Then it is just four days ago after Ajimobi was announced by his family to have died .
Moreso, the woman just came in into state this morning and the state deputy governor was there today as well.
So, I don't understand while she was furious if not for political gains.
she said no word of encouragement from the state government, these folks know each other too well, the govt ought to have released a statement to condole the family first before their rant, the deputy only went there to save face hence the lashing from the woman. They are all adults and they know what's up. Makinde no try, you can defend him for all you care. As bad was people thought kyari was, Atiku dem and the pdp first of all condole buhari. Humanity come first, simple. Oyo state govt goofed but they can still make amends

That is if he will be welcome in good fate. Alot of things happened underground that are not opened to the public. Ajimobi burial was delayed to score some cheap blackmailing.
I don't think that five days or even a week is too far for commiserating visit.
Imagine, the State Deputy Governor came for visit on the day (today) that she returned back to state.
Why the state government running after looking for her?
Even, the in-laws (include Governor Ganduje of Kano State) and politicians are just coming today.
there is no excuse whatever for the state govt position, after a week or two, no one may remember Ajumobi again but the bad politics Makinde is playing may make it linger for a very long time, reason he should visit and let by gone be by gone.
Politics › Re: Shehu Sani: Why The North Is Scared Of Restructuring by Goke7: 7:33pm On Jun 28, 2020
emkz:
The north contributes little or nothing...but they are more intelligent and politically mature than the rest of the country. To be in control, you don't need resources, oil, minerals and all; you need a sharp intellect and balls. This is one thing northern leaders have. In the south, those who are trying to get us a better deal, we tear them down instead of supporting them. Majority of the news against Tinubu was written by southerners and they call him Fulani slave. If Tinubu was a politician of northern extraction, no northerner would publicly insult him. We are our own enemies. The northerners are more cohesive. Until the south speaks with one voice, they can shout restructuring till eternity, nothing would happen.

Even educated northern elites know that they'd get the short end of the stick if the country is politically, administratively and economically restructured.

I am agreeing with your submission.
well said, i too gbadun you, even the south is not ready for restructuring. You've said it all
Politics › Re: Shehu Sani: Why The North Is Scared Of Restructuring by Goke7: 7:30pm On Jun 28, 2020
Restructuring will surely happen in the future whether we like it or not. It's not only the north that is against restructuring, even many down south don't want it.

Case in point, when National stadium, Lagos was released to the Lagos state by the FG during the time of Ambode, lots of folks from the southern part of the country don't want to mention any region kicked against the idea and sponsored media articles against it.

We really need to be sincere if we want restructuring, it's not only the north that feels insecure about it, many down south feels same way too and it needs to be addressed. Talk is cheap

Making cannot go again because the woman has shown to be emotional.
For God's sake, it is just four days after the death of the man.
The woman wanted to play greed by trying to blackmailing the state government to release ill-gotten Agodi GRA property to her despite the fact the the property is still subject of litigation.
Who knows may be, the governor was trying to go there latter in the day.
For your information, Governor Ganduje is an in-law to Ajimobis, he was just there today.
The fact remains that the woman just came into the state this morning when she accompanied the body of the ex-governor.
The Governor still has time to make amends by doing a condolence visit to a home of a former Governor who happens to be his predecessor. Am sure some wise elders will give him wise counsel soon except he is too stubborn. Humanity comes first, there is no blackmail here.

The family that were in Lagos till early this morning. Oyo State Govt should have been chasing them about. Nounsence
we are humans first before politics and in yoruba land even when an enemy dies, there is a code of conduct we imbibe, Makinde placed politics ahead and posterity will judge him. Oyo state people have overacted to Ajumobi during and after his death, I only wish them well and pray they continue to have better leaders.

God will forgive those blaming the woman. The woman only responded to government press releases about her husband without a recourse to the family feelings. If you have read the last press release by Engr Makinde, you will agree that the went too far with the whole stuff. Makinde played dirty politics with whole issues and the deputy only went there to correct the wrong. It is just a matter of time, the people will start asking questions about his performance.
you captured the whole issue well, that media release was totally uncalled for and very insensitive

You people are too emotional sef.
That was high delegation enough.
Are you saying today that if Jonathan should die today, I pray not, Buhari must compulsory be there? Assuming Osibanjo is trying to contact the family, they would say that his number is a strange number.
if buhari does not go, will you people not abuse him? Let's put politics aside, it's humanity we are talking about here. The state govt played unnecessary politics, even the media release they made about the burial was unnecessary. Makinde would have shamed his critics easily by showing up as a governor who can go anywhere within his state

I believe Mrs. Florence Ajumobi was speaking as a woman who has be overwhelmed with emotions as a result of the death of her husband, but the truth must be said, it's totally unpatriotic, inhumane and lack of maturity for the Oyo State Government not to have sent a high powered delegation to commensurate with the Ajumobi Family. Life is simple and Governor Makinde should be smarter than that and should have done the needful.
Some of our politicians still need to learn how to separate politics, personality and office. In respective of whatever has happened, Makinde ought to have given respect to the dead especially as a former Governor to pay a condolence visit to the family who would have received him as the current governor of the state. If the family refuse to open the door of their house to the Governor then that will be another issue altogether. Makinde needs more mature advisers.
Politics › Re: Florence Ajimobi And Rauf Olaniyan In Exchange Of Words (video) by Goke7: 4:48pm On Jun 28, 2020
there is so much bitterness btw the governor and the late former governor. I think Makinde can play more maturity by visiting the family of the bereaved. ajumobi is gone so what is still the fight all about. The woman is just being a woman and that's how women are. Anyone expecting her to act like a man does not understand a woman

Maybe he has a presidential ambition which may not materialize..

But what make this guy head and shoulders higher than his political colleague to the extent of leading a party to successful wrestle away power from an incumbent is so obvious..

I may not respect the outcome..i.e concerning the way the country has been governed since APC took over..

But I respect his ambition, his wisdom, his strong leadership qualities..

These qualities I truly desire as a man..

I can only wish he could will such rare abilities to help bring into power people who truly have Nigeria at heart.., competent and God fearing.. this is all we need at this time in our journey as a Country..
You are very sincere

Honestly speaking, there must be something about the man. Hate him or love him, there is something about him. Some ppu hate him not because of in the other regions there are no corrupt politicians but it's funny how they leave the fire on their roof and goes about quenching their neibo owns.

He human and I don't expect perfection from him, but I respect him so much a man who has been in politics for over 20 yrs and still relevant hmm. With the recent stuff I noticed many change the narration all bcus it's Tinubu, for God sake where do we throw our integrity, how can a deputy sec. become a party chairman?

Well,,I noticed many hate him just bcus of his person. People complain he has hold Lagos to ransom and nothing to show for it, but I challenge any body to start any state that is better in governance since 1999 till date than Lagos, most of Lagos blue print are copy by other states, I. Enugu they av Gburugburu traffic police, in Kano they av Karota all this from Latsma model.

Well, I never say he is a saint but I think there something about him many wish they av his type in their region.

Hate him or love, he is just human.
@the bolded, this has always been my major points against Tinubu haters, FDIs into Lagos has remain consistent because of Tinubu and the very predictable political climate in Lagos which keeps improving the economy of Lagos.

Majority of Tinubu haters just want to have access to the same thing he has. period

Oh!..you think it private business?..then why the sudden movement of all private investors to the north?..or is there a jewel in the north we are not aware of..Bro, this is political... Use your head
so you think the guys up north don't want to develop ba? look here, states like Lagos, Ogun and other SW states are not slowing down in terms of development and attraction of FDIs, the earlier other states in Nigeria begin to take development seriously the better cos whether we like it or not the agitations for restructuring along regional lines will continue until it happens, so anybody or Nigerian who is wise will start investing in their region now and stop all these land grabbing especially in states like Lagos and Ogun cos even in America they are asking everybody to answer their father's original name now. Develop your own and stop dragging what can never be yours with others. The north is beginning to understand that now and are taking corresponding actions.

So many illiterates above. How many international airports does south East have? Only one. Is it even functional now? No. Means its not bankable. Why the stupid noise by most people above. Do they understand what concession is? I bet if the news said FG concessions only enugu international airport, they will still complain that FG is marginalizing igbos by selling the only airport we have.
no mind them, they don't know what concession means, many will loose their jobs as private companies take over, guess the govt is using the 4 airports now as a pilot before concessioning others. It's a welcome development for me as govt has no business running airports.

At end of the day, we may not even need more than 6 airports in Nigeria that will be viable, why running airports that can only operate at day time but not at night.

Nigerians are becoming too chicken hearted, too much of Nollywood and red carpet things is making many people not to face the reality of life. This life is not a bed of roses. It takes much resilience to live in this world.

Any time I discuss my challenges with my mum, she tells me there is nothing new under the sun that when she was younger she also faced same challenges. We've been lied to that Nigeria was too good in the olden days and worse now. It's all lies, sufferings have always been in this country from time memorial. People should face life as it is and get stronger. No free lunch anywhere

Problem is most of you confuse ACN for APC.

Tinubu might own ACN chapter of APC, dats all.

Aso rock Canal owns CPC chapter of APC....

Amaechi/El-rufai cordinates nPDP chapter of APC.

Rochas Okorocha-led Apga faction of APC is docile...

So if Tinubu feels he owns APC, tell him to wake up from his sleep.

I was even expecting you to say something relevant.

APC, in case you don't know, is a conglomeration of political parties and factions of political parties merged for the sole purpose of realising the presidential ambition of PMB. That purpose was achieved. Once Buhari is done with 8yrs, It is thrown open to everyone.

ACN, CPC, nPDP, a faction of APGA, and ANPP. These listed parties are the main political associates that formed APC. No one can claim any ownership. it is a coming together.

If maybe ACN branch worships Tinubu, don't expect nPDP to tow same line. The dealing between the different branches should have been done with respect but since Tinubu wants to show he's the Boss, he will be made to know that everyone too is a boss.

Las Las, the party scatter.
@the bolded, that is what will happen when the owners dump APC. Ask pdp, they will tell you they wished PMB/Tinubu never happened
