Coincidence that the 3 are internet-based? |
Linda, Sandra, Edna... |
efilefun:I like that statement that internet is very powerful. It is by the way a two-edged sword that can cut for and against. They that be cut by the sword of internet either by scandal or notoriety would always wish for an electronic eraser to undo their acts. But for positive impacts, internet is the greatest public address system of the 21st century. |
Those days were long gone when thieves who stole millions were thieves. Not a surprise that all the monies were in billions. Recession in Nigeria actually means National treasures in some people's pockets. Great thieves know greater thieves. Allies however hide themselves. And redemption seems out of sight. |

It is amazing to see the reasonings of most people in clear shape. Of all the life lessons and worthy principles she mentioned that individuals hustling outside there can hold unto till they come to spotlight like she experienced personally, it is the sex-related subject which is less than 20% of the duration of her talks that many are dwelling aspect. It is amazing. |
Gucciboss:Are you for real? At least Google is your friend. UK was mostly called Great Britain when US got independence from them. Have you heard before of American Revolutionary War? Argue with history Bro. |
mabea:He couldn't have been referring to Trump but USA. UK gave USA independence along with other things. |
Firgemachar:Kudos to you. History you know! |
His opinion is not correct, of course. This is why the government of deceit being run by your gang has turned Nigeria around in the past years of being at the helm of decisions-making Great minds think alike. Your disagreement on the opinion of a man who has more insight on building economies than all your cronies proves that you don't share similar mind. Yours clearly tends towards Lilliputian mind. |
praizblog:Exactly, it seems as competition. But by the way, it is media that's comparing not the individuals mentioned. The bottom line is, what is the wealth adding to humanity? If the answer is not glaring, then it is not really better than nigerian politicians money |
femtoj2:Good one. At least someone used Scriptures to justify explanation. Most comments are based on individual's perception. Two are related, but not same. Mercy is known much in Old Testament, while grace becomes known and revealed much in New Testament according to John 1:17, Jesus brought grace, this was why it wasn't truly known in the Old Testament. But again, mercy which couldn't be easily accessed in the Old Testament became more accessible through Jesus Who brought grace to whoever who will be willing to receive grace, as it is written that we should come boldly to the throne of grace that we might obtain mercy, Hebrews 4:16; Grace through Jesus introduced us to God's mercy. Grace works to save us through salvation, for mercy to deliver us from judgement as it is written that mercy rejoices over judgement, James 2:13; and by His mercy we are not consumed. Lam. 3:22 They work together. And I believe there is more to them than we may know. Thank God for His mercies and grace |
bezimo:Seriously? Can you imagine this write-up? Imagine what someone wrote still quoting Scriptures to back it up? So because Jesus was not described as being wealthy or rich in term of money in Gospels, He was a poverty-stricken Jesus?! Fear God please. That He became poor that we might become rich meant He was begging bread or something? When did poverty become a gift from God to men of God? It is evident that love of money for money sake is a sin; but it doesn't apply to just men of God, it applies to either men of God or children of God. It is opinion like this which makes some think poverty is a virtue. If you see where poverty has dealt with people truly, you would know that lack of money is almost a sin. An hungry man has more tendency to commit sin to satisfy his hunger than you may think. Not just love of that makes people sin, even lack of it too. Money is a reward, it flows in the direction of labour, either of a man of God, or a human made by God. The blessing of God is another dimension following a divine order. As much as I didn't want to comment on a post such as this, or even limit whatever I write, I see me doing it. |
He is a living legend, holding many Guinness book of records feats, hard to be broken. I do sincerely fear for him in his lethal stunts. But at same time, he is passing a strong message of being the best of oneself in one's doings. |
FarahAideed:Thank you... This is but to mention a few. If they have leaking memory, others don't. |
Insult to injury. Mockery coming from your lips to those who put you on that seat... To arrest a monkey you said? Has there ever been a specie of monkey which steals or swallow currency since the dawn of creation? That Nigeria will ever become a better place won't be by the making of these rogues and misfits in high places. |
Nigerian politicians style; pass the blame, play the game! If everything is okay with a leadership seat, then an incoming person is possibly not needed. That's what a political |
Insanity is always doing same thing, same way, and expecting different result. (paraphrased) Also credited to beloved Albert Einstein. |
'Probe' has lost its true meaning since it filtered to Nigeria dictionary. Welcome to the circle where 'probe' is equal to the actual correctional action. After the probe is the probe of the probe. |
Applications of machine learning, computer vision, etc of data science. The comments here cracked me up too much. Funny, yet thought-provoking! Possibly not in ten generations to come would this part of the world catch up with these kind of inventions; not when knowledge is not a priority, and necessity-birthing-invention, a goal. If many could choose, they would rather not wish to be born here... Oh Africa... What is thy curse? And Nigeria, what aileth thee irrecoverably?! |
Can a sane man be more 'finished' than this? Thou that destroyest shalt be destroyed someday... |
Ariel20:Exactly. The guy who shared the story on LinkedIn is in my network too, I wonder if he knows how bloggers have helped spread his story like harmattan wild fire. Bloggers can blog anything, with or without sense. They had to also post his picture along. Surely, internet has produced many idiots more than it can account for. |
I really really wished the VP could come around to read comments on nairaland about the thread of his, on being possibly the first born again VP. Mostly after seeing the stances of people about being a born again. Either of these would have happened: 1. To sincerely resign because of his voice that has become dumbest than silence by cooperating with the evil of the day, and because it will soon be judged by history that the so-called born again vice never made any difference whatsoever. 2. To suddenly become awake from this sickening slumber and become a voice and an act that history will have in good record... Because, while not condemning the sacred faith, in the long run, it is not being born again that makes a nation great, it is rather doing the right thing at the right moment in rewriting for the better the story of humanity. Your faith is personal, but at same time it tends towards being a selfish faith if it becomes polluted by the prevalent political stenches of the day, if you only join them not to make a difference but because you can't beat them. No one cares about your religion forasmuch you make life better. Rather being born again ought to have been a plus for the VP... But opposite seems the case, just now. |
The dog bent on getting lost wouldn't heed the hunter's whistle. All for good. Sometimes you need to overreach to tip over, and then fall headlong. |
Shegzy8:Thank you for speaking sense here. Even a 60-year old leader in an advanced country will set most of our youths on their toes in knowledge base of how things should work. The oldies ruling here are of cavemen of the primitive era in comparison of their sheer ignorance. Why comparing light and darkness? |
bilms:Possibly Nigerians should expect another denial of this same news by him. To start with, Babangida is not a GCON. Most likely confusion is taking toll heavily on the spokesperson and the person spoken for, altogether. |
What happens in the prison is a reflection of what is happening to the country as a whole. In the advanced climes, they call prison department of correction, here it is house of horror, the closest to hell. Nigeria and shame almost synonymous. |
How will Nigeria get more of this rare man? Most likely Nigeria would have been a better place if we had more of this Luther King spirit, vocal and fearless. Nigeria, most religious and praying nation, with less commensurate positive changes. Strategies had better be changed. |
Firstgentleman1:Politicians Prostitution. Same old, rickety, froward folks. Changed container, same content. |
You should have been bothered about your own candidate. Who is preventing PMB from making Nigeria great? You are not a failure until you blame someone else for your situation. |
Saint Ex President Obasanjo has spoken well. In the least, let PMB also disown 2nd term bid or even resign now, for the records, so as to become a saint who could lend his voice of guidance to the president of the day. 'It is more honourable to fail than to cheat.' (Abraham Lincoln) Pun intended; oxymoron much more intended. |
