You keep making these mistakes. Lagos state budget is not better itemized than Borno state budget. It is how each state implements their budget that is important.

thelastPope: Most of the links on that page are dead links. The PDF files have been removed. You are exposing your governor more. They are too scared, obviously, to put the details of their expenditure out in public view.

thelastPope: To say there is no budget for food and entertainment when there is food and entertainment expenses is actually an indictment on LASG. You cannot spend what is not budgeted for. Governance is a constitutional thing, not a personal things. The launch of the blue rail project last week saw a lot of people scrambling for food and refreshment. Someone even tried to suggest that it was the contractor that provided the refreshment!

That was a lot of money spent just in one event. To suggest that such monies are not budgeted for is to admit that the LASG is being run like a private enterprise and maybe that is the case. Such amount of money cannot be called sundry expenses. That will mean the budget is not transparent and will also mean the house of assembly is not doing their job. Government, at all levels, have budget for everything down to the pen and pins used in the offices. @op. maybe someone will need to invoke the FOI to strutinise the budget. Most of those talking trash to you here have no knowledge of what is in the LASG budget. They are just paid sycophants and party thugs. You will get nothing from them so no need to engage them. They have neither seen nor read a copy of LASG budget document in their lives.

Note that feeding and refreshment are interchangeable.

Every state should have a budget that takes care of such refreshment. It may have been lumped together with other things but for the purpose of transparency and accountability, it has to be de-lumped, if it was previously lumped together with other budget sub-heads, and DECLARED.

The 8 cargo airports are not new airports but rather 8 existing airports have been earmarked as cargo airports. Today's documentary on AIT showed the warehouses and cold storage already being constructed as part of the airport renovation currently going on across the country. So get that straight.

Situation report from most of the centers was that the protest has been hijacked by failed, disgruntled politicians especially at the active centers, which was not far from the truth.

The NEC was faced with either going ahead with the systematic shutting down of oil installations across the country to cripple the economy and spite the government or take same decision and play into the hands of the politicians.

NLC/TUC NEC were also availed informations on how some governors especially in the Opposition camp and few from the rank of PDP SECRETLY endorsed the idea of subsidy removal ab initio and the additional income it brings into their kitty but for political exigency, OPENLY denounced and criticized the FG.

This is why Peter Esele always tell anybody that cares to listen that it is not enough to just keep criticizing the government at the Federal level for subsidy removal investment, attention should also be shifted to the State governors who are part of the decision making from the outset and are benefiting massively from the subsidy disbursements.

None of the governors across the federation have openly rejected the monthly subsidy payment so far, and this tacitly corroborated the assertions by NLC/TUC on the occupy nigeria protest was being played directly or indirectly into the hands of politicians.

pheliciti: Sir, JB didn't fund the Project. Initial funds released in 2009 by Lagos State in the sum of N10b. Concession is for installation of tolling system as well as the O&M of the bridge. This information is readily available in the public domain. Tolling, apart from for commercial reasons, would have to be done otherwise, a 2nd free alternate road would amount to a dimunition in the earnings of LCC. I stay on that axis I look forward to plying the road.
