And like so many other issues bothering this country, the government isn't doing anything serious yet to address it. I really don't blame those who want out of this country. |
When folks like you talk and say it's alright with the way Buhari is going about his appointments, you display your inbred hatred for Nigeria and for her future for the world to see. How would feel if a president from another region comes in and start appointing only people from his region for key positions? Would you be here still typing this bullsh*t about competence over federal character as if there are no longer people of high integrity in other regions? Or do you suppose that Buhari will be there forever? Check the meaning of "precedence",and find out how it relates to Buhari and his sectional appointments. |
bashirolu:You wouldn't understand, even if you were slapped in the face with the explanation. My initial comment was meant for people like you - continue in your ignorant euphoria. |
Read between the lines, folks. This is a coded statement in support of Biafra; an indirect awareness campaign, howbeit, dumb. No need replying this kind of thread or attacking the poster. Let those who hate Biafra and what it stands for wallow in their Ignorant euphoria in this kind of thread. |
Suddenly he has remembered his kinsmen and that he has a red cap. |
phyllosilicate:What sort of linkage are you talking about that the Igbos have with Bini? That the kings you mentioned above have some identical items do not in any way prove that they are of the same ancestry. Cultures borrow from one another. Would you say that since Nigerians wear western styled suits that they are now westerners or whites? Anyway, come to think of it,the Binis say that they had ancient rulers who they called Ogisos and who they said came from the heavens( meaning that the Ogisos were not Binis- more or less).Take the above into account, then go through this thread with open mind: https://www.nairaland.com/1975320/ancient-igbo-rule-over-parts. |
Well, from all what I've gathered here, there's no doubt whatsoever that Ikwerres are Igbos. It's only but an ignorant fellow that will bear Igbo names(even his/her great grand parents had Igbo names too),speak Igbo language, have Igbo kings, have Igbo culture and still allow some other persons to rewrite his/her history. That is the most subtle and easiest way for the person's genealogy and identity to be lost. As for the Ijebus, the Aworis; especially the Ijebus,I feel they still have a lot of researches to do concerning their ancestry. Personally,I feel they are not Yorubas; or atleast not from the stock of the 'conc' Yorubas. Infact, majority of them greatly differ from the 'conc' Yorubas in terms of physical attributes, character, social disposition etc. Weldone Pazienza. I like how you comment with facts, experience and maturity. |
alabiafra10:Guy this is wrong. Don't ridicule and spoil someone's business and sweat just because you want to promote yours. Even biafrans will be totally against this. |
This woman,as far as i'm concerned, is a full fledged boko haram sympathizer and co-conspirator. So she knew all along the individual members of boko haram who have been committing all these attrocities and yet never reported them to the relevant authorities. Infact, she cooked for them, supplied drugs to them for them to be doing more harm to innocent people, and here she is again indirectly campaigning for amnesty for. These are the kind of people sabotaging the efforts of the government on this fight. Who knows how many more like her out there? She should be arrested ASAP and made to divulge all she knows. |
azzima:when you guys decide to make public your opinion on issues, learn to think deeply and logically; it really doesn't take much to do. Infact it's a way of excercising the brain. You shouldn't just be supporting someone brashly without recourse to critical analysis and thinking. Do you know the implications of suspending the constitution, even if it's in a bid to fight corruption? Don't you know that it's a perfect recipe for dictatorship and tyranny? Have you considered the kind of precedence it will be for future governments;or you think Buhari will be president forever? Think. |
Pussymonster:You joined Nairaland recently, and here you are opening this kind of thread. Smh.. Tribalism is in your blood. |
You'll see how a lot of arm-chair-analysts will come and criticize, even demonize this noble initiative of Fayose without telling us exactly what other previous governments in Ekiti have done towards empowering the people. Weldone Fayose. Don't mind what the nay sayers will say. |
I think it's still too early to start praising this man. That's how they always start looking very promising when their case is still in court, only for tgem to start fumbling after winning the court case. Give whoever is the governor like 2 or 3 yrs, then we can start assessing his performance. |
Cutehector:And what's to prove they've not visited before and still visiting, atleast to some selected people? My brother, the world is too big to think we're alone. It will amount to a very big waste of space and resources for Earth to be the only inhabited place. |
What is he going there to look for? Is he a spy or something? Isn't his office a ''mere appendage''? Abeg he should allow stakeholders discuss serious issues. |
attacker231:Oga,you can laugh from now till the next 4 years, your laughter is in vain and self-mockery. Under your very own nose,Tinubu was out-smarted in the game. I know the next thing you'll do is to start attacking the Igbos. *grins*. |
Good move by Ekiti state. It is only the ignorant ones that will criticize this initiative. Most of these guys you see in Aba and Onitsha doing one kind of trade or the other are graduates. Don't let what they do fool you. And some of them earn even earn twice more than what state civil servants take home. There's dignity in labour. No need of ''forming'' while being jobless and waiting for handouts from the government. |
royalcatier:blah blah blah blah blah... Childish immature rants. I told you to bleep off, didn't i? Now do it,and while at it, locate your mother's grave and piss on it for failing in her duty to an id.iot like you. |
royalcatier:You must be a first class idi.ot for taking this long just to respond to a simple comment i made. Just bleep off... |
tayebest:Mr Man,just shu.t the hell up if you don't know what to say! Must you be defending GMB when it's obvious he's already started on a very low note? He should have had plans already on stopping this insurgents even before contesting. Now you're saying that Nigerians should be patient while more and more people die? Better tell GMB to get off his dry a.ss and perform the magic he promised during his campaign. |
shachris03:I see... So this is the reason you don't want Biafra. So what happens if tomorrow, the Northerners or Southwesterners decide they want to leave and have their own nations respectively? You would fight them or start preaching to them as you're doing now to S/easterners? |
Op,i don't just seem to understand your types. What is it are you benefiting from this country Nigeria that is too dificult for you to give up for the sake of having your own independent nation? What are you even scared of? If the white men didn't amalgamate the protectorates and formed Nigeria, would there be anything like Nigeria? And would you be here having sleepless night and forming 'One Nigeria'? Let me ask you again - what are you scared of if indeed you're Igbo? You better give it a rest and face other pertinent issues instead of unsolicited free adverts. |
Where are Madam Oby and her cohorts when you need them? This is the moment for them to start their "sincere" campaign for bringbackourgirls. They should even take it up a notch and protest against the recent bomb blasts by Bokoharam. As for PMB,we don't just want statements issued from the comfort of Abuja,he should be at the red zone giving Nigerians current situation reports. |
deleib:You coward, the atrocities your parents and grandparents committed against Biafrans still haunt you till today. Keep on opening threads on Biafra and be creating more awareness on the cause. |
Simple truth is that Nigeria is a very diverse nation, and her problems overwhelmed you and GEJ. |
They just keep on devising new ways of killing people more efficiently. The question is: who monitors the people that are supposed to monitor others? |
Abia state it is... Abia needs urgent intervention. Sometimes i allow myself to wish Akpabio would take over in Abia. Truly,a people deserve the kind of leadership they get. |
