Btw, I don't think APC is worried about some votes that was never theirs to start with...
And by my calculation, the bolded is the reason Ndigbo will come third yet again - Ndigbo will not presidency because they've sold that to gej and in the unlikely event that gej doesn't contest, pdp will present a northern muslim candidate grin (that's rubbing salt/pepper to injury); Ndigbo will not the vp because pdp will certainly present a northern muslim candidate for vp as running mate to gej. The only chance of getting the vp is through apc. sadly i don't see apc risking valuable votes from other regions by giving ndigbo that slot not when it is clear it will lose that region. So yet again ndigbo will have to settle for 3rd at best - really sad .

ruffp: Which sector has he fixed??? power? Infastructure? Security? Education? Corruption??......oh sorry, corruption is not nigeria's main problem.........eh......sorry, there is nothing like corruption sef!
Mehn, you are even talking about fixing. Some of us are not even asking him to fix. All we are saying just leave it as it was instead of making things worse!. Did Jonathan bring insurgency to Nigeria? The true honest answer is no. But under gej insurgency have gone unchecked and a whole Nigerian Army (with SEVERAL successful missions outside the country) cannot contain insurgency.
Did gej bring corruption to Nigeria? The honest answer is no. But under his watch corruption keeps breaking records after records.
Did gej bring religious/tribal sentiments to Nigeria? The honest answer is no. But No administration has used religion and tribalism to polarize/divide Nigeria like Gej.

Does it mean this administration is completely useless? The honest answer is it is next to being completely useless if we are not safe in our country; I cannot feel safe in the area I live simply because I belong to one religion or ethinic/tribal group. Of what benefit is it to be the biggest economy in africa if school girls cannot return home from school safely?
There are more. But for me security is the ultimate (followed by corruption) - without security, nothing else matters.

Read the guy's sentences again and decide if it makes sense:

Is GMB hammering NE? No body has come out to prove he is involved with bh. Even the mumu-ish justineu didn't provide a shred of evidence to link GMB to bh.

BTW, I have never praised or made excuses for boko haram. I have always critise boko haram. Why on earth should I or anybody say amen to a condition that we have been criticizing and begging the government to use its resources to stop?

This is what he should have written: May God provide securty for my life the way GMB provided security for Nigeria during his tenure. May God fight any insurgent planning to disturb my life the way GMB fought insurgents in Nigeria during his tenure.

If he said this, it will make sense and you can accuse me of not saying amen. You cannot accuse anyone of not saying amen to something s/he has been criticizing. But is the height of hypocrisy and f00lishment not to say amen to a prayer fashioned toward what you have been praising and clamoring for more.

I believe I have said enough on this.

What you wrote makes absolutely no sense and totaly against my position. I cannot say yes to something I campeign against and do not believe in and which is also an algation you have not proven.

You ignoramously said boko haram issue is makin gudluk regime to be slow thus prevnting/slowing economic transformation. let me ask you how has bh activities in the rural north eastern part of the country got to do with economic development? Apart from kano and Abuja, how many major cities that really contributes massively to the economic growth of the country has boko haram disturbed so far? How many activities of the terrorist have been recorded in the commercial nerve centers of the country namely onitsha, aba, port harcour, and of course Lagos. How many boko haram activity did he face as the gov of baylsa? What economic transformation did he leave behind in bayelsa?

Who told you Buhari's regime was not equally if not more difficult? It all depends on how you handle situations. People have posted the episodes of insurgent crises during buhari's regime. The way and manner he handled it made it look like piece of cake to f00ls like you. Same goes for OBJ and Yar'Adua - the manner in which they handled it make gej the weakest/dumbest president in the world who prefers to blame the oppositon for any challenge he faces even though he has all the nation's resources under his control.

Again, since this gov is th best according to you and have achieved giant strides, I pray for you one more time: May GOD Almighty in HIS infinite power continue to make every aspect of your life which include but not limited to your finances be like Nigerian finance under gej; your health be like Nigerian health care under gej, your children education be like Nigerian education under gej, your security be like Nigerian security under gej. This was one of the reasons why I didn't vote for ebola Jonathan in 2011. It was too obvious that he will be a weak president even if he wanted to do something positive. But above all, there was absolutely nothing that suggested he even had the capacity - even till this moment. And some folks still want the coward-in-chief to go for another 2nd term. Whlie failing to recognise the fact that there are very few -if any- Ijaw victims in the northern violence. The people from your Messiah's tribe are not likely to be attacked - only the Igbo. What a shame.

gej supporters mainly from the SE are doing more harm than good to themselves. Why support a clueless man under whom many of your tribe men die like chickens while he goes on skelewu dance competition. There were far better candidates you people could have supported and voted for in 2011 that were southern christians (if having another northern muslim was/is a taboo). The same applies today, why support a man that obviously doesn't give a damn about how many innocent people are killed when you have far more capable hands that are southern christians. Although it too late now - you guys blew your chance 4 years ago. 2, I am eating locally grown & packed Nigeria rice courtesy of GEJ's transformation of the Agric sector.

3, I drive from Lagos to Onitsha in 5hrs now compared to 8 - 9hrs 4yrs ago.

4, 1 gallon of fuel i bought 8 days ago is still in generator, compared to daily 8 liters spent daily before, courtesy of GEJ's power reforms.

During my university days, this is how we used to TEASE ourselves and enjoy the "buoyant" week when you're still loaded with a few change in the pocket i.e eating of what we call supermarket garri or rice. PoliticsShould We Really Commend GEJ Over Electricity? by gists(op): 7:30pm On Aug 31, 2014
I hate to do this but with the recent wave of propaganda on increased generation capacity in the country, I feel like I need to chip in a few lines.

The truth is the Gej administration didn't cause the power problem in the country. But it should not claim to have in anyway improve it or done anything no one has done before. It has been reported that this administration should be praised for the privatisation of PHCN (not minding the fact that the obj administration started the process) and that we are now seeing the result because generation has now increased to 4500MW.

Contrary to this, the fact is that the total electric power available in the country has for a while been between 3000MW and 4000MW -depending on the year you inquire. The following are infos freely available to anyone reading this. Please don't be deceived. I will praise this administration if/when available power gets to 6000MW (which has never in our history been achieved before)

Extracted from The Wall Street Journal of October 30, 2007
http://blogs.wsj.com/environmentalcapital/2007/10/30/nigerias-power-problem/
. . . .Ransome Owan, chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission said Nigeria requires investments of three trillion naira (about $24.8 billion) in the energy sector to provide adequate electricity for the country. “Experts tell us today we can use up to 14,000 to 15,000 megawatts, but our capacity to generate is about 4,000 megawatts,” Owan said.

Adeniyi said Yar`Adua will hold talks with German power and energy experts to form a partnership for rapid development of Nigeria’s power supply infrastructure. The government held talks with German energy and power experts in Abuja a fortnight ago.

Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Power and Steel in 2005 selected GE Energy, a unit of General Electric & Co., to supply 18 gas turbines, additional equipment and services for five gas-fired independent power plants in the Niger Delta area that will add more than 2,000 megawatts to the country’s electricity grid. . . .
So it was even the Yar'Adua's gov that talked to General Electric and some people had also credited this clueless gov for it.

Daily truat 6 OCTOBER 2008
http://allafrica.com/stories/200810060856.html
. . . The Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) end of Septem-ber recorded the highest peak energy generation of 86,564.89 megawatts hour with a conti-nuous generation output of not below 3,400mw throughout the day. . .
December 2005
NIGERIA ENERGY STUDY REPORT
Department of Governance and Technology for Sustainability
University of Twente

http://www.utwente.nl/mb/cstm/research/urbanenergy/reports/nigeria_rep/

The energy crisis in Nigeria is further reflected in the performance of its electricity sector. NEPA’s current generation capacity is just 4000 megawatts while government’s target is 10,000 MW by 2007.
There are more references from both local and int'l sources but I'm sure smart and unbiased minds already get the gist.

Of course pdp e-dogs free to bark at me.

Peace.
PoliticsRe: Christian Association Of Nigeria Political Agenda That Must Not Fly by gists: 4:53pm On Aug 31, 2014
BetaThings: So how come Gowon - a Christian - ruled for 9 years when the majority of the people who carried out the coup that brought him to power were Muslims
When Gowon was toppled in a bloodless coup it took mostly Christians just 6 months to assassinate Muratala in a bloody coup
Did the Muslims call it a religious thingh
The first coup that was planned in this country (by Christians we must remember) led to the death of 2 Muslims at the top
Did Muslims stop trusting Christiians
The 2nd coup also brought a Christian into power
So where exactly are these calculating Muslims

When Muslims clashed with Birom people, Christians said our people are being attacked
when Muslims who went for eid were killed, roasted and eaten (yes eaten - search for Jos cannibalism on youtube)
Christians kept quiet

If you want to use your Owerri incident (which we cannot verify) as evidence against Muslims in general
What should we do about the Jos cannaibalism by Birom Christians?

So when exactly were Christians not in government?
Under Balewa, Gowon, Murtala, Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha (the most powerful person under him was Jerry Useni)
So when did you leave politics for Muslims?

In addition, can you tell me the people who were the cabinet members under Buhari?
My point - critical ministries were headed by Christians
If Buhari was a Jihadist would there not have been outrage when he had absolute power as a military head of state
We should remember that Katsina where Buhari hails from gave Jonathan 25% of their votes
Yet they are supposed to be so intolerant of Christians
But people who have some selfish agenda would never admit it

If violence is fight over power
how come Boko Haram became violent under Yaradua
Or was it not Yaradua government that killed their leader
Were Muslims losing power under Yaradua?

And how come the founder of Boko Haram is now working for Jonathan?

If you want to know, unless you make a Boko Haram member president, they will not stop
Buhari is not their candidate

Biafra (to me) was a political issue, not religious
Afterall the head of state then - Gowon - is a Christian
He cannot be fighting jihad against Christians

Infact Islam does not allow me to discuss ethnicity
I should not discriminate against Muslims from SW, SE, SS or anywhere else

I hope you know that posts like these are what the extremists like
Let me ask you - how many people had heard of Yusuf Suleiman or Shekau before the advent of Boko Haram?
So how did he become the leader of all Muslims

The problem is that Christians are searching for a real crisis
By the time mainstream Christians start thinking like Shekau (my people only) then mainstream Muslims will sto supporting Christian candidates
Or do you believe only Christians voted for Jonathan in 2011?

By the time you say only Christians should rule, what do you think you will have
a country where no place is safe for anyone
Why do you think accidental discharge happens indiscriminately now
Because the religious differences are not pronounced

Your solution is a recipe for perpetual instability
Check out Rwanda - beneath the veneer of calm is deep tension which will inevitably boil over
WOW!!
This is what I call TKO.
Couldn't have ever said it better.
What else can I say other than to ask GOD in HIS infinite mercy continue to bless and increase you in wisdom and capacity (irrespective of your religious affiliation).

The truth is that igbos are doing more harm than good to gej's 2nd term bid by trying to so hard to ring this religious/tribal sentiments into our brain. But it just won't work.

BetaThings: Let us talk about where there is a mix
in 1979 - 1983 all the SW states (Ogun, Oyo, Ondo) were ruled by Christian-Christian tickets
Until the advent of Amosun, Ogun state had never had a muslim governor
Just 4 years ago, before Aregbesola, Osun was a under a Christian-Christian ticket (Oyinlola and Obada)
So where are the Muslims tagging voting for a Christian a taboo?
This is the reason why SW will never degenerate to making political decision based on senseless religious affiliation. And we have already seen a glimpse of it in Osun (a majority christian state) voting for a muslim candidate ahead of a supposedly christian pdp candidate.

jmaine: You just went on a lengthy rail without much direction. No offense.

The gas pipeline sabotage is often recorded in the western region, so definitely all power facilities dependent on that supply takes a blow and that equally sends shock waves across the states dependent on the affected gas trunk . . . .

Gas pipelines saboteurs can come from various facets be it for political or economic sustenance.

Am sure you don't know better than those directly involve with those repairs after an act of unspeakable sabotage . . . . .
You don't know what I do for a living. So I find it funny when you said I don't know better than those involved with repairs. Anyway, that's on a side note. The point I am trying to make is ipps are in virtually all the geographical zones in the country. So even if gas supply to one zone is affected by vandalisation of the trunk line, should that be the excuse why the majority of the ipps aren't working as it is currently? I cited examples of PZ and NB that doesn't seem to be affected by the vandalisation to buttress the point. I am just wondering why some pro pdp ppl are ever so eager to defend this administration when it comes to lack of power and that apc is the saboteure. Don't tell me you've not heard this from pdp loyalists.
I'm sorry I can't help furter if you still don't get my direction.
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Increased Power Supply, Pipeline Vandalism And The Weather by gists: 5:34pm On Aug 30, 2014
jmaine: A single episode of gas pipeline sabotage is capable of sending power shockwave across states while the numerous crude oil bunking won't be felt by all except the oil coys.

So when you say a "few" gas pipeline sabotage occurred, it defeats the whole essence of your post.

And your "few" didn't even cater for the overall number and frequency of the event.
hmmm. I see. First I didn't say there aren't any. To the best of my knowledge NLNG (the chief client of the oil company when it comes to gas) is still able to substantially meet its contractual obligations as the oil coys somehow miraculously are able to get gas supplied to NLNG. It is only when it comes to supplying gas to ipps that apc come to the picture. So this kind of goes against your logic of "overall number and frequency". Also, private industries like PZ, flour mills, NB are able to get gas and generate power from gas supplied by the oil companies. The number of frequency of vandalisation does not affect these private industries, but somehow ipps are not because of some VERY FREQUENT vandalisation of gas lines right?

Again by your logic, shell, mobil, total, chevron all send gas on a common gas line trunk to all the gas powered ipps abi? Such that one episode will take out the supply from ALL the oil coys to ALL the IPPs right (shockwave)? What a dumb company they must be grin grin grin

APC must be blamed for all the evils in the country. Even where there is non, create an hoax problem and blame it on apc grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Increased Power Supply, Pipeline Vandalism And The Weather by gists: 3:55pm On Aug 30, 2014
Come to think of it. Can the lack of increased power generation be really be linked to pipeline vandalisation? The turbines used for generating power uses gas and not oil. Oil and gas (liquified) don't flow in the same pipeline. So far, the majority of the vandalised pipelines are oil pipelines (not gas). While there may have been a few gas line vandalised, I think this "mass" gas line vandalisation is more of a face saving hoax to accuse the opposition. Yes you can say there is gas shortage as most of the oil companies still flare a substantial amount of gas (even though they are working round the clock to increase gas supply) -so gas production has not reached its peak in Nigeria. But of course that apc needs to be blamed for the non performance of the clueless gov.

EMANY01: I gave this answer in a different thread but I think it applies to your post as well.
Have you never had the term"actionable intelligence" ?
In a nutshell it means you suspect an individual / group is responsible for something and your intelligence "sources" indicate that they are indeed responsible .Your intelligence service also has the fortune of finding evidence that confirms the suspicions and intelligence. With actionable intelligence you can act:arrest, prosecute and war(in the case of nation states).
Finding evidence for something you know someone is doing/has done is not as easy as you think it is.The target of the suspicion only needs to be halfway intelligent to avoid creating a connection between themselves and the act(s) they are suspected off.Examples of this situation abound:
In the US most of the mafia bosses could not be arrested not to mention prosecuted even when everyone and their mother knew how dirty and evil they were in some cases the FBI used tangential case like tax evasion to send a major crime boss to jail for 25 years because they couldn't "link him" (note the phrase) to the crimes of racketeering, murder, drug dealing and smuggling that they "knew" he was forehead deep involved in.They "knew" but couldn't touch him just like the president said he "knows" BokoHaram sponsors.
In the US and Europe there are individuals who are known to the intelligence services as being involved in terrorism and plans to commit terrorist attacks but the only put them on surveillance because while they "know" the can not prove it especially when such suspects know the they are "persons of interest" .Even with the massive surveillance some of them still get to do what they plan to do.
Knowing and proving are two different things in these days of "CIVIL Rights".You may know and be 100% right in what you know but if you can't prove it then you can not "ACT".
Knowing is not the problem ,getting proof is the challenge the world over a situation made all that much harder for Nigeria with the deliberate underdevelopment the security services had to put up with since 1985 mind you.
If GEJ or the SSS or the COAS or any other security service head come on stage to list out the sponsors they are sure of but have not gotten actionable Intel on ,you will crucify them saying its political.
Very intelligent but pathetic excuse just because the accused is one of your own. But how come this manner of reasoning only applies to Boko Haram? In the last election in Osun, it was reported that civilian - ONLY members of APC were arrested without any proof that they had criminal motives. The president has assured us that he is going to do whatever is necessary to make sure elections are "free" and "unfair" which include the unsustainable deployment of armed military men on election day. How come such "unpatriotic" stance is not applied to security of live and property?

Since you used US as example let me ask this: When Bush matched the US army to Iraq what proof/evidence did he ask for? Not in any way justifying the Iraq war but the point I am making is sometime you close your eyes and do what is needful in the interest of the nation. How many terror suspects have the US arrested just because they suspect they have link with terrorist groups let alone know for sure but without proof as you wrote?

But now it is convenient to look for petty excuses while scores of people are dieing just because the accused is belong to your tribe/religion. Would you sincerely have written this if it was a northerner that was mentioned?

So in summary: The president said he knows the sponsors of BH (a terror group that has killed thousands of innocent Nigerians - xtians, mulims, ALL tribes) but he is not going to do anything about it simply because there is no proof while the group has established a base in the country to carry out even more evils. And the inaction of the president is OK to you as long as the sponsors are your tribe men or share your religious faith - right?

cramjone: s Former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-kayode has described as despicable, allegation by Australian negotiator, Stephen Davies that former Army Chief, Azubuike Ihejirika was one of the sponsors of the terrorist Boko Haram sect.

The Perth-based Davis who was involved in negotiations on behalf of the federal government with commanders of the Boko Haram for the release of the 200 schoolgirls abducted by the sect since April had in an interview with Arise Television, a sister company of THISDAY newspapers named Ihejirika along with Senator Ali Modu sheriff as sponsors of Boko Haram.

But Fani-Kayode said: “No one should be spared if the evidence is really there but I must say that I find the allegation that the former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika, is somehow involved with Boko Haram a little far-fetched firstly because he spent so much of his time, energy, career and resources fighting that organisation; secondly because that organisation killed so many of his own officers and men and thirdly because he is not a Muslim but a Christian.

Anyway Seun and co knows the right thing to do to you

On the topic: Why didn't former Chief of Army Staff (i.e Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika) arrest or at least let us know who were the sponsors of the teror group he claimed to be fighting? As a HIGH RANKING officer (a general and a Chief of Army Staff for that matter) and key player in the gov, he should tell us that he (a general) was intimidated/afraid of bloody civilian politicians? Why didn't he at least name them if he was too afraid to arrest them?
