Deepthoughts: It's almost an impossibility for a northern Christian to become an elected president of this country,a northern Christian becoming the VP too is just part of the dangerous scheming by the conservative Muslim supremacists in the north to perpuate their grip on power,Dogara can choose to accept been use as a puppet for his personal gains but he will eventually be disgraced, equity demands that come 2023 power should shift to a Christian southerner whether in Apc or any other party, the Christians n Southerners should stand up n boldly demands for this,if not that the Christians insisted in Lagos Tinubu would never had made Ambode a governor, even with that how did it ended, Tinubu can scheme from now to eternity, the idea of a southern Muslim succeeding buhari is unacceptable. am with you 100% on this, truth is some folks who are so bitter against this govt don't really care |

Dasuks: Half information. The article is making it look like we are some big brother who is sacrificing for his little ones lol. Somr of these countries have cultural foundations that are way more ancient and more developed identity than ours. So let's cut it with the condescension.
The electricity agreements are part of the Niger river generation agreements. For these nations not to dam up the river upstream, we get to owe them particular power obligations. Simple as that.
Currently we are doing 4500 MW on 6200 MW operational capacity , even tho overall capacity is meant to be 13000 MW. All small for a country like NGA. Not to mention that we have enough gas to up it to 40000 MW.... industrialization isnt going to pick up for anything till we rejig the legislative framework for power investments.
And to make it worse our generators nationwide only add 12000 MW to the mix. So that's not even about to solve anything in the long run. Thank you jare, a lots of ignoramus here. Those countries will continue to enjoy free light cos they will use the damming of the Niger river as blackmail to continue to get free light from Nigeria and we can't do anything about it except we can completely generate electricity form other sources but for as long we continue to depend on the Niger river for electricity, we must continue the father Christmas thing |

The North employed the machinery of the PTF to develop northern projects and infrastructure. Nobody heard looting.
And when the NDDC is empowered to develop it's catchment areas, it's directors turn to corruption.
Who's laughing at whom now? The northerners are laughing. even if they looted [which is wrong] we saw the PTF projects live and direct but what has the Niger delta got to show with all the money allocated. The Niger deltans simply are not interested in development and they making the argument for resource control and restructuring weaker, this is my pain. |

Swingate: The buses will be a welcome development, meanwhile the national stadium and Teslin Balogun stadium should be converted to a temporal car park and bus terminal during this third mainland bridge maintenance period. Since those stadiums are not in use these days , people heading to the island should be encouraged to park their cars at those designated car parks and then board buses to cross them to and from the island. This will reduce the congestion on the remaining routes to the island during peak periods . Those buses should be given crossing priority to encourage people to use it more . The only sensible comment here. Well done. Hoping the governor or his advisers will see this comment. Nigerians should be learn how to proffer solutions and not just complain like headless chickens. |

emkz: Garba Shehu, the first lady had complained that you undermined the first family, now you are planting stories trying to rubbish the vice president? I saw you as an experienced journalist but you are unfit for public service with your actions.
What some of these men do is that they give money to some journalists to plant their stories in newspapers. I have seen this first hand. Some of them even go as far as writing their interview questions and answers and give them to journalists to run. This unethical journalistic practice is what caused a rift between Azubuike Ishiekwene and Steve Ayorinde, and they were asked to leave the Punch.
As for Garba Shehu, if I am close to you, I'd tell you to be very careful when dealing with Osinbajo: that man seems to carry God's favour which I can't explain. The manner he became vice president (the best since 1985) is still a mystery, his handling of the jobs he's been given has been superb and he is the star of this administration. If Osinbajo was in charge of things, the raid of Joi Nunieh's house would have led to the head of the IGP. The corruption by Akpabio and Malami may have saw their exit from FEC - my point is that opportunities abound for Buhari to shine but because he has incompetent media managers like Garba, these opportunities are allowed to waste. All the mudslinging against Osinbajo by FFK, Reno Omokri, Abba Kyari et al., have never stood. Remember how they undermined Jonathan until God rewarded him with the highest position his opposers could never get to. Where are they today, apart from Timipre Sylva? Treat Osinbajo the way you want to be treated. Forget about 2023, do the job you've been given now to the best of your ability as if you won't have another job, and by 2023, you shall receive your reward.
We didn't expect you to admit planting stories. We are gradually losing respect for you. We will know more of the inside enemies before 2023, just keep watching. They will keep destroying themselves gradually. It's PMB I blame that cannot differentiate his true enemies from his friends and if he doesn't take time he himself might be consumed. Magu head strong, let them keep destroying the guy cos they are also destroying themselves also. Enough said |
