ReesheesuKnack: The UK is still one of the countries with the most liberal & easy-to-get skilled work visas.
Although I do have my own qualms with the idea of paying visa holders less than the ‘going rate’, but as an immigrant, I think that is very liberal and very much like ‘lowering the bar’ for immigrants. |

seunmsg: I don’t think so. I think the money is fully in Dare Lawal’s custody. Upon becoming governor and the protection the position offers, he decided to cut off Diezani. Diezani is gradually dying of cancer and currently at the risk of losing every single kobo of the money to Dare Lawal who no longer picks her calls. So, she has decided to go for broke. She has little or nothing to lose again. So, she wants to ensure Dare Lawal will not go away with the money. If you ask me, I think she’s doing the right thing. It’s now left for the Tinubu government to put in place the right strategy and framework to recover what can still be recovered. you think that money is domiciled in Nigeria? even all the Abacha loot that is being returned, after how many years? the west will continue to take advantage of all these for as long as our people continue to be this stupid |

Ibro2021: My people. I greet una.
I'm reviewing my psw application and discovered that I entered passport details (including issue and expiry dates) where national identity card was required.
I've also done the declaration part so can't edit any longer. All that's left is to make payment for IHS and application.
What are my options, please? Is this error fatal, and do I have to start another application from scratch?
Thanks. I think it's better to delete that application if you have not submitted and start all over |

I relate with colleagues who are locals and talk politics and the reasons Rishi seems to be better to them than Boris is that he never partied during Covid and never lied to the queen or something. I also feel Starmer is promising some things that are not %100 realistic. Who even take politicians serious nowadays? ReesheesuKnack: He made it clear to all of us here that were it to be in Lagos, he would have manhandled the black ticketing officer who was simply just doing his job and applying the rules. Of course because of how he felt not knowing the guy was just doing his job and I agree that comment is off which is why I even tried to make a joke out of it initially with my response. It was pure ignorance on his part as a new comer which is why I cut him some slack. He came back to admit paying the fine and not contesting the ticket. |

2. You never corrected him for using the "migrant" tag for the man just doing his job
3. You said we shouldn't judge him but he quickly judged a man just doing his job and gave him a "migrant " tag

ReesheesuKnack: Balderdash!!
The white ticket inspectors (who in All honesty failed to do their jobs properly) were probably too scared to apply the rules to you because of fear you could play the race card.
Plus, the white men looked at your face and saw that you resembled someone who could do to them what you implicitly implied you would do to that Black ticket inspector (re: last sentence of your original post). So they just ‘let sleeping dog lie’.
But that black ticket inspector, he saw you, looked at your face and e no scare am. He has probably handled rough people (in that same Lagos you quoted previously). So he applied the rules. easy please, back home in Nigeria, we are not used to reading signs or directions at motor parks or whatever mode of land transportation, we just board and pay. I have seen lots of our folks make similar errors here and I have had to correct them too. That was why I was not too quick to reprimand him, He was still new and since on previous occasions he was allowed to go, he just assumed and never had the motive not to pay for his transportation ( we must all recognise that). He has even gone ahead to admit he did pay the fine. I think we are just too touchy on the race thing. Did he intentionally want to break the law? We are beginning to take things too seriously here and we all need to calm down haba |
