Islamic fundermentalist. If gej had done this they would have praised him to high heavens. If buhari had dine this for Muslim pilgrims, the crying noice of wailers will continue for weeks to come. Meanwhile some of them actually like this news deep inside. But they just must criticize just because their clueless master lost. A bit of sarcasm: Buhari is just pretending. His plan to islamize Nigeria is still in full swing. Tanoids will not be fooled ![]() |
nextdoor84:at the bolded ![]() |
Lilprincey:I don't think so. I think all he needs is a good/brilliant lawyer. He has a good case here. The setting of the video is certainly that of drug barrons - wrapped substances, cutting of the substance and tasting it, weapons, ladies etc. But the video also showed that the substance was later poured into boiling water and turned to SEMOVITA WHICH WAS DISHED IN A PLATE WITH SOME NICE PIECES OF BUSHMEATS AND HE ATE IT at the end of the video O.B.O = Silly boy ![]() |
I have always told people that there is freedom of speech everywhere in the world - iran, iraq, saudi, russia china, north korea, etc and of course nigeria. However, nobody can guaranty anyone freedom after speech not even in the u.s, u.k, france etc. You make a careless speech (or as in this case a careless video), you better be prepared for the potential consequence irrespective of where you are located. The last time I checked, Edward Snowden is still hiding from the world supposed leader/crusader of freedom of speech |
Nature8:And I guess that person also tied GEJ's hands and prevented him from doing his job when he was the commander-n-chief of the armed forces. As I said several times in the past GEJ would have gotten the support of the entire south if he apprehended the sponsors of BH and he would have won by wide margin. But the daunce chose to play silly ethnic/religious card. |
Tinubu - the man I so much hate to love ![]() |
DaBullIT:Somebody shout Haleluyah!! A honest nairaland christian at last. What a rare gem. But what a minute. If you have to, you will trade your Nigerian passport for the opportunity to go to the United ARAB EMIRATE - a full-fledged Islamic country where Sharia law is practiced at its fullest! So I am tempted to say your problem then is not necessarily with Islam but with Northern Nigerian way of interpreting/implementing it. If this is the case, then you are absolutely right because myself and many other Nigerians (both muslims and christians alike) also have serious reservation with the Northern Nigerian way of interpreting/implementing islam. |
WombRaiders:Wow. Can you see how brainwashed you have become? How can I be one of them when I posted examples of people lynching bh suspects? How can I be one of them when I advocated military action when JEG was rumored to be considering negotiation. Are there some muslims that are happy with what BH is doing? My guess is yes there may be some. But to generalise and say myself and many other muslims are happy with their terror activities shows how unreasonable your thinking is. In fact, I am tempted to say Naija christians like you are the one that are somewhat happy with what BH are doing. In your hatred for north and muslim, you guys will rather see BH continue with their carnage just to feel justified about your believes about islam/muslims. I'll just ignore the rest of what you said. |
WombRaiders:I don't have to follow a narrative with such a blatantly false opening statement as shown in the articles I posted. Sorry I don't have time for such. By the way we did you not mention Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Syria and every other Muslim cesspit?Just like you don't also mention Mexico, Rwanda, Italy (from where vatican is carved), Honduras, Colombia, Lesotho. In fact a quick look at top 10 countries with HIGHEST MURDER RATES IN THE WORLD on wiki shows ALL are christian dominated countries |
DaBullIT:Yet you will gladly trade your Nigerian or Biafran passport for an opportunity to go to Dubai in UAE which obviously is a Christian Nation. Abi no be so? |
The real reason Boko Haram is still yet to be defeated is because they enjoy wide spread tacit support from northern Muslims. The very first statement put me off as this is obviously from another bigot trying to malign anything islam and north. I guess the northern (especially the muslims) are very happy with the several bomb blasts in the mosques up north. So happy that they even lynched and killed people on the ground of suspicion that they had bomb on them. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/175049-angry-youth-stone-suspected-boko-haram-member-death-kano.html http://www.punchng.com/news/mob-kills-suspected-bomber-in-kano/ |
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — A teenage girl strapped with explosives ran away from a crowded mosque this week, killing only herself and cementing suspicions that Boko Haram is using unwilling captives in its terror campaign in northeast Nigeria.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-3140719/Bomber-ran-away-feeds-fears-extremists-using-captives.html |
All I know is that over 90% of Nigerians are either Muslims or Christians. The two groups believes that in the begining God created Adam and Eve. We both believe that this God is ALL POWERFULL (i.e whatever HE does is final and no one can question or reverse HIS decision) and ALL KNOWING (i.e so FULL of wisdom that all KNOWLEGDE emanate from HIM) SO if this God is most knowledgeable, how come he chose to create Adam and Eve. Why didn't he create ADAM and John; or Adam and Peter; or Eve and Sandra; or Eve and Mary? He could have chosen to create Adam and Moses after all, he is all powerful and no one can question him. BUT in HIS infinite WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE and POWER, HE chose to create ADAM and EVE. In fact, virtually all his creations has some form of duality (opposite) - like Night and day; Hot and Cold, The sky Up and oceans Down, Pleasure and pain. Our knowledge is soooooo intangible compared to His yet we feel we are smart enough and want to correct God. I am not a fan of Mugabe of Zimbabwe but he gave a food for thought when he was reported to have said "even satan (presumably male) approached Eve" |
What?!! I never thought about this and didn't ever occur to me that Biafra will be a land-locked country i.e no access to the ocean. Well I guess its just because its none of my business. BTW every group that want to leave is free to do so as long as it does not involve war that will get innocent women, children and the weak killed in millions. War is Hell!! Let those who have ears hear. https://twitter.com/VeryOldPics/status/567252090582761472/photo/1 http://i.imgur.com/FIf7oec.jpg
