hmmmmm
Sungbo's Eredo has also been connected with the legend of the Queen of Sheba which is recounted in both the Bible and Koran. In the Old Testament, she is described as having sent a caravan of gold, ivory and other goods from her kingdom to King Solomon. In the Koran she is an Ethiopian sun worshiper named Bilqis involved in the incense trade who converts to Islam. Legends of the contemporary Ijebu clan link the Eredo to this fabled woman, a wealthy, childless widow who they know as Bilikisu Sungbo. According to them, the monument was built as her personal memorial. In addition to this, her grave is believed to be located in Oke-Eiri, a town in a Muslim area just north of the Eredo. Pilgrims of Christian, Muslim and traditional African religions annually trek to this holy site in tribute to her.

In your heart you know that a separate state of Odua is not possible as you know the north will never let you go.

Your region will be turned into a province under an Emirate of Arewastan conveniently renamed Oduastan Province.

The north will provide the right northern candidate to head your emirate.

Enjoy.
Yes, you are right and we have heard you. Hope you are happy now.
Now run off and go create a thread showing the beauty of SE that is not a province and leave this thread for the owners.

You have nothing so stop claiming to want Nigeria dead.
Why don't you leave us with our lies and let us enjoy it. Why is it paining you this much. You should even be happy because he is asking for what some of your people as asking for: breakup
Why don't you focus this your energy and enthusiasm to the development of your region instead of expending energy debunking the obvious success story of another man's region. Or is their nothing positive to report about your village?

They are probably removing as much from ogun . I doubt ogun is collecting royalties or derivation from the mining

Many of our people are impoverished because we have to share what we have created with others.
Let the others go and share the oil but free us
As much as I share your sentiments, but I am really indifferent to whether or not Nigeria breaks up. The thing is Ogun is just realizing she has been a sleeping giant all along. Ogun has no business being a civil service state. Same can be said of other Oodua states.
I believe we will achieve the same feat if we get regional autonomy. We don't have to be like some people asking for breakup of the country. Not that we won't accept it if it is offered though. We have to be careful the way we ask for things. It is very easy to destroy things at war and we have the most to lose if we are reckless in asking for somethings.

Honestly, I agree COMPLETELY with this your last statement. In fact I somehow wish and hope that the rumours of oil discovery in Lagos is not true. If lessons from Nigeria is anything to go by, oil is more of curse than blessing (because we didn't manage the proceeds well).

Akanda eda, comprehension really is your problem.SW came with, but who's delegates sabotaged it in committee, for fear of APC dominance and seeking special status,if not Ondo and Lagos?.Tell me what would have been the fate of your "region" without Lagos, economic powerhouse and Ondo, your only oil-producing state?.The whole pre-conference mouthing fell like a pack of cards after those two made their positions known.
Yes,SE asked for equality of states across zones, but more importantly, they came with a position paper on restructuring, same as they submitted to the NASS constitutional review committee.Apart from enu ofo, which one did SW come with, pray tell?
Yes exactly what I have suspected. You are not as well informed as you sound. So you mean Lagos, the heart of APC with Tinubu as political leader shut down the yoruba call for regional autonomy because according to you "for fear of APC dominance and seeking special status". How ironic can that be when it is the same Lagos under Tinubu that has been championing case for regional autonomy and state police since the OBJ administration. Shove your lie into your anus as it is dead on arrival.

On your economic point: What does Ondo even contribute sef? I will not debate with you because you are one of the deluded ones who think of SW as parasites. But I will point you to this article:

7 Nigerian States With The Highest IGR
The National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday released the Internally Generated Revenue profile of 23 states of the federation for the year 2014.

According to the report, Lagos maintains its lead over other states, generating 47 per cent of what all the other 22 states collected as IGR in the same period. Here are 7 states with the highest internal generated revenue:

Lagos - N276.1bn
Rivers - N89.1bn
Delta - N42.8bn
Enugu - 19.2bn
Ogun - N17.4bn
Oyo - N16.3bn
Akwa Ibom - N15.9bn
Source: http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/7-nigerian-states-with-the-highest-igr.113268/
I can see three south western state on that list of top 7 states with highest IGRs. And Ondo state is not even on the list. The ranking as far as I am concerned is not even fair to Enugu, Ogun and Oyo. Because Rivers and Delta can easily tax the oil companies and call it IGR. This is still oil revenues as far as I am concerned. But lets leave the ranking the way it is.

So tell me out of top 7 SW alone has 3 states and none of those is oil bearing. Are you still asking dumb question of what the economy of SW will be without Lagos and Ondo?

Olodo let me educate you. Your beloved brethren asked for an extra state in the SE. It was SW that you now hate for not supporting your fo0lish war mongering Biafra agenda that was resolute in asking for regional autonomy. It was SS that asked for the closest to what SW asked. SS asked for resource control and devolution of power.

South West
The South-West delegation was headed by Chief Olu Falae. The region came with a federalist agenda that included state police and regional government.
South East
The region came to the conference tagging itself as the most marginalised. The South-East delegates wanted more states and reparation for the Civil War, among others.

Execllent points in the article.
But the problem is most guys shouting Biafra today are just hyocrites wailing babies who suddenly realise "their was country" called Biafra when GEJ lost the elections. They didn't know they had to call for Biafra during the National Conference when they asked for additional state in Nigeria.
Funny enough, SW asked for regional autonomy which would have boosted the opportunity to get Biafra had the Igbos asked for that reform too.

Now GEJ lost out and Kanu suddenly recieves his Biafra calling while chilling in the UK where he travelled to with his Nigerian passport.

So If this is workable, ask your friends and relatives far away (i.e where your story is not the talk of the town) if you can come stay with them for a while and look for job when you get there. Also when you get there, look for a good church/mosque with and participate in their programs or even voluntary associations like lions, rotary, sport club etc. Just get really social. try convince your friends and relative where you are living now to help with fund for the trip -except they have a better solution.

But even if you have problems that's doesn't limit you from helping another right?
And god place this people on earth to help
So why couldn't he use the power of his god to solve his problem? I personally believe we ALL have DIRECT connection GOD even though for some of us our connections are corroded. But the direct line is still there. So we don't really need any intermediary to reach HIM. At best just seek advice from peopleinstead of going from one religious house to another looking for solutions. There was no intermediary when God created you and HE certainly didn't consult any entity before creating you.

Do you really think God hasn't seen your situation or heard your voice? He is not blind and He can hear you. For me I have prayed for some things in the past that were not given. After some years, I had to THANK God for not granting those prayers. I don't know what you are asking for, but may be you will be like me in some time in future.

Another thing you shod remember is that the cartapilar has to pass througb the cacoon before transforming to a beautiful butterfly. A stone in the catapult has to be pulled back before launching and flying much further ahead. Maybe you are just in a preparatory phase. But then I don't know. What I know is seeking such help will cost you far much more than what you are going g through right now.

For me I suggest you remain faithful to God. Keep on praying to God to give you the strength to see you through this trying times. Be rest assured He will not test anyone beyond what each person can bear and there are people going through worse situations.

OP I will just ask you a simple question: DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THE WITCHDOCTOR YOU WANT TO VISIT DOESN'T HAVE PROBLEMS HIS OWN?
I can bet he has his own problems too. Same goes for all the pastors you have visited.
True God doesn't gain anything from your misery. But tell me one Biblical figure that didn't face adversity in life.

I don't know what your challenge is but as a Muslim I can bet that your problem will be solved whether you visit the witchdoctor or not as long as you continue to be prayerful and faithful to God. We are told to seek God's help with PATIENCE, PERSEVERANCE AND PRAYERS. But the problem is if you visit the witchdoctor, your issue may come to an end immediately and you will attribute the solution to the witchdoctor or his power or his god.
Besides I can also bet that his solution will cost you far much more than you are going through.

Having said that, PMB should also know that he is the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. And until Biafra is granted, SE is also part of his constituency. As such appointment and national development should spread across the country evenly.

pazienza:
Only fools take these IGR they brandish around serious!

IGR that does not reflect on the people's standard of living is nothing but paper and cooked up IGR.

How far with Osun's cooked up IGR, where is Osun state today? States that have half of its citizens working for government, will have false IGR, as government can easily tax half of the population, since they are under government employment, but this is misleading, as the so called IGR is govt money that should have been invested in the state and not on salary payment.

Little wonder immediately the FG allocation shrinked, their paper IGR crashed as the state government couldn't pay workers and so can't collect their phantom IGR in form of taxes. They simply have no informal sector, they are all reliant on crude oil, and will start chanting war, the minute they hear Biafra!
Oga, what's your problem with osun? did you see osun on the list? Why didn't you pick up on Imo as well? I sense bigotry/tribalism in this your post.
BTW as far as I am conerned, the only real IGR figure that we should cheer are that of Lagos, Enugu, Ogun and Oyo.
Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom can easily tax oil companies like Shell, Chevron, Total, Mobil which I still consider oil money.

No wonder Lagos is said to be the 5th richest in Africa if it were to be a country. The IGR is almost double that of the combined IGRs of other states! Kudos to APC (Damn 3 SW/APC states in "the real top 5" IGRs without oil companies).

South West can and WILL survive without oil allocation. Awolowo proved it and this is another proof. We just have to look inwards. The more we wait for allocation from Abuja, the less resourceful we become. Give the South South and part of South East their oil. Regional autonomy is key to the future.
PoliticsRe: New Well Drilling Moves Lagos Closer To First Oil - Punch by gists: 1:29pm On Jul 28, 2015
I honestly feel/pray that no oil should be found.
First it will make Lagos less resoursefull as it is today because the tendency is there to rely on petro-dollar as major source of revenue.
The other point is Lagos is already farrrr too over populated. Another discovery of Oil will mean more people trying to survice economic hardship will be moving to Lagos.
I for one think Lagos and Ogun state should be merged together. Lagos has the wealth the people of Ogun need, while Ogun has the land that lagos can effectively put to use. So a scratch-my-back-and-I-scratch your-back opportunity exist there. But the ego crisis between the two neighbors over who becomes the governor and commissioners will not let it work.

How easy is it to go on a horse ride (which is very bumpy) with a book (Quran) in one hand and a sword in the other and still be able to conquer the people? Seriously, some people just swallow lies and falshood and to make matter worse they keep spreading the lies without ever using their brain to objectively analyze the subject.
I don't expect this little post to change anybody's mind but the aim is to give objective minds a logical line of argument.

History:
There are Christians in the middle east before the advent of Islam - FACT
So did Muhammed wiped them out as some people want us to believe? THE FACT IS THAT HISTORY DOES NOT SAY SO. Even if we are too lazy to read and do a little research "googling", we should know there are still christians in the Middle East today. I am referring to ARAB Christians whose forefathers/foremothers have been practicing Christians since the birth of Christianity in the first century AD.

So the question is how come these group of people still exists today if Muhammed forced all of them to convert? By their logic, there shouldn't be any of these people on earth because they all should have either been killed or converted. But today, the Copts in Egypt still exists. They were not converted nor wiped out even though they have lived for centuries under Islamic government. So also are the Maronite in Lebanon (according to wikipedia), same goes for the Assyrian in Iraq/Iran/Turkey.

While there have been persecution of Christians since the time of Jesus (in the hands of the Jews), these ignorant people fail to realise that the major christian persecutions happened under fellow Roman christians. The history records are there to read for those that are not too lazy. A little bit of reading would have save them from ignorantly displaying their fo0lishness in public online domain for many to see.

I have always asked these people to provide a credible source to back up the claim that Muhammed set out to wipe out others who did not agree to practice Islam. I can bet they will not provide any form of reasonable argument but just insults.

Indonesia
I like the Indonesia example as it is a country with farrrr majority of the nationales being muslims. But their is no history of any Islamic war in that country. So go figure.

EUROBOMBER:
I have carefully analysed recent events and taken time to study a lot of what happened before during and after the Biafran war.

The truth is that if the Igbos succeed in pulling out of Nigeria, the Niger Delta might not completely be part of the new country but they will definitely also seek to be on their own and manage their resources. This would effectively leave only the SW and the North in Nigeria. If it turns out this way, the Yorubas most likely would also gently ask to be left to be on their own. At the end of it all, we go our separate ways.

Let me quickly add here that Igbo land is much bigger than the Nigerian politically defined SE. Should Nigeria break today, all Igbo-speaking parts of the SS will be part of our new country. The Igbos will force no tribe to be part of us, we will accept those that want to stay with us and those that don't want to be with us will be free to stand on their own or join any other groups they so wish. I am saying this loud and clear so that some people will not come here and start shouting, "We are not part of your Biafra, leave us alone, leave our oil alone."

The Igbos can do very well without oil. There are many countries in the world without oil and are doing very fine. Germany is the most powerful economy in Europe today and they don't have a cup of crude oil there. Israel moved into a desert and converted it into a country very comfortable for habitation. The list is endless. Recent trends have also shown that oil is becoming worthless by the day. What really matters for a nation to be great is the quality of human resources available.

For the parts of the SS that would choose to be part of the new country, we can accept to run a regional system of government between the core Igbo states and parts of the Niger Delta. We can even accept a solution such that both regions would take 80% of revenue accrued within the regions and contribute 20% to the center. This the Niger Delta can never get in this present Nigeria.

For those people from the SS always shouting leave our oyel, I want to tell you that the Northerners are already drinking your oil and have even become drunk on it. You are shouting at Igbos to leave your oyel whereas Northerners are taking the same oil from under your nose and you can do nothing. How myopic and sentimental can some people be?

On a closing note, I believe in one Nigeria but one where there is justice, fairness & equity. For me, Buhari should hand over to an Igbo man if Igbos are truly part of Nigeria. We are part of the big three and too big to be ignored.
I like the tone of your post. Quite matured unlike the wailing babies on nairaland.
But while you are asking for Biafra, have you wondered why the Igbo asked for an extra state in the last confab? The south west primarily asked for regional autonomy which in my opinion would have made attainment Biafra far much easier if your leaders had asked for similar reform. Many of your brethren were happy when the news of Igbos winning slots in Lagos in the just concluded elections. How can you be asking for another country when you are happy your people won rep slots in Lagos?
I think your leaders are actually the ones sabotaging your Biafra dreams. You can't be asking for Biafra and also Anioma state at the same time rejoicing for claiming HOR seats in Lagos.
