I was once 14 and I grew up in Nigeria. I didn't grow up on the street, I am your typical ‘omo wole get inside'. I remember when I was 14 and I remember that I knew my right from wrong. I also recognise my desires and needs, I do whatever I did because I could and I am still the same person years after.

I trust a 14-year old girl on this isuse. I am tried if the world trying to create a fantasy world. A 14-year old is old enough to know what she is doing, including the consequences of her actions. I wish I could speak to Ese, then we can find out whether or not she understood what she was doing.



I don't need statistics what about family members and neighbours? I am surprised most Nigerians find this strange. Go to your nearest public secondary school, ask to see the school counsellor, you will be surprised with what you learn.
