I agree with GEJ,enough of pointless agenda.Which goverment has ever fulfilled its agenda? So no need joining the group of failures.Just govern us well!and all will fall in place.
Saying you just want him to govern us well is very vague. May I ask what will be your criteria for good governance? Let me put it this way, What will GEJ has to do or what will he has to stop for you to believe he has governed us well. Example: For me I need him to stop fraud then, crime (boko haram is on the front burner now). As of today he is in the red (particularly with d idiotic amnesty proposal), but I pray he succeed for the good of the country

Mr small:
I wonder if you would probe your immeidate boss if u had a chance, tongue
apart from Nuhu Ribadu, most people in Nigeria dare not probe their boss. But I also remember that while the late Yar'dua declared his asset at the begining of his short administration, GEJ refused to declare his. That suggest that he might benefitted from Alamieyeseigha's looting and also as the Gov. of Bayelsa that he couldn't afford to declare. This is definately not to say that other govs. were innocent, just to caution you from trying to paint him as a saint just because he is your kinsman and belong to the same religion with you.

PoliticsRe: Look Who's Complaining About Cbn's New Cash Rule by gists: 4:02am On May 18, 2011
I tend to agree with the honorable. The N150K/N1m is just too small for our level of enlightenment about cashless transactions and especially with wave of ATM fraud we saw a few months ago (which is still ongoing in some places). Its difficult to see the women in balogun market and my Igbo brothers in several markets across the country abiding. They'd rather keep their money at home/shops which is just a recipe for disaster. I still think their should be a limit though maybe N500k for individuals and N2m for corporate bodies.
PoliticsRe: Editorial: The Coming Storm From The North! (a Must Read!) by gists: 10:33pm On May 17, 2011
@T9ksy

T9ksy:
But this is stale news, sha.

Its common knowledge that northerners trail miserably behind their southern counterpart in education.
When Awo tried to provide free education to the northerners, the sardunna and his merry-go men opposed it vehemently. Meanwhile, Tafawa balewa on becoming our first P.M decided his 10 yr old son should go and finish his schooling in london!

My premise here is that the northern elite do not want to educate their young generations- they need them as foot soldiers to unleash on us infidels whenever we seem to be getting too big for our boots. Whenever they see the need to whip us into line, they have their almajiris at their beck and call ready to obey like zombies without asking any questions. They even massacred us because of the eclipse of the moon!

They have been in the corridors of power all these years yet they have not done anything to catch up with their sounthern counterparts in the education of their youths.

It wasn't an oversight, it was/is a deliberate action by their ruling elite who sent their own kids to school in foreign lands like the muthallabs.
I wonder why you always try to weave religion into every issue.Besides, why focus on the north alone - mind you, I am a yoruba man? If I read the article well, its not just the north, the rest of the country is also shutting down but you fail to see this or is it that anything that does not condemn/portray the north (muslims) in bad light is not really important (i.e not worthy of calling attention to). See the highlighted text Below

texazzpete:
When you think of the fact that 70% of our 150 million-population is under the age of 30, then that figure of 62, 682 becomes utterly ridiculous. Assume that there is an equal distribution of citizens in each year of life, then we should be expecting to see upwards of 10 million souls registering for the NCEE; not a paltry 0.6% of that figure.
.
.
.
So where are all the 9-11 year olds in both Kebbi and Yobe states? And how come Lagos alone has 26% of all the registrants?. The last time I checked, our own official figures give Lagos 6% of our total population

What this tells me is that education all over the rest of Nigeria, not just in the North, is shutting down. The potential impact of this is incredibly horrifying.

You're wrong there. Nigerians are ready to pay and they have been paying for the little electricity they get. Why don't you focus your energy on the gov. that is failing on its responsibilities rather than accusing the people of not wanting to pay for services they don't get. A wedding does not show how a marriage will be!!! It is just a bloody wedding for heaven's sake!!! If my wife did this, I would support completely. I would rather have a 10 minute reception and give her a chance at getting that job than get annoyed with her. let us face reality. If she gets this job, all these will end
Its important to differentiate a wedding from marriage. And I'll support my wife too if I was the groom. The husband is a lucky man to have a woman who's not ready to just sit at home expecting her husband to do everything.

Lagos survived OBJ's starvation. Something tells me they'll survive this as well though this is different and won't be easy. Its all about leadership (good, visionary and commitment). They'll probable come out even better-off because they'll have to think outside the box and look inward. IF they do survive this, then Africa has just given birth to a new nation (Not in support of splitting Nigeria though).

Osama bin Laden is dead, sources told CNN Sunday night.

Congressional and administration sources say U.S. officials have the body of bin Laden, who was reportedly killed in Afghanistan. The details around his death were not immediately available.

U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to address the nation shortly.

We have heard this before when they came up with the news that he died of malaria or something one or two years back. I hope this is not another propaganda stunt by the Obama administration trying to win peoples' confidence that he can protect Americans after the whole mess in North Africa and middle east where a good number of America puppet gov. allies are under serious threats. But then again it will also backfire seriously and hurt his second-term bid the its not true.

For those who labor under the illusion that they own Mr. Jonathan, it would be wise to take a look at the “Kodak” moment when the man was proclaimed “president-elect.” They’d see a beaming Tony Anenih (yes, Mr. Fix-it himself), but there’s not a single young person in the picture. Go figure!

Personally I believe Obama is a great man. However, Nigeria should be careful 'courting' the U.S. during this period in time, which is being marked down in history as being characterized by a blood-thirsty lust for African oil.
very wise advice. Let those who have ears hear. The fact is that U.S only care about their interest (oil in this case). Sadly we have a leadership that really don't care if our resources are sucked dry overnight and any atrocities that may be committed as long as it translate to dollars in their private accounts.

It will still be nice to see prooves that the under-aged voters were for cpc (I'm not affirming that cpc didn't use them, I just need to see the evidence.) The fact that there were under age voters in the north is enough proof to win a court case. I hope these pictures are not what they intend to show as prove because as far as I''m concerned they prove nothing.

PoliticsRe: Why Havn't Anybody Queried The Under Aged Voters. by gists: 6:03pm On Apr 30, 2011
@olabukola,
Let me set the record straight as it appears your are not getting me correctly. I have only made one affirmative statement in all my posts on this topic i.e that the election was rigged. You were the one making all the clear-cut digital statements like:
One thing that baffles me is that nobody queried why we have under aged voters in the north, is it cos it did not benefit GEJ? Is that not another form of election irregularity?.
Meaning GEJ did not benefit from the under aged voter. As far as I am concerned, he could have benefited. So, if anyone is so sure that he didn't I just ask for proof that he didn't. That's not a crime is it?

Then you said:
If i cannot prove the beneficiary of the under aged voters how can you prove that the election was rigged
This was what prompted my only affirmative statement:
Secondly, their is nothing to prove in the rigging. It is a fact for which their is even video evidence
olabukola:
Do you think this sentence can win you a case in a court?(Not Nigerian kind of court) Just as you asked me for prove that the under aged voters did not vote for pdp, i will like you to prove to me that the election was actually rigged wherever you think and the only thing you can come up with is the I.Q post.
I am not trying to win any court case because I'm not a member of CPC. Mind you the statement is not the evidence. If you look objectively hard enough (even on nairaland) you find the evidence. sorry, I'm no longer in the habit of providing links (with a few exceptions though).

olabukola:
Well everybody saw the remains of the corp members, again you have to prove to me that under aged were killed as well. Does it mean that you guys don't value their(almajiris) lives thats why non of you made mention of them being killed as well.
This is the main reason I said it appears you are not getting me correctly. I didn't say any almajiri was killed. According to some reports, they were even the ones doing the killing. And I certainly value every human life irrespective of tribe or religion. Read the my last sentence of my last post

I was not referring to the word stop. I was referring to the word "instigating" which means present continuous action.

Its a shame that people voted against their own reasoning and logic. It is obvious that pro gej knew that the president elect is incompetent (at least in area of security) yet they voted for him in-place of the candidate they know can do the job. Otherwise, why would they be asking Buhari to stop the almajiris even when he does not control any of the national security forces. Is it not a hidden acceptance incompetence and mediocrity? You guys/ladies can prove me wrong by calling on your elected CnC to use the National security outfits not only to put a lasting end to this criminal acts but also to investigate, arrest and prosecute whoever is behind the killing (EVEN BUHARI, IF HE IS FOUND GUILTY BY A COMPETENT COURT)

Imagine the American and European citizens asking Osama to call his killers to stop the attacks instead of their respective governments. Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!

You people are becoming reasonable now. I am not a member of any party also and i did not vote for anybody cos i no its looting looting looting as usual. If i cannot prove the beneficiary of the under aged voters how can you prove that the election was rigged. One thing is clear though, the under aged voted for somebody from the north otherwise the almajiris that killed the corpers suspected of rigging in favour of Jona could have killed them(under aged) first if they vote for Jona.
Firstly, I'm not supposed to even be talking to you since you are not patriotic enough to consider it necessary to vote on the assumption that looting will continue. Is that not part of the reasons why you should vote? Of course you silently approve of the looting that's why u didn't border to make effort to change Nigeria from the looting status quo.

Secondly, their is nothing to prove in the rigging. It is a fact for which their is even video evidence. If you thing the illogically high voters' percentage GEJ got from SS/SE is normal, then you should take an I.Q test to see if its over 1-digit.

Finally, how are you sure that the almajiris didn't kill them? Of course to people like you only southern christian corpers were killed and there were no northern (muslim/christian) victims right?
