I came home from work today and I felt very empty.
A university graduate of over 23 years with a 2 year restaurant store keeper experience. The restaurant I worked at folded up after tejusoho market at Yaba was opened. Since then I've been dropping my CV at different companies to get employed. But I didn't get any call from where I submitted my CV. I decided to start a teaching job which I did for close to 8 years. I worked as a teacher in a private school located around agbado area, ogun state. But I got tired because I wasn't appreciated and more so the salary wasn't taking care of my needs. So I was introduced to a hotel job as a housekeeper. I accepted the job and since then I've been a house keeper cleaning rooms. This I have been doing for over 5years now with a 35000naira monthly pay
I now look at myself with little grey hairs on my head. Thinking.... IS THIS WHAT I WAS MADE FOR? IS THIS WHY I SCHOOLED FOR 4YEARS.

Im just so bitter. Even the hotel where I work, the store keeper position where I have an experience is being manned by a secondary school cert holder.

My previous post about a big school that called me for an Interview, Well I actually went there, did my test and when I was asked to come in for Micro Teaching where I was faced with Staff of the school and maybe the principal, I flopped and panicked heavily.

The fear was well written all over my face and I was just saying rubbish despite choosing to teach "Matter" as my topic. Immediately I came in and they asked for my name and few other questions before the micro teaching, my voice was already shaking as if I have never taught before in my life(they noticed and told me to calm down).

Although I am an introvert, I hardly face audience talk more of strangers and the quest to ensure that I performed, those things enveloped/swallowed me completely. I have never taught in such a big school before, I think my qualification was what made them approach me in the first place.

One of the staff kept throwing questions at me, I mean confusing questions just to know my depth of knowledge in the particular topic, and guess what? I flopped totally and became disorganized. But luckily, there was a man among the panel who gave me the option of coming back and prove myself that I am a qualified teacher as stated in my CV or I should take another topic I'm more comfortable with. So, I opted to leave and come back so I can regain my confidence.

Now, I have been given enough time to go and make research and convince them on Monday.
How do I conquer that fear and what are the things they look so I can prepare hard.

The secret is preparation. I am also an introvert. Not just an introvert, a stammerer too. But the way I use to smash public speaking is like a miracle to me. When you are well prepared it gives you confidence, and when you have confidence, you find yourself speaking with enthusiasm. Stop blaming introversion and go work on yourself.

Poverty is not the mother of crime. The worst criminals in the world are the rich, we call their crime "corruption" while they call that of the poor "crime" itself. I think it's kinda environmental influence because there are really really poor people at the bottom line of poverty but with the best character without any single crime ever. The West came to Africa and saw a society with zero crime because they all are superstitious and have tge believe that crime is punishable spiritually and physically. No one owned a greedy property like today, they kill meat and they all share together like one big family, etc. These guys just liken us to animals and poisoned us with their ways of life and to worsen the situation, they took us as slaves.

So, while some crimes are mistakes or response to emotions like in the case of harming someone you caught cheating on you, etc. the urge to commit crime is inborn, that's why we need the law to control our nature and of course, we were meant to be ruled and controlled, otherwise the crises happening around the world is a joke to what could have happened.

There was a time in the past history where if two unknown persons meet in the forest for the first time, they'll fight to kill themselves. Secondly, a powerful nation would just rise up and seize other less powerful nations. But we see laws controlling that today.

In conclusion, poverty is not the mother of crime but a pathway that can easily fuel crime. The urge for crime by nature is inborn. Just by observing growing kids, you'll see why parents flog them. Remove punishment from a child and you breed crime lords. A well trained poor person will live 100% crimeless, that's why we need parents to first control us at childhood before the society does.
