joxxy01: This is a questions that has been bothering me for quite some times now and yet to get any satisfying answer... According to Apostle Paul in (1 Corinthians 14: 1- 19) tonguing should be done privately except they is someone to interpret.. But in our present day Church gatherings , members can blow in tongues for hours without any one to interpret and it as taught by Paul and it has become a norm. Please I need and enlightenment is this not abnormal?

and it sounds chaotic and confusing but they may not be speaking in tongues as to minister to people but praying and praising in tongues. Now if it is done by God's Spirit there is a high chance that several (possibly rare) languages are being uttered simultaneously.
To speak in tongues maybe to minister to the people in tongues, which should only be done when there is interpretation. Now Paul also wrote about praying in an unknown tongue. I believe the issue is when churches focus more on one accept than the other, like prayer with understanding. Anyway I hope I have been helpful, if not I apologize 😊
I came across a so called "seven tenets of the satanic temple"
The picture attached shows some of the views that atheists may agree to. It makes me question if atheists are aware or unaware that some of their stand agrees with the tenets of satanic temple. They both go against God though, so no surprises there.
These tenets "seem" so good and acceptable and not what you would expect from a so called satanic temple protrayed as evil by those who believe in God. But there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is destruction
vdestro: For me i say, let the Spirit lead lest one greets and evil comes as my enemy did before.
the Spirit will lead you to love but not to be joined The Spirit of God will lead you to be tempted but not into temptation To a storm but not into the ocean 😁
Oracleee: Let's be sincere but all this are laws in the old testament and Christianity believes the blood of Jesus as washed it all away. Some pastors don't even believe so much in old testament
the blood of Jesus washed away the curse of the law for those who repent, and made a new covenant as the old was broken. But the law of the new which transcends the old, doesn't transgress it but fulfill it. The law to love
But such love will not go against the very nature which supports man's life and gives to it.
confusedlady: That Kobjunkie character is a danger to this section. She specialises in teaching heresy and blasphemy. Best treatment for her is to ignore. She thrives on attention which is her oxygen. By all means avoid her. She is an attention junkie.
a she? Like Jezebel the false prophetess or you are sure, na female? 😲
logicalhumour: Why do so many Christians treat sexual morality as more important than other fields of morality? From my reading of the Bible, I never got the impression that this should be the case.
We also focus way more on porn, masturbation and premarital sex than actual sexual crimes like molestation and rape.
Is it just our churches? Why is this?
the foundation of society is family and what begins family is marriage and what brings children the future members of society is sex.
If the very foundation of society is immoral then the very society itself will be immoral.
Sexual morality is something I can liken to sexual control. For people to control themselves.
Now that doesn't mean I agree with the exaggeration and those who add to God's commands but doesn't that occur because people don't even understand the commands or why God gave them.
Everyone can be happy if they are not sexually immoral. You have your own husband, you can marry your wives without lusting for another man's wife. There's no special sexual pleasure when you sleep with an animal, your specific sex or your blood or marriage relatives. Don't create a mess of yourselves.
Now premarital sex was an added control, masturbation, marrying one wife, were all added controls that some religious leaders saw as necessary just as Moses saw giving divorce certificates as necessary even for their evil unnecessary reasons (God hates divorce but isn't against it, he hates for sinners to perish but they perish anyway)
God wants us to love and not to lust, to give and not to always be wanting and desiring or letting those desires control us, mislead and even destroy us.
So yes, if we can't control our flesh or our very basic nature, having dominion or control other things will basically be more tough.
The first person recorded to commit sexual immorality, Reuben lost his headship and was spoken of, Reuben unstable. A person can lose a lot by having loose morals, be it to sexual desire, to hunger to lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, pride of life and the like.
If you feel affected by a particular area it may be an area you need to address. But know this, the love of money is the root of evil, and sexual immorality is usually it's "first fruit"
You mods sha, so there is nothing uplifting or scriptural you can post on FP. 🤦🏾♀️ Let's not even talk spiritual because whoever is picking these topics for FP is far far far far far from it.
delkuf: he cannot be the only one to interpret scripture differently. He has an egenda. And that is to make people not see the good out of threads that will benefits them. He will distract, twist and argue so that people will not get the good out of a thread
you are in the spirit 😅 I literally just posted that now
lexy2014: It's not too good to be confident in your ignorance
John 1:1-5 [1]IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.] [2]He was present originally with God. [3]All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. [4]In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. [5]And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. John 1:6-15 [6]There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. [Mal. 3:1.] [7]This man came to witness, that he might testify of the Light, that all men might believe in it [adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it] through him. [8]He was not the Light himself, but came that he might bear witness regarding the Light. [9]There it was–the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa. 49:6.] [10]He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him]. [11]He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own–His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him. [12]But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name–[Isa. 56:5.] [13]Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!] [14]And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth. [Isa. 40:5.] [15]John testified about Him and cried out, This was He of Whom I said, He Who comes after me has priority over me, for He was before me. [He takes rank above me, for He existed before I did. He has advanced before me, because He is my Chief.]
please you guys should stop preaching, teaching, responding to Kjunkie. He is not interested in the salvation of any soul, dude is an agent. Look how he has distracted people from the original post
Kobjunkie: Here's an obvious clue for you. Every thing you have here is antichrist who never gave you permission to use His name in selling of any of the idea listed in your OP. He made clear His love belongs only to those who obey His commandments -- John 13 vs 1 & John 15 vs 9 -11 --- but given that you don't consider of importance as the prophets made clear, you pay no heed to any of what He says.
LegallyBlunt: Good day everyone. For a couple of weeks now, there has been issues where I worship. Mostly between the Pastor and his assistant (presently former assistant). They had a falling out, which escalated to a point where the assistant stopped his duties. Now, I managed to ask questions about the issue and the Pastor gave his version. I also got to know about the assistant's version. However, here's the issue - they're not in speaking terms! Isn't that malice? Isn't that dangerous, and a deviation from what Christians ought to do? Are they not in danger of hell and manipulation from the devil and agents of sin? What's even more painful is that the church just continues like there's no issue on ground. It's sad, really.
malice actually means to have ill feelings and thoughts towards someone, evil intentions, the desire to harm the person
