Politics › Re: Imagine If Allen Avenue Looked Like THIS? by Goke7: 12:59pm On Jul 17, 2020 |
With all the magnificent structures some African cities are, none can rival Nigeria in terms of money and business. If we can reduce our partying and become more serious, no African country go get mouth. If our economy shut down today, even south Africa will feel it.
Common border shutdown, lots of African countries cried out. Nigeria is far better than what we Nigerians think. There is poverty in every nation but they all use media and pictures to deceive. Even lots of western nations benefit much from us. They day we get it right, Nigeria may have to give away lots of concessions to many African countries to survive cos most Africans and their businesses may have to migrate to Nigeria to keep going. |

seanwilliam: are you very very very sure this is Nairobi If yes, nigeria should cover her face Nothing special, Lagos and Abuja with very good photo shots have even better views. We underrated ourselves too much. Our major problem is regular upgrade and maintenance of our structures. |

SmartProf: This is a commission set up for the development of the Niger Delta o and their sons and daughters are appointed heads of this commission, yet see the mess. So if granted that they become a country of their own, do you think anything will improve? If you know how NDDC scholars suffer before getting their fees paid abroad and living expenses/upkeep allowances, you'll weep yet they have this kind of monies to waste. This is an insult to the Niger Delta people especially those who are in extreme poverty with no basic social amenities. The monies these idiots will spend after 4years will host 2 world cups and 2 Olympics games with change still remaining. they will never admit their wrongs but blame others for their woes |

The most irrelevant vice president Nigeria has ever had.
He has been pocketed by the cabal, if he was patriotic, peace-loving and respectful as claimed, he would've thrown in the towel since but no it's all about selfish interests.

ObaKlaz: Pastor-prophet Oyedepo ought to know that Tanzania has relatively low case of COVID19 reported (509 officially, which has been efficiently handled thus far), the government of Tanzania is even being accused of underreporting the virus' spread.
I wonder why 'Bishop' would use Tanzania as a reference.
I think he should tell us who's master-minding this 'game' and what 'people' are "cooking in their rooms"; let's see if his story would align with that of Pastor Oyaks or he is propounding a new theory. He has to use Tanzania cos his lies are drying up, why did he not use Ghana or south Africa |

Amotolongbo: Why renovating these roads for now when it is obvious that these are volatile places of insurgency? Are they trying to renovate these roads for the terrorists and aid their activities? Moreover, these places have light movements unlike other parts of Nigeria.
I advise the government to concentrate on carrying out physical projects in “relatively” peaceful part of the country and not the volatile parts where the projects can be destroyed at anytime. Only if there are some shady intentional activities being carried out by the minister very selfish comment so those living in those areas are not human beings because they have been attacked by terrorists before, the way we reason this country sef |

Vianna: Exactly my thoughts .Many people think they are fulanis. I lived in the north east, fulanis actually DO NOT look like this. These people are from North Africa. Usually Libya. From Libya it's easy to enter Niger. See Niger see Nigeria. When they get to Kano , they seek the next truck going to Lagos and other commercial hotspot like onitsha. That's how they spread. They are usually found in commercial places, even in ilorin, you see them around challenge, unity, and young legacy motor park. Been to kwara state once. They are no way fulanis, many of them escaped from Egypt during the Arab spring and Libya during Gaddafi crises. Some even crossed the sea into North Africa and then into West Africa from Syria and Yemen. It's the same way Nigerians and west Africans cross into Europe by sea to seek a better life, people from war torn Syria are coming here too. They are alot of them in Ghana also. Before arab spring, these fellows have been here in naija, chai too many kids on nairaland |

Chris525: First time I encountered them was in the early 2000s. It was at Liverpool bus stop in Apapa, I was on my way from the Folawiyo Plaza.
Two walked up to me & I turned them away. Then, they came in droves, holding my hands, tugging on my clothes. Obviously to embarass me & force my hand, I smiled.
I found the biggest amongst them & gave her the first knock. As the others were getting theirs, I noticed a woman who appears to be their mother/guardian walking ferociously towards me, just what I wanted. I nudged them off me & started walking towards her.
She stopped in her tracks & said something to them & they all made for me. Just then a soldier man came out of nowhere with his belt. He had been watching & heard what she told them to do to me.
They ran off but his strokes caught a few & they really didnt enjoy it.
Everytime I passed for 2 years, the women would curse under their breath but the children always gave me a guard of honor. badt guy |
