You have 60days from when your visa was issued to enter the UAE. Your tourist visa takes effect from the UAE airport after your passport is stamped.

To me,it's more like harvest time. When Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalese, philippinos and co were flocking in and making way for themselves. Our people here were busy either spoiling our name or backstabbing and betraying ourselves. All these is still happening. I'll rather deal or buy stuff from these guys than be defrauded by a fellow Nigerian, who will not only make over gain, but also give you something inferior in the end.

I think I like the way Nonny tries to play the devil's advocate in a sense. While saying UAE is not all rosy, he also reminds those painting a gory picture that we are not all suffering here. I understand the look and thought you get in Nigeria for instance that every female Nigerian in UAE is either eating Arab feaces or into prostitution. It's that same picture of everyone in UAE is suffering and smiling that he's trying to counter.

Sorry it seems I gave a misleading or incomplete answer. Employment visa is cheaper and better in the sense that it lasts for about 2years, gives you peace of mind, helps secure job more easily, and negotiate better salary. That's generally speaking. Visit visa is safer in the sense that it is more sure and fast with little or no stories about it. It's almost guaranteedunlike employment visa that even genuine company may not be able to guarantee. Both categories of visa usually will require a person or organisation in the UAE, it's not something you do solo.

It shows he doesn't know Nigeria well. Since he was born, he's probably abroad or inside AC inside, inside tinted glasses. And these are the kinds of people Nigeria is cursed with always having around its leaders. They tell the leaders rubbish.

Oh my good God! Many people who made it through school are "quitting" UAE. If you quit school, chances are you will quit UAE, except you want to go into crime or you are very lucky.

MOE refuse to issue to Tourist visa? That's probably new. MOE doesn't have anything to do with your visa. You first have to authenticate your B.Sc certificate with them and then get letter of eligibility from them. It all takes like a week or so. They don't need to know anything about your visa,just the country so that they can address the letter of eligibility. It's after the authentication at MOE and MOFA and the letter of eligibility that you can go to UAE embassy.

the problem is,the agent still want me to pay 220k for accommodation n other stuff I don't understand and still want me to have at least 100k with me before entering..saying I might need to pay sm money wen i get to Dubai airport

Note that any money you are bringing to UAE should either be dollars or AED. Except your naira is in a bank account that can transfer the money.

But if so, I think you should just leave. Use your two months to find another job. Is that even possible to do now self? If nothing miraculous happens, just go home. You need skills to stand a chance.
Since you've somehow managed the free but appalling accommodation for two months, you can manage with him for 6months and save aggressively to do a course. Maybe Security or Safety or IT. Then pick up from there.

Pele tie brother. No be only manual labour, I've not said or implied that. When you say hot jobs, I believe it means jobs in demand. Certificates that opens doors even online. And that's IT,when we say IT, it's not computer appreciation and Microsoft office, or mavis beacon typing certificate. Also HSE with solid experience and international certification, or Oil and gas. Those ones open doors irrespective of nationality. If you are good, you're good. It's saturated because more of them have the certifications.
In security jobs, you also have more Indian and Pakistanis. And they mostly give conditions too like cancelled visa or money for employment visa or two years UAE experience. That's not definition of hot jobs.

Is SIRA a hot job? They'll still ask for mostly UAE experience and cancelled visa etc for most, with the "600k for visa". Hot jobs are like IT or maybe HSE or oil and gas.

There's actually a ministry of happiness and wellbeing in the UAE. It's just that even normal and straightforward ministry doesn't work in Nigeria,it will just be another wasteful overbloat.
