Christianity Etc › Re: Should A Believer Join A Protest Against The Government? by hahn(m): 8:35am On Jun 14, 2021 |
DavidAO: This question has been on my mind lately, I watch how things happen so fast and wonder if these things are actually in accordance with the person of Christ and what the Bible says.
It’s mind bugging that Nigeria is a very religious society but our practices outside these religious temples are quite the opposite what the books say. I can understand if a Muslims does certain things as they are not aware of the truth but it’s very baffling when those who claim to be follow Christ act certain ways.
Our mission as believers is to live out the person of Christ, take action as he would. We have to Bible for us to learn about his person, and the Holy Spirit to teach us his character so we do not deviate. Sadly enough, the person of Jesus is absent in our society. Our society realistically reflects the person of Satan.
This question should never even come to life but it has to because people are more easily influenced by others than focus on biblical information.
Jesus shows us an exceptional character we must put up in the face of oppression. In fact, the apostles being led by the Holy Spirit continued this character by being obedient till death. The Bible has many apostles telling us that we must obey the government and explained that we must do so in reverence to God so that we might silent noise makers.
Sadly people do not care about Jesus whenever it’s time to lash out at the president or anyone in office, or engage in protest against lawful authority as contrary to biblical instructions. In fact, many religious leaders are in the habit of inciting the people against the government as a show of their spiritual identity. These things are all works of flesh according to Galatians 5:20.
Protest whether lawful or unlawful are a demonstration against lawful authority and it doesn’t in anyway represent Christ in us. While we may not endorse the behavior of people in office, it’s important that we see them as playing their part to help us actualize our destiny in Christ. Protest is a satanic nature and it should not be a part of a person who claims to follow Christ.

Cutezt: So I have this 9 weeks old eskimo dog, she is lovely and a beauty to behold. I love her so much and play a lot with her, but my only problem is that she doesn't know where to urinate. She urinates on my tiles which gets me annoyed a lot of times, I have watched dog potty training videos and tried all the tips but with very little success. I have a potty for her kept in the toilet but she prefers to urinate on my room tiles.
I have tried to keep the potty where she loves to go urinate but everytime, she shuns it and still urinate on the tiles, and at one point, I beat her and put her in the bathroom so she can see that when she urinated there, I won't beat her and will reward her, but this dog held the urine for over 10 hours and immediately I opened the bathroom door, she rushed out to the room and urinated on the tiles.
I don't know what to do again, please house, help me, she seems to be confusing the room for the rest room and the rest room for the room. That dog go still reach one plate of pepper soup. Chop am make you lock up |

Twitter is a business, with advertisers, and they are loosing money every day with this ban. This is a fact. Know your worth. Nigeria is the 7th most populous nation in the world. I am not supporting the ban, but people saying Twitter won't reach out to Nigerian government for a resolution have no idea how online business works. Obviously. Celebrities › Nigerian Professor Bags Prestigious Award From US Universities by hahn(op): 11:29am On May 06, 2021 |
Award of Excellence in Teaching:
Shoutout to our very own, Dr. Charles A. Malgwi who received the Prestigious Bentley University 2021 Gregory H. Adamian Award for Excellence in Teaching! This award, according to the Office Of The Provost of Bentley University states, “This annual award is given to a Faculty member who demonstrates a consistent commitment to educating Bentley students by challenging them intellectually and serving as a source of inspiration and motivation.”
Dr. Malgwi has been an Accounting Professor at Bentley University for 23 years. This award is unlike any other in many respects to Professor Malgwi. Bentley University is one of the best Private Business Universities in the United States. The University is endowed with outstanding Faculty and scholars and best known for teaching. Winning such an award in such a competitive environment of world class teachers is nothing short of impressive! Secondly, not many minority faculty receive such an award. Accounting is perhaps one of many students’ challenging courses. Therefore, motivating students as an Accounting Professor can be a real challenge, especially in the midst of a pandemic where many classes are conducted remotely.
Professor Malgwi earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of Reading, United Kingdom; his MBA from Suffolk University, Boston, USA; his MSc, BSc, and professional Diploma in Accounting & Finance, all from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, and a graduate from Teachers Training College, Waka - Biu, Borno State, Nigeria. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS), Certified Board Advisor (CBA, and the Founder, President & CEO of Corruption Prevention Institute (CPI). So join me in congratulating Dr. Charles A. Malgwi for a job well done!!!

Education › Re: Nigeria Junior Secondary School English & Maths Exam Papers In 1946 by hahn(m): 4:07pm On Apr 30, 2021 |
farem: These were exam questions in1946 for 'Middle IV' which is the equivalent of JS2 now, I believe. I wonder how many of our graduates now could pass these exams easily. No wonder our secondary school leavers of the past could think deeper and ask questions better than many people that carry themselves around today as graduates. Sad.
I am of the opinion that we need to restructure our educational system by strengthening free primary and secondary education. We need to have more technical schools to encourage the trades. As for tertiary education for our youth, we need to develop a realistic, reliable and sustainable funding model that will ensure independence of the university system and also quality delivery therefrom. For now, we seem to be obsessed with building our universities on large expanse of lands with buildings all over the place but fail to equip and supply laboratories therein.
I think we need to restructure our educational system to aim at bringing out people at all levels that can create jobs. Not just job-seekers.

I am just a regular computer user who have zero knowledge on the aforementioned prospects. Pls, someone should tell me where to start from. I am more inclined to the software/hardware prospects
Is his age too small? Do we have specialised learning centres that I can enrol him?
Thanks in advance Let him start it as a hobby or a side thing. Don't let it be about the money. Programming will help him learn how to learn as he will come across and solve a lot of problems on his own. I am a digital marketer myself and my son is definitely going to learn. Education › Re: Accommodating An Insolent Girl by hahn(m): 12:18am On Apr 28, 2021 |
daveyjay: Good day NLers, please I need your take on this. I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.
A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now
I offered a roof over her head.
The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed
I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy. Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.
She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook. I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!
She got angry and took some money and left
That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response. I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies
The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.
On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes... I made her understand that I am her benefactor. Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...
Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.
What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.
She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...
Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??! I owe you a bottle of beer |

rotimioluwamuyi: I really need help and strategies to handle this matter. My wife sister came three weeks ago to live with us. She is 22 yrs. My problems now is her dressing mode which my wife is not careful about.
This lady always wear see-through singlets and night gowns. She has big breasts and always displaying them. I don't know how I will tell my wife to talk her sister to cover herself. She may feel bad that I'm attracted to her sister.
During the sallah holiday, I was with her alone because my wife don't holiday in her place of work, I have to leave the house and stay in the accommodation given to me in my place of work.
This morning, I carried my undies to wash, she crossed me and told me to give it to her to wash, the towel she tied because she was going to bathroom before was removing and showing her full breasts and she never worry about that.
Our marriage is just one year and I never cheated on my wife and she trusted me but her sister is really giving me emotional trauma. Can you imagine, yester night, my wife went to a programme, I was with her. So I called her around 8 pm that we should pray and go to bed. This lady came with a see-through night gown with a push up bra that put all breasts outside. Even her pant color was visible. I tried to control myself....
Even this morning, she came for prayer with the same gown and my wife did not caution her..... How can I handle this matter? Your wife is for the working Her sister is for the fucking |

DSC7: I met this girl last week, we discussed for a while then i let my intentions known to her... She accepted and fell in love with me...
TBH i loved her too unconditionally, after 3days she paid me a visit, we talked, got to know each other better and ended up having an epic romance but no sex because i had no condom at home when she visited....
Yesterday she visited again and i heard the worst news i never expected...
As we were talking she was just staring in space, i noticed and asked her what is bothering her,, she was reluctant to open up but after persuading her she open up to me.....
She told me that she came here to hustle but along the line she discovered that she is pregnant, she called her bf and told him but he ended up telling her to take care of her self that he is not ready for any pregnancy issue... After some days she called him again but his number was switched off.. Since then she have not heard from him...
Now the problem is that she wants to terminate the pregnancy but i talked her out of it because it's a 50/50 something... She agreed to keep it but since yesterday i have been thinking of how to continue with her, I don't know whether to end the Relationship or to still keep her so her sanity would still be intact... She looks so disturbed, betrayed and depressed but she told me that anytime she is around me she feels comfortable because i was still showing her love and caring despite her condition...
My brothers and gentle men i need your input because i am confused.... A friend of mine was in this situation and he accepted the child. It's one of his worse mistakes. Bro, move on. Don't be Captain Save-a-ho. |
